Lost content, please help!

Well, my harddrive needed replacing and so I had that done. iTunes was saved and all is well with that. The problem is that all of the content I purchased on my AppleTV while my computer was being repaired dissappeared when it synched the first time with my repaired PC. This is what happened:
I restarted my PC and then opened iTunes. Everything was on iTunes that was there before the PC repair.
The Apple TV showed up in devices and started to synch.
After a few hours of synching, the movies and TV shows that were only on my AppleTV were gone.
I did not choose to delete anything and they do not show up in iTunes or in the AppleTV. We are talking about 8 movies and several TV shows. Can anyone tell me where they might be restored from?
The iTunes settings for my Apple TV are set to synch all movies and all TV episodes.

Your best bet immediately is to 'Report An Issue' to iTunes Store Support & tell them this. Plead with them to add them to your store's queue again.
Otherwise, well, good luck.
If you have Time Capsule, you can easily restore stuff. I love mine.

So a Spotlight search on your phone to search for Safari and click the App. Once you verify that it is still on there you'll just have to look for it.
If the App isn't listed, try a restart/reboot of the iPhone holding the home button and sleep/wake switch. If the App still doesn't show itself in the OS or via Spotlight, restore the phone via iTunes.

Disappearing Window Content - please help?

I'm not very familiar with Java at all, but I have to use it for an assignment, part of which involves randomly generating a maze and displaying it on the screen. I use a JFrame object for displaying.
However, sometimes when I run the program, the maze appears for less than a second, then disappears leaving a blank frame. At other times, the frame is completely empty. And sometimes, the maze is displayed the way it should be (this usually happens after a fresh recompiling). My code runs thus:

Can anyone please explain to me why my content disappears at times, and is displayed at others? I am in sore need of help, and would be very grateful if someone could give me a hint... If I'm doing something stupid here, my apologies in advance.

I understand that I didn't set the tags to display my code properly - I'm sorry, I didn't know about it... But I don't quite understand what else I've done wrong. Let me rephrase my question:
I'm trying to print a maze on screen using a JFrame object. Unfortunately, when I run the program (and quit it properly after each time), one of the following happens:
a) The maze is printed correctly.
b) The maze appears for less than a second, then disappears leaving a blank JFrame window.
c) The JFrame window remains blank (which may be the same thing as b, only the maze flashes by too fast for me to notice).
I've gone through a few JFrame tutorials, and I think I've followed the general guidelines. I tried looking for help at other sources - to see if anyone else had trouble with their Jframe content being displayed only sometimes. I even tried setting the Jframe object to always appear on top, but it didn't help. Since I've little experience with coding in Java, I was wondering if someone could please help me by telling me if I'm doing something wrong?

Updated iWeb 2.0.2: LOST Website - Please HELP

Hi Folks,
I just ran software update today and installed all the updates. Upon opening iWeb and accepting the new license agreement, I was greeted not by the website I have spent months building; but the Template select screen. My business website is no where to be found. This is very frustrating. I noticed one other person had the same problem. Hope this can be remedied. Definitely going to set me back a few weeks. This is the first time in 6 years I have had a problem with anything Apple...Please Help!

This is quite strange. I keep my websites in separate folders and launch iWeb from there. When I tried V2.0.2 I used one of these sites to launch it. I keep a file in the iWeb folder which is a sort of a dummy. This file was not effected nor erased by the update.
So many people have problems with these domain files. I wish iWeb had a popup telling people to back them up. I keep copies of them in my Home Folder and also on two external drives.
I use the application Super Duper to make incremental backups every week.
I once lost two months work when my hard drive failed. The bigger the disaster - the greater the lesson learned!

Expandable list - Table of Contents - Please Help

The problem as you will notice if you go to this page and click on the categories, is that only the first topic will expand and all the others will not.
I have reviewed the code several times and do not see any differences between the first topic heading and the others; nor between the code that works on the first page and the page I am creating using Dreamweaver.
I have thought about using the Spry Collapsible Panel or Accordian but it is not exactly what we want. Besides everyone is already comfortable with this layout.
If anyone could please help, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Smtp g-mail settings i lost. Please help

i went to the Apple store and one of the Apple folks was trying to get my smtp account to work through coxcable which it don't anyway i lost my darn gmail smtp settings. Please help

EVERYTHING IS LOST! PLEASE HELP!

Ok, so I go to open my iMovie project and am greeted, horrifically, by this:
"A Project File is Missing
The file “_” couldn’t be opened and is being skipped. Click “Ignore All” to skip any remaining missing file messages."
All the editing progress in the project is gone, and all my clips (not in their edited form) have been moved to the trash. Now what I've noticed is that if I go into show package contents, and then go into cache, all my progress still exists as Timeline Movie.mov but it's all as one video file and I'm afraid to mess with it because it's absurdly small (a few hundred kilobytes). I think what caused this is that the external hard drive my project is saved on was removed, plugged back in, and then saved to. PLEASE HELP ME GET IT BACK TO HOW IT WAS, I'M BEGGING YOU, I've looked everywhere else and have found nothing of help.

First of all, I would restart your computer and see if the problem replicates.
If that fails, open up your Package Contents folder and you should see in there a file called (movie title).iMovieproj. Open that, and if your movie is intact save it under a different name and you are good to go. There is also another file titled (Movie title)~.iMovieproj. If the previous file that you opened does not contain an intact movie, try this one.

According to your other thread, I thought you were trying to delete data off the TC. What changed?
Anyways, data recovery software like Data Rescue II and FileSalvage won't work unless you crack open the TC, remove the drive, and install it into a different HD housing. Then you will be able to recover data with recovery software.

