  • I can't lookup EJB (3.0) in WebLogic 12 using ENC

    I have a simple application divided in 2 modules:
    HolaMundo - Servlet component
    SimpleEJB - EJB Component
    The EJB Component use EJB 3.0. I created a local business interface with one method. A stateless EJB that implement that interface. And I use the ejb-jar.xml for declare it.
    And a Servlet that use the EJB.
    In Glassfish or Tomee this way for working with EJB works, but i don't understand why it doesn't work in WebLogic 12...
    When i try to access to the servlet, i get an error. this is the error:

  • How to use a session bean in another session bean (or an EJB in a session)

    JDev 11.1.1.4, WLS 10.3.4, Windows 7 x64
    I have a login controller with a session-scoped bean that manages logins.
    I have another session-scoped bean that manages menu security.
    both modules compile and work fine now I need to share the data from one to another.
    I need to reference the login controller in the menu security bean. How do I reference (include) the login bean in the security bean?
    I tried an EJB - what a farce - these are supposed to be universal and easy ( basis of the oop in Java).
    the bean is defined:
    @Stateless(name = "SecurityEJB", mappedName = "ZITASApplication-ZITASModel-SecurityEJB")
    I have tried :
    ic = new InitialContext();
    session = (SecurityEJBLocal)ic.lookup("ZITASApplication-ZITASModel-SecurityEJB#model.security.logic.SecurityEJB");
    session = (SecurityEJBLocal)ic.lookup("ZITASApplication-ZITASModel-SecurityEJB#model.security.logic.SecurityEJBLocal");
    session = (SecurityEJBLocal)ic.lookup("java:ejb/model.security.logic.SecurityEJB");
    session = (SecurityEJBLocal)ic.lookup("java:ejb/SecurityEJB");
    session = (SecurityEJBLocal)ic.lookup("java:app/SecurityEJB");
    session = (SecurityEJBLocal)ic.lookup("java:module/SecurityEJB");
    All return null pointers and claim the name cannot be resolved.
    As you can see - I have found various claims to how to do this.
    One way says create a sevlet, generate a listener and use the sevlet. Basically one for every EJB - a lot of work to use the EJBs
    I would assume that this would be one of the easiest parts of java - as it is the foundation of re-usability and oop.
    I can do either in the application - the added complexity of the EJB is less desirable - but better programming?

    Hi,
    ic.lookup("ZITASApplication-ZITASModel-SecurityEJB#model.security.logic.SecurityEJB");This should work with remote interface. If you want to lookup local interface, you need to register it in web.xml. Quote:
    To access the business local interface you need to define ejb local references for your component environment (i.e. from your servlet environment). You can do this by defining references in your web.xml. For example:
    <ejb-local-ref>
    <ejb-ref-name>ejb/BusinessLogicBean</ejb-ref-name>
    <local>packagename.BusinessLogicBean</local>
    </ejb-local-ref>
    To lookup your local reference from your servlet you need to use the following JNDI reference:
    java:comp/env/ejb/BusinessLogicBean Another one
    First, declare a local ejb reference in your web.xml file (This will add it to JNDI):
    <ejb-local-ref>
    <ejb-ref-name>ejb/Foo</ejb-ref-name>
    <local>simple.ejb.FooLocal</local>
    </ejb-local-ref>
    Then it can be looked up from JNDI:
    InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext();
    FooLocal foo = ctx.lookup("java:comp/env/ejb/Foo");Hope this helps.

