Macbook not able do transparent authentication
Hi,
I have a WSA and I am trying to test connectivity with a macbook pro.
What I would like is for it to be completely transparent for the user where the AD credentials are passed to the Ironport without having to be entered in the browser. However it seems that either the Macbook is not able to pass the credentials to Ironport or the something needs to be done on the ironport. When I test the authentication realm settings on the Ironport everything is successful and I have AD agent enabled for transparent user identification.
The only thing I can see in the logs of the Ironport are that they don't see a username when the client tries to passthrough. Here is a copy paste of the logs from when I open safari:

By default MAC does not support NTLM due to which SSO does not work like Windows.
You can go ahead and exempt the MAC PC's from user authentication if you do not want users to be prompted for authentication.
To exempt authentication for mac users:
Create a new identity and match the user agent string to "Mac"
(from the GUI -> web security manager -> identity -> advanced -> user-agent
-> add "Mac" -> submit).

I am not able to access my photos through the photo application... when I click on the photo app, I can see the camera roll, but a transparent "album" screen is over it and I cannot click on the photos to see it... can any one please help ???
Known bug. Quit the Camera App, double-tap the home key and delete Camera from the recent apps bar. Fire it up again, should be good.

After upgrading to Mavericks on my MacBook, I'm not able to download third party applications like Dropbox and MyCleanMac 2. After clicking the download button, the screen just turns dark and is frozen. Any idea what is happening?
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

Not able to view exFAT format external hard drive in my macbook pro 10.8.2.
I have formatted my hard drive in exFAT format from a windows notebook. I am not sure what to do as I am not able to view my hard drive in my macbook.
Can somebody please help me out in this regard.?Try connecting the exFAT drive back to the Windows notebook and use the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in your Taskbar.
Run a updated malware scan and/or remove any original data and reformat the drive again.
Your issue doesn't appear to be widespread, so I'm leaning towards something that got messed up somehow.
Mac's can read/write MBR/GUID and FAT32/exFAT drives, only can read NTFS, so it shouldn't be having a problem. -
I recently bought a used macbook (2008) and was told that it was set back to factory settings and came with all the orignal software, box etc. The first Installer disk of the Mac os X was already in the disc drive, but I'm not able to get past where it saves the installer. It wasn't able to find anywhere to save it. I have no clue what to do. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!

2008 MacBooks could at minimum also use the 10.5.6 retail disc that looked like:
And some of the earliest 2008 models can use 10.5.4 as well, but it couldn't say Upgrade, Dropin, or OEM or a Mac model on it, except MacBook, if it was the one bundled with that MacBook.

Multibyte users are not able to authenticate using Default Authenticator

We are facing an issue with multi-byte user authentication. All chinese and french users are not able to authenticate.
When we try to authenticate with réseau/welcome1, where réseau is a user created in embedded LDAP, authentication fails.

We are using WebLogic Server 10.3 Default Authenticator as Authentication Provider.
I found few change requests related to multi-byte from the link: http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs103/issues/known_resolved.html
Am I missing some configuration? Has anyone else tried authenticate multibyte username?

1. Is this using Basic or Form authentication?
2. If the user logs on from a web-based client, do you get the same failure with Internet Explorer as with other browsers?
3. On which operating system is the WebLogic AdminServer running?
With WebLogic Server 10.3, I am able to authenticate with multi-byte (French and Japanese) usernames. (My environment: form auth, Firefox 3.0.5, WLS runs on Linux RHEL 4.0.) -
I can only print the current page of downloaded pdf's. Not able to print "all". I'm using a Macbook air.
it says "the document could not be printed". "There were no ages selected to print".
I selected "all". I always tried selecting pages "1-3".
The only choice that works is current page. Very strange. -
SQL Authenticator Issue not able to see roles /groups in BPM Worklist

I had configured the SQL Authenticator in Web logic using the SQL Authenticator default scripts and i have inserted few users.
I am able to login to the Workspace using the users available in DB but i am not to able to see his group / role to which he belongs.
Even the user who belongs to Administrator group not able to see Administrator tab in BPM Workspace.
I have already added dbprovider.jar and i have configured jps-config.xml accordingly such that it point to custom SQL Authenticator.
Even set the Control flags to "SUFFICIENT".
Please some one help me on this.

I installed Firefox sync and then used iphone app called FireFox Home and I can syncronize history, tabs and bookmarks. But I am NOT able to syncronize passwords from Firefox in my Macbook to FireFox Home on iPhone so I am very terrible to input my IDs and Passwords with my hands on FireFox Home when I log into Facebook, Twitter etc... Is it issue or something like that? If you have some solutions to make it clear, can you tell me how to syncronize memorized IDs and Passwords for the webs. Thank you.

I have a MacBook Pro and not able to connect to Internet. I have other HP comp and iPad and am able to connect. I have contacted AppleCare....they said disconnect router and leave unplugged for an hour, which I did...still no connection. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Call Apple Care back & tell them their suggestion did not work.
