Good Afternoon,
I just wanted to take a moment to let someone know that I although I am an online shopper (primarily) - I gave Best Buy three chances to earn my business on a new TV set. I was coming from a home with two VERY old TVs (15 yr old / 10 yr old) and wanted a cheap unit to hold me over for 2-6 months until I could decide what I would be buying high end. I located a special for a 55" Westinghouse (garbage by most accounts) for $399.99 on your website. I ordered it for store pickup in North Jacksonville (FL). Upon arriving at the store I was informed that it was a "no pick" and that the order was going to be canceled. Per the email instructions received from Best Buy, I called support to see what alternatives existed.... the answer: none.
Against my better judgment, I then located a Sharp 55" with some type of promotional item (Roku stick I think) for $500. When I attempted to place an order I was told, "This item is not available for delivery to the North Jacksonville store". A trip to the store confirmed that they did not have it either.
Last shot - I was ready to purchase a Sony XBR65X850B - slightly different from the previous two TVs. Best Buy DID have this TV in stock. The problem is that it was priced @ $2799.99 + tax when five online retailers had it for $2235.00 (incl. tax and delivery). While I understand the additional cost associated with Brick and Morter retailing, $750 was just too big a price difference to swallow - especially given the earlier headache. While they were also unable to match the price online, HHGregg did come down to $2400 and thus earned my business. 
I may be one of the few people that miss stores like "Blockbuster", because we need local stores spending money on local labor. Let's also not forget the convenience factor. But all said, the level of service and the convenience cannot justify a 30% price difference on a high end TV or a 200% markup on a 6ft HDMI 2.0 cable I recently priced in your store. A brief search online shows that I am not alone (http://consumerist.com/tag/bestbuycom/). Our CEO says he keeps a Smith Corona typewritter in his office, because it reminds him that great companies can disappear if they are not able to keep up with the times. I share because I truly hope Best Buy can "right the ship" before it goes the way of other great companies.

The purchase of a brand-new TV is by no means a small investment -- even if you're looking for a temporary stand-in while you plan your dream home theater system -- so I can imagine why you'd be frustrated. I'd be disheartened too if I found myself in a similar situation, especially if multiple suitable models appeared to be unavailable.
We strive to ensure that product listings on BestBuy.com accurately reflect in-store inventory levels, although this information is not necessarily updated on a live basis. As such, customers can expect to receive final notification whether or not a requested product is available after their order has been placed and in a separate message from their order confirmation. It also sounds like the second TV you mentioned may have been an online-only item or not carried by stores in your area, but it'd be difficult to know for certain without additional information.
As far as the third TV is concerned, remember that Best Buy is able to match the price of most products available at local retail competitors and those sold by and shipped from designated online retailers at the time of sale.   • Lost Business Areas

    I'm having a problem with the business areas. I can create business areas with admin. and I've checked all of the Privleges and Security issues in Discoverer Admin. But when I log into the EUL with an ID that I have granted access to, I can't see any of the Business areas. If I create a business area with one of the IDs then I can see them when I log back in with the EUL owner.
    Another person on our team has run into the same problem with his EUL on another Database.
    We believe that we've exausted every possibility within Discoverer.
    Any ideas?

    When you log in, are you not seeing the business areas or just not seeing the folders in the business areas ?
    If it is the later, that could be that the users don't have select privileges on the underlying tables/views. It could also be that the folders contain calculated items using a PL/SQL function that the users do not have execute privileges on. Either one will hide individual folders.
    If it is the former, this has always been a privilege issue in my experience. When you are in the end user edition and can't see business areas, go to Tools--> Options--> EUL and jot down the EUL that you are connected to.
    Enter into the Admin edition as the owner of that EUL, open up the Business areas, and click on the security key on the toolbar, go to the appropriate end user and make sure that they have access to the business areas.
    If they do, click on the lock on the toolbar, and under the Privileges tab, select the correct user and make sure that you have a least checked the box by user edition. By the way, you must always have that box checked, even if you have selected some of the others underneath it.

  • Issue with executing Business Rules from Planning web

    Hi,
    We are using Hyperion Planning 9.3.0.1 and we keep getting an issue with the Business Rules. We get an error if we try to run the rules from Planning web. The same rules validates and executes fine if we run it from AAS. This issue gets resolved if we restart the Planning and RMI service. But this issue keeps happening randomly. Is there a permanent resolution to it? Is it a bug or I am missing something here?

