Logs of ORG UNIT

Hi ,
How to check logs of ORG UNIT like assignment of roles, removal of roles and validity changes to ORG UNIT ???

We have prod system in which role assignment is indirect.. Like roles are assigned to ORG UNIT and POSITION
We dont assign roles user based..
Structure is like this..
ORG UNIT ---> Positions -
> Users
Under ORG unit , there would be several POSITIONS and under POSITION there would be several users..
Some one has removed roles from ORG UNIT and all users under this ORG UNIT lost access....
We need to find out who did it ....

    As you will be aware users can be in many positions (under the org units) in the org structure and when we log onto the Web IC we get the option of which one we would like to use... Is there a function that can read this Org unit so we can use it in the printer determination BADI to decide what printer the prints will go to ???

    If a user is assigned to multiple org units within a single business role, he/she is given the option to select among the org units when Web UI is launched. After selecting, in the subsequent screens, how to find out dynamically which particular Org Unit he/she logged in through?

    to get the Business role or profile using user name, pls use the class CL_CRM_UI_PROFILE_DETERM and use the method DETERMINE_PROFILE_VIA_ORG_MGMT.
    to determin the logged in role and its organiztion unit proceed as follows
    1) Get the user orgunit and roles list using the above said class - methoid which returns table
    2) once you got the result get the Business role the user is currently loged in by using the parameter id CRMT_UI_PROFILE it will return the current business role.
    3) now read the table in point 1 with this busineess role where u will get the orgunit.
    more over there is no static method  for the class  CL_CRM_UI_PROFILE_DETERM  so either you have to create the instance for this class or simply copy the code in the method  DETERMINE_PROFILE_VIA_ORG_MGMT and use the same code some where else in the other class method.

  • Org Chart 3.0 - Print button on Org Unit's Profile not working

    Hi,
    In Org Chart, after we click on the Org Unit, then the details will be displayed on the right panel.
    We clicked on the Action button on the right panel, and click on the Org Unit Profile, a new window will be opened.
    Now, clicked on the small printer button on the top right corner.
    It will opened a new window with print preview to print that profile page.
    However, the print preview is empty, and when we printed this out, we get a blank page.

    Hi Luke,
    In General Settings, I have defined Company Title, URL, and Logo.
    Together with Allow Switching Between Modes, Set Standard Mode as Default, and Enable Effective Dating are enabled.
    In Print preferences, Size is set to A4, Landscape, CM. The rest are all unchecked and Export settings are all enabled.
    Am I missing some setting to cause the error?
    Regarding the file SettingsResources.xml, it's encrypted in our .delta folder but it's decrypted in Admin_Config\SAP_DB2

    How can I add a specific organization Unit with a particular User Id, i.e when ever that user id logs in into system and create a transaction the org. unit assigned with him determined automatically.

    Hi Rahul,
    We don't assign the Organization unit to the user in the SU01. In SU01 we assing the PFCG roles and authorization related stuff.
    Rather we create the Organization model, assign positions and then assign the user to the relevant position under the required organization unit using the tcode "PPOMA_CRM".
    When you setup the Organization determination procedure, then automatically while creating the transaction, the Organization Unit of the person who is creating the Transaction gets determined.

    It is possible.
    But before that need to chk with basis guys whether unicoding is enabled or not.
    If Yes the chk chineese script is enabled or not.
    If yes then maintain the orgunits in english language by entering SAP in English language (U can find the language seletion field in log in screen).
    Upload the orgunits. then go to Tcode RE_RHTRANS0 to put the names in Chineese.
    This is one option.
    2nd option is prepare the excel sheet with Chineese language with orgunit keys. Log in into SAP in Chineese language.
    Upload the data.

    As soon as you make the profile selection,IC sets the profile and org unit in the session.
    You can read them using
    Data: lv_prof     type ref to if_ic_profile,
                    pname       type        string,
                    orgunit     type        crmt_ic_org_unit.
    lv_prof = cl_ic_profile_service=>get_instance( ).
    pname = lv_prof->get_profile( ).
    org_unit = cl_crm_ic_services=>get_org_unit(  ).

  • Org Unit with more than one Chief Position

    Hi,
    we have implemented MSS via the portal using a one-to-one relationship between Org Units and Chief Positions, and we would now like to have multiple Chief positions attached to one Org Unit.
    As far as I can tell from the SAP documentation, this should be straightforward, but the results we are getting do not seem correct.
    I have an Org Unit that has position 1 and position 2 assigned to it with relationship A/B 012 denoting that they are Chief Positions.
    User 1 is holder of position 1 and user 2 is holder of position 2. 
    Both users have the same security roles.
    The views used on the portal are configured using the MSS Object and Data Provider functionality, using the standard ORGEH view, evaluation path for root objects SAP_MANG and evaluation path objects SBES.  The checkbox 'Excl. Managers' is ticked.
    The problem is this - both users can see all the subordinate employees in the Org Unit when they log on to MSS but user 1 can also see user 2 in his list of employees, which is not correct as user 1 and user 2 are both chiefs.  User 2 cannot see user 1 in his list of employees, which we would expect.
    The only logic we can see for user 1 being able to see user 2's details is that user 1 must be somehow defined as the 'superior' Chief Position, but we have not defined this as far as we know.
    Any ideas as to why this is happening for us?

