Maintaining previous idle state while loading a waveform
Hi,
Is it possible to generate waveform1, in idle state hold the last bits of waveform1 (using 'X' in the idle state function), then load waveform2 while still maintaining the idle state from waveform1, and then generate waveform2 having it start from the idle state of waveform1? Or is the idle state lost when waveform2 is loaded and/or initiated?
Thanks!
Hi hch3,
Our Digital boards hold last value when in generation mode. So they will hold the last state by default, and once stopped will hold last value until the board is reset. You can then load a waveform, while it holds last state, and once starting your generation session again, it will generate waveform 2 as you expect.
Some terminology discussion: An Idle State is what happens you are waiting for a trigger, you are in a pause trigger state, or the board completes normally. It sounds like in your scenario, you are outside of a session and you are loading a new waveform to be generated by your session. In this case, the board will hold its last value (default Idle State setting).
We give customers the ability to change the idle state behavior though the niHSDIO_ConfigureIdleState function or Configure Idle State VI. It is default hold last value, but you can set it to logic high, logic low, or tristate if you desire.
If you do not want to hold last value any longer for any reason, the HSDIO Tristate VI is what I would recommend to set the data lines back to their initial default state. Calling a board reset will cause the data lines to tristate as well.

How to make a graph inside a while loop maintain previous values
In the beginning I was trying to use an the XY Graph Express VI to create a plot of points. However, the graph is making a linear retrace between the first point of the new line, and the last point of the previous line. It then creates the new line as desired.
I have tried using a for loop with to bundle a cluster to the graph, but the graph resets the plot on each iteration (as expected) and I cannot find a way to make it maintain the previous data. I tried using shift registers but was unable to find out how to do this, and I have also tried bundling the cluster to an array, but cannot figure out how to make the cluster go to a 1D array of a cluster of 2 elements.
One option is having is finding a way to make it maintain previous data, but the preferred option is to make it create a new plot on each iteration so as to see the color change for each new plot.
Solved!

Output only current iteration data.JPG 86 KBI'm taking a stab at this because I'm not exactly sure what you want. But I think it is what I have shown here. You need to use a shift register on your outter while loop as I have shown. Your image where you tried using a shift register shows a misunderstanding of shift registers and how they work though, so I would take a look at these tutorials.

Error while loading master data to attribute ZMAJORGU(Major organisational unit)
Hi Experts,
While loading master data to ZMAJORGU(MOU)(info object texts) from datasource (ZOS_HRP1000)datasource iam getting error in DTP.
below is the error...
Diagnosis
Data record 349 & with the key 'Ship &' is invalid in value 'Ship &' of
the attribute/characteristic ZMAJORGU &.
System Response
The system has recognized that the value mentioned above is invalid, and
has processed this general error message. A subsequent message may give
you more information on the error. This message refers to the same
value, even though it does not state this explicitly.
Procedure
If this message appears during a data load, maintain the attribute in
the PSA maintenance screens. If this message appears in the master data
maintenance screens, leave the transaction and call it again. This
allows you to maintain your master data.
Please find the below screen shots
I have done the following regarding the issue ....Looking at the error i have gone trough the transformation and i didnt find any routines or formuales
I have checked the PSA and down loaded the data to spread sheet and put a filter on SHORT and STEXT assuming i will find the value
'Ship &' as mentioned in the Diagnosis description. However i was not able to find the relavent data(i went to se16 gave teh request ID from PSA and displayed the entire data)tarting with Ship .The closest value i could find in both the fileds was was AVP Shipment .
I have the following questions
1)In the screen short 2 it says record number 349 is it right to go to PSA table and check against the record number 349(i tried that but i was not able to find the error against that record)
2)why am i not finding the value 'Ship' in PSA ...but this is the value wich is creating a poblem in updating to the target ....does it mean the record value is Ship or it starts with Ship or is ir part of some word?
Please find the attached PSA data file (u have to convert it to Excel)
I request people to help me analyse the issue and fix the issue.
Regards
KiranRam
I checked other records as well they were a lot of smallcharecters upper case charectres ,numeric special charecters .but nothing stopped ...when the system is even accpeting all other charectres like smallof caps or numeric... why on this record is creating an issue...
please have a look at error stack
and i have one more question when i look at PSA there are close to 300000 records
but when i do an SE16 with request id i see only close to one lakh records (i came to conclusion b dragging down and the last record number was (below screen shot)
Can you tell me what my mistake is numebr or records are not tallying in SE16 and PSA.. -

Edited by: Prashanth Shetty on Jul 16, 2008 7:42 AMHi,
The issue is due to errorneous record.
Delete the request in Master data and Try the following.
1) Goto PSA --> filter the Status (Red or Green)
Select the Red records and correct the data in which error is throwm.
After correcting the data, save and Right click PSA and give Start update immediately.
2) Load via Infopackage only to PSA and later update from PSA and check.
Any one of the above 2 methods will solve the issue.

