Maintaining multiple references in Identification types

How to maintain many references with one single reference for single BP
I am very new to CRM.
I need help in finding solution in CRM to map external reference which has many sub references.
In our scenario, in legacy system we have on single reference which has many sub references and we have to map this to Business Partner ID in CRM system. Can you any one help me to find solution.
In SAP CRM is this possible or not? if possible please help me

Hi Kumar
There is the possibility to maintain multiple identification numbers of any kind up to 50 char's long in the CRM system. It is possible to maintain multiple values for one kind of number as well as multiple numbers. These are stored in table BUUT0ID, and you can find the customizing for these in the SAP Business Partner Customizing under bp -> basic settings -> identification numbers.
With this additional numbering you can map the external keys of your legacy system and do the mapping for incoming changes based on these numbers.

We have transferred all business partner from R/3 to CRM via initial load. We have Sold to party & Ship to party which are also assigned the BP role of Financial Partner and being used to create the Dispute Cases however we are unable to create the dispute cases in CRM system and also unable to search open item as Identification type BPCCOD with number as Logical system:Client is missing in the Financial Partner. As far as i know as per the SAP Standard functionality during customer download in CRM ID Type CRM002 gets added with ECC Account number by default.
So is there any way through which i can get additional ID Type BPCCOD with Number Logical system:Client assigned to Customers during replication and also if there is any standard program to achieve this functionality?

Hi Anand,
As per my understanding, you want to add additional Identification type and number while downloading the customer from ECC (Initial load).
Go to tcode BUPA_CALL_FU.
choose event CRMIN and refer BUPA_INBOUND_MAIN_CENTRAL FM as an example.
Copy the FM and create a new FM.
This FM has the changing parameter of structure BUS_EI_EXTERN.
Add the code and Modify the data CENTRAL_DATA-IDENT_NUMBER as per your requirement.
then maintain your function module in BUPA_CALL_FU in the right sequence (after standard FM call).

Data is not updating in calss & Convert vi reference to strictly type reference vi

In the attached project file there is a Class called 'ClassSample.lvclass' having 3 different data types Boolean, Numeric and Variant(not really sure, Variant can be use for strict data type reference). From this three we careated the 'VIs for data member access' you can see them in project file
My questions are,(Please refer attached screenshot)
1. Though member of same class, why value is not updating at probe 16 ?
2. How to convert vi reference to strictly type reference vi ?

It depends a bit on your final intention. Bascially you have a shared state that you want to access asynchronously from different places. If you know that the actual object is only created once (terminilogie here is a bit shaky as every wire split would create a copy of the LVOOP object but I hope you know what I mean), you could use a global or Action Engine to store the state. Using a DVR for this state and adding the DVR to your object class data is however a more scalable approach as it will allow you to instantiate more than one object of that class and each one will contain its own DVR that will reference the same value for the specific object instance even if you split the object wire, creating actually two copies of that object (but for the purpose of this discussion they would be still the same object instance).
Queues could work if you create a single element queue but you would always need to use Preview Queue rather than Dequeue in order to maintain the value in there.

GW Function Import: pass parameter table (e.g. multiple parameters of same type)

Hello GW experts,
we have defined a Function Import "CreatePOWithReference" with a parameter "Reference" which contains a string with information about a reference document which shall be used to create a new Purchase Order (PO):
Now I would like to pass not only a single reference but multiple reference all of the same type "Reference".
I tried calling the function import with two references like this:
/sap/opu/odata/sap/ZMP_ODATA_PO_SRV/CreatePOWithReference?Reference='123'&Reference='456'
But in method "/IWBEP/IF_MGW_APPL_SRV_RUNTIME~EXECUTE_ACTION" my parameter table "IT_PARAMETER" only contains 1 single record:
How can I achieve that the table "IT_PARAMETER" contains two records (Reference='123' and Reference='456')?

PS: As there can be any number of references, it is not an option to create several parameters "Reference1", "Reference2", "Reference3" and so on... .

In my opinion, i do not think you can pass same property multiple times as you are trying now. I really doubt if GW supports this and IT_PARAMETER has only one Reference ( which is sent 1st i.e., 123 ) as you have already shared values read at runtime.. As per my understanding it is the correct behavior of GW where only one reference number - 123 is present in IT_PARAMETER table.
Other standard way of accomplishing your business case would be implementing CREATE operation and operate it on BATCH.

Is there any way we can maintain multiple prices using one cost center, activity type and cost element? I know we can maintain multiple prices multiple activity types and cost centers. But I don't want to create any extra master data.
How many activity types can we maintain for a given cost center?

I hope you understand the meaning of activity type and importance of activity prices for a cost center .
Activity Price is the rate for combination of a cost center and activity type . Cost Element has no role in it ??
You can maintain any number of cost center activity types in the system.. there is no restrictions ..
But , how many activity types are there in your business. We generally have Machin Hrs, Labour Hours, Energy etc as activity types....
Kindly understand you business process and identify your activity type requirements and then plan activity prices for combination of cost center and activity type in KP26 .

SAP ECC6.0 - Tranasaction XK01 - Maintain multiple email address

Hello All,
We have a tricky siutation during upgrade where we could able to maintain multiple external email addresses in transaction XK01/XK02 ( vendor master) in the email address in below format.
Now in ECC 6.0, it is not allowing to maintain more than one email address which is having @ symbol!!.
Is there a way to maintain multiple external email addresses?.
Is there a way to download all email address from (4.6c) system and upload the same into ECC 6.0?.
Appreciate if you can get me some ides / tricks or SAP notes if any.

