Made Partial Payment Towards Account

Hi there,
I hope you can help me.
I set up a DD with yourselves for my Total Broadband Account, unfortunately the bill this month is coming out at a bad time for me (29 Nov) and I made a partial payment towards it of £25 on 17 Nov, to try and take the amount coming out on the DD due date down a bit, but I have just noticed as I am on the whole bill scheme that it won't register.
Can someone help me by either changing my payment plan or by refunding me my money?
Thanks.

  • Partial payment in Accounts receivables aging

    Dear Friends,
In FIAR_C03 cube we have Item status field and only two values are comming there
    O or C.
But in R/3 there are partial payment concept. BI considering partial payment as a open item.
    Example
We have a invoice of  10,000 USD
now one payment of 5,000 came from customer side and we settled 5,000 against above invoice
    now remaining is 5,000.
means 5,000 of payment and 5,000 of invioce should be closed or cleared . But this is not the case becuase of invoice
is not fully settled. When invoice will settled fully then it will become cleared.
using open item we are making our AR aging but now 5,000 payment is still open actually its
cleared and net due date of this payment is diffrent then net due date of invoice thats why
these two entries are comming in two diffrent ages.
How can we handle this scnario in SAP BI durring making of AR aging.
    Any help highly appriciated.
    Thanks with regards,
    Malik

    Hi
It shows only Open Item as the partial payments can not be maintained through the Info Cubes. Because Info Cubes always Addition concept.(Hope you are using Reverse/inversion field here for fetching the data to BI side)
You can Use DSO for this purpose as it has the Over write functionality but still your problem is not solved because it shows the Open here also, But can trace the changes through Change log table.
Try to use 2 Info Objects to map with both the Open and Clear because you have partial payment concept is one way OR
Take functional Team help to create one more Item as Partial Concept would be the Best option in your case to report correctly either by Cube/DSO.
    Hope it helps and clear

  • Partial payment in Accounts payable

    Hi,
I have entered 100000 INR invoice for a vendor and the terms relating to cash discount are within 10 days 3% and within 20 days 2% and 30 days net amount. So I have paid 30000 INR as partial payment. Is the 3% cash discount applicable to 30000 INR? How much the remaining amount and where we can see the remaining amount?

    Hi ,
Discount will not calculated for the partial payment as Per the conditions you have provided. Terms of Payment will work in 2 ways 1. direct discount and another is installment method. for Direct discount if you do Payment for full amount i.e in your case 100000 then with in 10 days then only you will get discount of 3% or if payment done in 20 days you will get 2%. but if payment is done in PARTIAL .. Dicount will not given.. as Per Standard SAP.
If you want to get discount on Partial amounts ..then go for INSTALLMENT Method..
Hope the above clarifies your doupts.
    Thanks

  • Flag to identify if Partial payment made to Accoutning document

    Hi,
I've an issue with a scenario presented to me. I'm an ABAPer.
I have a set of FI documents in a Z-table which are open. We check if they have migrated to BSAD (Customer Closed AR) and decide if they are open or closed.
The issue currently is; if a partial payment has been made against it, as per my understanding
    1) For Partial Payment method, the original document is open and a clearing docuement is created with the paid amount.
    2) For Residual Item method, the original document is closed and an open document with the residual amount is created in BSID.
But for checking if a partial payment is made; and if yes, by which method; is there any kind of flag field of such, which indicates a partial payment made againt the original docuement.
Comparing invoice references and checking them in BSAD/BSID is not feasible in my case as I've close to 5,000,000 accounting documents to be checked against. This would result in a lot of SELECT queries on NON-KEY fields (Invoice reference-REBZG)
Would aprreciate if someone could please clarify if such a field exists.
    Thanks and Regards

  • How do I cancel, modify, or update my checking account payment on the day (today) it was made to my Verizon account?

This morning, after viewing my bank account status that indicated a little over 218 in my account, I made a payment on my Verizon account of 148.82. At the end of this initial payment to my Verizon account, I was told “You may cancel a checking account payment on the day it posts to your account. The amount will be reversed from your account balance.”
I revisited my bank account a little later, to see if this payment had been posted. It had not, but the current status had then changed due to an auto-payment on another account that I had forgotten about, leaving my account with a balance of only 116. I need to change or reverse my payment to Verizon and submit it for 110 until Tuesday of next week (03 June 2014).
I've called Verizon billing department, but have been unable to reach a representative due to the high volume of calls, and the call was disconnected. If I am unable to rectify this today, my payment to Verizon will cause charges to my bank account of $40.00 and a late fee to my Verizon account.
The on-line website does not have a provision for it that I can locate. How can I do this???
Thanks for the automated contact service that is not well thought out from the user perspective, for efficient customer or public use.  I find this to be most typically within most companies that provide an automated service for their clients.

    Can I view and/or cancel a pending payment?Yes, to view and/or cancel a scheduled one-time payment:
Go to the Pay Bill page in My Verizon.
Click Scheduled Payment to view the pending payment on your account.
If you’d like to cancel the payment, follow the onscreen prompts to cancel it.
    You’ve successfully canceled your payment.
What if I need to stop a payment that has already been made?If you want to cancel a payment that has already been made, please contact your bank or credit card company to see if the payment or charge to your account can be stopped.
Note: If you made an online payment through your checking account, you may be able to cancel that payment online from the Payment History page in My Verizon.
Click on the Cancel link next to the payment, if one is available, and follow the onscreen prompts to cancel the payment.
If the link isn’t available, the payment isn’t eligible to be canceled online. The option to cancel is typically only available until midnight on the same day the payment was made.

  • Partial payment tab problem when clearing two open items in vendor account

    Dear All,
I have the problem with partial payment procedure.
As SAP is presenting the process, partial payment should work as follows (i.e. with vendor):
    1. Incoming invoice is posted -> Credit -100
    2. Credit note is posted  -> Debit +20
    3. Payment (without clearing) is posted to vendor account -> Debit +50
I'll run transaction F-44 and go to tab "Partial payment".
I see 3 items (as above).
    I mark Item -100 and +20
I double click in filed next to -100 and it changes to -20
An now it should make no posting but only assignemet of one item to another.
But in my case, if I click "save" icon, it makes postings Debit 20 and Credit -20 on vendor account.
Is there any possibility that such clearing will not generate any posting but just make assignement of one item to another. Or maybe there is something wrongly configured in the system. At the moment the partial payment makes some kind of residual items.
    Thanks in advance for replay.
    Best regards
    Greg

    Hello,
Yes, it's right, whenever we clear vendor or custmoer account, the system creates document, but as I remeber from other instalations, the document had header but there was no postings.
It case described, the system creates posting:
    40       Vendor      20 EUR
    50       Vendor      20 EUR
This is strange for me. As ther should be clearing document but with no postings.
Have you got any idea how to configure the system, so partial payment tab in clearing transactions creates clearing document but with no phisical postings.
    Best regards
    Greg

  • I cannot see the Inv total on my check stub when a partial payment is made

On my check stub in SAP B1 (PLD layout) I would like to see the actual invoice total and then what payment was applied separately when a partial payment is made.
Currently the Invoice total shows the same amount being paid when its a partial payment.  For example:
    invoice total = 125.00
    Partial payment made = 100.00
    Balance on Invoice = 25.00
On the check stub it shows the 100.00 as the invoice total and 100.00 as the amount paid...
How can I get it to show the 125.00 and then the 100.00?  Is there a system variable that will pull in the Invoice total other than the 96 currently used in a PLD?  Because that changes when you make the partial payment
    Thanks

  • Accounts Payable - Tracking of Advances & Partial payment against Invoice

I want to co-relate the advance payment and various partial payments made to one vendor with the specific Invoice. Can you please suggest the wayout?
Suppose I have made down payment to Mr. A. Then I have booked the invoice against which various part payments have been made. Now I want to know the pending due amount against the particular invoice. How can I track the same?

    Hi Kapil,
    My suggestion would be -
Use the reference field to update the Invoice number in all the documents - Down payment, Invoice posting and the partial payments.
The reference field is editable even after the document is posted. So, you can update the down payment document also once you recieve the invoice.
Now, from FBL1N, you can sort/filter by the reference field and find out the balance to be paid for a particular invoice.