    Hi Fran,
    Sounds like you have set up the reporting structures and MSS properly.  I do question why two chiefs for one org unit.  As you stated, both can see all employees and so both can approve time, give pay increases, etc. without the approval of the other.  If this is want you want, then you have set it up properly.  Usually, one has to approve the actions of the other, thus, is in a superior relationship.  This can be handled by having a higher level new org unit with the higher person as chief and the lower stay as head of the lower org unit which reports to it. 
    As you have it now, both individuals have the same rights and access.  They should both be excluded from iViews if you checked the "Excl. Managers" box.  Since, you just recently made one a manager, have you checked for any date dependencies?  If the Chief #1 is selecting a view for "Current Year", for example, he would be able to see all persons who reported to him for this year, which includes Chief #2.  There are no 'superior chief' designations (except by structure), so without being able to view your configuration, my suggestion is to check all dates for the assignments and relationships vs. dates of the view.

  • Display of total ansal for each org unit using the sdepth (depth level)

    Hi all,
         We have a requirment in which we will be getting all the active employees related to a perticular org unit then  For every PERNR,we need to  find (as of run date) the org ID on PA0001- ORGEH and total the dollars at the org unit ID level started at the org unit defined on field ORGID and only as far down as defined on selection screen field SDEPTH.
           Example: $10k under Dept D, $9k under Dept C, $8k under Dept B and $7k under Dept A. If field SDEPTH was set to blank, each department would be assigned the above stated budget amount. If SDEPTH was set to 3, the budget would stop at the third level down the org chain (assuming A is the org unit defined in field ORGID, org unit C would be the third org down the chain). The total budget at level C would incorporate any dollars calculated from employees that fall below this org unit in the structure. In this example, the total for org unit C would be $19k, B would remain at 8k and A at 7k.
        We are making use of the FM :  RH_STRUC_GET  to get all pernr numbers related to a perticular org unit and sub level units separately and also RP_ANSAL_FROM_WAGETYPES for getting ansal based on the wahge types (multiple wage types can be provided by the user on the selection screen) .
    Please let me know how can i achive the requirement.

    1. As part of divestiture/transfer postings: The system is reversing some Previous Year(PY) equity accounts into themselves. How can we get the system to eliminate them by posting to COI Clearing account. Basically, we dont want the PY accounts to be touched?
    For the Retained earnings - PY account, the system is actually posting to COI clearing account.
    These PY accounts are part of some scopes for equitization.
    Is there any link between the "balance carry forward" - list of items table and the divestiture postings?
    Does the system check this table while posting/reversing the equity(PY) accounts?
    2. I want to understand the sequence in which the system posts the documents at the old parent and new parent (group) level.
    The same activity number is there  for Total Divestiture, total transfer documents posted at new parent level and total divestiture document posted at old parent level.
    Does the system follow bottom up approach? Thereby creating total divestiture document at old parent level.
    Followed by documents at upper level (new parent level)
    Also , at the upper level(new parent level), does it post documents in the way they are shown in the log? (We havent changed the default sequence maintained in UCWB - COI settings). so it will post first consolidation doc, followed by total divestiture, followed by total transfer docs at the new parent level?
    Is this the reason for the double value being posted at new parent for equity holding data?
    Will studying the statistical items (corresponding to eliminated equity holding items) be relevant here to understand why at upper level there is double the value being posted by system?

    My Org Unit Details Panel shows up empty when I click the following:
    1. My Work Area -> My Org Units (Visualise)
    2. Expand the hierarchy and select any Org Unit (double click)
    3. The details panel on the right shows up empty.
    In the log, I see this but I'm not sure what it means. Can anyone help?

    There is either a SAP program error or there is an application bug with the data element. It looks like the first, so try implementing these SAP notes, if applicable to your system:
    u2022     1531422 - Autom. delim.: PD framework instantiation and plan version
    u2022     1565542 - Incorrect authorization message for inactive employees
    Also have a search through SAP notes in SMP. If that does not resolve your issue then raise an OSS message.