What does "Error 10" mean? "An error occurred while loading your project. 10"
Does anyone know what "Error 10" means? For the first time, I'm getting a message that says, "An error occurred while loading your project. 10". I'm getting this message when I try to open a project that I created yesterday.
I'm using Adobe Premiere 6 on a Windows 7 machine. I have over 20 gigs of open space on the drive with all the project and support files. And this machine with 2 gigs of RAM never has a problem opening other similar Premeire project files with even more still images plugged in.
All of my Premiere project files have always opened with no problem. A similar file that this project file was created from with all the same base elements still opens with no problem.
This file almost finishes the "Loading Project - checking files..." process, but then I get the error message.
I had also saved a duplicate backup file for the project in question and it will not open either, so I believe that rules out a corrupt file... it is only this one project that I created yesterday that will not open. This project file is only about 5.7 megabytes in size.
This file has many still images plugged in to it, but all the same images are plugged in to another base file that still opens correctly.
I've also tried closing all other apps to save memory but I still get the error. I've also tried opening this problem file from within the application and I still get the same error message.
I read some troubleshooting information on the Adobe website about files that give error messages that will not open and it recommended adjusting the size of the virtual memory paging file in the system settings to twice the amount of RAM that is installed instead of being on the automatic setting, so I followed the instruction verbatim and restarted my machine and I still get the error message.
I've also read other troubleshooting info on the Adobe site that recommends to "delete the application preferences file" and "recreate the plugin cache file", but I'm not sure if "Error 10" indicates that those things are the correct procedures to use.
I could re-create this project file, but it has many tricky cutting and motion setting edits that will be difficult to reproduce and it took me a full day to create this project file.
Also, yesterday before initially closing this file, I was able to successfully render a test version to an AVI file and that video file plays fine, but neither the original project file nor the duplicate will open... I'm always getting the "An error occurred while loading your project. 10" after the file almost finishes the "Loading Project - checking files..." process... it almost finishes opening but then I get the error message.
Thanks for any input on this problem. You can see the error message screenshot below.
digiThanks Bill... me too.
After writing to Dennis Radeke on an Adobe.com blog about this and getting his very limited response, I wrote to him quoting something I read on the wiki page that you sent me the link to...

Wiki page link that you gave me:

