When I using activex control i.e microsoft forms 2.0 Listbox method "AddItem", LV automatically closed. But it is not happen when I used its property such as "backcolor". Please tell me how to solve this problem

Setting up and using an ActiveX control

Trying to use an ActiveX control I added to my CVI project. I use the ActiveX Controller Wizard to create an ActiveX control. Then I tried using one of the ActiveX control functions but it requires I get an Object Handle. The ActiveX Control Help says I can get the Object Handle by using GetObjHandleFromActiveXCtrl or an ActiveX method or property. I looked through all the functions my ActiveX control has and could not find anything that would get an Object Handle. The GetObjHandleFromActiveXCtrl function requires a panel handle which my project does not have or use. Any suggestions on what to do next?
The ActiveX control I am using is Mint Controls Build 5708 from ABB.

New in ActiveX controls...I cannot help to recreate examples like Media Player (which works perfectly on my PC).
Well I take the first method of"Programming with ActiveX Controls" topic:
From the Tools menu of any LabWindows/CVI window, select Create ActiveX Controller. When you run the wizard in this manner, you need to select the ActiveX server that corresponds to your control.
First I find two "Windows Media Player", which one ? Some trials lead me to the second one, where I retrieve functions names of the example (?).
Next window : I let Instrument Prefix as "MediaPlayer", I browse a target fp file as "wmp" in my project directory, let the default compatibility options.
Next window : I don't change any "Advanced Options", success...
I find a new intrument "Windows Media Player", and 5 files wmp.fp/c/h/sub/obj. OK.
But I want to see the control on a panel : I open my uir, go to "Create/ActiveX", select "create control".
But what about "Validate servers" check box ? Il let it unchecked.
I find "Windows Media Player" (only one) in the list, and the control appears on the panel, but the aspect is different from the example (some property changed?):
If I edit the control, I find a property list that seems different from the example (even if I expand all) :

I insert some lines in my code ("hello.mp3" is in the project directory):

Build OK. But nothing played. Error code from "SetFileName" function = -2147467262, error text : "Cette interface n'est pas prise en charge" something like "this interface is not supported" :

My msata is automatically unmounted when using ExpressCache in W530.

I bought a msata for my W530. After installing the ExpressCache, I ran "eccmd -info" and saw my msata worked as a cache disk just fine. However, when I ran eccmd -info after several hours, it showed my msata was unmounted. I also cannot see my msata disk from Diskmgmt. I restarted my PC, but a error "2101 detection error on hdd2 mini sata " was shown.
Then I reinstalled my msata disk, the error went away, and the ExpressCache ran correctly again. However, the same issue happened again after several hours later. I have to reinstall the msata again, and the issue repeated. My PC recognizes my msata at first but unmounted mysata for some reason after running several hours.
I noticed when I use my msata as a normal disk rather than cache, it worked just fine. I don't know what is the issue. Could you please help me?
My msata: Mushkin Enhanced Atlas Series MKNSSDAT120GB-V mSATA 120GB SATA III
My PC is running the newest BIOS.

I'm having the same issue on a T530, but it can be days before it unmounts itself randomly. Not using the latest bios, win7 x64. Was your issue ever resolved?

Safari keeps closing when I use the spacebar

Safari also scrolls the page up and down with every stroke of the spacebar, and also goes to the previous page when I use the delete button. What's going on?!
I just upgraded to snow leopard so I believe it has something to do with it...

Mavericks showing 3 desktops when I use the mission control

Hi Guys,
I was hoping someone could give me some advice. I have y cintiq plugged into my macbook pro. Everything works fine but when I used mission control it shows I have 3 desktops active. How can I reduce it to 2? Not only is it something I believe should not be there, I also feel it may be eating up memory.
Any advice very appreciated, Thanks.

Ah, I figured it out. As I hovered above a window whilst using the mission control action I noticed an 'x' in the corner of the display I didn't want and closed it. Hope this helps incase anyone had the same enquirey

No longer able to insert ActiveX controls or use existing ActiveX controls in Word documents

Using Word 2010 32bit on Windows 7.1 64bit OS.
I have a document with several ActiveX controls that I use as a template to generate new documents. This morning I installed the monthly roll-out of Windows/MS Office updates and then rebooted. After rebooting, when I opened my Word document,
I could not use the controls.
As far as I can tell, the controls are not disabled in security but are actually not recognized. If I go into Developer Mode and open the Properties from the context menu on one of the ActiveX controls, the Properties dialog opens but shows properties
for the main document and not for the control. If I try to drop a new ActiveX control in a blank document, I get the following message from Microsoft Word: "The program used to create this object is Forms. That program is either not installed
on your computer or it is not responding. To edit this object, install Forms or ensure that any dialog boxes in Forms are closed." I have not been able to find any information on a program called "Forms". Is this some component
of Word that has been corrupted?
I don't think there is any problem with the actual document because I can still open and use it on another machine running Word 2010 (where the latest updates have not been installed).

Among the monthly updates for March 2015 is a series of updates that should correct the problem. Use Windows Update to get them.

Roxio MyDVD Basic v9 installer when I run any ActiveX Control in Excel.

