LOWERCASE

Hi I have a characteristic "ZCOMPANY" and its data contains lowercase letters. I choose lowercase options in the GENERAL tab it accepts data and everything is fine. I am trying to use the routine (TOUPPER) and do not choose lowercase option in GENERAL tab. If I do so, I get follwoing error (from details tab):
(GREEN): Processing (data packet) : Everything OK
(here I have all GREEN  for transfer rules, update rules)
(RED): Subseq. processing (messages): Errors occured
(GREEN): Activation of data records from ODS object XXX started
(RED)    : Value 'Even'  (hex:41637....) of characteristic PUBLISHER contains invalid chara
(RED): Activation of data records from ODS object xxx terminated
(RED): Error getting SID for ODS object XXX
I have selected, automatic update of data in my ODS settings.
One more thing, even in Simulation (after preview) I can not see the data converting into upper case (as I mentioned before,I am using TOUPPER routine)
Any ideas ...
Thanks in advacne.

Hi,
You can try to put this code in your transfer rules (in mapping yor ZCOMPANY field).
  DATA v_text TYPE string.
  v_text =  TRAN_STRUCTURE-/BIC/ZCOMPANY.
  TRANSLATE v_text TO UPPER CASE.
  RESULT =  v_text .
You can watch the variable "v_text" in your debugging mode to see the data changing to UPPER case and moving it's value to your result (ZCOMPANY field).
Assign points if this helps.

  • Generate lowercase XML tags

    Hi,
In my PL/SQL procedures, I generate XML files based on SQL queries, like this:
    SELECT XMLELEMENT ("web_vpreparations",
    XMLAGG(
    XMLELEMENT ("web_vpreparation",
    XMLFOREST (CODE as "code",
    COMMERCIAL_NAME as "commercial_name",
As you can see, I rename my column names to their lower-case equivalents, because the client-side application which processes the XML file expects them to be in lower-case.
I now have a huge view with hundreds of columns and would like to avoid having to rename each one. Is there a chance I can tell the PL/SQL or the SQL to return the XML nodes in lower-case?
Suggestions on the "SQL and PL/SQL" and "XML DB" forums range from using XMLTable (incompatible with 9i, which some of my customers have) to transforming the generated XML via XSLT (I'd rather change the client-side code than add so much extra processing). Also, I see that DBMS_XMLGEN has a function called useLowerCaseTagNames(); but that means dumping XML/SQL for DBMS_XMLGEN, which - according to Ken Atkins' "XML Data Into and Out of Oracle – Using PL/SQL" - is limited in use for "real World" projects.
I'm currently learning PL/SQL, experimenting with all the possibilities, and seeking the best solutions for the long-term (in terms of development time, performance, functionality, support).
I'll appreciate any help on this problem.
    Chris.

Does anyone know if XMLFormat passed to SYS_XMLGEN can convert the tags to lowercase? Its processingIns (processing instructions) parameter seems like it might help, but I'm unable to find a good description/example on the Web...

  • Site Web Analytics Report Showing Users Logged in as Both UPPERCASE and lowercase domains (SP Foundation 2010)

When looking at the Site Analytics Report in SP Foundation 2010, I see that many users (though not all it appears) have been logged under the 'Top Visitors' section as both "DOMAINNAME\username" as well as "domainname\username".  This makes it hard
to get actual counts of hits the visitors have made since they show up in two places on the report.  In my case, I always log in using the same credentials (more recently I have had permissions upgraded so log in is automatic), yet I still see that I
get posted for different usage numbers under the uppercase and lowercase instances.  Does anyone know why this would be occurring?

Even i am facing similar kind of problem. Some of my users are displayed as DomainName\ID while some are displayed as Lastname, Firstname. I think we need to know the location where these reports are stored.

    Hi,
I have a document with some tables and with some letters with lowercase in those tables. The problem is that when I print this document it's printed with those letters with lowercase missing. I've added screenshot of haw it should look and scan of what comes out of the printer.

    Hi MB,
If you had Numbers '09 on your machine, it is now in a folder called iWork '09 inside your Applications folder.
    In Numbers 3, Menu > File > Export to > Numbers '09

  • REgarding licensing issues involvng 'Computername' and the use of UpperCase4 vs Lowercase Letters