    Have you installed any of the patches for 9.3.0.1, I think it goes up to 9.3.0.1.09
    One of the fixes was :-
    8-665086601 (6588823) – When the Business Rules connection to the relational database is lost, Business Rules does not reconnect to it. To solve this problem, an optional property, HBR_CONNECTION_VALIDATE_TIME, was added to HBRServer.properties. This property specifies a time interval for checking the connection between Business Rules and the relational database. If the connection is not valid, a new connection is established. The time interval is specified in milliseconds and defaults to 300,000 (five minutes).
    Though I know there has been more attention to fixing known issues on 9.3.1 than 9.3.0.1

  • Problem running business rules through forms that are 15+ mins long.

    I just upgraded to 9.3.1 from 9.0.1 and we are having some issues with our business rules. We have business rules that can run up to several hours but the status on the screen ends up timing out with a 'please see planning' log error.
    The error in the log states: Status unknown, calculation context no longer available
    I can tell every second planning is checking on the business rule but after about 15 mins it does not:[9/5/08 19:47:06:810 CDT] 000000c1 SystemOut O state in essMainCalc.getprocessstate = 1
    Even though there is an error I can look at what is running in essbase and see that the business rule is still running. When it finishes it does what it is supposed to do.
    I have tried updating HBRServer.properties to a new timeout but it does not work.
    I am really lost here, can anyone help?

    There are a couple of you have, you can switch business rules to start running in the background after a certain time, the status of the rules can then be checked from planning with the business rules status page
    To set this up :-
    1 Select Administration > Manage Properties.
    2 Select Application Properties to set properties and values for a Planning application.
    3 Add the property by clicking Add, entering the property in the blank row, and entering a value in Property
    Value:
    Enter HBR_MAX_WAIT_FOR_RULE and the interval in milliseconds to wait before running
    business rules in the background. If this property is not set, the feature does not work, and
    business rules do not run in the background.
    Optional: Enter HBR_MONITOR_DELAY and the interval in milliseconds for checking
    business rule status.
    The default and minimum value for both options is 180000 milliseconds (3 minutes). If you
    set a lower value, that value is ignored, and the property is set to the default value.
    4 Click Save and confirm your changes.
    Or you could try installing patch 9.3.1.1.1 or above (it is now at 9.3.1.1.7) from metalink3.

  • HELP! HELP! Please.... Cannot send email via SMTP....

    Not posted here before but this really is a last ditch attempt to get my email working. I'm at my wits end with this.
    I reported a problem that I could not send mail via SMTP (with Outlook) last December (2014). I kept getting a message from the mail server stating "421 Too many messages". They guys on live chat tried for an hour to get it working, finally gave up and told me to use WebMail instead. Ok, that worked but... in January that went off completely and I found that BT had removed my mailbox from the system!
    It's now 19th March 2015. Today, (yes 3 months later) my mailbox finally came back online. At last I could catch up on all my lost messages, lost business and everything else that was important (yep all my old messages were THERE!).
    BT support have been useless, in fact, more than useless. I'm abroad working at the moment and I've had to make many international calls to the UK to bitterly complain about this. They won't call me - they will only call a UK number so all the cost, plus the lost business and everything else is at my cost. So, webmail is working. I went to set up my Ouitlook client and guess what...?  I have the SAME error message. The client is connecting but error is the same. 
    421 is a SERVER message which is telling me that the BT Mail server is not configured for enough connections. Either that or it's severely overloaded. This is BT's problem - not mine but all BT have done is fob me off with excuses for 3 months and now I'm back to square one. the support guys have no idea what this message means.
    Today I was told that if I wanted it sorted I had to pay for BT Expert help.
    What???  I don't need an "expert". I just want them to configure their server properly!
    Can ANYONE - anyone from BT please, please help me to get this sorted. I'm tearing my hair out and as you may have guessed by now I'm also very angry about this.
    I've tried making an online official complaint but that came to nothing as they told me as it was Outlook they couldn't help. Maybe it was set up wrong. It's not set up wrong - I'm a Network Engineer!!  I've set up hundreds of Outlook accounts! The SERVER error message is like a big flashing sign stating that it's a BT issue. Why will no-one listen to me???  Why will they do nothing at all?  This problem has been posted many times. Why is it not sorted?

