MacBook error - invalid checksum

On my MacBook I attempted to download trial version of Photoshop cs6 during the night and received this error message this morning: Photoshop_13_L516.dr invalid checksum
In searching for the fix there are many, many problems with this download. We have our own DSL - AT&T router. I can not find the graphics in the energy preferences to disable as one person suggested. What exactly must I do? I will purchase Photoshop cs6 but would like to look at the differences between Photoshop and Photoshop Extended first. Thank you.
Mac OS X   10.6.8
Processor 2 GHz Intel Core Duo
1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

Where did you choose to download the install files too?  I would recommend trying the download again but choosing the default location of the User folder.

and to add: you're not following SAPs suggestions according to the installation guide.
    > D:\usr\sap\ERP\SYS\exe\run/R3load.exe: version R6.20/V1.2
Kernel 6.20 is out of support already for a long time. You should get an updated installation CD with a 6.40 kernel.
    > DbSl Trace: Database instance erp is running on PAO with ORACLE version 9.2.0.1.0 since 20100131
9.2.0.1 was never supported. If you read the installation you will notice, that you should install the database plus the latest patchset plus the latest interim patches before you continue with the installation.

I have a new iMac, but same problem was happening on my macbook.  Every time I try to install 4.4, I get this error.  I even unselected validate checksums in disk utilities, still failed to install.

  • Fireworks CS6 Error Message "Invalid Checksum"

I'm quite computer literate and know my way around OSX very well, however I'm having issue downloading this trial version of Fireworks CS6.
First I tried downloading it with OSX 10.8.2, and I go the error "Invalid Checksum"...in other words the file was corrupted or incomplete (correct?).
I then updated my OS to 10.8.3 and attempted the download a second time, I encountered the same error.
My hardware: 2012 15" Macbook Pro Retina
Internet is fast enough to play games like Halo and Call of Duty, so this shouldn't be an issue.
Is this a common bug? Do i just need to try and download the file until it finally works? Or is there something I can do?
I also deleted Adobe Install and redownloaded that as well, but it didn't change anything.
Basically I'm out of ideas and am hoping someone else has some helpful knowledge.
*Just tried a 3rd time and encountered the same error. I just can't get this do download correctly, any help would be much appreciated.

You are missing the obvious: Use another browser.

  • OS UPDATE / Invalid Checksum / Appstore / Main Apple web page

Hi.. I know this conversation closed many months ago but I am having the same problem. I have just turned on one of my Macbooks and it indicated via the MacStore that I needed the recent update of IOSX software. Currently I am running 10.8.2... and it showed that I needed the new update of 10.8.3
I clicked on the download button and after download it came back with a message to say the file had been corrupted during download. I tried to download it again via the App Store but it then said that there are no current updates or all updates are current. I checked to make sure that the existing software had not updated and it had not. So I went to the Apple webpage where you are able to download files directly from the site. http://support.apple.com/downloads/
I then tried to download the 10.8.3 combo software... After about 35 mins I tried to install it from the Download file
After validating the file which is normal.. It cam back with an error - "Invalid Checksum" So I deleted the file from downloads and tried again.... Same thing...
I then tried to download the smaller update file (the one below in the image) -
Less time to download but came back with the same error.
So in short I am unable to download this update... I am getting the same error message "Invalid Checksum" when I use either the AppStore or the main Apple software update page on the web..
Anyone suggest anything? I have tried to download this a couple of times now and am getting the same results.
    Appreciate any help or advise.

Interesting. I went to apple.com and dragged the url to the dock. There is a clickable space created, which displays "Apple" when you hover over it. I can click on it successfully, as you say. And I can drag it off the dock as usual. But there is no icon!  I tried a couple of other websites -- same result!
    A small bug, I guess.
This behavior persists in all my user accounts.
    Can others confirm?

  • Invalid Checksum Error for Photoshop Elements 10 installation

I have tried installing Photoshop Elements 10 on my Macbook but I got an "invalid checksum" error (saying that the following disk images couldn't be opened).  Was there a previous solution to this type of problem?