Maintaining multiple Manufacturer for Material

Hi Experts,
My Client is into Heavy Machinery renting business.
They procure Machinery & rent out. Their in-house team carryout servicing all these machines.
They have some spare parts which are supplied by different Manufacturer)
e.g. Part A - Manufacturer 1
Part A - Manufacturer 2
Part A - Manufacturer 3
Where can we maintained - multiple manufacturer in the system

Hi You could use the standard functionality of SAP that is Manufacture Part number.
As quoted from sap help :
If there are several MPN materials corresponding to one of your firmu2019s own materials, you must create MPN material master records with the *material type HERS*. In the Purchasing view, enter the manufacturer part number, the manufacturer (this can be either a vendor master record or a manufacturer master record), and your firmu2019s own, inventory-managed material.
The MPN material master records are assigned to your firmu2019s own material. Stocks are managed with respect to the firmu2019s own material.
In the purchasing view of say material master "part A" assign manufacture part profile.
Again go to MM01 and create material master with material type hers and assin the internal part number, manufacture part no and manufacturer for this material.
If you have 3 manufacture part nos and manufacturer you will create 3 masters for material type hers and assign the same internal code to all the 3 with different manufacture part code and manufacturer.
Finally go to transaction code MP01 and you could manitain approved manufacturer there.

find following step to make field mandatory for material type
Follow the stpes for making field as optional, required entry
1 click the tab ,(Which is u want to be Required entry )and get the field name by pressing F1 key and then
2.Go to T.Code: OMSR and enter that field name and get Selection Group
once you get selection group and field name
3 Use t.Code: OMS2 and click your material type and in next screen check Field reference ( you have assigned for material type; example :;For ROH material type the Field reference is ROH
3. Use T.code:OMS9,, Double Click your Field Reference and select field selection Group , & select round box of Required Entry or optional and save

Reference to generic type Set E should be parmeterized

I have the following code in a class:
1:Event theEvent = (Event) session.load(Event.class, eventId);
            2:Set<Event> eventSet;
            3:eventSet = user.getFavouriteEvents();
            4:eventSet.add(theEvent);At line 3, I get the following warning message:
Type safety: The expresson of raw type Set is converted to Set<Event>. References to generic type Set<E> should be parameterized.
What does this mean? What do I need to do to get past this warning.

Access of possibly undefined property number through a reference with static type...

I run into this problem today ... take a look on the code :

I can do that ".number" with a movieclip but not in this case. What can I do ?

I made the changes you suggested: imported flash.Display.MovieClip and also made the class extend MovieClip.

How can I maintain multiple white spaces in a PDF written from InDesign?

I need to have 2 white spaces maintained (within a part #) in the PDF I write, but when I open in Acrobat it converts it to one space.
I've tried word spaces, set spaces and applying "no color" to a placeholder character and nothing is working!
Any ideas or suggestions?

I am talking about normal white space. Multiple fixed widt spaces are not a problem. How the space is handled in a PDF depends on how it is created.

It may not be a great idea to use multiple spaces, but it certainly is not prohibited and sometimes is necessary -- you might want a 2em space, or a thin space before and after a tab you underline in a form.
I'm able to select the multiple spaces just fine in Acrobat 9 using the text touch-up tool.

Best Practice in maintaining multiple apps and user logins

My company is just starting to use APEX, and none of us (the developers) have worked on this before either. It is greatly appreciated if we can get some help here.
We have developed quite a few applications in the same workspace. Now, we are going to setup UAT and PRD environments and also trying to understand what the best practice is to maintain multiple apps and user logins.
Many of you have already worked on APEX environment for sometime, can you please provide some input?
Should we create multiple apps(projects) for one department or should we create one app for one department?
Currently we have created multiple apps for one department, but, we are not sure if a user can login once and be able to access to all the authenticated apps.

I am not sure how much of this applies to your situation - but I will share what I have done.
I built a single 700+ page application for my department - other areas create separate smaller applications.
The approach I chose is flexible enough to accomdate both.
I built a separate access control application(Control) in its own schema.
We use database authenication fo this app - an oracle account is required.
We prefer to use LDAP for authentication for the user applications.
For users that LDAP is not option - an encrypted password is stored - reset via email.
We use position based security - priviliges are based on job functions.
We have applications, appilcations have roles , roles have access to components(tabs,buttons,unmasked card numbers,etc.)
We have positions that are granted application roles - they inherit access to the role components.
Users have a name, a login, a position, and a site.
We have users on both the East Coast and the West Coast, we use the site in a sys_context
and views to emulate VPD. We also use the role components,sys_contexts and views to mask/unmask
card numbers without rewriting the dependent objects(querys,reports,views,etc.)
The position based security has worked well, when someone moves,
we change the position they are assigned to and they immediately have the privileges they need.

Maintaining Multiple Vendor Phone Fax and Email using IDOC

Hello Guru's,
I have a requirement where I must be able to maintain multiple phone and fax entries for all of our vendors. Is there a standard segment in IDOC CREMAS05 that will allow for this maintenance? Or will I have to use a separate BAPI / FM? I think there must be a standard way for doing this.
As of now it appears the CREMAS05 IDOC only supports the ability to maintain one phone/fax or email address at a time, which is in the LFA1 table, and not at the address table level (ADR2, ADRC, ADRT, etc.).
This is for an R/3 System running on EHP5.