I built a pop up calendar to insert dates. It works perfectly except that the first time I try to run it after opening the spreadsheet, it launches an installer for Roxio MyDVD Basic v9. I always cancel it and the macro still works as intended.
Now, this wouldn't be a big problem if I was the only person using the spreadsheet file. Since I'm distributing this as a template to coworkers, I don't want them to freak out when this happens, so I'd rather just stop it from trying to launch Roxio MyDVD.
I've figured out that it has to do with the Microsoft MonthView Control I used in creating the macro being an ActiveX control. I know this because I can open up a new excel workbook, go to VBA and create a new UserForm. As soon as I place an ActiveX control into the blank UserForm1, the installer for Roxio MyDVD launches. I let it run its course, but it cannot complete the install because the "resources needed are unavailable" on our network. I'd rather not have it run at all. Understandably, our network security is pretty high, and I assume my security settings don't allow it. Since the function I use still works without this installed, I don't get why it keeps reaching out to get it. Nor do I know how to stop it.

Attached is the complete export given by Microsoft System Information. It provides a lot of information and if you need more then let me know.
Luckily, it seems that MsiInstaller has been reporting errors to Windows while it flickers. You'll find these in the system report and they helped me track down the problems. The errors stemed from this:
Detection of product '{518930BE-7875-4547-B026-20B92F695781}', feature 'DataSocket.LVW71RTE' failed during request for component '{FC3E0B6E-F62B-11D1-B144-00C04F990B2B}'
For some reason, it was trying to install these things and it began to fail after the software was uninstalled because the keys it was looking for no longer existed.
I also found a lot of what looks like data c
orruption related to NIDAQ stuff in my registry. For instance, many of my Microsoft common controls (like TabStrip) contained a value named InprocServer32 within their InprocServer32 key that had not previously existed. As random as it looks, the value always contained the following string:
G!P5BM[^==)9LRdDWOXQDataSocket.LVW71RTE>j^8!E}1.(?KY(JMzo[{A@-HK,BS+T93)NrWc5@!pDataSocket.LVW16>j^8!E}1.(?KY(JMzo[{A
Note that the same string "DataSocket.LVW71RTE" as in the error is contained in there.
Also, deep in the registry there was this key:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Products\EB039815578774540B62029BF2967518\Features
...that appeared to contain all sorts of gibberish. I have attached an export of that key as well. For example, the value ActiveX.LVW71RTE was set to:
J$YfbexG-?m!AbH6US{*Msu*X]isJ9X{tiy(&XkvRun_Time_Engine.LVW71RTE
I can't tell you what was the exact cause of MSVC6 always trying to install these thing
s and, for all I know, that "gibberish" is actually meaningful, encoded data but deleting those whacked out keys has eliminated the issue.

Recovering automatically deleted txt messages using BB Protect

Just realised that my trusty Bold 9700 ( V6 software) has been automatically deleting txts older than 30 days, after searching on here I have changed the setting to "keep for ever" but need to recover one that is about 50 days old. I back up loads of stuff inc texts roughly weekly using Blackberry Protect - i have never used recovery function before but hoping my 50 day old text is recoverable using that.
Been using Protect for months and months but only 4 archives visible under the My Data tab ( roughly from 1 week ago, 2 weeks ago, 3 weeks ago, 4 weeks ago) . Oldest archive is about 26 days ago so I'm assuming that that will have every txt from about day 26 to day 56. Is that right ?
If I recover backup from this 26 day archive will that over write more recent texts on my phone ? or add them to existing texts?
Nervous about doing a back-up now as it seems that Protect only keeps 4 most recent backups ( i.e new backup might overrwrite oldest archive - the one I probably need!).
Any help appreciated.

Switches window when I use the transport control

I have downloaded Audition CS5.5 trial version. When I'm in Mixer Mode and press the transport buttons in the transport panel (exept play, stop and pause) it switch the window to the Editor mode. Can anyone help? Macbook Pro 17 "- 2.5 GHz IntelCore Duo 4GB RAM, OSX 10.6.8

I have just checked and it is the same on a PC. There is some confusion because AA CS5.5 now calls the tabs heading the Multitrack view Editor and Mixer, whereas previously Audition called the new Waveform view the Edit view.
So, yes, clicking on any of the Transport Fast Forward, Rewind, Move to Next or Previous does switch automatically to the main Multitrack view because it assumes that if you do anything but Play, Pause or Stop then you need to see the waveform to be able to identify where you are going in the audio file. But I can see that it might be useful to be able to move between markers whilst staying in the Mixer view. However if you have the Markers window open you can double click in there on your markers to move between them without leaving the Mixer view.

1) I need to populate a tree given a root directory, listing all the Folders and file of cetain pattern(*.pjt... ther will be only one *.pjt in every subfolders).
2) I need a check box for every *.pjt to select the its path. The list of pjt files selected are used for my automation test suit.

How to launch an other application (like notepad) in a different window by using an ActiveX control in HiQ?

Take a look at the help for the CreateInterface function. Notepad.exe doesn't have an ActiveX so you have to start it with a command line shell. I don't recall for the moment the function in HiQ that allows that.

Anyone ever seen an eventoracle.cpp line 370 error when dealing with an ActiveX control?

I'm dealing with an ActiveX control in LabView 7.0 that allows me to input video / audio from a USB webcamera. The ActiveX control also allows for the playback of the AVI files that are recorded from the webcam. During playback, I occasionally get a eventoracle.cpp @ line 370 error that is hard to diagnose and hard to reproduce. Any ideas? I do have the ability to move to LabView 7.1.1 if needed, but I have not tried that yet.

you can adjust the user event data type to your needs. for example you can add a string "source" to the events data. additionally you can pass the "user parameter" to the callback vi to specify its location. see attachment below.....

I have a Program written in VC++ using NI App Wizard, I want to use VISA ActiveX control to communicate over Serial interface, Is there any sample program, which shows init, Read, Write routines?

As far as examples go, do you have a CNiVisaSession example that includes asynchronous communication. I'm having trouble getting the callback handler working.
