Low Voltage and Audio (AC97) Lost in Game

Hi, someone please help me. i have search the forum with no luck.
i have installed the monitoring software provided with the msi cd and during gameplay, the alarm goes off in win98 (i don't play game in xp). the voltage (most of it) falls below the normal level. the 3.3v fall to around 2.8v. sometimes, the pc just went off without warning. is it the psu problem? how to check? is it harmful if i keep using my pc ignoring the alarm? are there any other reason for the voltage to drop other than faulty psu? fyi, i have 350w psu with 2 hdd, 1 cdrw, 1 fdd, 1 agp, 1 pci, 1 thumb drive in use and 1 casing fan.
another problem, my audio come and go in most game. it all started after i install directx9. i try directx9b but the problem still there. my sound driver is up to date (v3.59). i think it has nothing to do with psu problem bcoz this problem exist long b4 the low voltage problem. last time, i reinstall everything and use only directx8.1 to solve this. i don want to do this now. i found similar problem in this forum but there are no conclusion. anyone know how to solve this? or maybe i can downgrade directx9 to diretx8.1?

12V/18A. it is cheap, so it might not be the best psu. i play all kind of games in 98. just don't want to mess up with game in xp. when it happen like my sound problem, i reinstalled everything. if i use xp to play games, there would a lot to do.
i had installed mbm 5 and here is the lowest/highest voltage recorded. 2.66/2.96 4.81/4.87 11.19/11.55.
Anyway, the sound problem seem ok after i change something in bios. something in ram timing. i set from auto to manual without knowing the function. what dhould i set for the best setting for this timing?

Combining Separate Video and Audio tracks

Hi, what's the best way to combine a video and audio tracks into a single file? We will be given the video and audio from 13 volleyball games, and each game will be coming as a file.mpg (mpeg2) video and an mp3 file.
We're looking for a way to either manually bring it in, or bulk automate a way of combining the two tracks for each game to have one file that is in a format that doesn't need to be rendered in FCP.

Not if they're form separate devices or in different codecs. the MPEG2 files are the big problem, next time, have your people shoot conventional DV and use the audio interface to bring in a feed from your announce booth or radio station or whatever so it's in sync.

A88XM-E45 poor XMP support, low vram voltage, and always freezing?

When I load an XMP profile the board doesnt change all the setting as it should? Also when set to 1.65v (or auto) the board only provides 1.58-1.61v to the ram.
Also I have a problem where the system is "freezing" randomly. During youtube videos it will become unresponsive and audio will slow down so it takes about 30 seconds to play 1 second of audio. After a minute or two of this the system will go back to normal speed.
Current system setup:
Win7-64
Coolermaster 500w
A88XM-E45
A10 7850K (50c loaded, Hyper 212 heatsink)
2x4gb GSkill 2400C10 (@1600 11,11,11 due to broken XMP reading and low voltage, have also tested with 2x4gb Mushkin 1600mhz 1.5v)
EVGA 750 Ti (installed just recently, same issue when using APU only)
About the only thing I havent tried yet is changing the realtek audio drivers. I would prefer not to order new ram as I dont think it is the issue, but I am running out of things to try.

I have the same issue with the 88XM Gaming mother board. The BIOS does not correctly update the memory timings with the ones which is a) reported by the very same bios, b) is printed on the side of the memory cards and c) is listed by CPU-Z.
This seems to be a problem with MSI and their poor testing methods. After having the issue for a the fist few weeks of use, I went on Newegg and purchased memory that was approved by MSI for my board and BIOS version.
Unfortunately, it had the same problem and it wasn't until later that I discovered the Timings are set incorrectly. Now that I manually changed the memory timings to those specified by the XMP profile, I do not have any more issues with the memory. Although I now have 16GB of 2400 DDR3 RAM I can't use because it doesn't match my "new" memory. :(

Hi there,
You're running an old version of Safari. Before troubleshooting, try updating it to the latest version: 6.0. You can do this by clicking the Apple logo in the top left, then clicking Software update.
You can also update to the latest version of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, from the Mac App Store for $19.99, which will automatically install Safari 6 as well, but this isn't essential, only reccomended.

Audio is VERY low with and without headphones even after being turned up! :(

Ok, so I have a Satellie A105-S361 Toshiba laptop with Windows XP that recently got repaired and it works splendidly, but the other night I discovered that when I tried to listen to audio, the sound was so low that it was difficult to hear. So I turned up the volume in the Volume Control window and tried again, no change. So then I tried plugging in my headphones to see if I could hear anything, still no change. So you can hardly hear the sound through the speakers or any headphones. Turning up the volume doesn't help, and its really starting to get a little frustrating.

First, check the pesky manual volume dial, it's on the front of the computer, on the very right, kind of tucked under so it's a bit difficult to see.
Then check the "Sounds and Audio Devices" control panel.
There's the "Device Volume" slider, and also look under the "Speaker Volume..." button for another volume slider.
Also, click on"Advanced..." and there should be a mixer that pops up, and you can adjust more items there.

