Mail is sending drafts to my inbox

So I have 2 mail accounts set up through Mail, a Gmail account and another through my web domain. Within Mail itself, I have no problems, however when I am composing an email or reply on the Gmail account, whenever Mail auto-saves a draft, that draft shows up as an email to myself on my blackberry (which is set up to also receive both email accounts). This doesn't happen when composing an email from my phone, or at all with my other account.
Has anyone else run into this problem? Is there a way to fix this without disabling the draft auto-save? Any help/insight would be amazing as I've grown a bit tired of having to delete 40 emails from my phones inbox every time i write a semi-lengthy email.
Thanks in advance!

We started having the same trouble with our gmail account in the last couple of days. I would say that it's happening every 30 seconds or so.
Our msn email account does not seem to have the same trouble.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Your settings for retaining copies of sent messages are unusual. Is there any particular reason you are copying sent mail to your local sent email folder (i.e. not the Gmail Sent Mail folder), and, why you have the "Place replies in folder of message being replied to" setting enabled?
If you are using Gmail's SMTP server in Thunderbird (which generally you will be), sent items are copied automatically to Gmail's Sent Mail folder, so you would usually keep the "Place a copy in" setting for sent mail items unticked. This is detailed in the blog post I linked above. By enabling this you've now got a locally-stored cache of email sitting on the disk drive of your computer, and it's unknown how closely this matches up with your Gmail account's Sent Mail folder.
Can you try unticking the "Place replies in folder of message being replied to" setting and see if that makes a difference to your duplicates?
Otherwise, if using IMAP and as long as your folder hierarchy and contents in Thunderbird are the same as when viewed in the Gmail web interface (local sent mail folder question notwithstanding) , you can expect this to simply re-sync when you reinstall Thunderbird. For your address books, you'll have to (for example) manually export these (e.g. Tools -> Export). Note that I'm not taking any responsibility for data loss if you go ahead with this, so if in doubt double-check online or look for some professional help. Also refer to the usual help articles for backing up (e.g. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-tb)

  • Mail disappears and re-appears in inbox, drafts and sent not working

I'm doing some troubleshooting for my Mum. She's running Mail under Tiger, and she's been reporting that some times she opens up Mail, and all her mail is missing, but if she tries again later, then it might re-appear. It happens to different mailboxes, but mostly the Inbox. It's an IMAP account, but the problem is definately not that (I've actually changed the mail account hosting, and it's made no difference).
On what I assume is related, and mail she sends, does not appear in the Sent mailbox (it sends fine), and drafts don't save at all.
The only issue I can think of is the way Mail was put on this iMac. Basically it was my sisters iMac, which she passed on to my Mum when she got a new MacBook. She passed it on, already running Tiger, but for some unknown reason, she had deleted Mail from the Mac. I put it back on, by using a the setup disc for my own iMac (both PowerPC) - and extracting Mail 2.0 using Pacifist, which I then just copied across to the the Applications folder. Could this be the origin of the flakey mailboxes? And if so, what should I do?
    Thanks in advance.

she had deleted Mail from the Mac. I put it back on, by using a the setup
disc for my own iMac (both PowerPC) - and extracting Mail 2.0 using Pacifist
Yes, I’m pretty sure that’s the cause of the problem. Mail 2.0 is the version that came with Mac OS X 10.4.0. You haven’t said what’s the version of Mac OS X running on your Mum’s computer, but the version of Mail on a PowerPC-based Mac running Mac OS X 10.4.11, which is what your profile says you have, should be at least 2.1 (2.1.2 if you installed the latest Security Update)...
You should be able to fix the problem by reinstalling the Combo Update for the type of computer and the version of Mac OS X she’s using, to bring Mail back in sync with the rest of the system:
About the Mac OS X 10.4.11 Update
Mac OS X 10.4.11 Combo Update (PowerPC)
Mac OS X 10.4.11 Combo Update (Intel)
After installing the Combo Update, the computer may restart twice and the first restart may take several minutes. This is normal.
Additionally, if she had installed any Security Updates released afterwards that included updates for Mail, you’ll have to reinstall that as well:
    About Security Update 2007-009
    Security Update 2007-009 (10.4.11 PowerPC)
    Security Update 2007-009 (10.4.11 Universal)
You may also want to read the following articles for guidelines on how to properly install system updates:
    Troubleshooting installation and software updates
    Installing software updates
Basically, you should verify/repair the startup disk and back up before installing the update, no applications should be running while installing it, and you may experience unexpected results if you have third-party system software modifications (not normal applications) installed.

