LSMW program

need to assign different  roles to different users and the role number and user number is here big so need to create the LSMW program to accomplish this work, please let me know step by step procedure to create LSMW script/program to assign mutiple roles to mutiple users (here unique roles, if smae roles goes to all users may be we can use SU10 but different roles to different users, crazy spread sheet)
Lisa

> can you please let me the step by step for LSMW.
Nope, sorry, I'm more of an ECATT person myself but I'm sure if you enter LSMW and tutorial in google you'll get plenty examples. Maybe not exactly for SU10 but once you've grasped the recording concept I'm sure you'll be fine.
Good luck!

  • Creation of  'Transport Request' for an lsmw program.

    Hi all,
I have created an LSMW program, and created a 'Transport Request'(throuh the option : Extras -> Generate Change Request).
But, the Transport Request did not create any Subtask for the 'LSMW program'; Instead The TR has created a listing of 'Table Contents' under 'Object list of request'.
I need to know how i can create a subtask for the LSMW program in the Transport Request. And, in the absence of the subtask(like in my current situation), is it possible to transfer the contents of my LSMW program from my system to another system without suffering any loss of data?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Abhinay.

This is standard behaviour for LSMW transports, no task is created, all relevant table entries reside directly under the transport request. Be aware that always an entire project including all subprojects and objects in being transported.

  • LSMW program to upload the sales order with multiple line items.

    Dear SD and PP Gurus,
I am new to creating LSMW Program.
I want to create a LSMW program to upload the sales order with multiple line items. I have read on SDN that it can be done on two phases. First Create Header Data than line items. IS IT TRUE??, Or
Is there any procedure by which we can load the sales orders with multiple line items in a single run (part).
I want to use Batch process, not a BAPI or IDOC procedure.
I have created a program with
    object 0090
    Method 0000
    Program Name RVINVB10
    Program Type D
Source Structure 1 - For Header and Source Structure 2  for Line Items.
Mapped Field INDET (With Fix Value 1), ORDERTYPE, SALESORG, DISTCHANNEL, DIVISION, CUSTOMER, PONUMBER , DELVDATE, PRCGDATE, PMTTERM
    INCOT1 INCOT2 with Source Structure - 1 and
Field INDENT (With Fix Value 2),  ITEMNO, MATCODE, MATQTY, SUOM, PLANT, BATCH, AMOUNT with Structure-2
than maintained Structure relation ship, field Mapping, Specified Files, Assigned files, Read Data and other process,
At final stage (Start Direct Input program RVINVB10) it is giving a message - Table name not allowed.
Please tell me where I am wrong.
    Thanks in advance.
    DSC

    Dear SD Gurus n Experts,
I have solved the above problem. But there is another problem appearing regarding the date format. Now system generating a message: Date . . is not valid.
While I am using Date: YYYYMMDD format in flat file, which is SAP's Standard Format.
In SDN Link: LSMW upload Sales Order using VA01/VA02     I have found that there are some date fields which are mandatory to filled. Here I have mapped
VDATU - Requested delivery date,  BSTDK - Customer purchase order date,  PRSDT - Date for pricing and exchange rate,  BSTDK_E - Ship-to party's PO date, FKDAT - Billing Date, KORDT - Delivery Date,
and PRGRS - Date type is Constant = D
Can any one tell me, where is the priblem.
    With thanks,
    DSC

  • Where will store the lsmw program means whether local object or package?

need a solution for where will store lsmw program..
    how to see itt.

    it is stored in $tmp
in LSMW click the personal menu button and set a check mark to display program.
so you get new entry in your LSMW menu.
now you can display the program, on top you can see the program name like : /1CADMC/SAP_LSMW_CONV_00000082
copy this program name and execute transaction SE38
    enter the program name
set the radio button to Attributes and click display.

  • Using an LSMW program with dummy recording.

    Hi all,
I am new to lsmw, and i am facing some issues with a program i am working on.
In my current program I created a dummy recording, and bypassed other steps by manually writing my code in the step  'Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion'. I supplied dummy data to all the other steps. When i run the step convert data, the output I get is supposedly redundant because the data generation is already happening in the 'Read Data' step.
Right now I am generating the output data manually through the conversion program generated for the program I wrote in the  step  'Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion'. Essentially the same thing is happening when i run the 'Read Data' step.
is it possible to access the data already generated in the 'Read Data' step in the 'Convert Data' step, instead of generating the data all over again(i am doing just that right now) through the conversion program.
In Short, is there a way to manipulate the data generated in the 'Read Data' step in the 'Convert Data' step.
    Thanks,
    Abhinay

    Hi ,
Read step is to read the data from the input fyou specified. No code or progam , written in " filed mapping and conversion" step is executed during the read data step. It is executed only during the conversion step. You can modify the data read during the read step anyways during the Coversion step by writing your own logic.
    Regards
    Vijay

  • Assining LSMW program to T.code

    Dear all,
Is there any way to convert a specific LSMW programme to T.code so that the user will assign the text file and only have the option of reading the system read data and reading the converted data and the final upload through batch input.
How this functionality can be achieved - is there any provision in SAP to achieve this
    Regards,
    M.M

    T-Code: SCAT
Enter the name of Test case (must start with Z) and record transaction  (TCD).
    Enter transaction code and record.
    Save transaction and end recording.
After that, maintan functions test case (modify), enter constants or maintain field entry. Save and export variants.
Go to - Variants - export.