  • Partial Reconciliation on Payment on Account

I am working on SAP Business One 2007 A Patch Level 38:
I understand the usefulness of Partial Reconciliation but am having the following problems when it is used in conjunction with a "Payment on Account".  Here is the scenario.
I have a Customer who sends us a payment in advance of $10,800 and we choose to (on the Incoming Payments window) post it as a "Payment on Account".  Later, we have an A/R Invoice cut to this customer for $800.  I go to the Internal Reconciliation window on the Business Partner and change the "Amount to Reconcile" from the resulting "Payment on Account" row from $10,800 to $800 and press the "Reconcile" button.  Unfortunately, SAP automatically takes my remaining $10,000 and posts it to the Miscellaneous Income account.  If this was an A/R Credit Memo instead of a Payment on Account, it would have just left the $10,000 open and available on the Business Partner.  Can you please explain why SAP is moving this money automatically over to Miscellaneous Income and/or advise how to prevent this?  I have tried to use an A/R Down Payment Invoice also and as long as the money was from a "Payment on Account", it takes the difference and posts it to Miscellaneous Income.  Currently, my only option I see would be to create a manual journal entry and move money back from the Miscellaneous Income account back onto the Business Partner account - not a preferred method.
Thank you in advance for your reply.

    Hello Kerstin,
Thank you for your reply.  Yes, I have not created any adjustment at the time of reconciliation but the computer has automatically generated an adjustment for me.  To confirm it is the computer that has generated it, there is no means "reversal" checkbox that you get when you create a manual journal entry.  In addition, the software automatically fills in the "Remarks" with "Manual Reconciliation Transaction".  I agree with what you say that it makes most sense that no journal entry would be created (and that the money would remain with the business partner) - that is the functionality I suppossed would occur.  We have a test company here and I have tried this a number of times and, provided I am reconciling against a "Payment on Account", the software automatically generates an "Adjustment".  Is it possible there is a setting for this somewhere?  Not to impose, does anyone else have a 2007A version (test company) and have this same event occur?  Perhaps it is intentionally designed this way . . . but I kind of hope it is not - not convenient.
Thanks in advance for any further reply.

  • How to maintain payment term when incoming partial payment is made.

    Hi SAP Experts
I have a customer invoice with payment term as follows:
after 60 days close day limit 10
    fixed day : 10
    payment term :
Term 1 Percentage 4% No of days 15
Term 2 Percentage 4% No of days 30
Term 3 Fixed date 10 additional months 2
after 60 days close day limit 20
    fixed day : 20
    payment term :
Term 1 Percentage 4% No of days 15
Term 2 Percentage 4% No of days 30
Term 3 Fixed date 20 additional months 2
after 60 days close day limit 31
    fixed day : 31
    payment term :
Term 1 Percentage 4% No of days 15
Term 2 Percentage 4% No of days 30
Term 3 Fixed date 31 additional months 2
Default for Baseline date calculation : Posting Date
When i enter a incoming partial payment, the due date is recalculated.
Therefore my due date for the following customer is always extended.
Can you advice me what I can do to do a partial payment but also maintain the due date?
    Shakeer

    Hi Shakeer,
    Please see below points.
    1. When you post the cutomer invoice based on the described payment term logic by you, system should logically split the Tranaction amount as described in Payment terms. So is that happening? Hope I am not missing anything. Aslo just validate whether you are creating the Payment terms in the right manner.
    2. I am just thinking may be if you default the Baseline date to Doument data, would that help.
In the mean time I am trying to create the same scenario, to see the impact.

  • FI-FM: Partial clearing on account assignment (tcode fmfg_aapay)-No open items found

    Hello!
We have activated business function PSM_USFED_PPAP3, then :
    -  Federal Government Functionality - activated ;
    - settings in Financial Accounting (new)---> Basic Settings --> Ledgers --> Partial clearing on account assignment:
                   - Activate partial clearing by acc.assignment:   Check
                   - Maintain relevant ledger for Split view : no entries maintained (there is only one ledger "FM", which is the leading ledger, no special purpose ledgers)
                   - Set supported document types: KR
                   - Set payment block: B
    Other settings:
         - FM activated, update profile 000101, document splitting (method 00...012), splitting characteristics: vobelnr, knbelnr, fipos, geber, gsber, fkber;
document type KR : business transaction 0300 (vendor invoice).
When we use tcode FMFG_AAPAY no open items are found (message FMFG_AAPAY009), even though there is a vendor invoice posted (tcode FB60, document type KR). The invoice is displayed in FBL1N as an open item and it is split according to the splitting characteristics (e.g. table fagl_splinfo is showing the split vendor items).
Can you, please, explain why there are no open items found in FMFG_AAPAY?
    Thank you!