  • WF error sending notification to org unit

    Hi All,
    I'm facing an amazing issue :
    I use my WF to send notification. The recipient can be a single user or an org unit(object O, in this case all people belonging to this org unit receive the notification in theur SBWP). It was running very fine before but newly my WF goes on error if the recipient is an org unit. I checked my structure, there is no issue, people are well assigned and have their users defined in the system.
    Could you please tell me what's the root cause of this issue? Is there a configuration of WF or rules I should verify?

    here is the last news, My WF runs correctly for another org unit. I went to the detailed log(transaction SWi2_freq) and found that for the container of my task(sending notification to the org unit ) some values of the structure "_Workitem" are diffrents :
    Field "callbackFM" which value is SWP_CALLBACK_WI_DONE for both WFs
    Field "return value" :
    the WF which ran correctly : 0000
    the WF which went on error : 1001
    So I guess that this FM causes the error, but I can't find this FM with transaction SE37
    How to reach it?
    Have you faced this error before?
    A colleague audited the OM structure, he confirmed that it's well set up, and the error is not due to wrong assignements or invalid dates.

  • Not able to view reports by users under top org unit- Interactive Reports

    HI,
    We are using CRM interactive reports.
    In my project the client is having 3 Sales Org with two sales office and two sales group for each office respectively.
    When the document is created by the  sales Executiv, he and his manager is able to see it in the reports but the top person of that org unit is not able to see  the report.
       Some say the report can be viewed by only employee responsible and his manager. In my project the core team is sitting in the top ORG unit. They want to see the reports of all the sales org units.

    Dear Luke,
    I am not able to see that navigation icons within an org chart box - The org unit that is displayed on clicking the orgchart does have branches in SAP but i am not able to see these navigation icons that lead me to these branches.
    Is there any specific step that needs to be done to see these branches.
    By the way what is the log file you are refering to is it the "PresentationResources.xml " or is it any other log file.

  • Possibility of Focusing to a Specific Org Unit ?

    We are using Nakisa v4.1 and a live build. I wonder whether the below action is possible or not;
    When a manager logs into the system, the OrgChart Module will display all the organizational units BUT will focus to the organizational unit that he/she is the manager of ? I mean the screen will zoom to that organizational unit he/she is managing at the moment he/she logs in ? Is there any customization on Nakisa Admin Console or R3 side for this or it is not possible at all ?

    I think this is worth a little debugging at this point to confirm the data is mapping as you expect it to.  Once you are logged in to OrgChart and getting the infamous error message, open a new tab in your browser and navigate to the debug page.
    This is done by substituting "default" with"nak-debug".  So for example if your OrgChart URL is http://myorgchart/OrgChart/default.jsp, then your debug page URL is http://myorgchart/OrgChart/nak-debug.jsp.
    On the debug page, look in your "User" table at the "User Population" row.  The value should be a list of parameters.
    e.g.
    {null=TESTUSER, Costcenter=0000002110, LANGUAGE=, Nak_ExportStructureTable_Count=1, Position=00130049, Name=Ludik, CPID=, IM_EMPSTAT=3, BUSINESS_AREA=9500, PLVN_VERSION=, Perno=00900349, PERSONNEL_SUBAREA=, EMPLOYEE_GROUP=1, Userid=TESTUSER, Nak_EMPLOYEE_DATA_Count=1, CONTROLLINGAREA_ID=1001, KEY_DATE=, PERSONNEL_AREA=1400, Org_unit=50006110, EMPLOYEE_SUBGROUP=DU, Job=50063947}
    The parameters you are interested in are...
    Userid - this should be the user ID of the account you are logging in with.
    Perno - this should be the employee number for the account to which the login ID is associated.
    Position - this should be the position ID for the position the employee is assigned to.
    Org_unit - this should be the org unit ID for the org unit the position is assigned to.  This is what I would expect to be mapped as the root of your org chart.
    Note: All entries must of course be valid for the current date.
    See if these parameter values match up to what you expect them to be.  Also see if you can find these org unit, position and employee (personnel number) entires via OrgChart's listings.
    If something doesn't match up then that's what you need to investigate next.

    Disappering is the right behavior. On delivery method WBT participant type 'O' cannot be booked because WBT can be only accessed using Learning portal and Learning portal cannot be logged in using Org. Unit. So this is not possible for this release.
    But i have heard in EHP4 this option of Org. unit booking on WBT is possible but not directly but system will take care if you select an org unit for booking.

  • Course booking for org unit in LSO - ECC 6

    can u pls share your inputs /solution
    we are in the process of implementing LSO . The requirement right now is that we want to book courses for an Org unit. The idea is to book the courses directly to Org Unit so that all the employees have access to play the courses of their choice.
    The problem is that when we go to (LSO_PV00 - Book: Participant for Course) & select a course the Org unit tab gets disappeared. The only options that we are left with is person, user, contact person, customer etc. except org unit.
    Please let me know what we have to do so that we can assign courses to the Org unit directly & not to individual employees. Is there any other option of doing this.