  • LSMW - Error BDC_INSERT, Transaction code .. is invalid XD01

    Dear all.
I have done the following Steps:
1 - Maintain Object Attributes. Chose the Object type Batch Recording, then created a Record using the name (CLI_PMR). And created the Batch record and then assign the fields name.
2 - Maintain Source Structures – Created the Struture (CLI_PMR1)
3 - Maintain Source Fields – Assign the fields name and length that I used in my program. (CLI_PMR1).
    4 - Maintain Structure Relations – Assign the Struture (CLI_PMR1 to CLI_PMR)
5 - Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion Rules – The normal thing in this point.
6 - Specify Files - Specified the Legacy Data, path for the file.
7 - Generate Read Program – Generated the Program.
8 – Read Data – Executed this Step and every thing is correct
9 - Generate Conversion Program – Generated the program
    10 - Convert Data – Convert data
11 - Display Converted Data – Every thing is fine, with no errors
12 - Create Batch Input Session- At this the error message appears Error BDC_INSERT, Transaction code .. is invalid  time.
At the time we have created other LSMW programs for this T-Code and every thing is OK.
    I'm using the T-CODE=XD01

Hi, I had the same problem in LSMW when generating a batch input for trx IE01. The cause was that there were tab/newline-characters in my text file (some descriptions contained tab-characters). Since I used a tab delimited file, these tabs/newlines in the fields messed up my file.
The excel file contained multiple lines per cell in some description fields. When this was exported to tab delimited text, it contained additional tabs. After checking the contents and removing the tabs/newlines from Excel and performed a new export to txt-file, it was solved.

    HI,
    1) /SAPDMC/SAP_LSMW_INTERFACE
This is program to to schedule LSMW (periodic transfer)in background,  create a variant when you reach frame program in periodic transfer step, then go to SM36 create a job and schdule it and with above program and your variant and release job usng SM37.
    2) Get the log of your job in SM37 transaction once it is finished, you will get all list of sales orders created , just download tem into text file.
    Thanks

  • LSMW Upload vendor master data

I am uploading vendor master data via a batch input in LSMW (program RFBIKR00).
I uploaded all the vendors for 1 company code.
When I try to upload the vendors for another company code, in the step “Create Batch Input Session” I get the error: “Trans. 1 XK01 : Acct already exists; general area not being processed, ... Data in table BLFA1 cannot be processed”.
When I try to manually create a vendor for another company code via tcode XK01, I have no problems. But when I create an existing vendor manually for another company code I don’t have to add the information which is contained in table lfa1.
Therefore I tried to upload the vendor, which has to be created for the company code, with a “/” in the data for table lfa1. But this doesn’t work.
Has somebody a suggestion to solve this problem?
    Thanks

In the similar thread you said:
"If the vendor exists in LFA1 but not LFB1, use XK02 with the structures for LFA1. Then use XK01 with the structures for LFB1."
It is not possible to use XK02 in order to create the vendor for another company code if the vendor already exists with a certain company code. You will get the error "Vendor xxx has not been created for company code yyy".
The problem is that LSMW requires a mapping onto structure LFA1, but when the vendor already exists for a certain company code, LSMW returns in the step "Create Batch Input Session" the error: "Trans. 1 XK01 : Acct already exists; general area not being processed, ... Data in table BLFA1 cannot be processed".

  • How to use pkmc by using lsmw

I have many items their location need to be changed from one to another ,and qty is also need to be changed if needed,so I want to using the automatic method -lsmw, but when I have recorded the steps and save the table to excel version at step 3,it only includes some fields as blow

    WERKS          CHAR     4
    PRVBE          CHAR     10

but as you know ,I at least need the art.no field and two PRVBE to let me input two different locations,
so who knows how to get this table includes GS_SEARCH-VALUE(the art.no),two RMPKR-PRVBE(two supply areas)
or who knows how to using this automatic method to let me change location and qty by batch?
and I also find one BDC_OKCODE is ccy_dbcl ,I think it means double click the art.no to move to the next view, but later when i execute this lsmw program, no action happened except I double-click this art.no manually, why?
how to record the action of double-click in view SAPLMPK_CCY_UI 0110

  • LSMW parent child?

    Hi Everyone ,
In LSMW , Header and Details file specification , If the header file has some records which do not have a corresponding record in the details file ...then Would LSMW program read those records from the header file ? I mean does LSMW reads all records from the parent file even if it doesnt have any child records in the second file ??

hi no it wont do.but keep in mind that you should have an indicator for distinguishing between header and line items. And also create the flags for the same while defining source field........

If you are using the direct input method, you should see a structure for MBEW which you can fill to update the price.
The fields are in structure BMMH1.
