Macro run time errors.

I'm receiving a "Run-time Error '9' Subscript out of range. I have checked the the correct details but it won't go past this section where its meant to enter the data on another sheet.
Prior to this entry there is a few hundred entries. I'm just adding extra into the macro. the previous items work ok.
Sheets("Data").Select
    Range("NE6").Select
    Application.CutCopyMode = False
    Selection.Copy
    Sheets("Description").Select
    Range("H107").Select
    ActiveSheet.Paste
    Call LoadVISdata2
    End Sub
    Sub LoadVISdata2()
    Sheets("Data").Select
    Range("NF6").Select
    Application.CutCopyMode = False
    Selection.Copy
Sheets("Work review").Select      (it stops on this line) the Work review is spelt exactly the same as the work spread sheet)
    Range("D26").Select
    ActiveSheet.Paste

  • 2013 Run-Time error 32809 on macro

I am unable to have a file open correctly that has 'automatic macros'.  The file work in 2010 and now I have the run-time error.  This workbook is created by outside source and is password protected.
    Thanks for any assistance.

Do a bit of searching. It appears that this error is most likely caused by a MS security patch and is related to things like ActiveX. I'm not sure if there are fixes that don't require access to the file's design. If so, you should be able to get it working
again. If not and you can't get into the file, then you really have no option except to push the fix back to the developers who have the password.
It's also possible that there's something about the design that is incompatible with 2013 and you're back to needing the devs with the password to fix the problem since it's code that's borked.
I feel you pain. Just curious, how do you fit in? Are you an end user stuck with something not working (and is so I REALLY feel your pain) or are you somehow tied into the development?

  • Run-time error 5097 on Selection.InsertFile in Word 2013 macro

We have been running Word 2003 macros to generate large volumes of document files for 10+ years.
Now running the same code using Word 2013, we are getting Run-time error '5097' on this line of code:
    Selection.InsertFile filename:=pFileName
We have over 40 code sets that potentially call in 20,000+ Word document files. 98% of the time this code will work; but several files will not insert when this code attempts to execute.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Dawn Cox

    Hi Dawn,
Thanks for the detail information for this issue.
Since the file even can't be inserted manually, this issue is not relative to the code. To get more effective response, I would suggest that you reopen a new thread in
    Microsoft Community- Word or
    TechNet- Word forum.
And to help other communities to narrow this issue, I also suggest that you provide a sample file for testing.
    Hope it is helpful.

  • Run-time error '1004' -- Method 'Container' of object '_Workbook' failed

    Dear All,
One of our users is getting the following Microsoft Visual Basic error while running the report S_ALR_87013614.
    Run-time error '1004'
Method 'Container' of object '_Workbook' failed.
I have searched the forum posts for help. But I only found some details related to Run-time error 1004 related to some excel file security but not related to "Method 'Container' of object '_Workbook' failed".
Could anyone please tell me how this error can be eliminated for the user?
    Regards,
    Lakshmi.

    Dear Arpan,
We too observed a few PIDs along with the one that you have mentioned but they make no difference. Some users who has the PID G_RW_DOCUMENT_TYPE set with some value are getting the report.
Upon further searching we are assuming that it could be an issue with the Microsoft applications or macro settings of the user. But not sure about it.
    Regards,
    Lakshmi Venigala.

  • VB Run time error '1004' in SEM BPS layout

    Hi,
When I run a layout and activate the standard SAP macro, a Visual basic error message " Run Time error '1004' " appears.
This error has been resolved after I made the following settings.
TOOLS --> MACRO --> SECURITY --> Trusted Publishers --> check flag "Trust Access to Visual Basic Project".
Does each user has to make this setting? Isn't there a setting for SAP macros to attach a trusted digital signature that automaticaly takes care of this error w/o having each user make this setting?
I heard, a setting has to be made in Trusted Publishers to accept "SAPAG".
But, I don't see this in Trsuted publishers list.
I don't see this error in Excel 97 but in Excel 2003. How do I know which versions of excel gives this error to educate our users about this error.
    Appreciate any help.

    Hi anil1121,
Since this is not a vb.net issue, and based on your description, I would recommend you post this issue in

  • Run-time error '13' in ALV report

    Hello,
In a standard ALV report we are using Excel report layout. The Excel contains a table and a graph. The excel table refreshes with no errors.
In order to refresh the graph data we recorded a VB Macro but when we run the report (which runs the macro) we are getting the error:
    run-time error '13'
When we open the excel report from our workstation (not trough the SAP system) we are not getting this error.
    Please Advice,

  • MS VB Run-Time Error '13': Type Mismatch

    Hi,
I'm new to the forum, and just starting a trial of RH7 as my
company decides whether we'll upgrade from our X4 product or switch
to a different HAT. Before attempting to import my existing HPJ
project, I opened the sample Application Help project. Frequently
when I switch among topics, I get a Microsoft Visual Basic dialog
box that says Run-Time Error '13': Type Mismatch. I have to click
the End button to close the dialog box. Does anyone have any idea
what causes the error? I got that error also in X4 when switching
among topics in my own project (on a different computer).

    Hello Brian,
I'm thrilled!!! Your clue was enough to set me in the right
direction, so after spending many hours searching for the solution
to this problem lately and in the past, it appears to finally be
solved. Initially just unchecking the other add-ins didn't do the
trick, and the situation seemed to get worse and worse--I couldn't
save files because Word kept giving me error messages that macros
were disabled (which I didn't know how to rectify), and RH kept
freezing. I noticed after a while that the RoboHelp menu in Word
would have disappeared when RH froze, and that the template would
have changed to Normal.dot. If I reattached the RoboHelp.dot
template, RH would unfreeze, but later the template would switch
back to Normal and RH would freeze again. I was initimidated to
edit the registry. Finally I came upon this page
    http://personal-computer-tutor.com/NNTWord.htm
where the author Linda gave the path to the Word startup folder
where I found some templates whose filenames were preceded by
tildes (corrupt?). I deleted those and other junk and I temporarily
deleted the normal.dot template at Linda's suggestion. Since then,
the run-time errors have no longer occurred and the other problems
have not recurred. I THINK I'm back on track! I'm thrilled because
my boss encouraged me to uninstall and re-install Office and
migrate to different HAT, a time-consuming process I'd rather avoid
at least until the current release is completed. Thank you so much
    for your help!!

  • Run Time Error 429 - ActiveX Controls CRAXDRT.DLL Dependancy

    Post Author: mhamlyn
    CA Forum: Deployment
After upgrading from Crystal Reports 11.0 to 11.5 we have found that when deploying an application and bundling it in Install Shield we continually get an error when trying to view crystal reports:
    Run-time error '429':ActiveX component can't create object
From what we can see this is partly caused by the incorrect setup of the craxdrt.dll dependancey file, point to previous versions of business objects i.e.
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\3.0\bin
    Where it should be
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\3.5\bin
Even after editing this file and amending the correct locations we still get this error. Has anybody had any success in resolving this. There are lots of forum posts but no diffinitive answers!
This is an extremelly frustrating problem!

    Hi Shane,
Here is another way to create PDF with Macro using another API than Distiller. This API is faster too.
Probably this post is not of interest anymore but here is how I have done it:
    1. Download PDFCreator: http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/
    2. Use the following Macro:
    Option Explicit
    Sub printPDFmacro()
    'Author : Ken Puls (www.excelguru.ca)
'Macro Purpose: Print to PDF file using PDFCreator
    ' (Download from http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/)
' Designed for early bind, set reference to PDFCreator
    Dim pdfjob As PDFCreator.clsPDFCreator
    Dim sPDFName As String
    Dim sPDFPath As String
'/// Change the output file name here! ///
    sPDFName = "Facture-" & nclient2 & " le " & Format(Date, "yyyy-mm-dd") & ".pdf"
    sPDFPath = "E:\Partenaire Scolaire\Comptabilite\Factures"
    PDFFileName2 = sPDFPath & "\" & sPDFName
    Set pdfjob = New PDFCreator.clsPDFCreator
    With pdfjob
    If .cStart("/NoProcessingAtStartup") = False Then
    MsgBox "Can't initialize PDFCreator.", vbCritical + _
    vbOKOnly, "PrtPDFCreator"
    Exit Sub
    End If
    .cOption("UseAutosave") = 1
    .cOption("UseAutosaveDirectory") = 1
    .cOption("AutosaveDirectory") = sPDFPath
    .cOption("AutosaveFilename") = sPDFName
    .cOption("AutosaveFormat") = 0 ' 0 = PDF
    .cClearCache
    End With
    'Print the document to PDF
    ActiveSheet.PrintOut copies:=1, ActivePrinter:="PDFCreator"
'Wait until the print job has entered the print queue
    Do Until pdfjob.cCountOfPrintjobs = 1
    DoEvents
    Loop
    pdfjob.cPrinterStop = False
'Wait until PDF creator is finished then release the objects
    Do Until pdfjob.cCountOfPrintjobs = 0
    DoEvents
    Loop
    pdfjob.cClose
    Set pdfjob = Nothing
    end sub
Have any questions, just have to poke me.

  • Template Builder not found followed by Run-time error '429'

    Hello,
I am having problems with BI Publisher.
I am running the application on a Windows 2003 server via a Citrix connection using Word 2007 (SP2) (multilingual French/English). On this forum, I have seen numerous threads about this type of error but none seems to be working for us.
    Symptoms:
I installed BI Publisher with admin rights (account A) and it works fine using this account
    I copy the TBCrosstab.dot, TemplateBuilder.dot, WordAnalyzer.dot in another User Profile "%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Word\STARTUP" (Account B)
All macros are enabled in account B
The Add-ins menu shows but when I click on Connection I get the Template Builder not found error followed by Run-time error '429'
I uninstall BI Publisher from Account A and install it using account B
It now works fine with account B but I get the error messages in account A...
Does BI Publisher work using multiple accounts on a single machine?
    Thanks

Did you find a solution to this problem?

