Long text mapping from SC to PR

Hi,
We are using SRM 5.0 system and have a classic model implemented.
While creating a SC the user enters the text in  long text of the shopping cart for a service item.
when this SC is converted to PR in R/3 system  the text is copied into the service text at the service level.
we would like this text to be copied to the item text in the PR.
Can some one suggest the if this needs a custom code or is it a config change.
Thanks & Regards
R.M.

Hi Ruchir,
This is not a config change in SRM 5.0. You need to implement BBP_LONGTEXT_BADI and map the text as desired.
Thanks,
Anshu

  • Text mapping from SAP SRM confirmation to ECC Servic Entry Sheet

How can we map Item and Header texts from SRM confirmations to ECC Service Entry Sheet appropriate fields.

    Hello Sanjeev,
FIrst, run report /SAPSRM/GET_TEXT_CUST_ERP in SRM. This report copy texts from backend to SRM.
Then use SPRO to map texts between SRM document and R/3 corresponding document:
SAP Implementation Guide > SAP Supplier Relationship Management > SRM Server > Cross-Application Basic Settings > Text Mapping > Text Mapping for Inbound and Outbound Texts
Standard Text ID for ERP lines of service begin with "L". They are linked to customzing object ESLL.
For more details, have a look at R/3 function module MMPUR_GET_TEXT_CUST_DATA.

  • Problem in saving long text data from custom

    Hi Expert,
I am working on a screen exit in QM01. I have created a editor box(like the description box under Description tab in QM01) using class cl_gui_custom_container and cl_gui_textedit. I am able to create and display the text I type in the box alongwith other standard changes but if I try to change and save the text only in the custom text box, it is not getting saved. I  debugged and found out that the standard does not recognize any change in the custom controller box.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sangeeta.

Solved on my own. Consider all the scenarios by Using read_text in PBO and edit_text FM in PAI. At last save_text in the PAI.

  • How to retrieve the long texts from  purchase Info record (ME13)

    Hi,
How do I retrieve the long texts data from the tab, Texts of the Purchase Info record(ME13).  I want to retrieve the current long texts data(long text1, long text2 long text3, long text4) for a given purchase info record. These long texts points to the structure BRM06I.
So, now how do I fetch the data from the structure BRM06I. Is there any function module for the same..
    Thanks.

    Hello,
Texts are stored in tables STXH & STXL (header and item). You can search these tables by selecting Text object = EINA and Text name = Info Rec #. The text ID's you will see are the ID for various texts maintained.
    Cheers !

  • SAVE_TEXT to implement long text for Material, BOM, documents etc...

    Hello,
we are working on a process to download longtexts from one system and to upload into another system to add missing long text there for different objects.
We are using SAVE_TEXT and it is working fine for documents in DRAW/DRAT.
Here we got what we expected. Long texts are uploaded and can be edited in the
    transaction CV02N.
But then we started with material and with BOMs (bill of material).
    Result of upload:
STXH is filled with entries but in MM02 and CS02 we cannot see the added long texts.
Seems that the connection between material and bom and their texts is missing.
For BOM we are not totally wrong. If there is a longtext in the BOM we can add longtext (we READ_TEXT the existing longtext and add our text. Then we do a update) and can see the added longtext in CSxx transactions.
But if there is only a short text, our insert via SAVE_TEXT is not working.
Is there something we are doing wrong or don´t we understand something?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Best regard
    Dirk

    Hello Naren,
oh, this answer was bringing light into my confusion.
My problem is that there will be some import files with any long text for any object in R/3 like
material with x textids , bom, equipment etc...
Is there any chance to find out easily which text object combination with textid belongs to a specific long text. The TTXID table is only a listing w/o any explanantion???????
Update longtext in BOM header -> set STZU-LTXSP
Update longtext alternative in BOM header -> set STKO-LTXSP
Update longtext in BOM position  -> set STPO-LTXSP
And what is the text ID DPO for?
My other problem now is with Material long text import.
I checked the SDN threats but could not find the answer.
This is my abap that is not running for material.
I can see the long text entries from READ_TEXT, but not in STXH and STXL.

  • Locking / grey out long text data in transaction IW32

Hi, I read in Locking/grey out long text data (From Coding point of view ) that there is a way to block the long text description via configuration.
Well. Could you tell me how to do this, please???
    Thanks a lot!