    Hi Subhash,
I have done the troubleshooting but I didn't find any problem at server side. I will send you mail also with all EXBPA report and as well DC, HC and Mailbox servers' Application Log and System Log.
Below are the questions's answers which was asked by you:
    1.     Please check whether you can send email via Outlook.
I am not able to open the MS Outlook. Please check all details in this thread : http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchange2010/thread/c491c5c7-7d6f-48ff-97fa-6bf83d94e53c
    2.     Please run EXBPA to have a health scan.
I have run the EXBPA and didn't see any critical Problem. I have took the screen shot and report. Please have a look in below screen shot link:
    a. http://cid-31ba948d0da4d57e.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/.Public/EXBPA.docx                                                                            - Final Report

The error which I received in EXBPA, that allready ignored by you and told that it is bug in EXBPA. Have a look here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchange2010/thread/d4bb03bb-db84-4a8b-83ba-19937d7dcacf
    3.     Please check application log, whether any error event logged there. They could come from ADAccess related error or etc.
I didn't see any ADAccess event on the server. For this I have left my lab PC open and I will check again.
    4.     We find that if mail .que gets corrupt, then this issue will occur, please try to move the affected user to another store and then test the issue.
I am facing this problem with all users (7 users). Anyway I moved one user from one server Mailbox Database (2mbx2010) to Other Server Mailbox Database (mbx2010). After that
    a) Rebooted the Workstation
    b) Login successfully with same user.
    c) Delete the Old MS Outlook Profile
    d) Create New profile for same user without any problem.
    e) Tried to login in MS Outlook and got the same error. : http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchange2010/thread/c491c5c7-7d6f-48ff-97fa-6bf83d94e53c
    f) Open the OWA successfully for Same user.
    g) Tried to send mail but again mail went to Drafts Folder.
    5.     I noticed that you test the issue after you close outlook. I recommend you to reboot your pc and then access
mailbox via OWA to test the issue.
I tried you suggested option, but sorry it also couldn't help.
    6.  You also check your disk space.
All Servers have Enough Disk Space. Check the EXBPA Report.
    7. You may run EXTRA to get log information for further troubleshooting.
      Need more time for this.
    8. Please save application log, system log as *.evt file, then send them with EXTRA,EXBPA report to [email protected] .
I have sent it as your mentioned mail address OR, you can get the mentioned log from below link also:

  • HT2488 How do I create an iCal Alarm to delay send an e-mail in my Drafts folder of Mail?

I've learned how to use iCal Alarm to schedule sending an e-mail.  However, all of the instructions I read say that I have to type the e-mail inside the automator's "New Mail Message". Is there a way to type the message in Mail, save it in drafts, and then create an iCal Alarm to schedule sending it?
I got as far as "Get Specified Mail Items" --> "Display Mail Messages".  This sequence displayed a message in Drafts.  What next to get it to send that message it displayed?  I tried adding "Send Outgoing Message" to the sequence with no success.  And I tried adding "New Mail Message" --> "Send Outgoing Message" to the sequence with no success.
Sometimes there will be several e-mails I want to delay send (some that I started earlier in the day, saved in Drafts and finished up in the wee hours of the morning) and it seems a waste to have to create a new iCal Alarm for each.
    Thank you!

  • Internal mail can not send. mail stored in draft folder.

