Use block processor to perform lookups in alternate HFM app

Hi All,
I would like to use the block processor to perform attribute lookups (using functions such as GetCustomTopMember, etc) on an alternate application (ie: not the one that is connected to the FDM app in the adapter). We are pulling data out of one HFM application and pushing it into another HFM application. I need to look up attributes of the metadata in the SOURCE application. Any way to do it? Maybe set up the source app in a seperate adapter - but then how do I invoke it for the block processor?
Any thoughts most appreciated!
Thanks!

Hi Chris,
Thanks for posting and the detailed background on the project! To answer some of your questions:
1. The FFT Express VI does use a significant amount of space. The FPGA on the myRIO is somewhat limited space-wise. Your best option may to implement the FFT for 1 channel on the FPGA and the other two on the RT side.
2. I converted the FFT Express VI to a subVI and I am not sure if you can trim too much code from it. The subVI is also very complex so re-working it would be a significant amount of work. I could not find much documentation on M-interval input indexes / Continuous output indexes Input/Output Index Pattern mode timing.
I hope that this helps!
Thanks,

  • Problems while performing lookup for Local EJBs

    Can anybody tell me how can i perform local ejb lookup in Sun app Server 8.0/8.1 ?
    I have following entries in ejb-jar.xml.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE ejb-jar PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Enterprise JavaBeans 2.0//EN" "http://java.sun.com/dtd/ejb-jar_2_0.dtd">

    </ejb>
    </enterprise-beans>
    </sun-ejb-jar>
    In the client EJBs code I have used following ways of performing lookup...
    ctx.lookup("java:comp/env//TeamLeaderBeanLocal");
    ctx.lookup("java:comp/env/ejb/local/TeamLeaderBeanLocal");
    ctx.lookup("ejb/TeamLeaderBeanLocal");
    Unfortunately none of these performs a successful lookup...???
    Can anybody solve my problem?

    In order to look up a local EJB from an EJB client you have to add an <ejb-local-ref> element for client EJB. So:
    <session>
    <ejb-name>MyClientEJB</ejb-name>
    <ejb-local-ref>
    <ejb-ref-name>ejb/TeamLeaderBeanLocal</ejb-ref-name>
    <ejb-ref-type>Session</ejb-ref-type>
    <ejb-link>TeamLeaderBeanLocal</ejb-link>
    </ejb-local-ref>
    </session>

  • WILL using JDBC API instead of LookUp APIs  hamper performance?????????????

    hi forum experts,
    i have done a JDBC call in a UDF in a message mapping to fetch some records from a database,
    i tried doing it with LookUp APIs,  but i think/found that LookUp APIs dont provide
    any method to execute DML statements, and moreover these APIs dont provide transactional behaviour....
    so i tried with JDBC APIs.......<<<<java.sql.*;>>>>.....where i used custom code to provide transactional behaviour........like explicitly using commit() methods. Where i m using Connection class...and in this case XI communication channels are not being used,,,....
    will using JDBC API instead of LookUp APIs hamper performance????????????

    Hi Sudeep,
    This will surely help u,

    According to help.sap
    Use of Lookup API - Calls to other application systems are sometimes necessary to meet the following requirements:
    &#9679;     To get <b>read </b>access to application system data in the mapping program
    &#9679;     To call existing mapping routines in the application system
    So DML statements couldnt be used

  • How can I access the Edit preferences performance use Graphics Processor option through the jsx scri

    I want to runa a script with and without GPU options. I made an actionto click on the Edit>Preferences>Performace>use graphics processor checkbox. But now I want to check wether the checkbox is ticked or not to determine i should use it for a with GPU run or without GPU run. I cant seem to find the prefernce/property/object name to access this selection in the photoshop scripting library. Can someone help me here?

    I did not see anything in the Object Viewer for preference open GL, performance or GPU  so I do not think there is a DOM method available to retrieve or set it.  You can set it using the action manager using scriptlistener code.

  • How can I Edit preferences performance use Graphics Processor option through the jsx script

    Hi I need to check and access the Edit>preferences>performance>use Graphics Processor option setting through the script. i cant find it in the object domain, I have the following to check the current state:
    var ref = new ActionReference();
    ref.putEnumerated( charIDToTypeID('capp'), charIDToTypeID('Ordn'), charIDToTypeID('Trgt') );
    var openglEnabled = executeActionGet(ref).getObjectValue (charIDToTypeID('CchP')).getBoolean (stringIDToTypeID('openglEnabled'));
    alert( openglEnabled );
    but then i am unable to set the value using this:
    var openglEnabled = executeActionGet(ref).getObjectValue (charIDToTypeID('CchP')).putBoolean (stringIDToTypeID('openglEnabled'));
    I tried using a recorded action but that doesnt work. Any recommendations?

    If you load the scriptlisener plug-in when you set  your preference to enable your GPU it will record the code you need.  The Code I posted to your thread in the scripting forum the other day.

    Sounds like your WL config is a bit different, perhaps a classpath issue or
    a missing .properties file or a different command line. For whatever
    reason, the factory does not know what class is supposed to be used as the
    initial context.

    According to your getWeblogicInitialContext(), you are putting ctxt.close() in a finally block,

  • Can't use Graphics Processor for Photoshop CS6 on Windows 8

    Hi,
    I just got a fresh upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 8 Pro (not beta) but then I can't use Photoshop that well. In the Preferences > Performance, I can't tick "Use Graphics Processor". I have an ATI graphics card and yep, I've already tried upgrading/reinstalling my graphics driver, even installing old ones -- and still, this doesn't solve my problem (even in its control panel, I can't seem to see the settings of the graphics card!)
    Any ideas/suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks!

