I cannot change from grid view to list view when i contol click on the downloads folder on the dock am i doing something wrong? if so how do i change the ?view in the dock

when i contol click on the downloads icon in the dock i get the gris view . I thought if you control click, you are able to change the view to fan or list. am I doing something wrong.? Icheck to make sure the contol key is working by doing a screenshot and it works there. What am I doing wrong?

Let me tell you this: don't worry about it.
No one is able to tell very easily if the video is in 24 or 30 fps. You can only see the difference between, like, 14 and 24 fps. Just dismiss it and move on. It's all fine.
(the only time that I personally need to make sure my camera is shooting at it's highest fps, is when I will be putting the vidoe into slow motion.)

After I detach audio from the video, and I go to delete the video portion but keep the audio, it deletes both. Am I doing something wrong?

I would appreciate your support if you can. I know how to detach the audio from a video clip. Once this is done I wanted to add another video shot (B-roll) over the audio I detached. When I go to delete the video (which is detached form the audio) It deletes both of them automatically.
Is there something I am doing wrong? Do I need to unpin the audio somehow?

Every time I change my home page then close Firefox, when I start it up again, my new home page is replaced by a search window...how do I change my home page?

In prior versions of Firefox I had three tabs pop up when I started the program. I load the addresses for those same three tabs into my home page setting under options...close Firefox...then start it up again and the tabs don't get saved. Not sure where I'm going wrong...this process worked in earlier versions.

After trying many of the suggestions found online I found that the only thing that worked was to completely uninstall firefox and re-install it again!

After creating a new slideshow I export it with the setting HD 1080p it is then saved as a .mov i then create a dvd in idvd and the quality is not as good as the original photo's when viewed on the monitor or a TV, am i doing something wrong?

DVD's are only 640 x 480 (interlaced), so yes, the quality is not nearly as good. You should probably create your .mov in DV format to best match the DVD format

Change from screen processing to list procesing

I am working in a program where I have changed from screen processing to list processing, in the PBO of screen '0600', that way:
module screen_0600 output.
SET PF-STATUS '0600'.
 LEAVE TO LIST-PROCESSING AND RETURN TO SCREEN 0.
perform header.
perform body.
 LEAVE SCREEN.
endmodule. " STATUS_0600 OUTPUT
My problem is that there is no resizing of the window where the list is displayed, and I don`t know to change the LINE-SIZE.
Any Ideas??

I believe the issue is with the Apple ID that was used to purchase the App. If you download an App that was purchased under a different Appple ID then all updates will also be linked to the original purchaser's Apple ID. Your Apple ID is the the same ID as your iTunes, iCloud, etc. Some folks use different ID for the different Apple sites. No need for that One ID for all Apple Sites, and if someone else buys an App using their ID and they(you) download that App onto your device and that App requires an update it will ask for the purchasers Apple ID. This happens a lot when folks sell their iPad or give it to someone else and leave some purchased(free) Apps on the iOS device. You cannot change the original ID the App was purchased under. A suggestion would be if someone else has an App that you like but do not want to pay for use their ID or in the future have them gift the App to you.

Using the crop tool in Lightroom 5 I can only move and crop my photos from the top. Am I doing something wrong?

I am new to Lightroom 5 and find I cannot crop my photos as easily as I did in iPhoto. I would like to be able to drag them if I choose a custom size or crop them from the bottom as well as from the top but my two sided arrow disappears when I work at the bottom of the photo. Am I doing something wrong?

I would suggest you trash the prefs.
Quit Lightroom
Launch Finder and find the user Library by clicking the Go menu whilst holding down the Optn (alt) key (n.b. the library is hidden until you press the optn key) and inside the Library folder select the preferences folder. Then trash the following file:
com.adobe.Lightroom5.plist
Then re-launch Lightroom
It’s then worth clearing each cache. Go to the top menu bar:
Lightroom >> Preferences >> File Handling (tab)
Click the Purge Cache button under Camera Raw Cache Settings; then click the Purge Cache button under Video Cache Settings. Finally click OK.