    Yes of course I've contacted the Premium Mail help number. I've called them many, many times without any success at all and since I've been calling from abroad it's cost me a fortune to get nowhere.
    These forums are for the BT Community. I'm part of the community since I still have BT services. This isn't a Broadband forum. As I've indicated though, I've been with BT for over 35 years so I think that entitles me to some sort of service - even from here if possible.
    There is no issue with my account according to the BT staff. This has been checked and all is fine. The issue is that they are refusing to acknowledge that there is a problem although there clearly is one.
    However.... your statement: 
    It also possible that you are being stopped from using BTs SMTP server, because you are not actually connected to  BT Broadband. You would therfore be restriced to using webmail only.
    ... is new to me. No-one has told me that.
    One has to then beg the question: "If you can only use so-called Premium Mail via the web then why are BT not telling people that?"  No-one seems to know - even you Keith, say that "it is also possible...."
    If this actually IS the reason then I could have been told that from the beginning.
    Unfortunately, error 421 is one of the more "unspecific" codes generated by mail servers. This error can mean many things. It can show misconfiguration but it doesn't show up as a security lockdown - even though it could be. What I can't understand is why no-one actually knows. No-one can explain absolutely and that's what is really annoying here.
    No-one will take responsibility and no-one is willing to even try to help me out here - that's what is really bad.
    Keith, you've come up with something which makes sense that may well explain the issue - but the question is really: "What can I do about it?". 
    Nothing?  I just have to put up with it?  Great customer care....

  • Iphoto 9.3 and Mountain Lion Problems : Cant access my library : rebuilding doesn't work just hangs for hours

    My Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard, had hard drive failure so I had to borrow a friends similar machine to access my iPhoto library ( 523 GB) on a 1TB drive after editing the photos and after exporting one folder of images the program quit and then asked me to repair which I tried hung up at 99% and would not open the event thumbnails . I have tried everything even trying to transfer the particular event from that library to a new library using iphoto manager just so I can export my project and send but still no success as it is telling me that it is getting no info from the library, I changed permissions on the drive ..still no success . I restarted Iphoto and it took hours to show the images but all events thumnails said "0" and it shows all the event cover photos as a gray photo with a palm tree in it or something . I tried rebuilding again this morning and the new library says "0" photos and a library size of 7.3 mb
    I got my own Macbook 17in back yesterday and downloaded Mountain Lion to my machine and Iphoto 9.3
    I tried to open the library which is 523 GB of images that used to work fine before getting an error message saying it needed to be repaired. I tried opening it with Iphoto 9.3 via I photo manager which told be that there were inconsistencies in the library and it needed to be repaired I chose that option and it is now the following day still "rebuilding thumbnails" since last night . This is a huge problem I have missed project deadlines and my income is severely affected by this situation of not being able to access my work. What can I do to fix this, access my files and export my overdue project at this point ?

    Terence I find it surprising that you would say use Iphoto Manager after saying that I used it to rebuild using it took me to 99% of the way and just hung. I even spent my $20 and got the latest version 3.8.3  which was supposed to remedy these issues. See below my email to Fat Cat software the makers of Iphoto Manager:

    Its days later and the support at Fat Cat software emailed me asking a question and are apparently just as floored as I am with this malfunction ..I hope they are working feverishly to address this as my conclusion and solution is as follows :
    Using the older version of Iphoto Library Manager when my machine asked me to upgrade and rebuild instead of the first aid function in Iphoto 9.3 did not help but actually corrupted my library and downloading the latest version did not help remedy it either. What I should have done and am now doing is using the Iphoto first Aid function in Mountain Lion and Iphoto 9.3 using option command to rebuild the entire library. So far it is working with no hangups ...it is now rebuilding image version number 6715 and counting with 33000+ images to go ..if this solution really rebuilds then that is the ONLY way to go with this issue which has cost me a lot of time and money in missed deadlines , lost income and lost business . Iphoto and Iphoto Library manager are normally great in what their purposes are and in ease of use and function but whenawry with compatibility in version software issues arise things go terribly awry and the tedious painstaking fixes available that go for days on end  just do not cut it.

