Looking for a non XML driven Flash banner rotator

I am looking for a non XML driven Flash banner rotator, something where I can load my images into the FLA and publish. The only rotators I can seem to find have external XML/image files, etc.
All I want to do is create simple SWF's that I can use to display rotating images preferably is a smooth and stylish manner. Does anyone know of any, or could point me in the right direction?

Because I would use the html5 audio, that way the browser chooses the 'player' to use, and I wanted to give the OP the choice -

Help with embedding XML / Flash Banner Rotator?!?

Hey guys, please help me; I'm having some trouble embedding this flash/xml banner rotator into this page, I can see that the file has been uploaded, however when I try to place it into the page, it just doesn't work. I even get error reports from IE, the code was all place by dreamweaver.
The first set of code below is the entire page, the second set is the part that isn't working for me (the part I'm too dumb to fix).

All I am seeing is your actual page layout, no code.
But as you say it is an xml file (swf), it is more than likely that you have placed the swf and xml files in incompatible places. So without seeing your code, all I can suggest is to check the file placement of all items.

XML Driven Flash Photo Gallery Thumbnails

Hi,
I need to make a XML Driven Photo slide in Flash CS5.
It needs to have a Box that contains 5 Thumbnails(by XML) act as buttons.
The Box sits on top of the Main photo area and shrinks (or close out) when user click its close button. And it opens out by clicking on a open button.
I'm sure it can be done by using timeline, Tweening or you name it..But what about the Thumbnails that run from the XML file?
Can they disappear with the Box and retrieve when it opens? is it possible?
If yes, what would be the best way to do that?
Any comment would be greatly appreciated!

I am designer. I know XHTML and CSS3, but am really having lots of trouble learing Action Script and XML.
I need to create a photo gallery for a client and am looking for resources.

I am looking for either a 64 GB of 128 GBs Flash drive OR a very small portable USB 2.0 ( if available would prefer FW800 connection) hard drive that I can conveniently carry on my with complete system and data on it. I would like the portable hard drive to be less than $200, if possible.
All ideas for this ard welcome.
I am just looking for a solution that is fairly easy to carry in a pants pocket that I can use to boot up on Macs of my various friends.

I have all latest jars (jaxp, xerces, xalan, jdom, dom4j and any related jars). I have w3c DOM and i have been trying to convert it to JDOM and dom4j using relevant APIs. i keep getting following error.

Looking for tutorials or guides on flash-web design

Hi,
I am a (software not web) programmer, not too experienced with flash.
However I am planning to do some web design with a friend who is a flash artist. I have worked with him before and found that he embedded way too much in flash, and it made it difficult for me to display a lot of the dynamic elements. This was probably 90% my own inexperience.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend any books that cover issues to do with designing websites using flash as the graphical elements, but html etc. for the bulk of the elements i am going to be loading from a database etc. (Or if its possible to do everything through flash, perhaps just some guides on that ).

When you create a Flash swf file by publishing the source fla, you have the option to have it also publishan html file. The embedding code in that html file can be copied and pasted into any web page, so that you can paste Flash content in just like you would an image or a section of text. The embedding code just tends to take up alot of room. But still, you can embed as many swf files as you like in the same html page.
I am uncertain what you mean by loading content from a database. Normally, text content might be loaded from a DB, though XML is often better because it relaxes the need to for the maintenance crew to have to learn how to edit a database, or to create some interface that makes the easy for them. Images or Flash content would normally be placed on the server in some folder rather than be stored in DB (which I have been told is possible).
I don't personally know of any tutorials that deal with specific approaches to designing a web site involving Flash, though anytime I need to find something I find Google to be a very helpful resource. I just don't know what you're really after that I could suggest some good search terms.

Looking for a non-Flash mp3 player

Can anyone recommend a non-flash mp3 player? I've looked around on the web quite a bit but it seems the ones I'm finding all use flash. I need one that will work on the iPad and iPhone for my websites.

Because I would use the html5 audio, that way the browser chooses the 'player' to use, and I wanted to give the OP the choice -

Looking for a sample of the Flash Export from Encore CS3

I am close to upgrading to the CS3 Production Premium and one of the features that intrigues me is the Flash export from Encore CS3. I have searched the Adobe site without success for a sample of what an exported project looks like and functions on the web. Can anyone point me to a on-line sample of an exported project? Thanks in advance :)

'Black Gaps' in Flash usually come from the Flash trying to locate & load the next Flash file. Without a Pre-Loader, you will probably always have this... especially if your quality is set too high. This equates to longer load/buffer times which means there is nothing to display until there is enough video loaded in the buffer to play.
If your ultimate goal is to create Video for the Web... you'll need to learn proper techniques for producing video for the web. It is much different than producing video for TV or DVD. On the web you have to compress your video a lot more therefore you should not use a lot of Motion/Movement in your Characters, Camera, Media, Motion Backgrounds, etc. The less Motion/Movement you have means you can lower your quality settings but still get awesome looking video & good load times eliminating the Black Gaps and making an all around smoother internet presentation/experience.

Looking for safe way free up flash storage on MBP 15 inch retina display?

My MacBook Pro 15 inch with retina display is mid 2012.
2.6 GH Intel core i7.
Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Running OS X 10.9.
500 GB Flash Storage
Use iCloud.
Problem:
9.3 GB free out of 499 GB.
Does anyone know of a safe, somewhat uncomplicated way to free some of this flash storage?

Freeing Up Space on The Hard Drive
1. See Lion/Mountain Lion's Storage Display.
2. You can remove data from your Home folder except for the /Home/Library/ folder.
3. Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on freeing up space on your hard drive.
4. Also see Freeing space on your Mac OS X startup disk.
5. See Where did my Disk Space go?.
6. See The Storage Display.
You must Empty the Trash in order to recover the space they occupied on the hard drive.
You should consider replacing the drive with a larger one. Check out OWC for drives, tutorials, and toolkits.
Try using OmniDiskSweeper 1.8 or GrandPerspective to search your drive for large files and where they are located.

Looking for a non-pdf manual for S3

Does anybody know where I might be able to find a non-pdf manual for the S3 on-line? I want to print it out the manual, but the pdf is a nightmare to print and it doesnt come out the right size - without murdering a forest (204 PAGES). Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You can request a printed copy by mailed to you from Samsung. Check the little "Get Started" booklet that came with the phone. It will have the phone information for you to call and request one.

Looking for list of ie7 and flash bugs

I'd like to stay clear of any ie7 and flash bugs that are out there, does anyone know of a list of any known bugs with flash player and ie7?
I'm currently experiencing an issue where flash 10 and my app do not work in IE7 but they work fine in all other browsers.

Hi, Check in Tools, manage add ons(all categories) for Shockwave Flash Object and make sure it is Enabled and is the same version of Flash Player you have Installed.
Test with each browser here and if Flash Player is Installed correctly you should see the animation and the version of Flash Player will be displayed also. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
If you need further help, post back your operating system, other browsers used and versions.