I set a breakpoint there and the program never stop there.
I'll try to describe my problem.
I go to IW32 transaction, at the components tab I click on the Long Text button of each component of the order and I can modify it. Well, the client doesn't want that. For a type of order, the user cannot modify that text.
The more strange thing is that I tried to get the text with READ_TEXT function with the same parameters as the standard and it tells me that the text doesn't exists.
I'm starting to hate this module....

  • Unicode Issue - Corrupted long texts in Plant Maintenance Work Orders

we're having an issue regarding corrupted texts in a Unicode system. here's the scenario:
    - long text came from 4.5b wherein, of course, the japanese characters are viewable either in EN or JA logon
    - now, this long text when viewed in our acceptance/testing system which is already, take note, already in unicode long text is garbled. both in EN and JA logon long texts are garbled. we are expecting that since the system is already in unicode it can now support code page for japanese.
(here's the tricky part -- the one seen in the field is properly displayed but when trying to view the complete long text, those that are not in the field are garbled.)
    - we also have some scenarios that came from 4.5b, when viewed in the testing system while not unicoded - it's garbled in EN. this is normal since it's still non-unicoded. and of course when viewed using JA logon it's not corrupted anymore. we're expecting that this will also be the same with the issue above. but it's not.
please see link for screenshots. [http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/9760/unicodeissuee.jpg|http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/9760/unicodeissuee.jpg]

    i know it's weird.
but then i talked to a friend, she's an abaper. she said that those that can be converted or properly viewed are texts elements in database tables and those that are like free texts or comments can not. and there's no possible way for this but to manually retype everything.
    makes sense right.

My requirement is from which table i can get these stored long text???
    Any suggestions please.
    Thanks

    Appreciate your answers.
I have checked the both the fields stxh as well as stxl but i am not able to find any text fields out there.
My actual requirement is some third party software needs to b mapped the table fields in order to import it.

  • How to get Long text in report from FBL3N

    Hi,
I need to get Long Text from FBL3N (G/L Account Line Item Display) in my report. Can anyone tell me in which table it is stored?

    Hi
These long texts are not stored completely in any tables
where as the parameters of these texts like OBJECT,OBJECTNAME and ID, LANGUAGE are stored in STXH table
You have to pass these 4 parameters to the fun module READ_TEXT and to fetch the text.
Double click on the long text will goes to text editor
from menu GOTO-> HEADER  you will see the above 4 paramters
see the doc of READ_TEXT fun module
    READ_TEXT
READ_TEXT provides a text for the application program in the specified work areas.
The function module reads the desired text from the text file, the text memory, or the archive. You must fully specify the text using OBJECT, NAME, ID, and LANGUAGE. An internal work area can hold only one text; therefore, generic specifications are not allowed with these options.
After successful reading, the system places header information and text lines into the work areas specified with HEADER and LINES.
If a reference text is used, SAPscript automatically processes the reference chain and provides the text lines found in the text at the end of the chain. If an error occurs, the system leaves the function module and triggers the exception REFERENCE_CHECK.
    Function call:
    CALL FUNCTION 'READ_TEXT'
    EXPORTING CLIENT = SY-MANDT
    OBJECT = ?...
    NAME = ?...
    ID = ?...
    LANGUAGE = ?...
    ARCHIVE_HANDLE = 0

    EXCEPTIONS ID =
    LANGUAGE =
    NAME =
    NOT_FOUND =
    OBJECT =
    REFERENCE_CHECK =
    WRONG_ACCESS_TO_ARCHIVE =
    Export parameters:
    CLIENT
Specify the client under which the text is stored. If you omit this parameter, the system uses the current client as default.
    Reference field: SY-MANDT
    Default value: SY-MANDT
    OBJECT
Enter the name of the text object to which the text is allocated. Table TTXOB contains the valid objects.

Ever since I enabled iMessage on my Mac Airbook, I can no longer receive text messages from the iMessage people on my iPhone, only on my iMessage now!!  How do I get the messages to reach both iMessage and iPhone??

We are suffering very similar issues when communicating from my iphone to a friend who has both iphone and iPad enabled.
As long as I reply to an existing text chain, then it is visible on the target iphone.  If I SMS the phone number, it gets routed to the IPAD!!   And NO, I should not have to disable imessage when I want to send an SMS!!

Well, that didn't work since I am already using my appleID for both FaceTime and iMessage but i did see the option to send as SMS when iMessage not available.  so I am now able to send to him  but I don't know if he can send to me.  It's a start.  It is only with his phone.  His wife has a Galaxy and they are both on AT&T and she can send and receive.  I am on sprint.  If that info helps
