Mailbox Dependent Custom Menus

Hi,
I have written a C3PO that, on initialisation, checks the email ID of the
mailbox. If the ID matches a particular account (used to broadcast
messages to large numbers of staff) then a new menu is added to the "Mail
To:" window that allows the user to choose predefined groups of recipients.
I've now been asked to modify the C3PO such that users with proxy access
to this particular mailbox can use the custom menu (instead of quitting
GroupWise and logging back in as the account for broadcasting messages).
I wish to retain the feature that the custom menu is only visible when the
appropriate mailbox is being accessed since it is not desirable to have
mass mail sent from an individual's mailbox.
However proxy access can be performed from several places, including the
Mail To: window.
Can anyone advise me on how I should go about checking the ID after the
C3PO has been initialised and perhaps trapping when proxy access has been
invoked/revoked?
Many thanks in advance,
Andy

That's a tough one - initialization won't work. I don't think there is a
proxy event. Why not do this - add the mailto menu for all, but then add
your check to the VALIDATE code. I think you can check the proxyid with
tokens just like the user id. SO, whenever someone pulls down the menu,
it will check for the user name, and if it is the right user the menu
will be active, and if not it will be grayed out. I think validation
happens at every pulldown.
Additionally, why not just add the menu to everybody, and then change the
execution for the menu so that YOUR CODE does the proxying and then
creates a new item to send to the particular group? Or is there a
passwording issue?

  • Anyone in PAL land create custom menus in CS2 FOR DVDSPro 4 for 16:9?

Anyone in PAL land create custom menus in DVDSPro 4 for 16:9?
I need help with Photoshop into DVDSpro4 concerning quality of logos and graphics and what presets to use in Photoshop CS2
    Thanks!

    Hi Allister,
Thats what you should be seeing. The pixel count for both 4:3 and 16:9 are the same. It's the pixel aspect ratio which change. Unfortunately Quicktime doesn't have an aspect ratio flag setting. Hence you get your stretched look.
With respect to the DVDSP settings. As far as I am aware Pan / Scan in DVDSP is still faulty. But it was DVDSP 3 when I last checked this. So, letterbox is the choice for you.
    Good Luck

  • Menubar empty area custom menus

I'd like to put custom menus in menubar empty unused area.
FinderPop should do this, but it doesn't work for me, maybe because of some conflict that I don't know.
MaxMenus does it, but only for three menus (click, control-click and command-click), which makes me suspect another conflict. Moreover, MaxMenus is overpriced (30$!).
Is there any other piece of software to do what I wish?

  • Custom menus for DVD's

I have been on the hunt for an app that would create custom menus for DVD's, I have toast but, the menus are rather tacky IMHO, I was hoping that maybe somebody here may have a good recommendation.
    Thanks again

Most of what I make is under 90 minutes and,I work mostly with stills for now.
I like Toast a lot and really wished they had more professional looking menus.
They have released Toast 9 that has more menus but they still seem rather tacky, not to mention I bought 8 just a few months ago and, it rather miffs me to pay $50. for an up-grade, I just don't think that Roxio should charge that that much.
Now I have gave some thought on getting an external CD burner so I can do light scribing.

  • Re-using Custom Menus

I had a dvd mastered but needed to go back and re-edit a couple small portions of the movie file. How do I use the new movie file with the menus I spent 3 days building without having to re-build all the menus one at a time (custom music clips, images, movie clips, etc)

When you export (from iMovie) and write over the movie file that was used as the source file for iDVD, iDVD recognizes the change, and prompts you about the change... I've encountered a bug with iDVD where the static images at the chapter markers get messed up, and you have to re-set them, but other than that, I was able to pretty much re-use the other custom menu settings as-is.

  • Creation of filter dependent Custom BADI defination.

    Hello,
How to create a custom BADI definition (ECC 6.0), so that I will be able to make it filter dependent.
I need to create an implementation of the same as per Logical system name filtering for ALE processing.
I tried to create Enhancement Spot and then created BADi but not able to make it filter dependent.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
I tried to create an independent custom BADI definition and make it filter Dependant.
So that I can create my own implementation and call that in a Standard BADI method.
Through SE18, it's not allowed to directly create BADI, I created an enhancement spot but while creating BADI in this process, it not giving me the option to make it filter dependent.
Is there any special process to create an independent BADI definition & to make filter dependent in ECC 6.0.
    Thanks.

  • Custom Menus in iDVD

I have FCE and iDVD. Is there any way to create menus from scratch in iDVD; or do I have to buy DVD studio pro? I would be glad to buy that app if Apple would make it available as a stand alone product. However, FCE does everything I need on the editing side, so Final Cut Studio does not make financial sense.
My specific problem is that my superiors would like menu selections to be more identifiable (ie some type of color change/zoom feature) so that our audiences
(trainees) know how to and when they have selected a menu option.
    Any ideas from the pros???

iDVD is more template based, try maybe finding a template that does what he wants. Also, DVD Studio Pro can probably be picked up on eBay for more features. Zooming in on selection can definitely be done in DVD Studio...
DVD Studio Pro 3 (most features the same as 4) goes for about 200-400 depending on bid through eBay.