  • Lumia 800 turning off randomly

    hi All
    I'm having an odd problem with my Lumia 800, that I hope you can help with. The phone randomly shuts down, it doesn't seem to be related to the power levels as it does it when fully charged. It can go 2 days or 5 minutes before doing this. The odd thing is that to turn it back on I have to plug it into my PC, it comes back on immediately... it does not seem to come on if I plug it into the mains. This is a recent issue it worked for a couple of months without any issues.
    Any ideas? I'm based in london on an Orange contract. Thanks for you help in advance.

    I'm having a similar problem, my 800 switches off in mid conversation sometimes and restarts. This is very frustrating as most of my calls are to clients of my small business. However the caller ID from that call doesn't record as would usually happen.This is not so bad if it's a current client as I can call them straight back on the landline but if it is new business I don't have that option as I have no number :-( (therefore lost business)
    I am getting really hacked off with it and could do with a proper answer.

    cant view a file i uploaded from my mobile device (Iphone or Ipad) into dropbox then view it from my mobile device again.  i can from my computer but not any of my mobile devices.  it was working great until the update back in October 2013.  i have lost business because of this update and i wish i could go back and not do it.  i have 4 other devices that we did not do the update to and they continue to perform great.

  • Error connecting to planning server from EAS

    We implemented Hyperion Planning about 1 month ago. We are having this intermittent issue with connecting to Planning servers. When the users attempt to add a Business Rule, they select an outline, and browse to the planning servers. When they click one of the two servers they get the message "Error connecting to Planning server <<Server A>>". The message only happens on Server A.
    I check the planning service, it is running. I login directly to the planning application (http://<<Server A>>:8300/HyperionPlanning/) , it works fine. However I still get the error. The problem comes and goes, but once is happens the only solution seems to be restart all of the services on the Planning server.
    Is anyone experiencing this issue?
    If so is there a resolution? Is this a common thing with Hyperion Planning?
    I opened a TAR, but because the issue is only happening occasionally (1 day in 5) I thought I would try the forums. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Relating facts with different grains

    I'm having an issue designing a cube/star schema where I need to relate 2 fact tables that are at a different grain.
    I currently have a star with 1 fact table (Insurance Premium) and 3 dimensions (Date, Account, Policy).  The fact table has 1 row for each policy within each account for every quarter (quarterly snapshot).  The measure is Premium.
    We need to enhance this star with a new fact table that stores Lost Accounts for each quarter.  The difference with this data is that we only get it at the Account Level.  So the Fact table will have 1 row for each lost account per quarter.  The
    measure is Lost Premium.
    I created the Lost Business Fact table which relates to the same Date and Account dimension as the Insurance Premium Fact table.  In the cube, i created a new measure group for the Lost Premium fact table and related it to the same Date and Account
    dimensions.
    the 2 issues that I am having are:
    1.  In the Policy Dimension table, there is a field called AccountBroker, which stores the Broker for the account.  So if the account has 5 policies, this table will have 5 rows and the AccountBroker field will be the same for each row.  The
    end users want to be able to use this field (AccountBroker) in the Lost Premium Fact table so that they can slice and dice the Lost Premium by Account Broker.  The issue is that I'm not sure how to relate the Lost Premium Fact to the Policy Dimension
    since the Lost Premium Fact is at Account level and the Policy Dimension is at Policy Level.
    2.  The other issue is that when we receive the Lost Business File for each quarter, the account may not be present in the Premium Fact because it was lost.  So for example, for Q1 2014, account 1234 was lost and we receive a record in the Lost
    Business File with Account 1234 as being lost and it gets inserted into the Lost Premium Fact.  However, when we get the file that loads the Insurance Premium Fact for Q1 2014, this account is not present because it was lost in that quarter, so there
    is no way to link the records.  My first thought was to maybe take the records from the previous quarter (Q4 2012) and insert those records for Q1 2014 into the Insurance Premium Fact with 0 premium so that they exist and then there will be a match, but
    not sure if there is a better design.
    any ideas would be appreciated.