That response is not at all helpful.  I have no idea what you were referring to, but there is no pale yellow bar at the top of the forum when I am looking at it now.
In the future, consider posting a URL or something else that will continue to be relevant and useful in a persistent way.  Perhaps typing a sentence or two about what's going on if you know.  If it seems obvious to you, that doesn't mean it will be in the future to others having the same problem.

  • When i try to open the master collection i get a error message saying invalid checksum

when i try to open the master collection i get a error message saying invalid checksum

I'm trying to install Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 (English North Americas) and have the same problem.
#1 the default location is in some Local / User folder and I too made it the Application folder. Now Adobe Download Manage will only download to Applications folder. The first time the installer failed I logged out, but the installer .dmb was erased. Second download I copied to the Desktop, and deledted the orgional in the Applications folder. BOTH .dmg had checksum errors. BOTH failed on install. Restart of systm changes nothing
I'm on Cable and am able to download 20G files without issue. (I work with 1080i/p movies all the time). MacOS 10.7.4 MacBook Pro 2.2 i7, 4GB, 200GB free space
As someone who has used Adobe products since before Photoshop v.1 was released, this would be far from the first bad Adobe installer!

I'm using a dual-link DVI monitor (QNIX QX2700) and obviously am using the open-source radeon driver that comes with the kernel.
Any help would, of course, be appreciated. It could possibly be that my monitor is just sending a bogus EDID, so solutions which tell radeon to just ignore the EDID right away are also very welcome.

The only radeon module parameter I can think of that has something to do with this is hw_i2c. Maybe try setting that to 0 or 1?

  • Invalid checksum or cannot mount image errors with disk copy

I just upgraded my B/W G3 from OS9 to OS X.2 and only have Internet explorer 5.1 for Mac for internet browsing. I can't even access the Apple downloads page and alternate browsers download as .dmg files. When I click the download I am prompted to pick a location....(I tried to open the files directly through applications/disk copy and that option is grayed out; I can only save files to the desktop) so I saved the files to desktop and when I try to use disk copy to open them, I get either invalid checksum or cannot mount image errors. I am a brand new Mac user and understand this is not Windows and all and I understand the process of dragging the icon to the apps folder, but I can't get that far, I am getting these errors and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, the icon that appears on the desktop after the download is an image of a hard drive, but on a sheet of paper, not an image of a hard drive itself.
I think this has to do with the errors, but don't know where to go from here. Any suggestions?

    a few updates-corrections:
I am running OS 10.1 with the latest update being 10.1.5
I have upgraded the RAM to 896 mb with some memory chips I got from Ebay...worked like a charm!
The only browser I can get to install and run is Camino, which crashes sometimes but is way better than IE5 for Mac
The majority of downloads I find on the internet stil give me the cannot mount image error
I tried the firmware update but it wants OS9 installed....but I am pretty sure I ran that before I installed OS 10.1.....OS9 still exists on my hard drive, but is not accessable in 10.1
When I can get an image mounted, a lot of times the program loads in the dashboard, but immediately closes out
With all these issues, I am considering upgrading to OS 10.4 but am hesitant since I don't know if that is the core problem
This old Mac is really cool and a refreshing change from Windows and I don't want to give up on it, but I don't want to keep spending money on things that don't work.

  • "invalid checksum" error downloading Photoshop 5.1

How do I solve this issue? Have tried downloading Photoshop 5.1 numerous times and keep getting an invalid checksum error when it completes and wont launch ... Also at this point the extracting bar on the download manager just freezes.

And more specifically? Operating system? Browser? System specs? Could be an issue with temporary disk space required for the extraction, could be that some security tool is interferring, could be that your network connection produces errors... Impossible to even guess without more info.

  • Programs not installing - invalid checksum and errors

I have tried installing a few programs recently and they download, but then when I click to install them it says invalid checksum.
The programs I have tried are Adobe reader and a Safari update. I tried downloading Adobe reader about 6 times on different days and the same error occurred. Of course both are reputable programs.
Last night I tried to download Apple Software Updates which were over 2gb and took 10 hours to download. They produced an error report saying that there was a file error and try again...... of course im not happy because that chewed up a lot of my internet limit and took forever
Does anyone have any solutions to these installation errors?