    Hello all,
I have Exchange server 2010 installled on Win Server 2k8 R2 which is running on VMware workstatione. I installed three server OS (2k8 R2) and that server one is my  AD and DNS server. On another two OS, one is for Hub transport and CAS role and
second one is for Mailbox server. In exchange, I am able to configure new mailbox or Database. But through OWA, my mail cant send. User can able to login into server. He can access OWA page as well can access for Address book. But when I send the mail for
internal user, it is stored in draft folder. also meeting schedule can not send. I am testing exchange in lab environment. Please help me to resolve this issue.

    Hi,
From your description, I recommend you run the Test-ServiceHealth cmdlet to verify if all the Windows services that Exchange server requires have started, especially the Microsoft Exchange Transport service.
If all the services that Exchange server required are started, please use message tracking to trace these undelivered messages and check if there is any error.
    Hope it helps.

  • Mountain Lion Mail.app Sends Email Several Times While Drafting Reply

Using Mail.app in Mountain Lion and the default configuration of Gmail via IMAP (as configured by Mail.app) when I reply to an existing message, Mail.app sends the partially completed email message several times while I am drafting the message, without me hitting the send button. This does not occur when composing new messages. I have not yet determined what is causing the message to send. My working theory is that it is sending the message each time a draft is saved to the server. Any insight on what is happening (or confirmation that other people are experiencing the same behavior) would be appreciated.

I have 4 accounts running, 2 POP and 2 IMAP, after doing some checking today with a mac engineer online, it appears that it is incoming mail only affected and only on the POP accounts. I had previously tried recreating the accounts but as from today even just quitting Mail and reopening no longer works... the engineer has had to exculate my call to a specialist who in turn has now had to send it off to a specialist team to work on. When I get results, I will post them in case it helps someone else.

  • How can I make mail retry sending messages in the Outbox?

    Howdy all,
As the title says how can a force Mail to try to resend the messages in the outbox? I use my MacBook Pro in a number of different environments and when I am on one flakey access point in particular or when I have forgotten to open Safari to reauthorize recently on another network Mail will fail to contact the SMTP server. When this happens my message gets stuck in the outbox to be sent later. My problem is that I do not know how to get it out of there effectively.
Once I have fixed the transitive error in the network (or or the problem fixes itself) how do I get the messages out of the inbox? At this point I can send more messages with no problem and they will happily go out but those in the queue just sit there.
Now, I have tried a number of things like quitting and restarting Mail, bringing the various network interfaces back up and down, and other things to try to trick Mail into sending the queued messages but that has been haphazard at best. I can't help thinking that there is something obvious I am missing.
    Thanks for any help!

Highlight the message in the inbox, double-click on it, and click on the "send" icon
You may even consider BCCing yourself to see whether the message actually goes or not, and you just have an artifact copy stuck in your outbox that you could then just delete.
Otherwise, copy&paste the stuck message body into a new message, and delete the stuck one out of the outbox before attempting to send the new one

  • Notification mail not send

    Hi All,
I have an issue in PR workflow.A notification mail is send to user to approve a PR,but the user says that he did not receive that notification mail.He manually goes to transaction & approve the PR & workflow gets completed.
Please let me know how to find out the cause of this problem. In my workflow log it shows workitem approved by the user.
What can be the cause that notification mail is not send. The user email id is maintained in su01.
    Please help.
    Thanks in advance

    Hello,
    You wrote:
"As he executed that step manually ,automatically the workitem got deleted from the user inbox"
This is not something that happens automatically. Is the workflow listeing out for an event which tells it that the activity represented by the step has already been done?
I assume you mean the user performed the operation that was supposed to be done via the workflow step, not that he performed the workflow step itself. If the workflow log shows that he did perform the step, then the user is mistaken.

