Mail Details

Is there any way to have a copy of a new email that I create sent to a particular folder in my email list. Please do not suggest SmartMailboxes. I've tried this.
On the toolbar under message, there is a drop down that indicates I can select "Copy To." Folders are listed but the menu is grayed out.
Is there a place to indicate whether I want emails that I create copied or NOT?
I am struggling to get the program to save ONLY the emails that I want to save--not the whole kit and caboodle.
Please help me.

Lizz, your email boxes should not be gray when you select the Copy to... feature. You must select the mail message first, just highlight it when you click on the message, no need to open it all the way.
For frequent mails you can set up rules that put messages in any mailbox you have created. This does not work directly for mail going OUT (no clue why) but works well for mails coming IN.
For out going mails, I just open the SENT mailbox every now&then, select all and apply the rules by pressing alt-apple-L

Firefox4.01 can mot load yahoo mail detail page, just blank content

These days, when i login my yahoo mail as usual on firefox4.01, i can see the mail box and mail list page. When i click one mail then it should open a new window in yahoo mail page and show this mail's details. But there is just show me a blank window with this mail's topic and no detail content. If i login on IE, it is ok.

I've been unable to search email "message" body ever since getting Verizon. I can search fine by sender, subject, etc, but when I try to search "message" I get a Verizon error message (not a browser error) stating: "We were unable to perform your request. Please try again." I've called tech support, and they tried to say this is some sort of broswer issue. It ISN'T, because again this is a verizon message coming up, and the other searches work fine. This has never worked in MONTHS, and I'm about ready to switch to another provider, since I need to be able to search my emails. UGGGH......

HT201363 i have forgotten the security code and an e-mail is being sent to an e-mail account which does not exist. How do i change the e-mail details

We have forgotten the security code question and each time I request a reset it is being sent to an e-mail addres which does not exist. How can I change the e-mail address to my current e-mail address. We have put money onto an ITunes account which is asking for this security question. This has never happened before. Any assistance would be appreciated. thank you

Transferring Mail details

I am about to migrate to a new mac but don't want to use a time machine backup as I would like a fresh restart
However I would like to copy my mail data across (rules, mailboxes etc)
Is there a way to do this without using a time machine backup?

From your Inbox, click "Mailbox" in the menu bar and choose "Export Mailbox". Then choose the desired destination making sure the "Export all subfolders" option is checked. That will get all our mailbox and folder data saved. To transfer signatures and rules, navigate to [username]/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/ and copy the Signatures folder, and the SyncedRules.plist and UnsyncedRules.plist files to their corresponding location on your new Mac.

How to get Detail of a mail

i have 20 mails in my mail box(in inbox) i want to get a perticular mail detail and its body how?
what parameter shoud i pass for getting a mail detail when i click to that mail

Explain what you mean by "mail detail".
You can easily access any message in your mailbox by number.
You can also search for a particular message based on content.
Once you have the Message object, you can access all the details of the message.
See the msgshow.java demo program.

Sencronization with iTunes for e-mail account details

I would like to sync with iphone > itunes for my contanct details and calenders.
But when I made it, it also takes the e-mail details automatically that I don't want. Because my iphone works with IMAP and computer (microsoft outlook account)
with POP3. How should I stop it?

E72 - Unable to set up e-mail mailbox after firmwa...

Hi all,
I have a newly acquired E72-1 which has been updated to the latest firmware version 051.018.
I'm trying to set up the e-mail function on my E72 but getting nowhere.
I keep getting to the enter e-mail details/password etc page then…nothing. The mail box has not been set up, each and every time.
From the home screen, I hit setup e-mail>start e-mail setup>start
Then it asks ‘connection needed’ connect to: and I click yes and it shows ‘Preparing setup’…
Then it shows a screen with all the e-mail services, from the top: Ovi Mail, Yahoo Mail, Google Mail, Windows Live, BT Internet, Mail for Exchange, Lotus Notes, Other
From here, if you click on the various choices such as Gmail or windows live for Hotmail, you get the enter user name + password boxes…once these are filled in
You get the detecting e-mail settings tab for a few seconds…then it reverts to the screen showing the e-mail services.
I have tried this dozens & dozens of times without success…no mail boxes have been set up. It just cycles through the setup process each time.
I have even done a Hard reset on the E72 and tried to set up e-mail after…with no luck.
Any suggestions?? I have to say I’m getting very cheesed off as e-mail was the main reason to get the E72!!
Has the Nokia Messaging service been switched off??

I came to this discussion because google indicated it when I searched 'nokia E72 unable to create mailbox'.
'Unable to create mailbox' used to be a huge headache for me to use E72 for over one year and half. I tried to soft and hard reset the device, brought it to Nokia Care Point to spend 15 pounds to re-install the whole system, or call the customer service line again and again for a continuous one year, but the problem still existed. To be honest, I was not satisfied with Nokia customer services at all. The staff at the Nokia Care Point only cared about charging money. After the first re-instalation when the problem still existed, they said I had to pay more to process other checks. In terms of technicians from the customer service line, they were helpless. I called them again and again. Each time when I called, there was a different technicain, and I had to repeat the situation again and again. They only knew to suggest me do the basic reset, including to try *#7370# or to reset factory factory settings, which I had tried over hundreds times. They even used remote control application to install some remote app on my E72 and did some checks from their ends, but still it didn't help. When the technician realised he/she didn't have another method, they promised to call me back later, but they never did. I was so disappointed with their service. It took around an hour or longer each time I called. When the problem couldn't be fixed, I had to call again and repeat the problem from the beginning again to a new line advisor. It was so time and money consuming!!!! And what was the most annoying was that they were not helpful! After such torturing experience, the problem still existed! It was a frustrating and exhausting experience from 05.2011 to this year 06.2012... I gave up Nokia in the end, though it used to be my favourate phone.
Sorry to make such a long complaint. I just want to provide a feedback to Nokia, so as to let them know that their poor service and products are losing former loyalty clients.