  • Session State Protection invalid Checksum errors show valid checksum

    Hi,
I am investigating Session Sate Prtection to let me make my appications more secure.
I have created a simple Report / Form pair that allows me to open an item for edditing.
I have set the Application to Session State Protection 'Enabled' and and my form page to Page Access Prtection 'Arguments Must Have Checksum'.
From my report page I click on the edit icon for a row and I get the edit page with the url:
    f?p=126:3:7115846938209895::::P3_WORK_PACKAGE_ID:1179&cs=3CC0C97D3A8B114D2E40EDF158C0AECFB
If I then manually manipulate this url, to change my P3_WORK_PACKAGE_ID from 1179 to 1180, to:
    f?p=126:3:7115846938209895::::P3_WORK_PACKAGE_ID:1180&cs=3CC0C97D3A8B114D2E40EDF158C0AECFB
    I get an error of:
Error The checksum computed on the request, clear cache, argument names, and argument values (P3_WORK_PACKAGE_ID1180 [01BE394775DB7B5A861BEA77B6637A46] ) did not match the checksum passed into the show procedure (CC0C97D3A8B114D2E40EDF158C0AECFB).
All well and good, but it tells me what the checksum should be. I can now update the url to use the displayed checksum to make the url:
    f?p=126:3:7115846938209895::::P3_WORK_PACKAGE_ID:1180&cs=301BE394775DB7B5A861BEA77B6637A46
the form opens for P3_WORK_PACKAGE_ID 1180.
How do I stop the error message telling my how to bypass the checksum security?
    Thanks,
    Martin

I am not sure but maybe this detailed message is coming if you are logged in to Apex and otherwise it is showing more general error message with no checksum?

  • Several errors of the form [drm:.... ] *ERROR*, especially checksum

    Hello to all,
I am new to Arch Linux and not that experienced in Linux. But I want to learn more. In fact, I have learned a lot since I switched from Fedora to Arch.
I will straight away go to my problem:
As indicated in the subject, I have noticed several errors concerning [drm:....] this morning when I booted and checked my system with journalctl -b.
I do not know how long these errors are there because I yesterday used journalctl for the first time.
Here is the result of journalctl -b:

EDID is Extended Display Identification Data, information stored about you display's capabilities and geometry that are read by the video driver so provide automatic configuration.  The checksum error meant that there were inconsistencies in the data read.  No idea why.
    Edit,
    Oh, and welcome to Arch
Thank you for the info and for the welcome. I will read more about EDID and drm.

With journalctl, you have certainly discovered a powerful debugging tool.  It will no doublt come in handy along your learning adventures here.
I will admit being very impressed by your use of code tags in a first post as a new Arch Linux user.  Bravo sir!
Thank you also for your welcome and your advises. I  saw from other posts that the people here use some special style of representing code, so I searched a bit and clicked here and there and clicked on the BBCode link below the 'Quick post'-window and voila found the help site of the forum.

I will search the net a bit and will report here what I have found on this issue.
    Edit,
oh, and if someone here has an idea, I would be happy to 'hear' it.

  • Invalid checksum for iTunes? ... can't download large apps?

    I've noticed two things.
First, I've tried to download iTunes 11 from both the app store and a straight download, and, both ways (and every time -- 7 tries now), I get an invalid checksum. I've downloaded from Chrome; I've downloaded from Safari. I can't imagine the source is the problem, so what's happening there? My network connection seem otherwise solid, based on my ping rate to California, and standard web use.
Secondly, iTunes 10 won't download large apps. Neither the 'Magic the Gathering' update or the 'Grand Theft Auto: Vice City' app will download. (Both of those weigh in at over a gig.) At some point during the download, I get the warning, "An unknown error occurred (-50)." Smaller apps seem fine.
This is with a late 2008 13-inch Macbook Pro running 10.8.2.
    Help? ... and thank you!

Just need to find a way to get a hold of someone who can fix this.