Does any one know if it would cause problems for the Office 365 software license to be displayed as licensed to an ALL CAPS name like 'MY-FAVORITE-PC' but the computer itself shows the computer name to be 'my-favorite-pc"?
If it does, which one should I change?  A couple of people here have had this same problem (which usually occurs when they change to using a different PC for their account) I have to Deactivate their Old PC namer and then install the licnse to
their New OC using whatever name it has.
On more than one system, this has resulted in various odd "failure to contact Microsoft server" issues when activating.  The problem continues for 7 days and then their copy of Office starts showing reed warning bards and eventually gets totally
    unusable.
However, if I uninstall the office, deactivate the license, and reinstall it once again, it install just fine and acts ok but invariably at some point, the same thing occurs.
On one of them I noticed the difference in the case of the letters used in the computer name and the license name.  On others I am wondering about various software add ins for Outlook or some other 3rd part application causing the problem.  Whatever
it is, it gets extremely annoying.  Officer 365 apparently must run an activation sequence almost constantly while Office 2010 (and I presume 2013) ran it once and were done with it.
Searching Google I have found too many  possible reasons along with a lot of people who have had the same problems but no one seems to have the 100% solution.   This has only started happening since we switched to Office 365 and only
seems to occur on systems that are changed out to different ones with the same User's 365 Account which is in good standing  and has 5 available licenses of which only one is in use.
In the case of the caps vs lowercase I also wonder if changing the name to CAPS on their PC would create additional problems on its own?

    Hi Questorfla,
For the Office 365 software license issue, I recommend you can post in dedicated Office 365 Forum to get a better response:
    http://community.office365.com/en-us/f/148.aspx
If there is anything else regarding this issue, please feel free to post back.

  • Is there a way to change an existing SCCM 2012 site server intranet FQDN name to lowercase?

Does anyone know if there is a way to change the intranet (not internet) FQDN name of an existing SCCM 2012 site server to all lowercase letters?  You used to be able to do this in SCCM 2007.

I had a problem with WSUS updates not working via SCCM 2012 R2 during an operating system deployment. When examining the c:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log I found the following errors:
WARNING: SendRequest failed with hr = 80072ee2. Proxy List used: <****:8080;****:8080> Bypass List used : <(null)> Auth Schemes used : <>
+ Last proxy send request failed with hr = 0x80072EE2, HTTP status code = 0
WARNING: GetConfig failure, error = 0x80072EE2, soap client error = 5, soap error code = 0, HTTP status code = 200
After a LONG time researching this error I found it was related to the fact we were using a WPAD proxy implementation and apparently this doesnt cope well with uppercase characters for the WSUS server URL. I changed our GPO to be using lowercase lettering
but when examining the WindowsUpdate log again it still showed as being in uppercase. In the end I found that despite what your GPO setting says, this can get over written by the SCCM site server's own published WSUS location. You can check this by entering
    the following command:
    wmic /namespace:"\\root\CCM\SoftwareUpdates\WUAHandler" PATH CCM_UpdateSource
Unfortunatelty in SCCM 2012 there is no GUI way to amend the intranet FQDN used for the WSUS location so I then turned to directly editing the database (which anyone will tell you is not recommended, but by this point i was DESPERATE!).
In the end it solved all my troubles so if anyone finds themselves in this situation, you can fix it by going to the SCCM database and within the table 'WSUSServerLocations', change the WSUSServerName to be in lowercase letters.

  • External hard drive does not switch to lowercase letters

It seems that an external hard drive, when renamed will always be in uppercase letters. Even if I change it to lowercase, when I pull the device out and back in again, the letters change to uppercase again. Is there any way to fix this?

That is because the drive is formatted FAT32 file system.  If you reformat the drive with  for Mac OS Journaled, it will fix the issue.  Make sure you have everything on the external backed up and use Disk Utility.

  • Lowercase first letter in column name of non-interactive report

I have a report from this query:
    SELECT DISTINCT
    v.isotope, v.location,
    v.activity_in_ucuries as "uCi"
    FROM inventory v
    where v.location = 'IN PROCESS'
    and v.activity_in_ucuries > 0
Note 'as "uCi"' - when the report displays the lowercase u is displayed as an uppercase U
In the column attributes , I have set the column heading as lowercase. In the report attributes I have Heading Type set as custom
and the column heading shows lowercase. I have also tried using the a heading type of Column Names. With all of these changes the
report still comes out with an uppercase U.
Is there a way to prevent the automatic set of the first letter to Uppercase or alternatively, force the first letter to lowercase?
    Thanks
    Donna

I am using theme 13. I don't have any experience changing the templates, so the report template has the following in Column Headings:
    <th#ALIGNMENT# id="#COLUMN_HEADER_NAME#" class="t13ReportHeader">#COLUMN_HEADER#</th>
Can I make a change in here to prevent the transformation of the 1st character to uppercase? (I would also love to change the u to mu!)
I do have a test application in theme 3 that seems to preserve whatever case I enter it in...I suppose I can change themes, but I would like to stick with theme 13 if possible.
    Thanks for any additional help.

