Mail time 4 hours ahead

hi everyone,
today i noticed that the time that the phone says my mail is being recieved is 4 hours ahead from the actual time. like right now it's 7:58 pm, i check for mail and the phone says that mail was last checked at 11:58 pm.
i looked around in settings to see if mail runs on different time or something, but nothing was there. tried changing time zones, changing the time, turning automatic time off etc. but the mail time is still 4 hours ahead of the actual time on the phone.
has anyone else had a problem similar to this or know how to fix it?
thanks in advance.

experiencing identical issue as MaimiJAG.
Date&Time is SET ATUOMATICALLY ON
TIME ZONE SUPPORT is ON for Calendar
please let me know if anyone has a solution for this issue. its annoying.

  • Why is my email time an hour ahead of actual time and how do I reset it?

When I send an email, the time stamp is one hour ahead of actual time.
How do I reset the time?

You have to reset the time zone of your email account by going in the settings option... or you have to be selected your country, city & postal code correctlly... & this is the issue of the email provider... For more information i suggest you the help of the email provider is th best..
You can check it by comparing to the any other email provider (ex. Gmail or yahoo mail).. if your email provider does not helps, you can still write it here....

  • Date and Time sync 8 hours ahead!!

    Hey peepl...
I'm not a complete vegetable when it comes to the MAC but my iMAC's problem has me mashed...
I reformatted my hard drive recently so that I could put boot camp on (soiling my MAC with windows software!!) and then restored everything from my Time Machine backup but ever since I did that the time (and date) on my computer is 8 hours ahead of the real time even tho it's supposed to be syncing automatically with apple.asia...
I know I can manually select the time in "Date and Time" in preferences but I prefer to keep it synced.
I thought it was a problem with my firewall so I changed a few settings but it keeps on doing it.
Can anyone help???? It's rather p@ss@ing me off

Thanks for trying to help mate. I actually solved the problem late last night after noticing something. It seems that Windows in Boot Camp time was set 8 hours ahead which seems to have meant that every time if fixed the time on here, when I rebooted in windows in put it 8 hours further ahead.
But it ALSO meant that when I tried to sync the time to apple.asia (for some strange and weird reason) the server returned that time as being correct (the one that was 8 hours ahead). I still don't understand it but at least (I think, and hope) it's fixed. :S
thanks again for taking the time to try and help out Daniel...

try following code on FP9 on Linux Mozilla. My observation
was it shows time by one hour ahead.
    trace("Current Time "+new Date());
I hope I am not missing something very basic here.

    Can somebody please confirm/deny this.
FP 9 on Linux shows time one hour ahead than the local time.
Try following line with FP9 on Linux
    trace("Current Time "+new Date());

  • Time Stamp 5:30 Hours Ahead in BAM Table

    Hi,
I have a input payload in which starttime (type=datetime) is one of the element. I will insert this payload into BAM Dataobjects, now my problem is that when i give the input to Startime element as 2011-05-09T00:00:00
the value returned in BAM is 09/05/2011 5:30:00 AM which is exactly 5.30 hours ahead. There is no issues with the timestamp of database server. I have checked the BAM table where the value is 05-MAY-11 05.30.00.00000 AM'
    Thanks

Check the discussion in the forum post:
    Re: Time Zone
I guess, the time conversion according the current locale happens, when the data is displayed in the UI.
    Thanks,

  • HOw do I fix the fact that ical jumped (almost) all my events post daylight savings time change an hour ahead?

A few weeks ago I noticed that everything past 3/8 was an hour ahead, and I assumed once daylight savings time changed it would all jump back. It hasn't, and I don't know how to continue scheduling events or if I should change them all.  I read that (a few years ago) the suggestion was give it 24 hours to adjust??

I think this problem is more complex. Background - UK clocks went back at the end of October; the USA went back one week later. I am in the UK and my Outlook calendar contains appointments created in the USA.
Someone in the USA created a recurring appointment before any clocks went back. In Outlook everything is correct. The meeting times are the same each week except for the one week between the two clock changes when, quite correctly, the meeting shows up one hour earlier. When I sync with my iPhone, the meeting shows at the same time every week regardless - this is incorrect.
Someone in the USA created a recurring appointment in the week after the UK clocks went back but before the USA clocks did. Outlook correctly shows the first occurrence as one hour earlier than all the following occurrences. Unfortunately - and this is the really nasty bit - the iPhone shows ALL the appointments one hour earlier than they should be. The only one that is correct is the first one.
This is a nasty bug and something that Apple needs to fix.