    For me,
    DEPT_FACT is not a fact. It's a dimension table because you have a one-to-many relationship and you have a measure in the dimension table (it's an aggregated measure).
    And EMP_FACT is also not a fact because you don't have any measure on it.
    But if we say that EMP_FACT is a fact. DEPT_FACT is an aggregated table from EMP_FACT.
    I will :
    * create a logical dimension for the employee with three levels (all, departement and detail)
    * create a logical fact table with :
    - one logical column for the revenue in the level all departement
    - one logical column for the employee
    and two physical source :
    * DEPT_FACT with the departement level
    * EMP_FACT with the level to detail

  • I have to PAY to get my Audigy2zs working?

    I have had problems with my Audigy 2zs, and identical problems with my 'replacement' Audigy 4, from day one under Windows XP, only playing back 2 sounds in most games, popping and hissing under high CPU/memory loads, flat out won't play any sound in some games, Creative bloatware causing system crashes and memory overload, inconsistent volume, problems installing the drivers, etc.
    Then I move to Vista and the stupid sound won't play in games without a massi've CPU overload, robbing me of frames rendered in a major way. (About a 20% performance loss.) I finally go back to on-board sound after struggling with it for a week. I get much better performance and much better sound with my ALC850 than I have with either my Audigy 2zs or my Audigy 4. I didn't like using it under XP because it would cause crashes too, but less than the 2 Creative cards. However, under Vista, the problems have all gone away.
    I spent $200 on those 2 cards. I actually trusted that Creative, who had supplied me with such good audio cards, with such nice features, in the past with my SB Pro, SB 6, and SB AWE64. I trusted that they would give me a good audio card. Wow, was I wrong! They were total junk. If I didn't install the whole bloated software suite with it, I didn't get the features, yet if I did install their bloated crap, it would cause the system to crash constantly.
    Now, in order to get those features with Vista, I have to PAY!?!?!?!?! They never worked right to begin with, and I don't expect this stuff to work with Vista either, but I would have to PAY EXTRA to find out?!?! That sucks in a big way!
    Creative, you better get your heads out of your collecti've bloated rear ends and start listening to the people who use your hardware. You have lost far too many customers over the past couple years due to your crappy support, and I think this is going to lose you even more. You lost me as a customer a while ago, and I just love ranting in your faces about it, but you are going to dri've the company into the ground this way. I will be laughing at the 'funeral' of your company when you shut down because of too much lost business.

    actually they dont give a rats ass about the sound card department...
    creatives business has shifted vastly away from that for years already..
    the money is made elsewhere.
    For me they made the wrong deciscon letting other companies
    grab the gigantic market of onboard chipset solutions and
    sticking to their little niche product called PCI addon card.
    A market that is bound to stay small and get even smaller the
    more integrated stuff evolves. I mean just watch the price
    tags...the lowest end X-FI shipped for way over 00 Euro
    at release. For that price i used to get almost the Top End
    card back in the old days. Probably theyll always find enough
    people to buy their label tricked cards and on the Top End
    to the folks who need all the gadgets and stuff.
    But clearly ..NO professional sound engineer i ever heard
    of uses Soundblaster Cards for business...
    Anyway soundcards that come at the price of a midrange
    GFX Card or even more exspensi've bloated with features
    noone hardly ever uses...oh well bound to fail in the
    midrange perspecti've i think.
    And since Vista took away the control of the soundboard
    makers..things will get more and more difficult.
    Imagine u want to develop a new sound acceleration or
    gaming sound standard...X-FI was a humungeous FLOP
    already and that wasnt even restricted by Vista..
    I personally only know the BF2 and 242 titles that
    actually brand support X-FI and to be honest i dont
    hear a dime worth of difference on my X-FI music compared
    to hardware sound.
    I would clearly consider taking the step into integrated
    solutions and blow away the competition with daugther
    boards that have A)Superior PCB B)next to none interference
    C) top quality parts D) coax and optical out (please no
    more flexijack crap) E) top of the line codecs F) true
    HD Fidelity for a reasonable price to bundle with flagship
    motherboards of all big mobo makers. Leave the lower end
    to the AC crappers and Intel HD crackle.
    And for software..way to many resources wasted on things
    others do 000x better than creative will ever do.
    Focus on superior driver design. Frequent updates.
    A good EQ, Mixer and tools that give total control over
    every input/output and speaker setup. Thats all people
    really need. And for the rest of the useless bloatware,
    just dont try to reinvent the wheel. There is loads of
    semi-pro , pro and even FREE software out that can do
    the job and get the job done, u cannot compete with
    real audio software makers...u could focus on making

  • BT are overcharging me by £40 per month + other gr...

