Internal Order to track revenues

Hi All,
Wanted to know what setting we make in Internal Order Type so that it can be used for tracking revenues instead of costs.
If we don't set this in Internal Orrder Type , then how can we acheive this?
When I look at 'Control Tab' at Internal Order Master and try to check 'Revenue Postings' options system is not allowing me to do so .
Please suggest

Edit the order type in t.code KOT2_OPA and enable "Revenue Postings" under Control Indicators.
Regards,
Kenneth

    HI,
If at all you want to use Internal order for this purpose, you have to create a real internal order only for settlement purpose.  Statistical IO can not be settled.

  • Internal Order Report - For the documnets when the cost ele. was not create

    Hi,
We created internal orders for tracking capital expenditure relating to assets. At that time, we were not created asset GL's as cost element. Recently we created asset GL's as cost elements (category 90).
Now we are getting the internal order report after creation of cost element for the transactions done thereafter. We mentioned the internal order number in PO but not in accounting document earlier. Now we are maintaining internal order number in accounting document also.
So when we run OKBA we are getting CO document but, it is not tracking against internal order (since order number was not mentioned earlier). We executed one MM document in which internal order was mentioned through OKBB but there is no change in the internal order report.
Is there any possibility to get the internal order report for the transactions done before creation of cost element.
    Please guide me
    Best Regards

    Hi,
    Thanks for your quick replies.
Can we get the report as follows.
    1. Total Po's value for the internal Order (through Table EKKN)                                                      xxx
Less: Value already posted to Internal order after creation of cost elements (S_alr_87013019)  xxx
Less: Total Value to be invoiced (Tcode -ME2N)                                                                             xxx
Net amount to be posted to Internal Order manually                                                                        xxx
    Is it correct?

  • WIP - Internal order

    Dear Guru's,
I need a clarifications regarding WIP caluclation for Internal order.
Our client use to run the WIP calculation for Internal order during month end. Even they use to run WIP for Internal order which doesn't have any actual cost for the month. As a result system is calculating calculated cost for finding the WIP for that month, even actual cost is not booked for that month in that internal order. So our client's requirement is that, system should not calculate WIP if Actual cost is zero for that month. But i saw system is caulcuating Calculated cost while running KKA1 which is almost equal to revenue of that month booked in the inernal order.
    Few points to note:
    1. Sale order is linked to internal order
    2. Internal order is having revenue booked.
    3. Actual cost not booked for the month
    4. KKA1 is run to find the WIP(This client couldnt avoid since they have thousands of order during month end, unable to check each and every order)
    5. WIP posting is done by using calculated cost caluclated by system during KKA1 run and settled to FI
    6. Now system should not do WIP caculation if Actual cost is zero i.e. system should not calcaulted Calcualted cost if Actual cost is zero?
Kindly let me know if this approach is correct and provide us the soultion.
    Regards,
    Hem

    Hi Hemkumar,
I presume when you say 'system should not calcaulted Calcualted cost if Actual cost is zero' you mean the periodic actual cost and not cumulative.
If this is the case you will have to go for RA enhancement.
With enhancement you can force the periodic calculated cost to be zero irrespective of revenue.
The revenue will go as revenue surplus in this case.
But before that I want you to try RA type and profit indicator as E, C and valuation basis I.
Note that it is not recommended that you ignore these orders from RA calcuation in any period.
You have to find a way to run the RA and get the desired results at the same time.

Mani as you suggested ME2K was working fine, but anyway we need to drill down further to double of each field.
As Nico suggested building a query, to view all at a same time is good & perfect to use.
So please suggest me, what are the tables and fields map to build a query? because Itu2019s very easy for me to assign fast.