    What display driver have you installed?  And what is your card?
    The ATI Catalyst 12.8 driver release claims to be compatible with Windows 8, though I haven't tried the combination myself yet.
    Did you install Windows 8 as an upgrade or a clean install?  The latter is always preferable.
    I know a secret registry incantation that will force Photoshop to use the OpenGL subsystem no matter what, and I've used that to get GPU acceleration in a test installation in a virtual machine, but rather that put that forth just yet let's find out if you've done all you can the "above board" way first.

  • Using a processor from QS in an even older mac?

    Hello.
    Can I use the processor from my old G4 QuickSilver 733Mhz (broken sound output) in my even older G4 466Mhz? They both have 133Mhz system-bus, so If it does fit, my biggest concern is heat issues.
    Thanks.

    Hi
    the different caches can be confusing, especially as the Digital Audio G4s use two different G4 variants. The 466/533MHz have a large (1MB) but slow (233/266MHz) level 2 cache. The 733MHz has a small (256K) but fast (733MHz) level 2 cache and a large (1MB) but slow (183MHz) level 3 cache. Just to confuse things further though, the 733MHz processor used in the Quicksilver doesn't have the level 3 cache that the same speed processor in the Digital Audio has!
    It's difficult to say how much of a speed gain you'll actually notice. If both Macs are still useable though and have a similar spec in terms of the amount of memory etc, perhaps you could perform some tests with the applications you normally use. Alternatively you could try using Xbench and perform the processor tests, although it's a bit artificial.
    If things get too hot the case fan should speed up to its higher setting which will be noticeably louder and/or you'll start experiencing kernel panics. I'd be surprised if you actually destroyed the processor and/or logic board, although I guess it's not impossible.
    As well the possible heat issues and 12 volt feed that's needed, before installing the processor you'll also need to remove the old thermal pads/paste from the heat sink bottom/processor top and apply some new. This ensures a good heat transfer between the processor and heat sink.
    Finally you'll also need to be careful you don't damage anything during the installation. It's not that difficult to do, but when you remove the heat sink clips you need to make sure the screw driver doesn't slip and damage the logic board. Similarly when you remove the processor card, you need to lift it straight up to make sure the processor socket and pins aren't damaged.
    I'm not trying to put you off, but I'd keep these things in mind when deciding whether it's worth doing...
    I hope this helps.

  • User anonymous does not have permission to perform lookup : help needed

    Hi All,
    I'm facing a strange problem.
    I'm using weblogic 8.1
    Some ejbs are deployed in the application and security settings are done properly.
    But sometimes, i get an exception saying that
    'javax.naming.NoPermissionException: User <anonymous> does not have permission on weblogic to perform lookup operation. [Root exception is javax.naming.NoPermissionException: User <anonymous> does not have permission on weblogic to perform lookup operation.]
    at weblogic.rjvm.BasicOutboundRequest.sendReceive(BasicOutboundRequest.java:108)' .
    This ejb is invoked from a web application, and the exception happens only once in the server lifecycle (but not on the first try).
    This happens in a JTA transaction and eventually the transaction gets timed out. Once timed out for the first time, further requests are executing fine and it is connecting with the configured security credentials.
    Initially i thought ejb caching was causing the problem. But even after removing the cache, it is throwing the exception.
    Only sometimes, it is trying to connect as <anonymous> user.
    I'm so fed up with this..
    Can anybody help me out..?

    Which 8.1 SP are you on? If you open a support case, a support engineer may be able to identify a fix that has been included in a newer Service Pack.

  • CS6 Use graphics processor+Laptops/Nividia Optimus - incompatible in Win8 since Nvidia 304.79 Beta?

    Hi.
    In Photoshop CS6 the layers are not displayed at all if using Nivdia Geforce drivers 306.02 in Windows 8 64-bit.
    If I revert back to Nvidia Geforce drivers 304.79 (Beta) - it works fine - the layers are now displayed.
    I've posted this as a bug feedback to Nividia - and now I'm also posting it to Adobe here.
    The laptop system uses Nividia Optimus hybrid graphics and Photoshop has been setup using the defaults (PS profile from Nvidia) to use the Nvidia card as High Performance Graphics. Photoshop hardware acceleration does not crash with either driver set - except since 304.79 Beta the layers are not displayed. So something has changed with Nvidia after the 304.79 Beta release, i.e. a bug - or Adobe has a bug in its implemention for DirectX with hard acceleration.

    Nvidia has just updated their drivers for Win8 and Notebooks to 306.97
    I can confirm that Use Graphics Processor in PS CS6 now works with Nividia Optimus
    BTW To the guy just above who put a question in this thread about Nividia Optimis and PS6 - but about symptomatic errors message from IE when using YouTube - and has an Nividia chip.
    Nividia does extend IE with addons. Sounds like you should test for your system for virus or other similar bad configurations in your system. The error messages you receive from IE are not standard. Or if they are, then IE is telling you have malicious software installed. I.e. In any case, you have malicious software - you system is infected ... you have software making your system malfunction ... clean it up

    I'm trying to use Image Processor to work on a folder of images and to create several sizes of .jpg's . I find an option to Save as JPEG in one size only. Is there any way to set up Image Processor to save JPEG to multiple sizes?
    Thanks in advance for your help!!!

    Hi Mehtap,
    Using the script will give you multiple selections.
    This is how I did it and it works well. It just separated the values by semicolon ";" .
    TEXT_1.setText(DS_1.getFilterText("0CUSTOMER"));
    When selected only one value:
    When selected more than one value:
