Mac Mail 5.2 OSX 10.7.4 - remove underline on sig link

I will apologize in advance if this is me having a friday brain melt!
I am trying to add a link within my signature to the following "register for webinars here" and but I don't want the wording underlined - cannot fathom how to remove the underline, or is it a case of it is what it is & that is underlined?!!
Thank you

You may get an answer here at the Mountain Lion discussion, but I'd suggest Lion folks are more likely hanging out at the Lion discussion page:
https://discussions.apple.com/community/mac_os/mac_os_x_v10.7_lion
A little more info would be helpful- when did this start, ever able to send in a timely manner, etc.
Good luck.

Is it possible to write in superscript or subscript in mac mail since the OSX Mavericks update? At the moment I have to copy and paste from Pages!

I tried to figure this out myself and couldn't believe there wasn't a simple menu item to get this done.  Seems there was in pre-Mavericks but not in Mavericks.   Found several answers but they all reply to before Mavercks.
This is helpful and yet I'm left with "Wow!  Apple really can make simple things difficult.  Who would have guessed."

  • How do I Import Mail Contacts from MS Outlook to Mac Mail? MacMini OSX 10.9 Mavericks

Hi I am using OSX 10.9 Mavericks.  I have been trying to export my People Contcts list from MS Outlook to Mac Mail, can anyone help? Thanks

    Ed,
the simplest solution is to convert your Outlook PST file to standard mbox files using Thunderbird - TB on the PC imports Outlook data just fine and - unlike the other proposed solution - is free. When you install TB on your PC for the first time, it will ask you to import your Outlook data.
Once you have all your mail messages in mbox format, you can import them into Mail. However, instead of using Mail's "Import" feature to do so, I would propose you use Eudora Mailbox Cleaner for this - the program can also import TB mailboxes to Apple Mail and will preserve all your message status flags (read, replied, ...):

  • Junk "mailbox" keeps appearing in Mac Mail 3.6 (OSX 10.5.8) Any ideas???

Hello all. I am a MobileMe user, synced mail between 2 macs, iPhone, & iPad. In my Mac Mail prefs I have I DO NOT have junk mail filtering checked, I want everything (spam or not) to go to my inbox. There is no junk mail brown paper bag icon on my sidebar. The problem is every once and a while an email will come through and there will then be a folder(mailbox) created called "junk" and that email will show up in that mailbox, that I did not create. I can read the mail, delete it, or do whatever I need to do with it, then delete this "junk" mailbox from my sidebar, but then it might happen again the following week, or not for several months.
Kinda frustrating since it should be set up to put everything in my inbox regardless of sender. Why does my system automatically create this mailbox?
Again there is no brown paper bag on my sidebar, Mac Mail just creates this junk mailbox that shows up right along with my other .mac mailboxes.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Steve

This happens to me too, usually only when I log into my mobileme account via a web browser (which I rarely do), but just a few minutes ago it happened spontaneously when Apple thought some legit mail was junk.
I also sync between two macs and an iPhone (no iPad), and I have junk mail turned off wherever possible (can't find a "turn off junk" option on the iPhone). One other thing, along with a junk folder, I also get a deleted messages and a drafts folder. After checking to make sure they are all empty, I just delete them on whichever mac I am using.
Looks like there is a bug in Apple's software where in some cases they ignore the settings in preferences, then they see that there are not folders that they deem are necessary so they create them for you.
I've tried a few different ideas on how to deal with this, mostly by turning on junk mail and making some rules to put everything in my inbox, but none of them worked well. I think we'll just have to live with this bug. I've seen lots of postings on problems with junk mail for years now, and Apple doesn't seem to be doing anything about it.

  • Mac Mail to Gmail truncates attachments names and removes exstenstions

I have a user that has mac Mail 2.1.1 and is on OS X 10.4.9. Sometimes when he sends mails to his colleagues, the attachments are truncated and the extensions are removed. For Example:
In Mail, he attaches a file called "Heid Survey.doc". Mail sends the file and the Sent mail looks ok. On a windows machine, using firefox and gmail.com, another person checks the email and gets an attachment named "heid". It does not recognize it as a word file. If the attachment is downloaded and the .doc added to it, it will open. If the same recipient checks the mail message in Mac Mail, the email and attachment come through fine.
I have tried this using both "Send Windows Friendly attachments" and with out it.
This does not always happen he reports, but I was able to recreate it with my gmail account and his laptop consistently. My Mac Mail shows the attachments fine as well.
I also tried to zip the file before sending it to gmail, and gmail recognized that it was a zip file, but when I tried to save it to the desktop on windows, it only saved the truncated version after gmail un-zipped it.
I do not know if this is a Mac Mail or a Gmail issue. I am not sure what is happening to these messages. Can any shed some light or give me some troubleshooting tips? Anything that I can try would be great. Thanks!

It has nothing to do with the contains. I believe it's a bug, and if you search translators lists like Systran's, you will discover this issue is spreading virically. Do not know what happens. What is known about this by embattled Mac users who now have to stop using Mail app: the phenomena begins out of the blue, one day works, one do not, it affects every file type (seems to be a problem with the name only, nothing to do with ASCII issues) and also, activating the "windows friendly" part does nothing. My case is really funny because I have one mac account with several mail accounts included, and it began with the main one (the others sent files ok) and now every account is affected. My boss is crazy with this. After a certain amount of time in the gmail account, the names appear fully sometimes, but obviously you can't tell a client, "sorry, you have to wait one day to check your mail, because I'm using Mac and it looks great, but it can't send attchments". Google says it's Apple's error, and Apple do not answer.

