But my company software has hundreds of dialogs\forms, it will save us time.Just my opinion, but no it won't. We don't have "hundreds" of dialogs/forms on our project, but we have several dozen - many of which have very complex layouts. When you understand the code and can do it by hand, you'll find that it's far quicker to edit manually vs. a gui editor. This is just my opinion based on my own experience, but I do it everyday for a living.
Now i am writing in MVC way that the dialog and the controller are in different classes and i didn't find good tool that generate code like this.We also have the "logic" split out of the gui code. I don't know of any code-generator that does this for you. All the more reason to know how to do it by hand.
think about it like you need to write now code for hundreds windows in short time...I already do.
I suspect that a majority of the regulars in this forum who code Swing for a living don't use a gui editor. Just a guess, though.
Good luck.

    Hi Uday,
If you go to service.sap.com/crm and then go through the documents available for CRM 4.0 or 5.0 you should be able to find the extension and development guide and also the ISA build tool documentation.

  • Looking for EDW modelling tool recommendations for BW

    Good morning,
Our BW Enterprise Data Warehouse has been slowly adding infocubes/ODS's over the years, and to date we have been relying on the modeling views available in the BW system to keep track of what goes where. I think we've outgrown that.
I was wondering if there is a modeling tool of choice out there that people prefer to use when modeling the various infoproviders, and multicubes that they roll up to. In the relational world we always use ERWin, however it doesn't seem to fit an OLAP EDW environment very well. I'm not looking for an extremely detailed tool, but something that will let us look at the big picture, essentially at the Infoprovider level.
Any suggestions are welcome, and points will be given.
    Michael

    Hi,
I've found the Visio tool quite helpful for EDW modelling for SAP BI systems. Might want to take a look at that.
    Cheers,

  • Looking for help building app! Great idea!

Hey, I have a great idea for a really fun game that could draw attention to alot of iOS users and soon become very popular. I have done some browsing in the App Store and the idea i have is not yet there.
The reason I am reaching out to the forums is because I need help:
I have no coding experience but i have all the necessary tools. I am signed up as a developer. I pay 99.99$ a year.
I would love to get this idea rolling and would love to begin to develop a team!
    Would anyone like to help?
    NEED:
    -:Coder
    -:Artist
For more information please email me at [email protected]
    Thanks!
Hoping for some positive feed back!
    -Scott

I hope you get some positive feedback but there's a couple of things you should know:
    1.  Everyone who is a serious developer and already knows how to deveop apps is too busy working on their own great ideas.
    2.  You're about to start getting lots of spam because you posted your email address in a publicly accessable forum.

I second that...I just finished implementing a service using
    AMFPHP
1.9 beta 2 and couldn't be happier. I then upgraded it to use
    the
    AMF C extension which
speeds up encoding and decoding. I haven't looked back

  • Looking For Actual 'Sync' Tool For Multiple Computers

When I saw that syncing music via the iPod between computers was a new feature, I was Very Excited. I have music on my home machine and on my work machine. Each machine has about 3000 songs, with roughly 70% overlap on content, and only about 10% purchased through the iTunes Music Store. My iPod only gets synced to my home machine because of this.
I was hoping that this new feature would, in fact, synchronize the libraries of both machines into one cohesive library.
Sadly, this is not the case.
Any suggestions for combining both libraries into one *that don't require several hours of manual transfer* are welcome. Barring that, I guess I'll have to do the syncing myself.
    Thanks!

I know I can “roll my own” and design it from the ground up

I am not familiar with any product that has functionality to track 'source' metadata at the column level. But I have helped architect and implement several data warehousing ETL systems that had to track the source of data for Sarbanes-Oxley, financial and auditing purposes.
All of these tracking mechnisms involved ETL of record-level data from a source system to staging tables to hold the data. The staging tables had columns to indicate the data source, whether it had been cleansed or not and what you refer to as 'confidence level'. This tracking and audit information was not carried forward into the production tables but was maintained securely for auditing purposes to prove what data and values had been originally transferred from source to target.
Once data is in the production system the original source of the data was no longer tracked since that data could be modified by app users or batch processes.
Your design will need to reflect whether you need to track the changes only within your ETL processes or even after it gets to production. If you are talking about column-by-column audit history then you will may want to look into Oracle's fine-grained access control.

  • Looking for the InDesign tools in Bridge from Previous versions of CS (3?)

Previous Versions of CS (3 I Believe) had a tool in Bridge where you could create a InDesign Page or Book from The Tools menu.
This was similar to the Contact sheet option for Photoshop but created a book instead of individual pages.
Whould  anyone know how to do this with CS6 or are there any 3rd party options to do this?
    Thanks!