    Dear all,
I am closing this issue since I got the solution apart from the mentioned above.
There is no need to change the Document Type since that will only change the Document type for e.g. from KZ to ZR, nothing will happen in the accounting entry.
Solution was there in the "Posting rule" which i defined for making Cheque Payment.
There are options of "Posting Type" - 1 which is for "Post to G/L Account" - In this case, system will Post the following entry Dr. Outgoing Bank Account & Cr. Main Bank Account without looking for any "Open Item".
Posting Type" - 4 is for "Clear Debit G/L Account", menans that if you are having "Open Items" and you want to clear those then only use this posting key.
While testing I had not posted any payment to vendor in Bank Outgoing Account hence no question of having "Open Items" in Bank Outgoing Account. And I had made the selection of "Posting Type" - 4, which require "Open Items" for direct clearing, hence was getting the subject error.
    This is for everybodies information.

  • How to apply an invoice to a payment on account using Internal Rec?

As the link invoices to previous payments is now replaced by the new Internal Reconciliation Engine, you now need to perform a Business Partner internal reconciliation.
This seems like quite a cumbersome process.
    The steps are:
    1. Open the Business Partner
    2. Select Internal Reconciliation
    3. Select the payment (which you made previously on account)
    4. Select the invoice which you would like to apply the payment towards
    5. If the payment and the invoice don't exactly match, you now need to create a journal. So where does the other side of the entry go? One side is automatically filled in for you, being the Business Partner, the other side goes where?
If you put the other side as the Business Partner, the journal will post, but you get a mess when you look at the BP balance:
    There will be:
RC - receipt on account  $50
    IN - invoice $80
JE - Journal for the difference ($30)  (negative)
JE - Journal for the difference $30
None of these go away if you tick the 'Display Unreconciled Trans. Only' option.
How do others get around this?

    Hi John......
There are two aspects of doing internal reconciliation.
    1. you want to reconcile part Invoice amount against Payment on Account
    2. You want to reconcile part Invoice amount against payment on account and accounting for rest amount of invoice should be gone to rate difference account and which you dont want to pay to your vendor.
So the thing you are asking about the differnce amount should go to rate difference account.
When you do the reconciliation just select the difference amount for Journal entry where diff. amount say $30 will go to rate difference account.........
    Hope this will help you......

    Dear Expert
My query was about Part payment process about customer , In AP there is a process for doing part payment in Vendor  Same kind of a process am looking for Customer too
    PARTIAL PAYMENT FOR APP PROCESS
Some time we face the issue in which client want to pay partial invoice only that to via automatic
Payment program, so in order to make it feasible what all steps will be required from configuration point of view has been explained below.
    Configuration steps:
    1) Maintain Account Configuration TCODE: FBKP Select the Sp.G/L-P
    2) Maintain Payment Program: TCODE: FBZP
Path: SPRO - Financial Accounting - Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable - Business Transactions - Outgoing Payments - Automatic Outgoing Payments - Payment Method/Bank Selection for Payment Program - Set Up All Company Codes for Payment Transactions
Go to “ALL COMPANY CODES” screen maintain the Sp. G/L – P in the field Sp. G/L transactions to be paid.
    3) Post Vendor Invoice and Block for Payment TCODE: FB60 / F-43
    Path: Easy Access – Accounting - Financial Accounting - Accounts Payable - Document entry - FB60 – Invoice / F-43 - Invoice – general
Example you made invoice for 25000
    4) F-59 - Payment request: TCODE: F-59
Path: Easy Access – Accounting - Financial Accounting - Accounts Payable - Document entry - F-59 - Payment request
Here you would like to pay only 20000 out of 25000 so change the amount to 20k and save it
    5) Payment Run TCODE: F110
Path: Easy Access – Accounting - Financial Accounting - Accounts Payable - Periodic Processing - F110 – Payments
    6) Vendor balances after F110 TCODE: FBL1N (After processing you can check the clear amount here)