  • Classes and methods to send email to SAP inbox

    Hi,
I want an appropriate class and method to send emails to SAP Inbox.
My objective is that i convert spool to PDF and send it to SAP inbox as an attachment.
I've used  'CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF' and 'SX_TABLE_LINE_WIDTH_CHANGE' to generate PDF attachment.
I tried Function modules 'SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1'/'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1' to send email.
It was working fine till now (for last 4 months). Now the Basis team has run some patches due to which the PDFs are getting damaged.
Now the FMs 'SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1'/'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1' seems to be useless.
So i tried some methods in classes cl_document_bcs and cl_bcs. These are working fine for Internet mails but not SAP mails.
Please suggest me some Classes and methods to send the PDF atachments to SAP inbox.

to have all SAP inbox messages into lotus notes inbox you have to sync the same with the use of connectors rather than resending them
    check out this link

for outlook its done using MAPI

  • Alert by mail or Alert by RWB alert inbox....

    Hi
If  I am in setting -> configuration->Smtp forwarding as XML  in order to set up a mail for XI Alert error did that mean that won´t receive alert in the RWB alert Inbox ?
Can I implement both of functionalities (alert by mail and alert in rwb alert inbox ) at the same time ?
Thank U for your feet back

SMTP forwarding as XML will forward the Alert as XML message and will not send a alert to alert inbox . This is standard functionality.
If you want both mail and Alert in Alert inbox , procedure is a bit different,
    1. Do not select SMTP Fowrdingas XML . Let it be none.
    2. Make sure that the recipeient of the alert has the email id associated with him in SU01
    3. Log on to Alert Inbox , and go to Personlization --> TIme Independent Delivery --> Email and this will forward now theAlert to both mail and alert inbox.
Mail will be a text mail though

  • Mail not being able to read inbox/sent mail??

    Hey guys,
I have a system that is running OS X 10.3.9 with Mail: 1.3.11 and it seems to constantly have issues reading the inbox and sent mail folders.
When I launch mail, it shows that I have messages in my inbox and my sent mail but when I go to click on the headers, nothing shows up in the preview screen. Rebuilding my mailboxes and also trying to re-import them into a different box does not help. When I try importing them, the file is not recognizable by the mail importer.
When I restore these mailboxes from back up, mail is able to read them for a few minutes, then it goes right back to the same issue.
Has anyone encountered this and know how to address it or can even tell me what it is?

    Hello,
I've same problem on Mac OS 10.2 system. Only in sent mail box.
Sent mail box appear empty but state bar says 782 messages.
Clicking on a ghost message show selection bar. Double click on subject and subject of message appears, same operation on date, sender...
    Inbox, junk mail work fine.
Other problem : Mail always crash down when I quit application (Application does not respond).
Sure I've repaired files permission, delete preference file, rebuild mail boxes but problem still here.
    Someone can help me ?

  • Can't create system folders like send, drafts, spam, etc.

Recently I've got new HDD and decided to do fresh install of W7 64bit and all the software and one of them was Thunderbird. Got the latest ver from mozilla site, set up all my mailboxes as IMAP. Now all I have on the left site of the Thunderbird window is the name of my email account and inbox folder. I've got 2 accounts in gmail.com domain and 1 in my own domain. When I'm sending mail from account in gmail.com domain, the email is sent ok, but I'm getting massage box with a massage "coping massage to Sent folder " and program never do it. I have to press cancel and chose to don't save sent email, but I do want to have them saved. When I'm sending mails from account in my own domain, again mails are delivered to the recipient ok, but then I've got massage that there was an error saving mail to Send mail. When I press retry it keeps popping this error over and over.
Do you have any suggestions how to resolve that issue?

As gmail advises, 'Place a copy in' should not be selected and the copy should be auto saved in the Sent mail folder on the server.
Make sure you are subscribed to see the Sent Mail folder on the gmail account. At the moment, there is only 'Inbox' showing in the folder pane, so it would seem you have not subscribed to see it.
    Other option:
    TRy this:
On the Copies & Folders tab in the When sending messages, automatically section:
    select: Place a copy in
    select 'Other'
select the 'Sent Mail on gmail mail account'
    click on OK