Right, back to the problem, 'unable to create mailbox'. Finally, I figured out what the problem was. It was a conflict between the device E72 and network provider, O2, for my case.
I am in the uk and use monthly contract of O2 sim card. The O2 network provides three kinds of data package: O2 Active, O2 Mobile network, and O2 Pay&Go. When I create mailbox or use Maps GPS, it access to the internet via O2 Par&Go by default, no matter how I set the priority of the connection destination. But when I changed the access point to O2 Active or O2 Mobile Network, the mailbox was able to be created and Maps app was able to recevie GPS data.
So here is my solution.
1) Hardset the device. Remember to backup all the data beforehand.
The method is to press Shift+Space+Backspace together with the power button when the device is powered off. Press until the device is restarted and the main screen, normally it should be Nokia's two hands joined together image, is seen.
2) Go to menu --> Ctrl. panel --> Settings --> Connection --> Destinations
There, you will find all the access points.
3) Go to Internet
Hopefully you will have the same options as I do, O2 Active, O2 Mobile Web, and O2 Pay&Go
Scroll to O2 Pay&go, click options, choose 'delete' to delete the O2 Pay&go option. (Don't worry to delete it, as the internet can be access to via the other two options without any problem.)
4) Go back to Destinations, do the same to Multimedia msg, WAP services, and Intranet.
Delete any O2 Pay&go options for these category.

Then, your phone should be ready to set up mailbox and to use gps without any problem. That was what happened to my Nokia E72.
Good luck!
Now, I feel my E72 is so powerful after the push mail and GPS function is recovered. But still, I am not satisfied with Nokia's service and will definitely not try any other of its products. Nokia has lost my loyalty and I believe I am not the only one.

How can I get my e-mail addresses working

I synchronize my Touch with outlook 2003. The imported e-mail adresses are mainly unusable. Outlook displays the addresses by the name of the contact instead of the complete address. The touch imports the displayed name and not the e-mailaddress. This means that I can't send mails from the Touch using my imported address book. Who recognizes the problem and who knows how to solve it?

I too sync with Outlook 2003 as well. I am confused on your comment about not being able to send messages from your iPhone. Quick question – I am going to assume that you are working Exchange as well.
Though you may not able to view e-mail details when using the Contact list. When compose a message and start typing a name in the ‘To’ filed the phone starts to filter names and at that point you can see the full e-mail address.
As I mentioned above I seem to have no problems send and receiving messages on my iPhone. If this is not the case can you provide additional information as to what happens when you try to send mail?

Send XML File as attachement in Mail Receiver adapter

Hi all,
i have the following scenario. i would like to read an XML file from the file system and send this file as an attachement of a mail to a mail receiver specified in this file.
i would like to fill the payload of the mail with some information from the xml file and in addition i would like to send the complete xml file as an mail attachement.
can anybody tell me, how the mail receiver adater needs to be specified ?

Hey,
you can go for dynamic configuration of mail adapter.
In this you need to import a mail structure.
mail details such as to, from, subject and content of the mail are a part of the structure.
In your ID check the Use Mail package and also keep attachments.
Now you can give your details in mapping itself.
whatever you want to map in the content of the mail, map it in the content field.
also your file will behave as an attachment.

Configuring Receiver mail adapter with dynamic email addresses

I'm a newbie to XI and I have problems in configuring the Receiver mail adapter with the "Use Mail package" option selected. I am trying pickup a file (using file adapter on Sender side, picks up a simple XML file) and after mapping in XI, send the message as an email message to dynamic email addresses.
Everything works fine if I did not select the "Use Mail Package". But when I choose that option it errors out. I followed this blog posted on SDN -

What I want to accomplish is, I have a simple message mapping where the Studentdetails are mapped to, lets say Customer details. For convenience lets keep it simple, StudentId --> Customerid, (student)Firstname --> (customer)Firstname, (Student)Lastname --> (customer)Lastname
I would like to get the Customer details as an XML attachment or in the body of an email with from, to and subject corresponding to that specified in the <Mail> node.
I followed the instructions posted on the blog and it works fine if I don't map the studentdetails to customerdetails. I did multimapping, with one source message (the xml file I posted above) and two target messages (customerdetails and Mail, which is the external definition posted on the blog). I beleive I'm missing something here. Could somebody please guide me through this?

I have mapped the <student></student> information to customerlist, with customerid --> studentid and customername --> firstname or lastname (for symplicity). This was a multimapping with one source and two target messages. My test mapping output is

So how would I get this part of the <CustomerlistExternal></CustomerlistExternal> part of the message as an attachment to the mail address specified in the <ns2:Mail></ns2:Mail> tags.
I'm definitely not understanding it right and am missing something. Could you give me step by step instructions to acheive this. I apologize for the trouble..this would be of great help to me.

How to send the entire binary file as Content in mail adapter

Hi,
I have the below scenario:
A binary file is there on the XI server and this is more than 1 lines.
This file needs to be sent across to certain email addresses via the XI interface.
I have made the design and config and now get the the mail but so far not been able to get the file contents.
The requiremnet is to send the entire file contents in the mail so that they appear in the body of the received mail.
How do i do it?

I need to map the contents of the incoming payload Contents/Mail/Details (all the 5 instance) to outgoing Missing Content (after To field).
If it can be in Mail body, then it would be best else please suggest what other option can I use?
Also, If i want the file name to be in the subject of the mail, is that possible to be picked up in the configuration?