  • Error Deploying Mapping in Production Environment

    All,
    I have 3 locations: APPS (source,) STAGING (target,) and SALES_DM (target.)
    I am trying to deploy a mapping, via deployment manager, to my PRODUCTION runtime environment. The mapping is part of the STAGING schema, has two source tables from the STAGING schema, and after a simple join performs a lookup to APPS, STAGING, and SALES_DM tables, and eventually loads to another table in the STAGING schema after various transformations (it is a complicated mapping that deals with invoices and orders for a Sales DataMart.)
    I have deployed and executed this exact mapping in several test instances. I have also deployed and executed many other mappings in the STAGING schema in PRODUCTION. However, I am encountering an error when I try to deploy this specific mapping: “PL/SQL: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist.”
    This error occurs 4 times (there are 4 warnings with different line numbers.) When I go to the lines in the code (using the line number + line number where the ‘/’ in the main is found trick) the same STAGING table is in every line. Since this mapping executes as STAGING, it is a little weird that the error message is indicating a permission issue with one of its own tables. Is it possible that this specific table is not the real issue?
    Here is the main difference I can see between my PROD and TEST environments. In TEST, the APPS location is registered to APPS, where as in PROD it is registered to STAGING. However, in both instances I am positive that the appropriate grants on source APPS tables have been given to STAGING, and in PROD I have created synonyms for the source APPS tables in STAGING (i.e. for the Applications order headers table I have created the synonym oe_order_headers_all.)
    I have had to do a lot of troubleshooting with apparent permission issues before, but am completely baffled on this one.
    Any thoughts or ideas are much appreciated.
    Regards,
    Ryan

    Hello,
    Since you have one PRODUCTION runtime, the targets STAGING and SALES_DM runs in the same instance. If you register both locations properly in Deployment Manager, OWB will figure out that you deploy to the same instance and will use schema.table naming in your mapping PL/SQL package for efficiency, not any DB link.
    Because of this you/SALES_DM must (manually) GRANT SELECT on SALES_DM.lookup_table TO STAGING in the PRODUCTION instance (you must grant directly to the STAGING user, not to any role held by the user).
    I presume you have checked that your lookup tables have been deployed, as reminded by another forum participant earlier...

  • What is the best Practice JCO Connection Settings for DC  Project

    When multiple users are using the system data is missing from Web Dynpro Screens.  This seems to be due to running out of connections to pull data.
    I have a WebDynpro Project based on component development using DC's.  I have one main DC which uses other DC's as Lookup Windows.  All DC's have their Own Apps.  Also inside the main DC screen, the data is populated from multiple function modules.
    There are about 7 lookup DC Apps accessed by the user
    I have created JCO destinations with following settigns
    Max Pool Size 20
    Max Number of Connections 200
    Before I moved to DC project it was regular Web Dynpro Project with one Application and all lookup windows were inside the same Project.  I never had the issue with the same settings.
    Now may be becuase of DC usage and increase in applications I am running out of connections.
    Has any one faced the problem.  Can anyone suggest the best practice of how to size JCO connections.
    It does not make any sense that just with 15-20 concurrent users I am seeing this issue.
    All lookup components are destroyed after its use and is created manually as needed.  What else can I do to manage connections
    Any advise is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Can't find a lookup defined via Oracle Apps in the FND_LOOKUP_TYPES table

    Hi,
    i defined a lookup via Oracle Apps, but when i query for it in the FND_LOOKUP_TYPES table, it does not show up. Does something more needs to be done for the lookup definition to appear in the table?
    Thanks,Smita

    In Oracle Apps 11.5.10, I created a Manufacturing Lookup, then queried for it as follows:
    select * from fnd_lookup_types where lookup_type = 'XXBREG_LABEL_PURPOSE'.
    It returns 0 rows. Why is the table not acknowledging the lookup I defined via Oracle Apps?

    Hi
    1.) check that this responsibility is assigned to the user,which u mentioned in the user name.
    2.) or go to run option of Jdeveloper and terminate the Embedded oc4j server and start running the page again and test .

  • Does Access 2013 Web App support multi-value lookup fields?

    I hope someone can please help me with this as I've not been able to find the answer by searching this site, nor elsewhere on the web. I have Access 2013 open connected to my web app on Sharepoint Skydrive with a table open in 'edit table' mode. When I add
    a new lookup field I don't see any option to make it a multi-value lookup field. Is there no support for that in web apps or am I doing something wrong?
    Cheers, Henk.
    Cheers, Henk.

    This is what I use in the Parent RowSource:
    This in the parent child relationship
    In the row source query from the child, I have a simular expression. By inverting the boolean 'childToggler' I can force the child-form to requery. Because the boolean is in the session table record (which is part of the child form recordsource query as
    well), the boolean will be inverted in both and won't disrupt the relationship.
    Besides the toggler this relationship only contains an ID with preceding zero's, but the expression can contain pretty much everything.

