LOV in a Navigation

Is it possible to use LOV in a navigation region to navigate in a specific page

Are you trying to have the drop-down contain links to page anchors? Here's some possible help:
Re: HTML DB - Anchor Tag
One thing to consider: If your pages are extremely long, the users spend more time navigating the page than using the app, ie. productivity goes down. You might consider making individual pages for things since it is nearly the same as using anchors. Also, the more stuff your page has on it, the longer it will take to load.

  • Input Combobox LOV as a Navigation List?

    Hi OTN,
    when I drag a datasource on a page and drop it as "Navigation - Navigation List" a selectOneChoice is created.
    Is there an opportunity to use Input Combobox List of Value as a navigation list? I would really like to use its search and MRU ability.
    I tried to drop an attribute as an Input Combobox LOV and change ListOperMode to "navigation" in Bindings - but I get NPE in oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.config.rich.RegistrationConfigurator
    (BEA-000000).
    Thanks.

  • ESYU: R12 - OM 화면에서 Item LOV를 control 하는 parameter나 Profile?

    Purpose
    R12의 Sales Order find 화면의 Item LOV를 control 하는 parameter나
    Profile은 무엇인지 알아본다.
    Solution
    R12에서는 System Parameter에 있는 'Item Validation Org' 값이 Item LOV
    값을 control 한다.
    Navigation:
    1. Using Order Management Super User responsibility
    2. Setup > System Parameters > Values
    For example:
    Item LOV는 default Operating Unit(MO: Default Operating Unit)과 묶인
    Item Validation Org를 기본으로 한 item을 보여준다.
    같은 logic이 또한 Multi-Org Concurrent Program pararmeter window의 Item
    LOV에도 적용된다.

  • DataBinding for a JLIST

    I'm looking for a simple databinding for a JList that will allow it to show the values of a ViewObject. My specific problem is that I have a many to many relationship and my user wants to be able to
    1)Select many values from one JList (Available List)
    2)Click a ">" move over button
    3) and populate another JList (Selected List)
    When the user clicks the ">" button I want to insert rows into the Intersection table. My main problem is in the refreshing of the JList to show these new values that should be in the Selected List.
    I have a simple work around to use a single column JTable instead of the JLists.
    Are there no simple databindings for a JList? I've looked at the LOV, Enumeration, and Navigation bindings but none suite my specific need.
    thanks

    Are there no simple databindings for a JList? I've looked at the LOV, Enumeration, and Navigation bindings but none suite my specific need. There's no support for multiple selection list binding. However if you do not want any targets to be updated you could use lov binding with 'no attributes selected in the source/target attribute mappings". Only select the display attributes. In affect you're saying use this Attribute(s) from this VO to fill in this list. You'd then have to modify the list selection model to allow multiple selection and then perform your own manipulation on the arrow button. On the selected side however, your list is filled in with data from selection and Swing allows you to insert such data into listbox. However there's no support built-in to take that and create 'rows' in a VO. You'd have to program such an implementation using basic Swing/JList/ListModel functionality.

  • Google or  Revolution ?

    I have had my Revolution since June, and have had most of the issues mentioned. I had it replaced and several resets. I thought I did the research to get the phone with the features I needed, but I believed that the sales people in the store were experts, but they weren't , so now I am stuck with a phone that does not do the two most important things that I wanted; Navigation and sync with my Uconnect in the car.
    I downloaded the Google Maps and Navigation as I was instructed my the salesman in the store, and at first it worked fine. It would freeze sometimes during a Navigation, but then continue. Now it is all but useless. During Navigation, the screen freezes, sometimes goes black in sections, completely shuts down,or turns itself on an off. I have to remove the battery and put it back to get it to work. This is extremely UNSAFE if you are driving and trying to find your way. The question I have is if other people are having this issue? Is it Google or the phone? Is there another navigation app that is better?. I love the VZ Navigator, but do not think I should have to pay another $10 per month! Is Verizon messing with my navigation so they can get more money?

    I have a few friends who have the revolution, and there phone has been buggy in general. One of my friends could never use Google maps without the phone crashing. He did a few factory resets, and now it seems to work just fine for GPS. One thing that we noticed was if he had a lot of programs running in the backround it would increase the chance of a crash.

  • LOV button navigation in multi row block

    We have two fields in a multirow block, Role Type and Parent Role Type(which is a LOV button). When the current row selector is on a Role Type row all Parent Role Type LOV buttons for all the rows change only the current selected row. With Designer we set Keyboard/Mouse navigable properties to Yes(in the OLB) which fixed it but with Headstart these properties do not fix this problem. Any info and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Ok, now I understand.
    Unfortunately, you have run into some standard forms behavior that doesn't work the way you want it to. The LOV button is not navigable, because your cursor needs to be sitting in the data item when the call to the LOV is made. Since this button is not navigable, the cursor will not move to the current record when you press the button. (Actually, the button is identical on each record.)
    Possible solutions:
    1 - use only 1 button in an overflow below. (Create your own action item instead of using the LOV button preference.)
    2 - don't use a button at all. (Headstart provides the LOV toolbar button.
    3 - Try generating the lov as a poplist. (See Oracle Designer online help).
    4 - Use the new Oracle Look and Feel (available only on the web) to create a button in the field ('...').

  • Use of LOV versus selectOneChoice components in page navigation.

    We will have several applications that our customers will be able to access. The list of applications is stored in a table. I would like to display the list of applications for the customer to choose which one they want.
    When I use a selectOneChoice, the selected value only has the display string. I cannot find a way to access the value.
    When I try to use an LOV, it wants me to bind it to an Server List Binding. I don't want to use this in another view object, I just want to display it on the page.
    Am I even thinking in the right ballpark? I have the selectOneChoice bound to a view object in my application module, and I thought I would be able to access all the attributes in that view object through the selected item in the selectOneChoice item. However, so far I've only learned how to access the display string.
    I appreciate all help, I've been working hard to learn this ADF stuff, what I've seen is very nice.