I send alot of emails for my business after a while and try to send an email I get this message
and cant send through Thunderbird,but if I log into my Go Daddy Workspace..I can send the same exact email with no problem. I can receive emails but not send them. then I wait 24 hours or so and its ok. Im also told when people try to email me sometime they get a bounce back.
How do I fix this problem? what are some solutions?

LOST LIBRARY - PLEASE HELP!!

Last night I was trying to move some pictures from my wife's phone to my MBP via bluetooth and something went wrong. At a guess, I saved the photo file that I was transferring AS iphoto not IN iphoto - but as i say thats a complete guess. I have moved photos onto the MBP before via bluetooth without problems.
When I open up iphoto now its completely blank and empty - our library was under the 'shared' users folder so that both my wife and I could see it whichever profile we were using. I haven't backed up previous to this (ironically my new G Drive Hard Drive arrived yesterday). I am in the process of backing up now before I try to recover my 'lost' photos - thought right now I am unsure how to do this.
Now when I try to open the iphoto library in the shared folder, it says 'there is no default application to open the document iphoto library' and takes me into the application folder (presumably) to select the iphoto application, but I don't want to select this until I have finished backing up, just in case.
Having looked at package contents under this iphoto library, I can see there is no 'originals' folder in there as has been mentioned in other threads.
Is anyone able to help please?

Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and point it at the Library location.
If that fails
Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 08* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

Download error (8003) can not download all purchased content - Please help?

I have tried everything short of deleting my apple tv and starting again (already done the soft resets).
My recently purchased products only downloaded in part... spent $300 on content much of which I can not watch = very annoying.
Laptop is nearly full, so downloading to that and syncing is not really an option... just want thew apple tv to do what is advertised.

Solution
Deleting the cached video files of the download, and starting the download again from the beginning, often will resolve this issue.
To find the cached video downloads:
1. Navigate to the downloads folder on your system. This folder can be found in the following locations:
Mac:
~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Downloads
Note: The tilde (~) refers to your Home directory.
Windows Vista:
\Users\username\Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\Downloads\
Windows XP and 2000:
\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\Downloads\
2. Locate the folder that contains the cached video file for this purchase.
In Windows Vista, the folder will be named for the purchased video, and the name will end with .tmp.
Example: The Dundies.tmp
In Windows XP and Windows 2000, the folder will be named for the purchased video, and the name will end with .m4v.tmp.
Example: The Dundies.m4v.tmp
3. Move the .tmp folder for the affected purchased video to the Trash or Recycle Bin.
4. Open iTunes.
5. From the Store menu, choose Check for Purchases.
6. Enter your account name and password and click the Check button.

IPhoto possibly lost photos please help

This is a somewhat long story that I will attempt to condense:
My friend recently updated iPhoto to the latest '11 version -- the friend's running the latest version of Mac OSX, while I'm running Snow Leopard.
Upon reading the stories of iPhoto 11 upgrading iPhoto libraries and accidentally deleting them, I told my friend that it would be best to backup the photos---6000 of them. I have the "bright" idea of going into the Master's folder in the iPhoto library package contents, and copy/pasting that folder to the desktop. My friend accidentally MOVES the folder, cancels the dialogue box/loading bar, tries copying the folder to the desktop, cancels 5 dialogue boxes (clicks the grey x) and the 5 boxes are in infinite load mode. After several hours, the dialogues disappear, leaving a Master folder in the proper position, and a Master folder on the desktop. NEITHER HAS THE PHOTOS IN THEM.
Searching for the original photos in spotlight, it seems that the pictures exist, but not all of them. I fear that a folder was deleted or lost in the whole ordeal. These photos are EXTREMELY important. I predict that maybe they'll show up in the trashbin under recovered files once the computer is turned off and on again, but I am curious if the photos can be recovered differently. I can't risk anything. I realize that what I attempted to do was very risky and silly, but I would appreciate it immensely if someone could helo in some way. We are going to take the computer to a tech store for some help too. Thank you.
EDIT: For the future, what is the best way to backup the iPhoto library's original photos? (Not the library, but the actual files. This whole mess is the result of my lack of knowledge about the new operating system. I have an "Originals" folder with the photos that can be copied/pasted. My friend has something different.)

I wish I had known that the upgrade wouldn't have caused data loss. It would have saved my friend from this ordeal.
Anyway, my instructions to my friend were to go into the package contents of the iPhoto library and copy the masters folder to the desktop.
Unfortunately, my friend accidentally MOVED the folder, then cancelled the move, then copied the masters folder to the desktop, then copied each of the 2011, 2012, 2013 folders to the desktop. Then all four processes were cancelled, hence the multiple dialogue boxes. Now there are no pictures in any of the masters folders, on the desktop, or in the iPhoto library. I hope that repairing permissions would help. I don't think that anything should have been LOST in this process.
EDIT: Teamviewer yes! I asked my friend to use that but it wasn't downloaded. I wanted to use teamviewer but in the moment it just wasn't available. From now on, I have to make sure that I use teamviewer when giving such complicated instructions. The problem is that I cannot see what is going on in my friend's computer, so I'm guessing based on the information given to me.
All I know is that most of the photos still exist as evidenced from a quick spotlight search. SOME may be missing or be in the netherworld.
EDIT 2: No backups exist I'm afraid. I was trying to figure how to backup the library in case the iPhoto '11 upgrade failed somehow. I should have just had my friend copy and paste the iPhoto library, not the masters folder. The process works well in Mac OSX Snow Leopard, but apparently, not in Mac OSX Lion or Mountain Lion.