iCloud does not provide website hosting. You will need to find another website hosting service - there are many to choose from - and upload your site there. How you do this depends on what version of iWeb you have.
In order to upload your existing site in iWeb '09 and above:
Click on the name of the site in the sidebar: the publishing settings pane will open. Set 'Publish to' to 'FTP'. Enter the name of the site and a contact address (if desired).
In the 'FTP Server Settings' section you will need to know the server address (your hosting service can tell you that), and your username and password for that service. Your site will be published in a folder with its name at root level of the server, with an index.html file at root level (which will overwrite any index.html file which may be there already). The 'Directory/Path' field may need to include a path such as '/webspace/' or 'ht_docs/' - this is dependent on your hosting service and they should tell you this. If you want to publish within a folder you can add that to the path.
You can then click the 'Test connection' button so that iWeb can check that it can get access to your server space. You should enter the URL of the site in the 'URL' field so that rss feeds and internal links have the correct address.
To publish using an earlier version of iWeb:
From the File menu choose 'Publish to a folder'. You should create a folder somewhere convenient specifically for this and choose it when publishing to a folder: this folder should not contain anything else.
You now need an FTP program (FTP is the 'protocol' used for uploading) to upload the contents of the folder to your server.Cyberduck is free (donation requested): Transmit is $34 but I think better. You will need the server address (your hosting service can tell you that), and your username and password for that service. You can drag the contents of your folder to your webspace, or create a folder there and drag the contents to that if you prefer.
Some facilities that iWeb provided when hosted on MobileMe will not work on other servers: comments on weblogs and photos, password-protecting your site (some hosts may provide this), searching in the weblog, and a hits counter (again, some hosts can provide code for this). Slideshows in iWeb will work on other hosts than MobileMe (they use different code when FTPing which doesn't depend on scripts hosted on MobileMe as the MobileMe version does); however there is an issue with the 'buttons' which control the slideshow which are images hosted on me.com - these depend on images which used to be hosted on MobileMe. I have added the Documents folder to the Dock, however when I save a document it doesn't appear in the Documents folder on the Dock, only the Documents folder in the Finder. Is this a quirk, so am I doing something wrong?

I like having my Documents folder on the Dock so I added the Documents folder from the Finder to the Dock. When I save a document to the Documents folder, the saved document appears in the Documents folder from the Finder and not in the Documents folder on the Dock. Why is this happening? And how can I change this?

How do I add the Downloads folder to my dock?

I updated to Mavericks (OS X) and now I can't drag and drop anything onto my dock. Prior to upgrade, every once in a while, the Downloads folder would disappear from the dock, but I could just drag and drop it back in.
Now when I try to add to my dock, all that happens is that the folder is removed from the Sidebar in Finder.
I also don't have a dotted line beside the trash can (it's a solid line).. When I drag the folder onto the dock, the space between the solid line and the trash can expands, but I just end up removing stuff from my sidebar.
I feel like I've completely missed something..

I am having a difficult time downloading HD movies from iTunes. I tried on both my imac and new macbook pro but 95% of the time I get error 8008 (corruption). I can stream HD content from Netflix and hulu w/o problems. I also empty my download folder.

After it started happening on my imac I tried to download on my ne macbook pro but the same thing is happening. I can stream without any ral noticiable problems from my icloud library, Netflix, and Hulu but when I try to download so I can back them up I get the 8008 error code. I have contacted spple support and am still waitin on an answer. Sometimes the error will happen towards the beginning and other times when it is almost downloaded. I can tell it is atarting when the time remaining starts to fluctuate, then the download bar may stop ans start over. It seems to be an icloud problem but I thought I would check to see if anyone else has had the problem and was able to get it taken care of. It should be noted that everyonce in a while I do get a complete download.

These alerts occur due to timeouts or conflicts trying to write a file during download.
If you encounter this issue while while downloading something from the iTunes Store:
Delete your iTunes Downloads folder, located in:
Mac OS X:  ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Downloads Note: "iTunes Media" may appear as "iTunes Music. Also, the tilde (~) refers to your Home directory.
After locating your iTunes Downloads folder:
Quit iTunes.
Delete the Downloads folder on your computer.
Open iTunes.
Choose Store > Check for Available Downloads.
Enter your account name and password.

I accidentally clicked and dragged my "downloads" folder off of the dock today and it of course disappeared.
My question is how do I get it back? I went to my "downloads" folder on my HD and I dragged it back to the dock. But when I did that I got the paper icons but not the folder icon.

You're almost there! Just control click the icon in the dock and select Display as Folder. Then control click once more and select Fan, then one last time and select Sort by Date Added. You will then have the original behavior of the Downloads folder.