    Hello, everyone.
    This is my first post here, and it will be long, and in the form of a mixture of a rant and a complaint, and I want to apologise for that beforehand. I don't want to be *that guy* who comes into a room and instantly kicks off about something, but I'm at my wits' end, and I have never before been treated like this by any service provider.
    The reason I'm posting this here is because I literally can't find out how to complain to BT. Their pre-formulated "solutions" avail me not, I've tried calling and using the option of having them call me back, which they never did/do, and it's pointless for me to talk to some guy in a call centre halfway around the world who not only misunderstands the nature of my complaint, but, even if he did, would be powerless to change it.
    This is the complaint I sent to BT, which prompted the aforementioned call centre operator to contact me and suggest that I "change my password every day for a month". I live with two other people, and we all have numerous internet devices (laptops, stationary pcs, smart phones) - around 10 in total - and you want me to change the password *every day* for *one month* to see if that might solve the problem?
    Anyway, here it is:
    To whom it may concern
    I have been repeatedly abused and mistreated by BT. The last on a long and painful list of grievances is that when my broadband security password (never changed from the default one, and never shown to anyone outside my dwelling place) was hacked and my connection used to download up to FIVE TIMES my usage limit, you were not only too happy to take the obscene amounts of money you charge for gigabytes in excess of this pernicious download limit, (which, by the way, NO ONE informed me of when I was PETITIONED to switch to BT Broadband, during a call in which the glorified hawker (cursed be his name) managed to PROMISE me MINIMUM download speeds of 12 MB per SECOND (a guarantee I was mindless enough not to ask for in writing)), but you also deigned to wait THREE MONTHS before informing me that my usage had (suddenly, and suspiciously, you would think) gone from around my measly 10 allotted gigabytes per month to FIFTY. Add to this the fact that when I tried to get my landline activated at my humble abode (or so it must strike you as, to pay it such little heed), you never did appear on the date the PRINTED LETTER you had sent me stated, and when I called to inquire as to the reason of your hired guns' truancy, you informed me that regrettably, I had chosen an ILLEGAL COMBINATION in my package (this fact was very well hidden by your Byzantine sign-up procedure, as it showed no outward signs of condemnation of my ILLEGAL COMBINATION, but rather allowed me to COMBINE ILLEGALLY, take my money, arrange an activation date and SEND ME A LETTER CONFIRMING THIS, and then took NO FURTHER ACTION to notify me that my COMBINATION had been ILLEGAL FOR SIX WEEKS while I awaited my overdue landline activation with trepidation), so you were in fact not going to come and activate my landline, and had now CANCELLED my order. Again, WITHOUT TELLING ME. I then had to wait ANOTHER FOUR WEEKS before your hired buffoons ("I'm sorry, sir, but we subcontract the actual activation of the landline to the COMPLETELY UNRELATED company BT OPENREACH, so there is no way we can actually override the system and give you an earlier activation date"), after having cost me SEVERAL THOUSAND POUNDS in lost income (yet again!), finally came in to flick the switch ("That'll be £125, please!").
    At this point in time, I believe it would be prudent for you, as a company, to offer me some token of reimbursement as a measure of your no doubt elephantine remorse, regret and contrition by way of... well, what would you suggest?
    Now, I know that this is written in a sarcastic and choleric tone (I've tried being civil, patient and polite, but that has gotten me nowhere in a hurry), but surely that does not negate the validity of my complaint
    I should also note that I was notified that the problem might be online gaming. I have since stopped doing that altogether, but looking at my broadband usage now, it hasn't solved the problem at all. In fact, it has made no discernible interest whatsoever.
    The only explanation I can think of for the increased usage is that someone has hacked into my connection. Why else would I suddenly be downloading five times as much per month?
    I guess what I'm asking you people is what I should do to resolve this.
    If I cancel my DirectDebit payments, that might get BT's attention, but it also might result in them suspending my internet connection, and I work from home and am completely reliant on a fast and stable internet connection (did I mention it stops working / falls out every 20 minutes?), which is another reason why I would never have signed up for this plan in the first place if I knew I could only use 10 GB per month (which I nevertheless stayed within for the first months).
    If I leave BT, I'll probably have to pay for the outstanding months of the 18 month contract I was tricked into signing, and I would have to go without an internet connection until I can get with another ISP.
    If I upgrade my plan, I'll be giving these bloodsuckers even more of my money, not less.
    As I wrote earlier, I'm at the end of my tether, so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    With Glassfish V3 it outputs a JSF 1063 warning to do with not being able to serialise an object. Below is the Glassfish log:

    </html>Currently when feedback.xhtml is visited nothing is saved to the HTTP session even though feedback's properties are bound to the JSF controls in feedback.xhtml. Has anyone encountered a similar problem where a session scoped managed bean is not persisted in a HTTP session?

    Interesting that the container would attempt to persist a session to disk, or some other persistent storage if the session times out. This would explain why there was a warning message that appeared in the Glassfish log. Below is the contents of FeedbackController.java:

    }As for FeedbackController it is set for None scope since some data is contained within the managed bean itself. All data bindings to the FeedbackController are receiving the correct values so this isn't the actual issue. The real issue is data not being retrieved from Feedback when it is filled with data (supposedly), hence all form data is lost when feedback.xhtml is refreshed.
    Although this may not be needed I have included the contents of web.xml below just in case:

  • Division by zero

    I need help: I am trying to take 40,000 rows of historical forecast (planned demand) and 40,000 rows of sales orders (actual demand) and the the Absolute (ABS) value of the difference of the actual demand vs the planned demand to then sum up at a sku and
    DC level what the Weighted Mean Average percent of Error would would be.
    What I have is the following in a query:
    Field 1: Sku CD & DC CD(Group By) - this is the sku and DC concant unique record
    Field 2: MarFY15_Lag (Sum) - this is the forecast a.k.a planned demand
    Field 3: March_FY2015_Sales Order Qty_CS (Sum) - this is the actual demand
    Field 4: ABS_Mar_FY15 (Sum) - this is the absolute value of the difference of the Field 2 - Field 3 in a previous query and this is now the result in this query.
    So now in this query I was trying to do a simple calculation like:
    WMAPE_FCSTSKU_DC: ([ABS_Mar_FY15]/[March_FY2015_Sales Order Qty_CS]) - However this simple calculation had problems and returned a syntax error of "Division by zero".
    Problem #1
    So then I read some chat boards and noticed that my problem is that in my Field 2 I have records with some zeros. Meaning I have had some customers or sales folks who never forecasted the sku at that DC but for that same sku and DC I did have a positive
    value for the Field 3 where a customer had demand with the intent to buy that product. So in this example I need to solve for the 0 in the forecast and let's say the order demand being greater than 1. I think I could try and return a value for this line item
    for something like: "% N/A - 0 FCST"
    Problem #2
    Now the second part of the equation's problem is that in some example for field 2 a customer has provided a forecast but in field 3 they never sent us any orders. So for this again I have a division by zero problem and I think the solve should be something
    like: "% N/A - 0 Cust Demand"
    Problem #3
    Now in some examples of the raw data I have 0 field 2 (FCST) and 0 in the field 3 (demand) and the ABs would then equal 0. In this part of the equation I would like the value to return "% N/A - No FCST & No Demand". By having these record identified
    in the 40,000 line items I can then hunt to determine why is it in future months are we forecasting this based on one months (March 2015) before of not having any activity? Is this new business or is this lost business. new business great... Lost business
    pull the future months forecast and move on.
    So now that we know the three problems then obviously the last step in the equation should be if I have a positive value in Field 2 and a positive value in field 3 then simply calculate the WMAPE.
    This is where I need help as I would like to do all the above mentioned in one query, but someone smarter than me might say I need to break it up into multiple steps. All in all I think I will to do some sort of equation that relies on IIF and Nz but I am
    not sure how to write it... 
    Also I will create some mock data if this helps someone to see and test it:

    I cannot connect to bt openzone. I have the business broadband package and regularly use the bt openzone when working remotely but today I cannot even get the login page up and no one seems to be able to tell me why! I have lost business and money today because if this!!! Can anybody help?!