  • How can I add social media linked icons to my mac mail signature in osx mountain lion?

I've added png files to my signature and then hit command k and added a website to "link" each, however when i send the message the icons are there, but they don't "link", as in I can click on them and the png file just bounces back up.
I am sure that Apple Mail has a way to do this, as every other carrier seems to have figured this out!
    Help!

"a signature with my logo" - please explain.
If I wanted a signature with a logo, I'd create an HTML document containing text and an embedded image. Adding, for example, facebook and twitter icons would be done in just the same way, by embedding their icons into the same HTML signature document.
What's stopping you just adding more graphics?

  • Mac Mail Address Autofill Leaving Text In Field Instead of Email Address Link

This is a new development that has started occurring since I upgraded to Maverick.  When I start typing an address into the address bar, it quickly autofills with the correct address.  I used to be able to hit the right arrow for it to enter that address and allow me to add more.  Now when I hit the right arrow, it leaves the text in the address line from the autofill, but it isn't formatted as a contact link in a blue bubble.  If I press tab it works fine, but then I have to go back each time and click in the address field to continue adding recipients.
    I get this:
    Instead of this:
Anyone else having this happen?  Any workarounds?

Try re-indexing the mailboxes. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.

  • Can't receive any .btinternet emails in Mac Mail!

I am using Mac Mail on Lion OSX but unable to receive any emails that are addresses to any of my .btinternet addresses.  However I do receive emails sent to my .pipex addresses.  Furthermore I can receive ALL emails to Thunderbird and BTyahoo  my alternative email clients on the same Mac.  It seems that it is just Mac Mail that is stopping all emails with a .btinternet suffix from being delivered.  Anyone know why?  It could be a Mac Mail problem but I don't know where to look.  When I use Connection Doctor this is what I see below.

  • Mac Mail/MobileMe Help Plz!!

    Hi everyone.
I've been a MobileMe user since 2008, and have had my email configured through MobileMe with all of my other email accounts directing to MobileMe since early 2009 using Mac Mail Application on OSX.
Recently, about 2 weeks ago, when I send email using Mac Mail Application, they do not receive it, however, when I send it using the MobileMe web server, they receive it.
The mail appears to send perfectly, with no error messages, no problems, and it appears in the sent folder, but the person I am trying to send it to, never receives it!!
Very annoying!! this ONLY just started happening about two weeks ago!!
I have Mac Mail configured MobileMe as POP3, have tried other configurations, same thing.
Is it the mail application? do I need to do a scrub and blow? reformat/reinstall or what?
I have tried contacting support, and they forwarded me to Tier 2, and then to the MobileMe "Engineers" but, no response so far and that was a week ago.
What I was hoping is maybe someone from the forums might be able to shed some light on this for me, as I REALLY NEED full email functionality for my job, and considering this is a pay-per service, I think it's terrible what's going on.
    Someone out there?? any ideas??!

    Greetings,
If it has been awhile waiting for a response from support you might want to contact them again to see if they have a status update. If the case went to an engineer that suggests it might be something server side, in which case nothing you do is going to make a difference. But that answer should come from support.
That said a few questions / suggestions for you:
1.) Why are you using POP rather than IMAP? MobileMe is primarily an IMAP based service (although they offer POP access, IMAP is the recommended method of connecting).
__Consider disabling your MobileMe account under POP and adding it as IMAP
_Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Advanced > Enable this account
_Click the plus sign and add MobileMe as IMAP
2.) Try using MobileMe in Mail in a new user account on your computer:http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.4/en/mh168.html
__This will help determine if the issue with the Mail application.

  • Problem with Mac Mail not Deleteing Mail

Mac Mail no longer deletes a message from the host server once it is downloaded even though the option to delete once the mail is downloaded is ticked in the account prefernce area.
Has anyone else come across this problem and have a solution?

Have changed the account preference in Mac mail to "delete message once it is removed from inbox" this deletes the message on the ISP's server.

  • Mac Mail.app V.2.0.5 with OSX server's email don't play well sometimes

I have my own web, FTP, and email server. (OSX 10.4.4 Server). I've been managing my own server services since AppleShare V.6 .So I've done this a few times. I have set up an account for myself "nino" on the server that people email to, you know "[email protected]".
On my laptop I have Mac Mail.app set to log onto my server, via the internet, and to get and send emails. Sounds pretty normal right? Yep, it is except four or five times since I updated the server to 10.4.4., last December, Mac Mail.app simply stops receiving email from my account. Now I'm a pretty busy guy and email is my main source of communications. Plus get a healthy amount of junk mail. So I hear that familiar beep at least twice an hour - usually a lot more. I can always when this tell when this anomaly happens when two hours go by without something arriving in Mac Mail.app.
The catch here is the server is still accepting mail for my account. I can go to web mail, which I have set-up and working fine, and new emails are there! Mac Mail.app simple stops accepting them.
    I have tried:
    restarting both machines
changing the password to my account, on both machines
actually deleting my account from Mac Mail.app, restarting and creating my account again
Nada.... I can see emails adding up in web mail....grrrrrr.
The only way I know to resolve this is to, gulp, delete my account on the Server and set it up again. This seems to work but unless I've answered messages in web mail their gone! Poof. I do like to keep good records by saving and organizing business related emails. So when this happens I'm screwed.
    Any thoughts?
