Lost tomtom app on my iPhone 4s

Lost tomtom app on iPhone after deleting it by mistake

You should be able to install it again either by 1) connecting your phone to iTunes on your computer and selecting the app to be reinstalled and then sync or 2) by opening the App Store on your phone then tap Updates at lower right then tap Purchased at the top and then scroll to the app you want to reinstall and tap the cloud with down arrow icon beside that app.

  • Two TomTom apps on one iPhone

I was wondering what will happen if for:
    1. I have purchased TomTom Eastern Europe app and now I need do go to Spain (map not included in Eastern Europe app)
    2. I have two options: buy TomTom Europe or buy TomTom WesternEurope.
    3. Let's assume I pick the second one.
So I end with two applications TomTom Eastern Europe and TomTom Western Europe installed on one iPhone. And I want to have a route from Warsaw to Madrid ...
What will happen? Will TomTom app recognize that I have both maps installed and will gibe me one unique route in one app? Or I will be forced to split my route between them? Anyone have tried it?

You need to Add the songs into iTunes.

  • Use of TomTom app on iPhone 4s without cellular network

I want to use the TomTom App when the iPhone is in airplane mode (or is there any other way to interfere with the network - without removing the sim).
This because I have a special carphone with dualsim and for correct use the iPhone must be switched off from the network. Then TomTom app states: "bad GPS connection". Is there a way to avoid that? Bluetooth can be switched on in airplane mode, so a mobile GPS receiver could be connected. But will the iPhone put the signal through is the question?
    Thx!

    Thx for replying.
Disabling the carphone is of course an option, but
I've an BMW with an integrated phone en audio system with an adapter for the iPhone as a music carrier. So the music on the iPhone can played on the carsystem and also the TomTom instruction can be heard over the speakers. So, disabling the carphone forces me to get a bluetooth kind of system for the iPhone. That is last resort but possible indeed.
    Anyone?

  • I tried to upgrade my TomTom all on my iPhone 4S and it said 'not enough space' - go to settings. In settings it shows there's plenty of space. What next?

I have tried to upgrade my TomTom app on my iPhone 4S and it failed saying 'Not enough spare space - manage your space in settings.' When I looked in Settings it shows there's plenty of spare space. The bloke at the Apple Store was baffled..... and said I needed an appt. at Apple. "Go and join the queue." When I got to the front of the queue another bloke said "There are no appointments available. You have to book one over there online...". When I went over there and tried to book one, it said "you can't book an appt until you've spoken to the Help Dept." And gave me a number. I phoned the help line and a machine said "We're all busy."
    Any ideas?

Hi, When you download, a big app udate like Tom Tom The other Tom Tom maps will be still on iphone until new update is complete That i why you need a lot of space until old updates Delete. • Updated TomTom app wont sync

    Hi,
I have the TomTom app on my iPhone 4, but I cant update it directly from the device because I dont have enough space (1.46GB and the app is 1.8GB, but from reading around it needs a lot more than that temporarily while the app is updated).
I thought I would try to be smart by downloading the update in iTunes on the PC and then syncing it to the phone. The update did download OK but when I tried to sync iTunes with my iPhone, I got the message on the phone saying "1 item could not be synced. See iTunes for more information" and of course, there is no information whatsoever in iTunes. From reading around, it seems like iTunes doesnt keep a sync log file.
Now, my app looks like this:
and when I tap on it, it just says "Waiting..." forever... Any suggestions on how to get out of this? I dont really want to delete the app from the phone because I dont want to lose all the app settings (favorites, POI, etc...).
    Many thanks in advance,
    Arnaud
PS: apologies for the spelling mistakes, but the apostrophe key on my keyboard doesnt work anymore.
PPS: using the latest version of iTunes and iOS

    To start
try in iTunes unselecting sufficient music or whatever to allow a sync leaving plenty of space
to instal TT and then try again
I normally always update sat nav via iTunes on my 4 rather than over wifi
My recent update was only c 340 mb though UK and Ireland

  • TomTom App update and subscription renewal mechanics?