    Here is my binding.
    <list IterBinding="WapAvailableSitesViewObj1Iterator"
          ListOperMode="navigation" ListIter="WapAvailableSitesViewObj1Iterator"
          id="WapAvailableSitesViewObj1" DTSupportsMRU="true">
      <AttrNames>
        <Item Value="Selfservicesitemeaning"/>
      </AttrNames>
    </list>Here is my selectOneChoice
    <af:selectOneChoice value="#{bindings.WapAvailableSitesViewObj1.inputValue}"
                        required="#{bindings.WapAvailableSitesViewObj1.hints.mandatory}"
                        shortDesc="#{bindings.WapAvailableSitesViewObj1.hints.tooltip}"
                        id="soc2"
                        binding="#{backingBeanScope.EmployerBean.webAccessPermissions}"
                        label="Site"
                        inlineStyle="text-align:right;" autoSubmit="true"
                        valueChangeListener="#{backingBeanScope.EmployerBean.siteSelectionChanged}">
      <f:selectItems value="#{bindings.WapAvailableSitesViewObj1.items}"
                     id="si2"/>
    </af:selectOneChoice>And here is my change event listener
      public void siteSelectionChanged(ValueChangeEvent valueChangeEvent)
        System.out.println("in change listener");
        this.setValueToEL("#{bindings.WapAvailableSitesViewObj1.inputValue}", valueChangeEvent.getNewValue()); //Updates the model
        System.out.println("\n******** Selected Value: "+resolveExpression("#{bindings.WapAvailableSitesViewObj1.attributeValue}"));
        System.out.println("\n******** Display Value: "+resolveExpression("#{bindings.WapAvailableSitesViewObj1.selectedValue ne ' ' ? bindings.WapAvailableSitesViewObj1.selectedValue.attributeValues[1] : ''}"));
    public Object resolveExpression(String el) {
        FacesContext facesContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
        ELContext elContext = facesContext.getELContext();
        ExpressionFactory expressionFactory =  facesContext.getApplication().getExpressionFactory();
        ValueExpression valueExp = expressionFactory.createValueExpression(elContext,el,Object.class);
        return valueExp.getValue(elContext);
    public void setValueToEL(String el, Object val) {
        FacesContext facesContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
        ELContext elContext = facesContext.getELContext();
        ExpressionFactory expressionFactory =   facesContext.getApplication().getExpressionFactory();
        ValueExpression exp = expressionFactory.createValueExpression(elContext, el, Object.class);
        exp.setValue(elContext, val);
      }The line that displays the "Selected Value" works fine, and returns the String that is the display value on the selectOneChoice. However, the second line shows the error I provided earlier.
    I am thinking that I am trying to use the component for something it wasn't intended for. I am not using it for a display in a table or form, and every time I try to use a model driven list it wants me to provide a server list.
    Thanks for your help, but since I have this working sufficiently, I am going to leave this question for now.
    Thank you

  • How to implement non linear navigation Date LOV

    Hi,
    I have a requirement like I need to show non linear combo LOV in my UI which allows the user to navigate to next or previous item in the list.
    Any help on this or do we have any inbuilt design pattern for this component.
    I am using Jdev 11.1.1.7.0.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Dileep.

    Hi Frank,
    Thank you so much for your reply. Sorry, I am not able to attach that component image here.
    Actually it looks like normal combo box LOV, additionally it has two navigation icons both the sides (both left and right hand side) of combo box and allow the user to navigate to previous or next item in the list of values available in the combo box.
    I am not sure whether it is fusion specific custom component or adf component. Any help on this?
    Many thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Dileep.

  • HTMLDB 1.6 Popup LOV navigation not working

    Hi all,
    I've recently migrated from 1.5 to 1.6.
    The pop-up LOV's navigation buttons (ie: Next) do not work. I click them but nothing happens. Any ideas?
    This happens regardless of the query used...
    Thanks...

    Thanks! That did solve the problem;
    The problem resides in the Popup LOV template. Under the field "Next button text" the default value is Next &gt(ampersandgt) <-- substitution is occuring on the screen);
    And "Prev Button text" value is &lt(ampersandlt); Previous
    If you remove the "&lt" or "&gt" from each of these the pagination works properly.
    I decided to look into a different template, my template was Template 3, business look. I checked out Template 9 and it used a different value "< Previous" I pasted this into my template and it worked. Looks like the "& gt or lt substitution " conflicts here...

  • Bug Report: Navigation Bar Subscription Popup LOV

    Hi,
    it looks like that the popup LOV for the "Reference Master Navigation Bar From      List of Values" property of an navigation bar, just shows the name of the navigation bar if the "Icon Image Alt" is filled out. But actually the "Icon Subtext" is the required property for an navigation bar if it's text only.

  • Jcombobox used for both LOV as well as navigating row set

    Hello,
    I'm trying to achieve the functionality where a JCombobox can have both JULOVClientBinding and JUNaviationBinding... If I set both the combobox with both the models I get a BC4J JBO-34004 exception.
    The tried just setting up the combox with just the JUNavigationBinding and listen to listenselection events.
    to perform the lov functinality.
    But it turn out I get the event before the JUNavigation binding has had a chance to move the cursor...so I get the wrong row's data in the view object.
    Any ideas on how I may go about achieving this functinality?

    These bindings are designed to work independently and not in conjunction in one control!
    You may want to provide more details on your usecase so that we may provide suggestions.
    One could be to bind using Lov binding and then use the list itemChanged event to also perform navigation.
