lost a close window and go back option in the file section of my computer

Some menu items are hidden by default and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu.
If you sue Alt+F to open the File menu then you get all items in the File menu. The same applies to the History menu with the Back and Forward items that only appear if you use the keyboard.
You can use one of these methods to open the tab history list:
* Right click on the Back or Forward button
* Hold down the left mouse button on the enabled Back or Forward button until the list opens

I have coded a number of Modal screens called from a main screen. I can't seem to find what allows the windows Close Window icon (X) to close the screen. The user must hit my exit button to leave, and I want to keep that as an option, but also allow the X to close the window and be able to handle it in my User Command module.

Open a pdf or a doc with close window icon

I am opening pdf or doc file in the url which opens up in the browser window. To make it user friendly, we want to put close window icon or button in the browser window.
Note: we are not in favor of using frames as we not using in any pages.

Crashes when running applications from network share - "Windows cannot access the file for one of the following reasons"

Hi,
starting a couple of weeks ago, we get the following error(s) when running applications from a network share. We don't know what causes this, we are not aware of any major changes in our network infrastructure or client/Server configuration. We did upgrade
a lot of machines to Windows 8, but the issue also occurs on older Win7 computers.
We figured out a workaround though: The applications run fine when launching from a FQDN share (like
\\share.domain.Company.com) and only cause problems when running from
\\share directly. They have worked fine for years without FQDN though.
Any ideas?

It sounds like a DNS suffix issue. When this issue occurs, please try to ping share on the client, then check if the corresponding IP address is correct. If the IP address is wrong, please adjust your settings of DNS to make sure that the client can resolve
the share correctly.
If it's very hard to change the settings of the DNS for some reason, as a work around, we can add the entry into the clients' hosts file.

The computer I transfered to had a bunch of files on it and I got full ownership of what was already there, so, how do I get to my iTunes library, I do have access as an administrator to the iTunes library (that works just fine) already there and I guess I must have had a newer version ofiTunes on my defunt eMac....

Tell us some version numbers please, of your Mac OS versions and iTunes versions on both computers (two eMacs yes?).

Just installed windows 7 Ultimate using Boot Camp. Problem is when I chose to boot the windows partition, I get the windows icon on the sreen showing that it is starting, but few second after I get a black screen

Just installed windows 7 Ultimate using Boot Camp. Problem is when I choose to boot the windows partition, I get the windows icon on the screen showing that it is starting, but few second after, I get a blank screen. I suspect a driver (screen) issue, since I also installed Parallell using the boot camp partition and that works fine.
Do anybody out there has an ideal of what to do to solve this issue.

Disabling close 'X' icon in the title bar of JDialog

I found that JDialogs by default come up with the close 'X' icon. The only manipulation that can be done is by setting the DefaultCloseOperation.
Is there some way I can avoid showing that icon on the title bar?
My JDialog already has a 'Close' button and I have written an action listener for it. I dont want to listen to WindowEvents as well.

I can not open gmail attachments on my iPad, the icon for the file is a down arrow.... that only happend on Gmail account

It could be just an issue with the gmail server. I don't know what settings can be made for attatchments there. I generally leave those messages with large attatchments alone and view them on the computer. I was finding that certain large files like .wmv would sometimes take 5 to 10 minutes to open on the iPad.
Yes it's aggrivating, but I don't have that answer either.

Name of files do not appear in the files section

I've been using Adobe Audition 3.0 for three years now and it has been FANTASTIC. (on a 3 year old Dell with the Vista OS).
However, something quirky happened this morning that is frustrating....when I drag an audio file onto my workstation, like I always do, the actual wave appears on my timeline, BUT, the name of the file no longer appears in the files section to the left of the workstation.
I've re-started my compter several times to no avail. Has anybody else ever experienced this problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have an impending deadline due for a large project and this sudden disappearance of file names has rendered my Audition virtually unusable.

There are some buttons right at the bottom of the Files window under the Sort By box that allow you to show or hide different file types. Perhaps one of those has become unclicked.

Audition sometimes freezes when I click the open icon in the files pane

Hi all
I am using Audition CS5.5 under Windows 7 64-bit. I am finding that quite frequently, when I click the "open file" icon in the top left of the files pane, Audition simply freezes -- I don't get an error message; the application is shown to be running as normal in Windows Task Manager, and doesn't have suspiciously high RAM or CPU usage. It just won't do anything further. I have to close it via Task Manager.
I don't have any other files open at the time, but so far this has tended to happen immediately after doing batch processing.
However I haven't been able to identify specific steps to reproduce the issue 100%.
Has anyone else experienced this?

It's very difficult to deal with freeze issues - we really don't have enough info to go on. What you should do is to read this FAQ carefully, and do exactly as it says.

If the file reappears when you (re)start Firefox then you can check that you haven't set an automatic download page as one of the home pages or if there is still a download in progress.
Try to delete the downloads.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.<br />
You can also check for problems with the sessionstore.js file that stores session data from open tabs.