    Hello Apple Community,
I have bought almost one year ago the TomTom app for my iPhone. Before buying TomTom for iPhone I used the normal TomTom hardware and I remember that to update my maps I had to connect it to my PC and that every year I had to pay the regular subscription to keep receiving new maps.
    My questions are pretty simple:
    1) am I correct supposing that new maps (when available) are automatically updated along with the software whenever I update it on App Store?
    2) am I correct supposing that I have to go to TomTom every year to keep paying my subscription or during App Store updates they will keep updating the software but stop updating my maps?
Is it like this that TomTom for iPhone works or I got it all wrong? If I got it all wrong could somebody explain to me the mechanics of TomTom on iPhone?
    Thanks for your help
    Best regards
    Marco

  • Favourites lost when updating TomTom app

I have a 16GB iPhone 4 with about 650MB of storage. TomTom released a new version of their app this week, and in order to update the app, I first sync'ed and backed up my iPhone with iTunes. I then downloaded the update in iTunes before trying to sync again. The app didn't sync, probably because of lack of storage on the iPhone, so I deleted the app from the phone and re-sync'ed. The updated app sync'ed correctly after that, but I lost all of my favourites and app settings in the process. I contacted TomTom support about this and there's no way to retrieve them, they're essentially washing their hands off the problem, saying it's an Apple issue.
I can restore my iPhone using the back up I did before deleting the app, but that doesn't really help me in updating the app. Does anybody know whether it's possible to export the favourites from the app, and re-import them after deleting the app and installing the updated version?
Note: I don't want to delete my music and put it back after updating the app. Updating to iOS 7 was a disaster, resulting in my music not sync'ing properly. I could never fix it using iTunes and in the end, I had to use CopyTransManager to manually copy the albums one by one. It took me almost 2 months of manually copying songs from computer to iPhone to get my music back as it was prior to updating to iOS 7 (minus a few albums for which I didn't have enough space), so I am not touching it again ever! (I don't sync it through iTunes anymore).

Well, it looks like I can't restore the backup either because "there's not enough storage"
Anyway, I browsed through various internet forums and found a solution:
With iPhone Backup Extractor, I extracted mapsettings.cfg from my last manual backup (to my PC), which I did before deleting the TomTom app and installting the updated version. You need to go in "Expert Mode" to Application\com.tomtom.WEurope\Documents\Western_Europe.
Once you have found it, click "Extract" and save it somewhere on your PC.
Now, using iExplorer, I copied the file to the corresponding location on my iPhone (Apps\W. Europe\Documents\Western_Europe)
Launched TomTom on my iPhone et voila! My favourites are all there and I am running the latest version of the app.
Don't know why Apple/TomTo, have to make it so hard...

  • HT201269 I thought I had a problem after my iPhone suddenly lost an app, I restored from a back up and am now missing some apps. They appear on my I tunes page and say 'open' in the app store, but aren't on the phone. Help,

I was using my iPhone and 'lost' an app. I restored my phone from an earlier backup, but now can't see some of my apps. They are shown as being on the phone in both iTunes and the app store, but clearly aren't on the phone.
    Where have I gone wrong.

The App store is a iOS function and cannot be deleted. Try checking other home screens/folders and see if you can locate it. If not, go into Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

If you are saying that after signing into iCloud it is telling you device is not found, it could be for any number of reasons. If the battery is dead, if the SIM has been removed, or if someone else has the phone and they have restored it, it will not be shown. Also, if you located it once and then sent a remote wipe, it disables the abililty to locate the phone with Find My iPhone.

  • HT1420 I don't know how to download my old apps from my lost iPod to my new iPhone? Please help!

Ok here's the thing, I used to have the 4th generation iPod until I lost it in October. And I had purchased a bunch of apps on it and stuff.
But now I have this iPhone 4, which my friend just gave me, in which I want to transfer all my other apps into. I've looked into my iTunes account and can't find them. I've authorized my computer and I don't know what to do.
Please help me! Thanks in advance.

If you are logged in with the same account, and they are still in the store, then you should be able to re download them via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes Store home page on your computers's iTunes, and via the Puchased tab in the App Store app on your iPhone.
