Looking at Threads in jconsole and should I worry?

When watching a threaded app in jconsole in the Threads Tab, I see a lot of threads, but I assume for several reasons that the ones name btpool#-# where # is a number are the ones in which my code is executing.
Now when I select a thread like "main, Reference Handler, etc" some of these have stack traces some of them do not list any of my classes, but some of them do, even the btpool threads have stack traces.
My question is what is the significance of these stack traces? They seem to be there even when the app is running fine no tasks skippped or crashed.
Second question why are the first lines left out, the one that say what kind of an Exception was thrown? Seems like that would be helpful info.
In the thread list is a thread called Thread-2 which always has a line -locked java.net.SocksSocketImpl@......., is this something I could fix?
RMIScheduler(0) always has sun.misc.Unsafe.park(Native Method), anything helpful there?
Am I correct in assuming that the "Detect Deadlock" button only applies to the currently selected thread?

If you want to know more information, I suggest using a debugger. This will give you answers to most of these questions.

The Color Sync Utility is part of OSX and usually resides in the Application/Utilities folder.
Don't know how it appeared on your desktop.
But it is no malware, spyware or the like but as said part of OSX.

Why do disk permissions change and should I worry?

I noticed that my JavaAppletPlugin disk permission says that it should be something that it is not. I can temporarily fix it by doing a repair disk permissions but sometime later the JavaAppletPlugin disk permissions change back to the settings prior to the repair.
Why do these particular disk permissions change and should I worry about them?

Thank you for your answer and I appreciate it. However, I do have to admit that I am still bothered because, although it may be nothing to worry about, it still pops up as something my Mac thinks is in need of repair and I don't know why the permissions changed if they were supposed to be something specific before. Call me crazy but it seems like it should not pop up if everything were ok.

I've been seeing messages exactly like that (and many, many other kinds) in the Console since the first version of OS X. They look menacing but are harmless.
You don't need any kind of security software.
Just surf the web carefully, pay attention to where you're going and don't install anything that you don't recognize. If you are asked to enter an admin user name and password, DON'T. Unless you know for sure that you initiated the installation from a known and reliable source (like Apple).
Mac malware relies on social engineering. No amount of security/anti-virus, blah, blah, blah software is going to help.

Definitlely have it looked at. That could be a hardware deffect on the maker(apple) so there could be a definite replacement option.

When I open Itunes, i get a dialog box saying 'icloud session is closing'. I have never used iCloud and my library is missing (or i am looking at the iCloud library which should be empty).

How do I know I am on the iCloud, I never signed up for it, and should not be in/on it. How do I get out of the iCloud if I am indeed in/on it.

Just several ideas to be checked:
1. Please, verify the prerequisites of Operations Console listed by the following link:

2. Install all the SCOM related system updates.
3. Clear SCOM Console cache:

4. Try to clean up Ops Manager cache on SCOM Management server. To do this stop Microsoft Monitoring Agent service, navigate to SCOM installation path (by default, C:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center 2012 R2\Operations Manager\Server) and
delete Health Service State folder. Start Microsoft Monitoring Agent service afterwards.
5. If nothing helps, maybe try to reinstall SCOM Console.

If you want to record good video, get a camera.
iPads can record video but they lack almost all other useful features of a dedicated camera - eg a decent lens, the ability to zoom, reasonable audio, removable media, small form factor .... and on and on.

I have just installed the Safari 3 Beta and when I open the browser it say:
"Safari is missing important resources and should be reinstalled."
And its on all sites I try to visit.
I have tried to (un)install it 3 times and same problem.
And the scary: Its only on one user. (There not are administrator)
I have the (nearly) same problem when I'd installed FireFox 2.
I solved the problem by create a new user, but I really won't do that again. (Have a lot of stuff to move)

Good question - and one that a lot of (business) people would like solved!
Your question prompted me to do some research, and I found this workaround posted by Scott Grossberg:
His solution actually addresses a second problem too - how to attach a document when replying to an email message. In your case you may not need to consider the "reply" aspect - but if not right now, it'll come in useful someday!
I've pasted it verbatim - if it works for you (it does for me) then all credit goes to Scott for solving the problem. There's just one thing I'd add to his solution: you will probably want to rename the message, as by default Goodreader gives it the Subject line: Mail with GoodReader attachments.
THE GOODREADER OPTION
1. CREATE the document you want to send.
2. SAVE it to GoodReader (this will require you to buy and install the app).
3. Go to your email and OPEN the email thread to which you want to Reply and attach your file.
4. COMPOSE your Reply.
5. DOUBLE TAP the message.
6. TAP SELECT ALL. This will copy the entire email thread.
7. OPEN GOODREADER on the iPad and go to the file you want to send as part of your Reply.
8. At the bottom of the GoodReader screen you will see an EXPORT icon (it looks like a rectangle with an arrow pointing to the right).
9. TAP the Export button.
10. TAP EMAIL FILE. Depending on your needs, tap either SEND FILE “AS IS” or “FLATTEN ANNOTATIONS.” This will open a compose message screen with the chosen document already attached.
11. TAP in the body of the email screen. TAP PASTE. This will place your composed Reply and the prior email thread into the message.
12. ENTER the Recipients’ names in the TO: field of your message.
13. SEND your email Reply.
The modified version (= when composing a new message rather than a reply):
1 Make sure that the doc you want to attach is saved in GoodReader
2 In the message you are composing, double tap, select all, and then copy.
3 Open GoodReader and select the file you want to attach
4 Select the export button at the bottom of screen
5 Select e-mail file
6 Position cursor in body of the email message, tap and paste. You may want to delete the "sent from GoodReader" text that precedes the attachment.
7 Rename your message (as by default it will be Mail with GoodReader attachments)
8 Add the recipient's address in the To field.

Threads, Process, exec( ), and destroy( )

I have the following code:

}One thread will be creating a Process and then waiting for it to finish. Another thread may
determine that the process needs to be destroyed. I cannot put the call to waitFor( ) in the
syncrhonized block bacause that would block any other operation on the Process.
Is it ok that two threads will be using the same reference at the same time?
Do you think there is any other problem with this code?

Doesnt look that good, however an important thing you
forgot so far if multiple threads are using the inner
var myProcess - you not only have to synchronize your
thread itself (methods) but also the object myProcess
too...Not really. Whoever wants to access the myProcess variable will have to go through killProcess which
is synchronized. So there is no way two threads can access this variable at the same time.
Well.. no way other than what my original question is: one thread calling waitFor( ) and another tread calling destroy( ).
But since waitFor( ) blocks, I cannot synchronize it. Btw, I have actually tried this code and it does exactly what I want, but I am just not sure if it's likely to see any unpleasant surprises at some point.

I am interpreting that to say that the detail panel is missing your develop module. If that is the case, right-click on one of the other panel headings and make sure there is a checkmark for detail.

Im using Muse whichj crashes like you would not beleive, but after much perseverance I got a basic 4 page holding site together, I tested the site and it all looked fine, when I uploaded it to the server it looks nothing like the site I tested, to the point that even the background has changed colour and nothing is in the rite place.

I can connect to JConsole and display "Number of Threads" graph fine. But I don't see anything under "Live Threads". I tried with both JDK 1.5.0_06 and JDK 1.5.0_05. I would appreciate if you have input.

It is a problem in Oracle Application Server that overrides the Thread.getId() method and their implementation doesn't conform to the Thread.getId() specification.
I know that Oracle has an internal bug filed against this problem. When this bug is fixed, you will be able to see the thread list. You may want to contact Oracle for the bug status.
