Lost Milliseconds when getting timestamp from database
I store a timestamp in DB2 by formatting the current timestamp using the following format mask :
"yyyy-MM-dd-H.mm.ss.SSS". I query the database and the milliseconds are there. When I retrieve a resultset from the database and get the column using rs.getTimestamp(), I reformat it using the same formatting mask and LOSE all the milliseconds. I believe I'm losing the milliseconds when I execute the getTimestamp() method. What do I have to do to get the entire timestamp from the database, including the milliseconds?
I pulled this quote directly out of the jdk docs:
"If a time value that includes the fractional seconds is desired, you must convert nanos to milliseconds (nanos/1000000)"
the timestamp doesn't actually have a millisecond value. You can get it by calling the getNanos() function and /1000000.
you might be losing the millisecond value because there isn't a millisecond value, only nanoseconds.

The setting i have made during configation are :
1> Reciver Party with Agency,Schema and Name entered.
2>Identifiers for both Sender and reciver channel fileld with values seeburger and AS2ID.
3>Used Sender uses Virtual reciver in sender aggremnet.
4> Reciever CC have modules localejbs/Seeburger/solution/as2 and localejbs/ModuleProcessorExitBean in sequence.
Please provide solutions to overcome the issue.
As this is prototyping, i have downloaded Free As2 client and trying to send files to that client from PI.Hi Dinesh,
make sure to also configure a report channel (refer to the sample chapter in the SEEBURGER AS2 documentation) in order to receive AS2 MDNs for your sent message. Additionally report channels are needed if the SEEBURGER specific TransmissionReports are requested.

Freezes when gets back from suspend mode
My 2010 MacMini freezes and show a black courtain sometimes. This happens when gets back from suspend mode. The RAM has passed a test memory and it hasn´t any problem.

Getting virtual memory error when fetching records from database

I am using Oracle as Database and the Oracle JDBC driver. I have simple code which is a select statement but the problem is the resultset dies while fetching the data i.e. 5,50,000. And it gives me the memory error as its storing all in the memory. One of the way which i have serched in the old threads is using the batch method fetching rows at a time but can you tell me how to implement in my code. I am pasting my code.
The overall functionality of my code is that it's reterving data from database and generating an XML file that would be validated with a DTD.

}The problem is that you are fetching and processing all the rows for the query, which the VM cannot handle given the heap space available. The points you could think over are:
* Allocate more heap memory (this would help only to a limited extent)
* Try to process only a few records at a time instead of all of them (there is actually no need to process all the records at a time. Try processing records in lots of say 1000)
* Avoid selecting all the columns [SELECT *] from the table, if all of them are not going to be used.
There is a slight change i have done in the code is that i am using two quereies now one is fetching all the Bills and the secondquery is fetching all the data for the relevant BILL.

How to refresh the current page when retrieving data from database
hi all
in my application i want to navigate from different tables to different forms. The data in the table and in the forms is comming fromthe database. when i select a navigation link to database of a form it is connecting to database. so im manually refreshing the refresh button of I.E. which is big headache. so is there any way to refresh my current table or form dynamically at run time to retrieve from database

Refreshing a connection to Database means re establishing your connection each time.It will be load for the DB to load the data every time generally not advisable to do.
Inorder to get the value from the DB you have load the driver and connect it using fireplug with the view for navigations.

When getting information from SLD, should SMSY create a system for EP?
I've connected my EP NW2004s system ES3 to the SLD. I connected Solution Manager 4.0 to SLD so that SMSY can get information from the SLD. When I run the import, I see:
1. ES3's server sapeps03 created under SMSY Landscape Component ->Server.
2. ES3 's database ES3 created under SMSY Landscape Component-> Database.
3. ES3 Java component entry created under SMSY Landscape Component->System Components->Java System.
BUT, I don't see an ES3 entry under SMSY Landscape Component->Systems->SAP Netweaver. Shouldn't there be? Do I have to create this manually?
The ECC 5.0 system RS3 got created under SMSY Landscape Component->Systems->SAP ECC. Why not the EP system?

the SMSY transaction had a lot of issues resolving the appropriate Java product with older versions of Solution Manager. For instance, you can take a look at the SAP Note 1392992.
Newer versions of Solution Manager (currently on SP24) resolve most of the issues. The portal is certainly detected successfully.

Forms 9i: How get image from database?
Hi!
I want to get a image (GIF,JPG, TIFF, etc.) that is stored in database table (as blob) in Image_Item (No Database Block) by Trigger (PL/SQL) way.
In a Block that is database=yes It's OK, the Query do this in automatic.
I know that "select column into block_item from db_table" is not possible.
Thanks!I have a multi-row block for entry data, so was thinking in a image item (No Database) in the same block for show a GIF when the user entry one code; then I will not need any thing more for show the correct GIF in each row when the user scroll them.
The other way, if I create one block-image_item for each row that is displaying; then I need create a Procedure por Syncronize the data row with the GIF; this mean a lot re-quering when the user is scrolling the rows. This is the reason I searching one Instruccion equivalent to read_image_file (but in place Operating System from database) or dbms_lob.read( ... ) but the target must be a block image item.

Getting response from Database by sending in parameters
Hi,
I am providing parameter which supplies string values to query the database using adapter. I can see the invoke activity sending the string value to the database, but respnse message does not contain anthing.
Can someone please tell me how to retrieve records from database by suplying parmeter value?

use a simple stored procedure or pl/sql function and specify the input and output parameters. We can send any no of parameters to a function and a function can able to return a value. so you can achieve your requirement using pl/sql functions. Learn about that more.
when you will define ParterLink (using DBAdapter browing databse to select your function ), you shud be able to view one OUT parameter with datatype what you have mentioned earlier in pl/sql function. When you define Invoke for that Parterlink, you should get Invoke Output variable with output variable (having name of that function.)
If you cannot browse the function in your DB Adapter, just make sure that the user you have defined in DB Adapter has enough privileges to access that function.

Bridge CS4 Not enough room on destination disk, when Getting Photos from Camera
When trying to "Get Photos from Camera" after the 2nd or 3rd photo has been moved to folders I receive a box that states:
The backup destination folder is low on disk space, and could not obtain all files from the device. (which is a compact flash card) Please select a different folder or cleanup disk space and try again.
Please note there is plenty of space available on both drives that the photos are being saved to.Mike

I use Downloader on a daily base and don't have troubles with it. And yes it is not a very brilliant piece of software but it does work.
I would suggest that you go to the user library/ preferences and in here find the downloader plist file. drag this to the trash, restart photodownloader (now at factory settings, you need to reset it again to your wishes) and try again.

in an other thread Scott showed an other application for image ingestion. It looks very great but you need to pay a small fee for it :-)

Borders are not appearing when null coming from database
Hello all,
Right now i am working on a report where i am getting data from stored procedure(sql server). The report is having 15 columns so i have created like multi line report and applied borders to each item. so the report look like a table. But the problem is there are some columns whose values in database are null. Beacuse there is no data coming from db these borders are not appearing on report.
I know that we can write a formula in crystal by isnull function to get these borders. But want to do everthing on the stored procedures. Please help me on this.

RamConvert the null to 0 or " " using formula before placing it to the table/cross tab. This might helps.
Nevermind because you know the above solution.
You can do one more thing too, if you are not applying any calculations like runing total to any of the column from those 15 column, place each of column in either tax-box (if numeric, covert it to text) or just use the box and lines to draw the table and expand the box and lines till end of group footer.