  • Looking for a tuning tool

    Hi all,
Do you know a good tuning tool for WLS ?
    ie something able to:
    - take a snapshot of a running wls with infos like cache sizes, timeout, ...
(any property we can get with the MBean interface)
    - process optimization rules to detect problems and produce advices
    Thank you
    Laurent

Hmmm i should add to this .. Visual Cafe EE is about 4k dollars where Forte CE is free. I dont know if you want to spend money or not for your development IDE.
    If money is a concern for you then i would recommend the following;
    *** Free ***
    Forte CE
    IBM Visual Age (university Edition)
If you can spare no expense then i would go with Visual Cafe. I have a friend in another company that uses IBM's Visual age and is happy with that environment.

  • Looking for Procedure Builder

My understanding is that Procedure Builder is supposed to be part of the Oracle Forms software. I have installed the 9i Developer Suite, but cannot locate Procedure Builder. Where should I be looking? Any help is appreciated.

procedure builder is not part of Oracle9i Developer Suite anymore. See the Oracle9i Forms obsollecence paper on otn.
You can still use Oracle Forms to build stored procedures and debug them with the new debugger.

  • Looking for Wireless sniffer tool recommendation

    Hi there,
We are running WLC 5508 (ver 7.5.102) with about 100 AP.  AP ranges from Cisco 1130 series to the recent 3600 series.
Recently, the WLC has been giving messages about rogue device spoofing (see example).
I figure I need to bring a tool to the AP area, and sniffer the air to find out what 's going on and where is the offender.
Would you please suggest any tool that I can download or purchase?
I am thinking perhaps a simple and easy to use small handheld wireless device would be nice to locate the trouble maker.
    Thanks in advance.
    Syslog message example:
    Jan 16 11:47:00 my-wlc: *spamApTask3: Jan 16 11:47:00.297:  #LWAPP-1-AP_CONTAINED: spam_lrad.c:37013 AP my-wireless-ap-123 is being  contained on slot 1
    Prime Infrasturcutre 2.0 message:
AP 'my-wireless-ap-123' is being contained. This is due to rogue device spoofing or targeting AP 'my-wireless-ap-123' BSSID on '802.11a' radio. - Controller Name: my-wlc
    p.s.
I am not a linux laptop user.  So, if you have suggestion about wireless tool, it would be useful if the tool can run on Windows 7 OS.

Here are some support guides to on wireless sniffer:

  • Looking for GUI for Pacman

    Hello,
I'm going to install Arch Linux next week. I am Ubuntu user right now, and have gotten used to the Synaptic Package Manager. Right now, I am fiddling with Arch Linux in a virtual machine. I have found that a program called Shaman exists, but the problem is that it QT based and I am using GNOME. I don't really like the look and feel of KDE application. So can anyone recommend a good front end that works similar to Synaptic and that uses GTK instead of QT. I need to be pretty recent and work well with pacman without any problems.
    Thanks

cdahmedeh wrote:I don't really like the look and feel of KDE application.
If you use qt4.5 and select "GTK+" theme in qtconfig you won't see a (big) difference now. Even the file dialog looks like gtk.

  • Looking for a Reboot Tool that initiate a reboot after a kernel Panics?

    Hello
Is their a program around that can be installed on OS X that initiate a reboot after a kernel panics occured? Or is it possible change the parameter of the firmware to reboot after a kernel panics. Some Tools like TinkerTool are able to change to sleep mode of the mac, maybe another tool is able to change the reboot mode
    Regard
    Gérard

Use a dongle such as this one. Implementation of it in software alone requires Mac OS X Server.

  • Looking for simpler ide tools

i am currently using the netbeans and find it too complicated for me and it takes a lot of resources.
Could somebody please suggest me what ide i should use?
I need the function of displaying a drop-down list of all the methods available for the object that I am referring to.....
    for example.....
    String s="abcde";
System.out.println(s. <<the moment that i type the dot, i want the ide to display a list of all methods available for the String s.....
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks~~~~~~!

Eclipse is a full blown IDE..it supports many features (mos of which you probably don't use), and other stuff you probably didn't noticed...like writing a Class..and not needing to compile it (cause it does this while you're writing the code..and checking for error as well.)
JCreator is small..because it's a lightweight editor..it supports very few basic features (which most developers uses). noticed that they don't have a debugger (at run time)..auto-complete, code generation (well..some of these features are in their PRO version)
Also, Eclipse was designed to supports pluggin, different programing languages