  • DAO pattern & Lookup datasource with NamingException in the same J2EE APP

    Hello Experts:
    I'm developing an J2EE application with EJB's for transactional operations (that works fine!) and I'm implementing the J2EE DAO Pattern using a DAO ConnectionFactory with OpenSQL/JDBC standard for Querying the DB, but here my problems begins:
    The DAOConnectionFactory Singleton Class is placed in a java package inside the same application that holds my Entitys & Sessions (remember this ejb's works fine!) and I'm trying to get the "localy-configured-in-the-j2ee-application" alias-datasource for my DAO Querys, but "lookup" doesn't find this resource!!!.
    I'm thinking, there's not remote access to this resouce because the DAO-CF is in the same context and JVM, but this appreciation is correct? or  what I miss?
    Another remark: I've been used the Telnet Administrator and the same lookup string is founded correctly!.
    Here is the Codec:
    public class ConexionFactory implements Serializable {
         private static ConexionFactory singleton = null;
         private DataSource ds;
         protected ConexionFactory() {
              String source = "jdbc/BURO_COMM";
              try {
                   Context ctx = new InitialContext();
                   ds = (DataSource) ctx.lookup(source);
                   if (null == ds) {
                        throw new RuntimeException("Couldn't get the datasource");
              } catch (NameNotFoundException e) {
                   throw new RuntimeException(e.getMessage());
              } catch (NamingException e) {
                   throw new RuntimeException(e.getMessage());
         public static ConexionFactory getInstance() {
              if (null == singleton) {
                   singleton = new ConexionFactory();
              return singleton;
    .... (some other methods)

    Hello all again:
    I've been making some tests (and investigation reading other posts) and I found that everything is related with the Resource Sharing Scope of my Session Object that commands the process. And it works fine.
    By now, for my conceptual test is Ok and finally i must work in this app arquitecure path:
    ->Web Service (with a POJO in a web module)
    >ProcessRender Class (a POJO with the main control logic)
    >BussinesDelegate's -->ServiceLocator
    >SessionFacades --->Entity's
    >DAO Connection Factory---->OpenSQL/JDBC Querys

  • Use block processor to perform lookups in alternate HFM app

    Hi All,
    I would like to use the block processor to perform attribute lookups (using functions such as GetCustomTopMember, etc) on an alternate application (ie: not the one that is connected to the FDM app in the adapter). We are pulling data out of one HFM application and pushing it into another HFM application. I need to look up attributes of the metadata in the SOURCE application. Any way to do it? Maybe set up the source app in a seperate adapter - but then how do I invoke it for the block processor?
    Any thoughts most appreciated!
    Thanks!

    Hi Chris,
    Thanks for posting and the detailed background on the project! To answer some of your questions:
    1. The FFT Express VI does use a significant amount of space. The FPGA on the myRIO is somewhat limited space-wise. Your best option may to implement the FFT for 1 channel on the FPGA and the other two on the RT side.
    2. I converted the FFT Express VI to a subVI and I am not sure if you can trim too much code from it. The subVI is also very complex so re-working it would be a significant amount of work. I could not find much documentation on M-interval input indexes / Continuous output indexes Input/Output Index Pattern mode timing.
    I hope that this helps!

    My team solved the problem and I thought that we would share.
    The version of Xalan that was packaged with the JRE, that is installed by the Sun One app server, was at least 2 versions out of date. Updating the Xalan package solves the issue and the WAR file now works.
    Again, this appears to be only on the Linux version as the package deploys and works perfectly on the Windows version.

    The resource lookup in the application code looks like this:
    InitialContext ic = new InitialContext();
    String dsName = "java:comp/env/jdbc/HelloDbDs";
    DataSource ds = (javax.sql.DataSource)ic.lookup(dsName);
    Connection connection = ds.getConnection();
    The resource being queried is listed in the res-ref-name element of the web.xml file as follows:
    <resource-ref>
    <description>DataSource Reference</description>
    <res-ref-name>jdbc/HelloDbDs</res-ref-name>
    <res-type>javax.sql.DataSource</res-type>
    <res-auth>Container</res-auth>
    </resource-ref>
    The resource-ref section in a Sun Java System specific deployment descriptor, for example sun-web.xml, maps the res-ref-name (the name being queried in the application code) to the JNDI name of the JDBC resource. The JNDI name is the same as the name of the JDBC resource as defined in the resource file when the resource is created.
    <resource-ref>
    <res-ref-name>jdbc/HelloDbDs</res-ref-name>
    <jndi-name>jdbc/HelloDbDataSource</jndi-name>