  • Appointments one hour ahead of appointments created in iCloud - both before *and* after the shift from daylight savings time

I am in the CET timezone and my Lumia 925 on 8.1 has consistently shown appointments one hour ahead of appointments created in iCloud - both before and after the shift from daylight savings time here.
My disappointment is compounded by the fact that I patiently waited for October, naïvely thinking the clockchange would solve things... doh.
Look forward to your earliest solution.
    Jonny.

There is a separate thread on this subject. It's a bug in Windows Phone 8.1. It is fixed in the upcoming Windows 8.1 Update 1 release (due Nov/Dec 2014). Alternatively, you can install the developer preview (go to Store and search for 'preview for developers'.
You have to register as a developer though (easily done through appstudio.windows.com) or you can wait for your phone vendor (Microsoft / Nokia) to release the 'Denim' upgrade.
For now, I don't know a decent workaround.

  • Xp20:current-dateTime() function returning time 1 hour ahead

Do anyone know if the xp20:current-dateTime() function is incorrect? It is returning time 1 hour ahead, for example: when executed and put into a database, the column shows 2007-08-28 13:46:54.0, but the ESB flow was executed at about 12:46pm.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check the timezone setting on your DB and the App server OS. They must be on different zones.

  • Time on Mac and iphone is 1 hour ahead today

    Hi,
I don't know where to ask this question, but today I've noticed that both my MacBook Pro and my iPhone are 1 hour ahead.  Both are set to set the time and time zone automatically using current location.  Both realize, correctly, that I am in London, England and the computer even says correctly that it is British Summer Time.  The computer gets its time from Apple Europe (time.euro.apple.com).  They both have the correct date.  But although it is now 10:56 AM in London (according to my watch, my girlfriend's phone, my girlfriend's supervisor who she's meeting with now for her 11 AM meeting, and the office wall clock), both my iPhone and computer say 11:56 AM.  Does anyone know what could be wrong?  I've only noticed this today, but my girlfriend said she saw that my iPhone was off yesterday as well.  My laptop is a 2006 Macbook Pro, with Snowleopard 10.6.7 and my iPhone has iOS 4.3.3 (and isn't unlocked or jailbroken or anything similar). I can fix the problem by turning off the automatic time and setting it by hand, but that's a bit annoying.  Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

This is actually an improvement so you have no need to worry.
I usually have my E65 on 'auto update' as the network I use supports this feature but I disabled it and saw "Athens +3" as my timezone.
I then altered the date to November and checked again and it said "Athens +2" so I'm thining they've programmed the time software to alter the DST setting for you automatically without any manual intervention from yourself.
Also this improvement means if you add cities to the 'World Cities" list. The time there is accurate too. Before (on my N70), it never altered my world city list to account for DST.

  • Menu Clock Time Jumps Ahead 5 Hours - Then, on Restart, Blue Screen Loop

This has happened twice now. I notice the time displayed by the menu clock is five hours ahead (I'm in New York time zone), then, on restart, I get the Blue Screen loop with the gear spinning, quick screen flash, then blue screen/spinning gears ad infinitum...
Last time I did all the obvious: Resetting PRAM et al, repairing permissions, etc... I finally reinstalled SL and all was good.
Any ideas what's going on? This is kind of freaking me out!
Running latest Snow Leopard on Intel Core Duo 2.8 GHz iMac.

Nope; although to be clear, they replaced the entire machine after a new logic board, power supply and hard drive failed to solve the problem; and the same problem persists. I'm inclined to believe that it's a software conflict of some sort, or -- since I haven't seen the same problem documented at length anywhere else -- I am very unlucky.
One thing I haven't done is reinstall the entire OS from scratch. I've restored it from my Time Machine backup every time. I'm purchasing a new hard drive tonight for that purpose.

  • Whatever i try my macbookpro reverts back to GMT time, two hours ahead of spain where i live. manual setting helps but synchronizing iPad puts it always at GMT can anybody help

whatever i try my MacbookPro reverts back to GMT which is two hours ahead from where i live in spain. manual time setting helps for MacBookPro but in synchronization of iPad it uses again GMT. Can anybody help me with this problem? Thank you

No, the app does not have to completely restart. It gets shifted in its open state into storage. Similar to how a computer uses the hard disk when it has insufficient memory.
What complicates things is that sometimes memory does not get returned for reuse when you close an app. Thus yo should periodically double click the Home button and "delete" unnecessary apps from the multitasking dock and power off and then back on the iPod.