  • Issues with old menu entries and old custom menus [Xfce]

    Hello, this is the issue:
The main menu keep showing old entries for programs I already deleted: For example, I have an entry for the indie game FEZ even tough I already deleted this game. I know that programs have a .desktop file located in "~/.local/share/applications" and/or in "/usr/share/applications", but I already deleted both files and this is not happening just with the FEZ entry but with other old menu entries including custom entries. I don't know why the keep showing up even tough I removed both .desktop files for each one of those entries. I think that there is another file that I'm missing or some kind of menu cache that I have to update but I don't which nor how. Additionally I have to say that I'm using the whisker menu plugin but the entries also show up on the stock xfce4 menu.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance, Shadow_Reaper13

I forgot to say that those annoying entries does not appear neither on menulibre nor in alacarte so I cannot delete them using one or another. Those entries does not appear on those menu editors even before I delete the .desktop files.

  • Custom menus?

Hi, I just purchased the essential elements 10 to create movies.  I would like to create a custom template with a still photo background with menu bottons that are attached to the menu markers.  I tried to adapt the pre existing templates, but they don't do what I want.  Help? from a beginner

    Elizabeth,
When you downloaded the file, after purchase, did you get two files, or only one? If only one, then you still have another fiile to download and install (thiink it will be a .7z file, which is archived with the 7ZIP function). The second file has a lot more Additional Functional Content, such as Menu Sets, Title Templates, etc..
As Steve points out, PS is required for full custom Menu Set creation, as it can produce Layer Sets (the structure of the Buttons in the PSD file). PSElements can edit those (so you could modify existing Menu Set Templates), but is limited on the actual creation of them.
Now, there might be other Image Editor programs available, but they MUST be able to work in Photoshop's PSD format, and they MUST be able to at least handle Photoshop's Layer Sets (creation, like with PS is a real added benefit). You might want to look into GIMP, a free Image Editor. Many refer to it as a "poor man's Photoshop," so it is popular, and especially as it is free. Since I have had PS from the day it was released, I have not even looked at GIMP in many, many years. Way back when, I found it to have a very clunky interface, but that was long ago, and I feel that it has probably matured greatly. I just do not know about the current version's handling of Layer Sets.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Outros and intros in custom menus in iDVD

How do you personalize an iDVD menu with your own intros and outros?

I am not sure if this is what you are asking, but you can drag photos or movie clips into drop zones. Click on the drop zone box which is found on the bottom of the window, in the center -- it is the one on the right. Then you can see all the drop zones at once and easily drag content there.
Also, you can change the audio in the main menu and sub menus, as well. To change the Main Menu music, click on the Menu area, the click i to bring up the Menu information window. Drag the standard audio out of there and you will see it go poof. Then drag any audio from iTunes or elsewhere into that area. You can change the time setting in there to get the audio clip the way you want it.

  • Question on custom menus

    Hi all,
I have never used a custom menu and I wonder how it works.
How can I open a custom menu for the users? Are they displayed on the web or must be opened using excel?
How can it be configured so that each user access a different one?
    Thanks and regards,

  • Use of custom menus and navigation

    Hi,
I am new to JDeveloper. Is there a way to disable the navigation from JDeveloper and build my own menus and use them ? Are there any samples for this ? Can anyone suggest some options ?
    Thanks
    Naresh

    Hi there,
Process menu's have been effectively replaced by business process flows (BPF's). You have more control on what the user can do and have more tasks that the user can perform. For instance, you can setup a BPF so that a section is only activated after the user changes the Work Status to submitted. (of course this won't be necessary for a reporting BPF).
The best thing to do would be to create a BPF for corporate reporting and list the various reports used like corporate users to view. It will be then possible to also see when a user has marked a BPF as completed.

  • Custom Menus at startup

    Hello,
One of my clients wants to simplify the submission process for their end-users. So they would like something like:
    1 User logs in
2 Custom Menu shows up by default with all the steps to follow
Do you think it is possible to automatically launch a custom menu at startup? They mentioned it was possible with Outlooksoft 4, but I can't find any similar option in their current version (BPC 7).
    thanks a lot
    cheers
    Elio

The BPF is what I first implemented but they say it's a bit lumbering for their users. I must agree as a Custom Menu allowed me to represent a process that would have required two BPFs to do the same (two contemporary submissions with different time)
They just want that, as soon as a user logs in, the user sees all the few steps to follow to complete their submission. With BPF I couldn't find this option either. But in their current Outlooksoft implementation of another tool, this is what they get.
Sorin, based on your deep and long experience, do you think I can get a similar beahviour?
    Thanks very much in advance
