Mail Adaptor

Hi Guys,
Iam a beginner of XI. Can you help me for this scenario.
Need to send a mail to User from XI side using RFC adaptor after creating sales order in R/3 side using the flat file in XI side.
All the Mapping process has been done for Mail adaptor and RFC adaptor.
In RFC adaptor i have configured BAPI function modules, every thing is working fine now.
But the issue is:
1. Even the muti level item sales order created, the mail has only one line item.
My question is CAN WE LOOP THE BAPI FUNCTION MODULE? OR ANY OTHER SOLUTION IS THERE?
2. Even the sales order doesnot created, but mail has triggered and shows sales order created susccessfully like that..
Question is: CAN WE RESTRICT THE MAIL TRIGGERING AFTER SALES ORDER CREATED?
If it possible please let me know.

The issue has now been resolved.
We have a few more queries....
1. How can we attach two (or more) files. (In case of Message protocol=XIALL we do get two attachments but one is system details and the next is the whole file from sender. The system details in the first atachment includes the details of the agreements and determinations).
2. How can we change the type of the attachment? eg. instead of xml or txt can we have an .doc or .csv.
3. How can we give content and attachments in a single go?
and finally
4. How can we change the name of the attachment? ie by default it generates a paylod-xxxxxxxxxxxxx. can we rename it to our requirement?

When I am trying F4 in the default namespace/Interface I am not getting any option also these values are fixed as http://sap.com/xi/XI/Mail/30 as I have observed in varios blogs and examples

Mail adaptor throws error

Hi,
My scenario is file to mail.
Adaptor Monitor of Mail adaptor throws the follwoing error.
"error occured: [2005-05-05T11:42:54Z] unable to call the mailer; com.sap.aii.messaging.srt.BubbleException: Failed to call the endpoint [null "null"]; nested exception caused by: com.sap.aii.messaging.srt.BubbleException: Unsupported protocol for XMBMailCallerService: http [null "null"]"
What could be the solution for this?

Email distribution list in mail adaptor

Hi,
I am using mail adaptor / mail map to send email notificaiton, it works fine for single email id or multiple but not working for email distribution list which starts with "#". Is there any configuration required?

Hi Menaga,
Distrubutor mail id is like simillar to normal mail id, but internally it contains the number of mail ids.
Ask your network team to create the distributed mail id (in this mail id how many mail ids you want you can put that mail ids).
and configure that distributed mail id like you configure in the normal mail id.

Error in Receiver Mail Adaptor

Hi mates,
I get the following error RWB for my receiver adapter.
Mail: error occured: java.io.IOException: server not responding OK to AUTH; 535 5.7.3 Authentication unsuccessful.
Exception caught by adapter framework: Failed to call the endpoint
Delivery of the message to the application using connection AFW failed, due to: Failed to call the endpoint.
What does it mean? Any problem with the SMTP URL that I've provided?
I appreciate ur inputs.

I fixed the issue.
I had to give full mail address in User name field like [email protected] instead of abc.

Mail Adaptor : How to extract particular Mail from the mail server?

I have a requirement where I need to extract all the new mails with a aprticular Subject line to the XI and then forward it to the receiveing system.My problem is that the actual payload is situated in the Mail attachment which I will use in my scenarion but the filtering has to happen based upon the mail subject.
I am not able to deal as the filtering and usage of payload are diffrent,need help in this regard

As far as i know Mail adapter wouldnt be able to do anything of this sort.It will read all mails which it has never read before.You should use the mail Server for this.

Receiver Mail Adapter message with PDF attachment

We are trying to generate emails from the mail adapter that includes the plain text in the body of the resulting email and an attached PDF file. We receive the following structure:

I have set up an interface and mail adapter to be able to produce emails with plain text in the body. I used SAP note 748024 for this.
So right now I can make XI send emails with dynamic mail addresses. My problem lies in sending attached files with the mails as well.
I have read most of the threads in here, but none of them seem to answer just how to include the attachment. Which field in the 'Mail' message type is used for the attachment??
What needs to be added to the communication channel and adapter for it to include attachments, while the body of the mail still keeps the plain text message??

Column header in receiver mail adapter

Hi experts,
I have a proxy to mail scenario in which I send a mail with a file attached.
Is it possible to put column headers in the attachment, possibly without changing the mapping?
I mean, working with module configuration in communication channel?

Text Attachment in Mail Adapter

Hi, I have Proxy-XI-Mail scenario.
I want to send the mail as TEXT attachment.But the Text is coming as Mail content.

Configuring the Receiver Mail Adapter

Hi,
I have to send data in a flat file via email using XI. I have configured a File adapter to read the XML file from sender. I have configured receiver mail adapter at the other end. I get success message in the SMXB_MONI transaction. But no mail is received.
My receiver communication channel settings are as follows:
Adapter type: Mail
Transport protocol: SMTP
Message protocol: XIPAYLOAD
Adapter Engine: Integration Server
URL: smtp://mail.xyz.com:25
Mail Attributes: Use Mail package (Source file has from/to Email Addresses)
I tried differnet cmobinations of SMTP server address (with/without port/using http:// etc), but no success.
Can anyone tell me what the problem could be and how to go about this?

Mail package in receiver mail adapter

Hi ,
I am trying to put XIPAYLOAD with USE mail package option.I have gone through the blogger posted my Michal on this...
when I download the Document mentioned in the blog for mailpackage to create the message do I need to use the namespace "http://sap.com/xi/XI/Mail/30" as it is or I need to replace the namespace in the document with my namespace...
some one could you please explain it little clearly...what is the use of this namespace..and how do I exactly proceed to make use of this document...

On mapping validation send e-mail on errors

I would like to be able to send an e-mail if the mapping comes up with an error.
I have a field (Supplier ID) and if its blank during the message mapping I want it to send an e-mail.
I have all the objects ready to send emails e.g. Mail adaptor etc, but need to know what to do in the mapping and how this works?

Yes, this can be done from mapping.

Create a UDF and raise an exception if field is blank. Use Alert to capture this exception and send mail.
My advice is not to use this in mapping. Check this in an adapter module or enhanced receiver determination and then you can easily route it to a mail receiver if not okay.
If you want to use it in mapping, then it cannot be achieved without BPM.