  • Sales Order value updating in the Internal Order Revenue Planning

    Dear All,
We have created an Internal Order and entered the planned value of the Revenue & Costs. When we create the Sales Order ,the Planned Revenue value of the Internal Order is updating by the Sales Order Value, but as per the client requirement ,the planned value of the Internal Order should not get updated by the sales order value.
Please note that we have activated the CO-PA.Is this CO-PA activation is affecting the Internal Order planned values by the Sales Order value?.If so how to come from this issue.
Please help me as how to resolve this issue.
    Regards
    Subbu

    Hi,
Thanks for giving the appropriate SAP Note and I have referred the said note, but in note the SAP has said that
"The attached modification deactivates the update for the order for all order categories (CO internal order, PM order, CS order)."
In our scenario we need to update the planned vales in the CO Internal Order ,PM Order and CS Order except the Sales Order value. Is there any other alternative solution without affecting the CO Internal Order,PM order and CS Order?
Please share as we are in the process of testing.
    Thanks

  • Error while posting revenue to internal order

    Hi
I made an internal order for income and tried to post the revenue in that but an error is coming, That is :
    Order 100040 cannot carry revenues
    Message no. KO014
    Diagnosis
You have tried to post an order, which is not allowed to carry revenues, under a revenue element (or the system determined the order automatically).
The field "Revenues" in the order type determines whether revenues can be posted to an order or not.  Orders carrying revenues cannot be settled to a cost center.
    System Response
    Order 100040 cannot carry revenues.
    Procedure
    You can either
    enter a different order.
enter a different cost element (not a revenue element).
After that i changed the tick to the revenue also but it was not solved. please guide.
    Thanks

    hi
i have put a tick on the revenue posting in the control indicator and settlement profile there is Gemeinkosten- 20.
Can u tell me that where i have to select revenue for the posting and which profile shall i select, because this profile is not suitable for the revenues.
    Thanks for the reply.

  • Internal Order settlement to one value field in CO-PA (revenue and cost CE)

    hi there,
we want to settle an internal order to one CO-PA Value field.
The problem is, that when on the internal orders are postings with CE type revenue and costs, in settlement it reduces the internal oder by the correct amount, but in CO-PA all values come with positive sign)...That would be fine if we would use several value fields, but we want to use only one value field for this settlement..
IO: Revenue: 10 Cost 5  ---> 5  --> thats the amount we want to transfer to CO-PA through settlement
    in COPA: 15  (10 + 5)..
I treid to exclude the revenue CE from settlement, but this doesn't work (settlement rule incomplete)
    Thank you for your help.
    Regards,
    Markus

    Hi,
The sign of a value field in CO-PA for the settlement of orders, projects is always determined depending on the cost element type of the cost element/account.
The logic is as follows for record type C:
                               sign in CO-PA for postings
    cost element type            debit          credit
        11                                   -               +
        others                             +               -
The logic of settlement into CO-PA works like this:
1.) The first step is that all values are transferred from the sender as they were posted in the database on this side
On the sender side all debits have '+' sign and all credits have    a '-' sign no matter what cost element type is used.
Usually costs are posted as debit with cost element type '1'    and revenues as credits with cost element type '11'.
2.) The second step reverses the sign of all cost elements with type    '11' (and exclusively those).
The intention is to have only positive values in CO-PA to be used in reporting. (There you can set up rules what needs to be added or subtracted).
Note 369378 explains the logic and provides a workaround.
    regards
    Waman

  • Transfer cost & revenue to internal order defined inthe service order.

    Dear Experts,
On release, service order creates internal order that collects cost & revenue for the job. My requirement is to transfer these costs & revenue to a different internal order through crm order itself. In CRM order there is option to assign the account assignment object as " Internal Order ". This is under tab Account Assignment. Here we can enter any internal order no.
On saving order doesnt throw any error message. But Cost & revenues are not transafered to the I/O mentioned in the CRM service order. Is there any config. setup missing or should we look for BADI enhancement.
Can anyone help me in fixing this issue Plz. Your early response would be most appreciated.
    Thank U,

    Hi,
Just to get cleared, have you set up a Billing Engine in CRM and also the Administrate Console for Billing to flow in CRM with Middleware settings + Item Category (Billing Relevance)
Cause the above are very necessary for your requirement.
Apart from those, in ECC, you need to maintain values  under
    IMG>Integration with other mySAP.com components>CRM>Settings for Service Process>Billing Integration
Hope this information helps, as I am assuming it that others are maintained by you.

Is it possible to post the revenue to an internal order using VA01 (rel. 4.7 level 27).
    Thanks
    Karla

    Hi,
As per your query you can do the same but in case you have not reced the purchase order quantity then you have to go for make reverse entry to correct this.
I will suggest you, do not configure this type of setting othewise you will never know the the difference value of your po and actual payment.