  • Lowercase first letter in column name of non-interactive report..Again

A couple of days ago a posted a question on how to make the column name in a non-interactive report
come out as lowercase. (original post: Lowercase first letter in column name of non-interactive report
I am using Theme13, which is probably the only theme that forces the first letter
of a column name in a report to uppercase.
Anyway, I received several responses including the answer which I applied to my page.
Then I went back to make the column sortable and that negates the CSS override and
the first letter in the column name is back to uppercase...arrrggghhh!
Are there any further suggestions on how to force this to lowercase with theme 13 and a sortable column?
    Thanks

  • AirPort Express shows lowercase in AirPort Utility

I use an AirPort Express 802.11n (v7.5.2) to extend my wireless network with a Time Capsule 802.11n (2nd Generation / v7.5.2) as a base router. When I enter the 'Logging & Statistics' of my Time Capsule via the AirPort Utility (via: Manual Setup > Advanced > Logs and Statistics > DHCP clients), I found out that only the name (Client ID) of my AirPort Express is changed in only lowercase characters (from Luna into luna), while all the other devices (like my iPad, iPhones, iPods, printers, Apple-TV, etc.) contain their original set of upper- and lowercase characters.
Can someone please explain to me why only the name (Client ID) of the AirPort Express is changed into lowercase?

My airport express is also changed to all lowercase in the DHCP clients list.  ONLY the airport express has this change.  Also for some reason my Airport Express will not use the IP reservation based off of the DHCP client ID.  No idea why this is happening.

  • RoboHelp changes file name to lowercase

I am using RH X5.0.2 (running on Win XP SP2) to import HTML files as topics. The primary layout is Microsoft HTML Help.
The original HTML file names are mixed case, but when the files are imported into RoboHelp, the file names are changed to all lowercase. For example, GL_Audit.htm is changed to gl_audit.htm. This is an issue because the topic title reflects the file name, and I need the topic title to retain the mixed case of the original files.
After I import the file, I have to manually change the topic title. However, RoboHelp does not like it when the title has an underscore. If I change gl_audit to GL_Audit and click OK, the change is not saved. But if I change gl_audit to GLAudit and click Apply, and then change it to GL_Audit, the change is saved.
I am using an existing project that was created by someone else a long time ago. Here are the steps that I am following:
    1. Right-click the destination folder, and then click Import.
    2. At the Import File screen, select the desired file, for example, GL_Audit.htm, and click Open. The file is imported as a topic.
    3. Right-click the topic, and click Properties. Note that the Topic Tile is gl_audit, and the file name is gl_audit.htm.
    4. In the Topic Title field, type GL_Audit, and click OK. Note that the Topic title is still gl_audit, and not GL_Audit.
    5. Open the Topic Properties screen again.
    6. In the Topic Title field, type GLAudit, and click Apply.
    7. In the Topic Title field, enter an underscore between the L and the A so that the topic title is GL_Audit.
    8. Click OK. Not that the topic title is saved as it was typed -- in mixed case.
If I can get RH to import the files without changing the original case, it will not matter that it takes two steps to change the topic title name.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Ashley

    Hi again
Ashley, how are these HTML pages being created? I ask because I performed a small test. While the import process did indeed convert the file name to all lower case, it ignored the Topic Title. However, if I didn't have a Topic Title defined, it did create one that was all lower case.
I'm thinking that whatever tool that was used to create the topics you are importing didn't properly configure a proper Title Tag.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Java.io.File and uppercase/lowercase

    Hello,
I am running into a weird problem with java.io.File on a Windows system. My program needs to validate a path the user entered. Sometimes, the path will contain a directory name that should be uppercase, but which the user entered in lowercase instead, and the <File>.exists() returns true anyways. I know on Windows, on the command line, directory and file names are not case-sensitive, which is probably why it was done that way. But this is causing problems because once the path is (supposedly) validated, it is handed to a Unix program (case-sensitive), and if it's not really valid there, the user has no way of correcting it. Whereas if it were found as invalid in the Java program, I could pop up an error, and the user could correct it.
The bottom line is, is there a way of telling a File object to return false if the path name is not EXACTLY identical, on Windows? Or would I have to check the path myself, without relying on File?
    Thanks in advance,
    J-S

In this case, this is not acceptable, since the files or directories on disk can be in any case. I just need the entered case to be exactly the same as the files.
In other terms, I need File.exists() to return false if the case does not match. I would think there is a way to do this, since internally, the function checks if the operating system is Windows or Unix before doing the comparison, and acts differently in each case...
From http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/api/java/io/File.html (see equals or compareTo method) :
"On UNIX systems, alphabetic case is significant in comparing pathnames; on Win32 systems it is not."
I would like to force the Unix way of doing.
