hi all....i m new to this technology.....i m using JBoss and m not able to run my application....i get an error like ClassCastException Bad magic number...wen i run my EJB client....i have all the jar files in the client dir of jboss in my PATH....wat all settings do i have 2 do with JBoss....m i missin smthin...thanx in advance

Problem Populating Image Item From Database

Hi All,
I am using Oracle 9i & Forms 6i on Windows platform & working in client/server model. I created a form in which, I am reading an image file from the file system & then saving it into the database. In the Databse, i created the column as BLOB. But, when I query, this does not retrive the saved image in Image Item. But image is actually saved. When I tried, changing the database column to LONG RAW, it is working. I mean its reading the image in the image item from the database.
Can anyone pls tell me, is there any problem like this, as we can retrive from LONG RAW but not from BLOB, or I am missin something here.

I use Forms 6i to save and retrieve image in BLOB column without problems.
Some weeks ago, my column was long raw and I update it without problems. Nothing to do in Forms and juste modifiy query and recompile in Reports.

Deprecated log level constants

Hi,
In my DB class I have the following:
sssn.setLogLevel(DefaultSessionLog.FINE);
where sssn is a Server session. In Eclipse I'm getting the warning:
The field SessionLog.FINE is deprecated
I can see in the javadoc that that is the case but as far as I can tell there are no other constants defined and I should just use int:s to avoid the warnings.
I'm reluctant to do that since that is not as descriptive as the constant and what if the int:s representinh the desired level change in a future relase?
Am I missin something here or did Oracle miss something when they deprecated the level constants and not just the methods of the class?

We did miss something here. When SessionLog (oracle.toplink.sessions) was deprecated and the new SessionLog (oracle.toplink.logging) was introduced we ensured backwards compatibility through inheritance.
I have also seen the issue within JDeveloper when I use SessionLog (oracle.toplink.logging) statics. The warning shows in the code editor but I do not get any compiler warning for the deprecation.
The issue is that in this case we did not replicate the statics to the non-deprecated classes. This issue has been logged and will be addressed in a future release.

I have already tried with Query Designer --> open Queries .... there were no queries and even i am unable to find infoarea's (but i can see the infoarea's in RSA1) and searched with Metadata Repository.. there were no queries

are you passign single screen? because in your code the screnn numbers are same(1000), if so, just comment these line and do..
perform bdc_dynpro using 'SAPLCHRG' '1000'.

Mailman - Can't post

Setting up mailman for my first time.
I got my lists setup using the:
sudo /usr/share/mailman/bin/withlist -l -r fix_url listname --urlhost=mydomain.com
I can admin, manage, etc... perfectly. When I send email to it, it's like sending email to an account. The account gets it, but not one subscribed to the list does... am I missining something fundemental here?
Also, I was trying to figure out the process of making this work on vhosts ([email protected], [email protected]) and got confused somewhere in the middle... what i've got in my conf file:

There are a lot of infected web sites pushing "fake antivirus" software. If you have any doubts about whether your system might have become infected, you can supplement your regular security software with these two highly regarded scanners:

I would want to retrieve a node using a unique 'id', for example the absolute index (into the total nodes count)

Just installed Firefox 4. It hangs when I open any website and type in, for example, an ID, or even just click on something, for example, "Compose", in my webmail site.

Here's the detail of what happens.
1. Turn on computer and then click on Firefox icon on desktop.
2. Firefox opens. Everything looks OK. Mr Bunsen's graphic is working fine.
3. Click on any webpage link. For example, a newspaper or an online webmail page. All looks OK until
4. Click on anything or type anything, such as in ID in a box, and bingo, the top line of Firefox goes from dark blue to very pale blue and the computer is hung. You cannot get out of Firefox or get Firefox to work.
5. Switch off computer.
Is this perhaps due to a clash of Add-ons. I run Avast anti-virus. McAfee came with Firefox 4 and I did not reject it. Is it conflicting wth something in my system and causing it to hang?

If it says your billing info is wrong that means that your credit card issuer is refusing to approve your account. You will have to solve the problem with your bank or credit card company.

Welcome to the world of digital media. Your can't really transfer it. I don't know what the rules are about transferring to your spouse but I do know that in some cases when you die, your heirs cannot inherit your digital media. This is why there is still an advantage to buying the CD since the usage rights belong to whomever holds the physical media.
A possible workaround is to burn the songs to a music CD with yout account (tracks only without song titles) and then having your wife upload it as a regular music CD onto her account. It's been a while since i've done this so I'm not sure if it would work now.
Please note that I'm not advocating copyright and/or TOS violations. I'm only suggesting ways to copy music for your own personal use which has traditonally been permitted. I only did this because I wanted to convert iTunes songs to mp3 files so I could burn them onto a data CD for use in my car. It would make sense that since married couples are a joint entity, this would be personal use.
Also, I'm not a lawyer so don't take this as legal advice.