  • Impute revenue to Internal Order from SD

    Hi Experts,
Is it possible to impute revenues to Internal Order from SD? Is necessary some configuration?
    Thanks in advance.
    José Luis

If your cost of sales account is not setup as a cost element (which it shouldn't be if you are using cost based COPA), then you will need to created another cost of sale G/L account which does have a cost element and use that account for this transaction.  The G/L account that is selected for cost of sales is based on the movement type selected in the sales transaction and the valuation class assigned to the material.
The easiest way of having the system find a different G/L account for this is to use a material in the sale transaction with a different valuation class that can be assigned to this new G/L account.  You can use transaction code (FBKP) to assign the G/L account to the correct account modifier for that valuation class.
If you can't use a different valuation class (because this material is used in other situations as well), then the process is more complicated.  You will need to have the sales transaction find a different movement type for this so that you can assign a different account modifier and G/L account.  You will probably need to work with your S/D consultant to make this work, but I'll take you through some of the steps.
In the standard system, movement type 601 is usually used to issue the inventory against the delivery and record the cost of goods sold accounting posting.  The trick here is to assign a different movement type to this speicific transaction.  The movement type is assigned to the schedule item category that is assigned to the sales line.  The schedule item category is derived from the item category, so you may need to have your S/D consultant create a new item category, a new schedule item category, and a new movement type for you.  Now that you have a new movment type, you assign a account key and modifier to the movment type.  From there assign the correct G/L account to the account key and modifier for your valuation class.
    thanks,

  • Internal Order not allowed for revenue posting

    Hello all,
I have a problem, while doing migo for subcontracting materials(movement type 105) following error has occurred:
Message no. KO014:Order 5000012 cannot carry revenues
    Steps i have followed:
Step-1: In transaction MB1B materials are transferred to stock with subcontractor with movement type -541(Transfer posting to stock with subcontractor from unrestricted.-use stock) and with reference to scheduling agreement number. (A material document is generated).
Step-2: Creation of Subcontracting Challan through T-code-J1IF01 with reference to material document generated in step-1 above.
Step-3:  Goods receipt through T-Code-MIGO with movement type 103(Goods receipt for purchase order into GR blocked stock) with reference to scheduling agreement number mentioned above. (A material document number is generated)
Step-4: Release of GR blocked through T-Code-MIGO with movement type 105(GR from blocked stock) and with reference to material document generated in step-3 above.
When the material document is checked, system does not give any error but at the time of posting the same system displays the following message:
    Order 5000012 cannot carry revenues
The above order is an internal order and is assigned to Stock Change Account (a primary cost element) in OKB9 (Default account assignment).

    Hi
Go to T.code KO02 and check in the Control data tab if your Internal Order is blocked for Revenue Posting or not.

  • Internal order with revenues: settling to FI and PSG

    Hi,
    I have this scenario:
    - internal order with revenues has to settle to FI when not TECO - this is working
    - when order status becomes TECO - it has to reverse the previous posting - it' s working
and settle to PSG, acording to settlment rule - this is the part where I need help, because it's not working.
    Can anybody help me?
    Thanks,
    Lavinia

    Hi,
Sorry for the delay and thank for you answer, but I have the PA transfer structure configured, also the settlement profile alows PSG and  the transfer structuer is alocate to the settlemnet profile. The thing is that when I don't have a RA key, the settlement to PSG is working fine.
Anyway, the customer changed his mind and doesn't need  RA for this type of orders and for the moment I don't need a solution

  • Bill accounting assignment - statistical revenue posting on internal order

    Hello,
I'm wondering if it is possible that revenues from a billing document can be posted as statistic revenues on internal orders while the 'real' revenues are posted into COPA.
We would like to see the revenues directly in COPA as we we write more than one bill to different customers for development projects which we are controlling at the moment with internal orders. When we settle the internal orders the revenues are always going to one revenue object with one customer (depending on the settlement rule in the internal order) which is wrong. Nevertheless we need to see the revenues in the internal order in order to control the p/l of it.
    Thanks a lot in advance.