  • Excel run time error (Essbase caused?)

Currently I'm getting an error whenever I open files in Excel that seem to be pointing to an Essbase XLL file called essexcln.xll. I've searched the web and find that most of the causes relate to:
    1. The essexcln.xll file being installed in the wrong location, whcih is not the case with this situation as I have verfieid its in the C:\Hyperion\AnalyticServices\bin folder
    2. The add-in wasn't installed correctly, which also isn't the case as everything was installed correctly and Essbase works fine on this machine.
The files being opened do not have macros so that also doesn't seem to be the issue.
Anyone have any thoughts on what this could be? Could it be something simple that I'm overlooking?
BTW, the exact error is a pop-up box with the following:
"The file you are trying to open, essexcln.xll, is in a different format than that specidied by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the file now?"
If I click "Yes", I get another VBA error:
"Run time error 53. File not found essexcln.xll"

    Cause
ARBORPATH, ESSPATH, HYPERION_HOME, ESSLANG do not exist as the Add In was installed with a normal user account NOT the administrator one.
    Solution
    1. Log into the Client Machine with administrator access.
    2. Re-install the Essbase client.
    3. Check the environment variables to see if the PATH and ARBORPATH, HYPERION_HOME,ESSLANG exist.

  • Run-time Error '-2147467259 (80004005)':

    Hi,
We have Business Explorer (SAP BW 3.x), and Microsft Office 2007 with Web Component for 2007 installed on User Machines.
When user login through SAP Enterprise Portals 7.0, and try to run a BW Layout which open Microsoft Excel and asks to enable Macros, once we click "Enable Macros" button, we got the following Visual Basic Error: Run-time Error '-2147467259 (80004005)':
    Please advice.

    Hi,
seems so it is kind of permission related error.
    http://www.computerperformance.co.uk/Logon/code/code_80004005.htm
Either your users do not have the right access to something local or if it tries to connect back to the server (or something like that) it does not have the right permissions.
Hope this is at least a good start.

  • How to display "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error In Function Panel" dialog?

I'm learning how to develop an IVI-C specific driver using LabWindows/CVI. When I run my function from its function panel and it returns an error, I would like to display a dialog with both the error code and error message (as opposed to simply returning an error code on the function panel). This would save the user from having to call Prefix_error_message() to translate the error code to its error message. NI-DCPower driver is a good example of this behavior (see attached error dialog). How do I show the "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error In Function Panel" dialog? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
    Attachments:
    ErrorDialog.png ‏8 KB

    Hi Shawn,
Thank you for replying to my post. The checkErr is just an error handling macro defined in ivi.h to goto Error: tag when the function returns a non-zero value. I have been using the checkErr macro (as well as viCheckErr and other macros) in my driver.
Using the same hp34401a specific driver as an example, please allow me to explain my question in more details:
Let's take the hp34401a_close function as an example. It is a simple function with only a few lines of code:
When the hp34401a_close function is run from its front panel using an invalid session handle (e.g. "8" in this screen capture):
You will get three "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error" popup dialogs, one from each of the IVI library functions that it calls: Ivi_LockSession, Ivi_UnlockSession, and Ivi_Dispose. However, there is no "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error" popup dialog from the hp34401a_close itself.
My IVI-C specific driver is behaving identical to the hp34401a specific driver.
In comparison, if run niDCPower_close function from its front panel using an invalid session handle (using the same "8" in this screen capture):
You will only get one "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error In Function Panel" from the niDCPower_close function itself:
I think the behavior of niDCPower driver is much better than the hp34401a driver. It replaces the three "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error" popup dialogs from the IVI library with a single "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error In Function Panel" popup dialog from the driver function itself. I would like to do the same thing with my driver but have not figured out how to display a "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error In Function Panel" dialog. Thanks in advance for your help!

    Thanks
    Jeff

Happy to hear that you have solved your problem.
Just to be clear, there is no problem in using lowercase letters for control ID, but since the usual CVI behaviour is to use uppercase letters I was wondering if you created the control by yourself and if it could be a wrong one.
CVI does not really address controls by name: if you see in the include file associated to the UIR you'll see that PANEL_CONTROL is really a macro with an associated value, which is the one the program really uses (see my first post to understand how PlotY operates; the same happens for all functions that operate on control like Get/SetCtrlVal or GetSetCtrlAttribute for example).
Neither CVI operates any cross check between the panel handle and the control you are addressing: that's why I pointed you to the panel handle value, to be sure that you are not operating on a control using the handle of a different panel, a situation that may happen if you are using more than one panel at a time.
These are the reasons that may rise an 'incorrect control type' error.
Proud to use LW/CVI from 3.1 on.

If I have helped you, why not giving me a kudos?