  • When accessing the any tasks from Fusion Applications homepage, "An error was received for the task Manage Worker Goal Setting Lookups. This task is identified with the code HRG_MANAGE_WORKER_GOAL_SETTING_LOOKUPS that invokes program /WEB-INF/oracle/apps/

    We have installed HCM and CRM modules on Fusion Application 11.1.7 version.
    This is 2 node architecture ie IDM components installed in one node and Fusion components installed in another node.
    We are able to start the IDM components and Fusion components successfully, but when users are trying to access any task from Fusion application home page, they are getting the below error
    A portlet consumer error was received for the task Manage Worker Goal Setting Lookups. Report the error details to the following owning product Goal Management.
    An error was received for the task Manage Worker Goal Setting Lookups. This task is identified with the code HRG_MANAGE_WORKER_GOAL_SETTING_LOOKUPS that invokes program /WEB-INF/oracle/apps/fnd/applcore/lookups/publicUi/flow/ManageCommonLookupsTF.xml#ManageCommonLookupsTF of module code fndSetup. Review the consumer and producer logs for more details on this error.

    This may be related to the other issue regarding "FUSION_APPS_WSM_APPID-KEY" as the logs contains exceptions like:
    oracle.wsm.policymanager.PolicyManagerException: WSM-02081 : Failed to login to perform requested action.
    Please refer to document Fusion Application Service Account Password Expiration Causes Portlet Producer Errors (1486388.1) for steps on how to verify and set the password. There is also exception:
    javax.security.auth.login.FailedLoginException: [Security:090302]Authentication Failed: User FUSION_APPS_PROV_PATCH_APPID denied
    This is also likely caused by an expired password, please see Fusion Apps Servers Are Not Starting Up - Password Policy Error :9000: GSL_PWDEXPIRED_EXCP :Your Password has expired (1629927.1).

  • 9i app 9.0.2.01?Does the reverse DNS lookup have to be set up for a FQDN

    HEy guys:
    I'M ALWAYS GETTING STUCK IN THE SAME PLACE WHEN I AM TRYING TO INSTALL 9I APPSERVER 9.0.2.0.1 REL 2. ITS ALWATYS HAPPENING AT THE oRACLE db CONFIG assistant i have set up my host file and when i ping -a servername i get the full reply back ex. servername.domain.com but now when i ping -a 111.111.111.111 i do not get the host name back this is b/c i do not have the PTR record set up. Do i have to have a reverse dnslookup working for what oracle is stating is "FQDN" and not just the dns lookup working...how is oracle installer looking at this piece.
    that is the only i see that i don't have when i look at my computer name (by the way this is a winnt environment)in properties it has the FQDN. i also have set up the host file correctly resembling 111.111.111.111 servername.domainname.com servername oracleinstall. What else am i missing here guys? thanks for the help in advance
    regards,
    robert

    Actually, these issues were/are documented - see the addendum. Also, the install guide details which files need to be updated with the FQDN/IP.
    Though it does not have to be setup in your DNS server (say if you are just doing it on a single tier to test), those machines which are looking to connect to it would need to have the proper additions to the hosts file as well.
    As for why the 'non-default' http ports, this was a result of Unix security. Non-root users cannot start processes using ports below a specific range. As a result, oracle defaults them to a higher number allowing your oracle account whom lacks root access to start the http service.
    As for non-oracle responses, this isn't really an official forumn. I believe those oracle peeps who do respond here are doing so on their own. If you need official/immediate responses, then i would recommend using metalink for an itar or the metalink forums.
    Now on to Robert's second question. See metalink Note:209114.1: How to Change the Port used for Oracle 9iAS Portal 9.0.x. If you don't have access to metalink, let me know and I can forward the note or post it here.
    Have fun!