For example, i bought the game "Dungeon Hunter 2" from the App store, but i deleted it and i reinstalled it some days ago and i saw i have lost my save and i need to restart the game, but since this event, i backup my iPod, and i want to know if iTunes backed-up my old game, with my more advanced progression save, or if it backed-up Dungeon Hunter 2 as new game ?

No audio in calls, but games and other apps are fine?

I recently bought myself an iphone 4s, its running the latest firmware.
When i make and recieve calls.. I cant hear the person on the other line and they cant hear me... But when i use apps such as skype, the mic and speaker works fine, in games the sound works fine, when using siri the mic works fine.
Everything works as it should, its just when making and recieving calls.. any ideas? anyone heard of this happening before or experienced it?
Ive tried restoring the phone and re installing the firmware and setting up as a new phone but ive still had no luck.

HD6850 Cyclone OC high GPU use on idle, low FPS and stutter in games

Hello,
Sometime in November I got myself a new graphics card, an MSI 6850 (this one). Beforehand I'd been using an HD4770 for several years with no problems at all.
It ran pretty perfectly for about a month and then I started getting graphics issues with Battlefield 3. Before the problems started I was regularly getting 30-40FPS at 1920x1080 and most things on High. When the issues start I seem to get 5-15FPS regardless of the resolution or quality settings, and sometimes parts of the game don't render at all (the gun doesn't render or other players don't render for a few moments and then just appear out of nowhere). I get similar problems with X3: Albion Prelude. The other tell-tale issue is that if I try to watch a DVD or live TV using Windows media centre the video is laggy and stuttery. Everything else with the machine (like sound) is fine.
What I've noticed is that if I use MSI Afterburner to keep an eye on the GPU that even basic things cause a spike in the % GPU usage. If I load media centre the % GPU usage quickly hits 100% and hovers around there. The GPU temperature stays around 45-50°C with the fan speed at 50%, so this isn't an overheating issue.
I'm using the latest Catalyst drivers, but it happened with the last version as well. A couple of times I've tried to uninstall them and reinstall them but that seems to kill the drivers in the process: the screen turns mainly black with a few sprays of colour and windows half render. If I load the machine up in safe mode at that point everything looks normal, so it seems to be a driver problem. If I try to uninstall the drivers in Safe mode via the Catalyst uninstall option it tells me that it fails to load the detection driver and the only thing in the list of installed components is one of the Microsoft C++ redistributables.
I've tried reformatting my machine and reinstalling Windows, doing clean installs of the drivers (with Driver Sweeper) and reinstalling the drivers onto a HDD instead of the SSD the OS is on. The issues just comes back after a day or two of usage.
The only odd thing I've been able to find is that DXDiag reports the card as having 2803MB of memory even though it is supposed to be a 1024MB card. I've not overclocked the card or any other part of my machine.
Small edit: if I take the HD6850 out and replace it with my old HD4770, the HD4770 doesn't have any of these problems. If I put the HD6850 back in the problems return.
If anyone has any ideas why this is happening I'd really love to hear them, it's driving me nuts.

I do not know what exactly I have to do, because if informed a new payment method continues with the same problem, checked the card bill and really had given an error, because there was no billed the game. I ask you to verify what happened and explain to me what I need to do, because my single card is Visa's and do not intend to return others to use the services of the App Store.

I sent a FCP project to soundtrack pro, but all fade in and out are lost. Only crossovers between 2 clips remain. Is it a limitation of the "send to multitrack project" function ?

Same problem here. Tried to solve it by making an OMF export in FCP and importing it into STP: same problem. One of the many bugs. We have to wait some more versions before this promising application works on a pro level.

Video and audio not synchrone with apple tv after update mountian lion on macbook pro

i have a problem with my apple tv. after i bought and instaled mountain lion on my mac book pro i have trouble with apple tv and my laptop. when my laptop conects with apple tv most of the time my wifi doesnt work on my macbook but on my apple tv it stil does work. when it does work and i play a movie of my own by using itunes the first second the video and audio is synchrone but after that audio is at normal speed but the video gets behind. and i am getting sick of it. does sumbody reconize the problem and can help me with this problem?????

Same issue here- I can airplay my amazon prime library just fine from my iphone 5 but on my macbook- (mavericks, 15 inch 2013 retina with quad core i7, nvidia 650 M and SSD) it just sputters and lags.
I have noticed web video is considerably worse than local content, giving me pauses of up to 2 or 3 seconds in which video stops but audio continues in the amazon player. Youku video, however, seems relatively stable. Our subscription speed is 25 mbps, so that should be plenty to stream SD video from Amazon and doesn't account for why it would be nice and stable from the iphone, but not the mbp.
Playing light, locally hosted steam sidescrollers like Limbo is better but gives periodic drops in framerate on the Tv. when mirroring the framerate remains steady on the MBP screen.
Games airplayed from my iphone seem relatively stable, though with a noticably lower framerate on the TV than on the phone.
It seems these issues have abated considerably since yesterday's Apple TV update, but are still curious nonetheless and I'm not sure that the update yesterday was specifically meant to address those issues or if I'm just getting a time with less network interference now.
Comcast recently installed a new router/modem/phone combo, replacing our old separate modem and router setup. I'm going to test if putting the network on a different channel helps.