Here's what my response today was...
Thanks for your reply DR.
My old version of Premiere 6 works perfectly on Windows 7. I’ve created over a thousand different Premiere project files on this 5 year-old PC that was updated to Windows 7 last year.
All of my other Premiere 6 files open and maintain their original editability and all the features in this ancient version of Premiere work very well.
I own and use mostly Mac machines but I have one 5 year-old PC with a 160 gig hard drive with Windows 7 that I run Premiere 6 on because it’s a thousand dollar program that I had from 10 years ago that I didn’t want to repurchase. Buying a newer PC 5 years ago was far less expensive than buying a new copy of Premiere. Some people seem to think, “Wow, just buy a new version of the software for a thousand dollars and a new computer with a 5 Terabyte hard drive.”, but that isn’t always the reality of some peoples financial situation.
With 20 gigs of open HD space, all of my previous, even more complex Premiere 6 files still open and edit just fine. It is only this one file that I created Thursday that won’t re-open after closing it for the first time. Since the backup copy of that file won’t open either, and all the support files open, play and work in other previous project files, I’m thinking that there is some glitch that happened when saving this file that is corrupting it now, making it unable to be re-opened.
Based on prior advice on multiple topics about Premiere 6 from people on the Adobe forum who use only newer versions of Premiere, most information that applies to the brand new Premiere Pro CS5 still seems to apply to the old Premiere 6.
I found that holding down Shift-Option while opening Premiere 6 trashes the preferences file. This became my work around since I can’t locate the preferences file based on your path noted (in your blog) nor via the other prefs file path published on the Adobe website.
But unfortunately, trashing the prefs file, resetting the plugin cache file, increasing the virtual memory paging file size, importing the problem project file in to a new project, nor anything else is working to allow this file to open.
Now I’m looking in to XML:Wrench to see if that can find the corruption in this file, but I’ve had a malware warning from one download source and the xmlwrench.com website says their download is only a demo version, but no price is listed… this seems somewhat strange and possibly deceptive.
But I read something on an Premiere Pro wiki page , quoted below, at this URL, that seems to be pertinent, and though my version of Premiere may be ancient, it seems that, according to this user’s concerns, Adobe is still having problems with current versions of Adobe software creating corrupt files…
http://premierepro.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ:How_do_I_recover_a_corrupt_project%3F
QUOTE:
“Can someone please advise – why on EARTH we should have to download XML Wrench and manually fix a corrupt Adobe project??? This is something common to all the Adobe “Support” forums on issues like this, and the many others that plague Adobe’s product (and I’m not being a mindless troll – I’ve been forced to use it for years so I do know the usability and other issues it has): it seems that people are excited because they’ve found a “fix” (which is more like a work-around) – purely because they’re understandably ecstatic that all their hard work isn’t comPLETEly lost.
However, Adobe should be making sure their product isn’t so buggy! This issue should be fixed (as just one example). Adobe should be finding out what causes the corruption in the first place and fixing it. And whether it’s some other codec on the system that’s caused it is no excuse – their software should have better error management built into it. I’ve seen other issues where an Adobe support representative has happily replied: “oh, that’s a known issue since version [3 versions back] – don’t worry, most users are aware of the work around for it: just select and move all of the items in your timeline each time you open the project and you’ll be fine!”
I’m sorry to rant on – but can some other users please explain the above to me? (i.e. why aren’t more people annoyed about this and complaining to Adobe to fix these things).”
UNQUOTE
All of this coming from an experienced user of Adobe products complaining about needing XML:Wrench to fix corrupt Adobe files seems relevant.
In addition, why does no one, including the Adobe knowledge base, have any info about what “An error occurred while loading your project. 10″ means?… why isn’t there a database that identifies Adobe error numbers by the simple number itself? The only info I was able to find identifying “Error 10″ on the Adobe site was a software installation error, not a project loading error.
Now I find myself chasing a clean download of XML:Wrench in order to hopefully fix this corrupt file. Whether I’m using Premiere 6 on a 160 gig hard drive with 20 gigs of open space or Premiere Pro CS5 on a 5 Terabyte hard drive with 3 Terabytes of open space, the problems, according to other users, seem to be the same as ever with corrupt Adobe Premiere files, based on what I’ve been reading across the internet. -

TIME_OUT in ST22 while loading data
Hello all!
While I load data from ODS-object to an InfoCube, after around 18 minutes I have the first TIME_OUT in ST22. Some seconds later I have the next and then again after 18 minutes and so on. All the time while loading. The loading doesn´t stop.
I found the following statement in ST22:
The program "GP2GCXJX3UPKBEN0B528IGJFPA3 " has exceeded the maximum permitted runtime and has therefore been terminated.
But loading is still running.
This programm is the programm which is generated from the update rules which can be found in the update rules under ->Extras ->Display Activated Programm in the menu there.
I found also the information in ST22 that "rdisp/max_wprun_time" is 1000 seconds (16.66 minutes) which is the max. runtime. I think there is a second chance so the max. runtime should be 2000 seconds.
But I think "rdisp/max_wprun_time" is a parameter for dialog processes and loading over InfoPackage isn´t one as far as I know.
I load as a backround process. I´m loading from ODS and reading in update rules from 2 other ODS-objects. I read around 2 million records. Another IC which is very similar but doesn´t read from the 2nd ODS needs around 1 and a half hour to load.
Can someone please help me?
Thank you,
PeterPeter,
Update rules are processed in foreground and the time out setting applies to all dialog processes. The processing is done one data packet at a time.
If the load is from ODS to InfoCube and is timing out then there is no option but to tune the update rules. Bring down the records that are being read. If your select statement is reading based on the contents of the data packet, then bring down the size of the data packet. THis can be done in the InfoPack in Scheduler --> DataS. Default Data Transfer. In the Max size field try 10000 or even 5000. Number of data pakckets will increase but processing time per packet should be lower.
Another option is to find the ODS PSA request in the PSA Tree. ODS PSA Request number is the request number right before the REQU number in the ODS requests tab. They begin with ODSR.... Find this in the PSA and update to data target from there. This processing is then done in the background and the time out setting does not apply.
If you do not see the request then turn on display generated object from the menu of the admin workbench Settings --> Display Generated Objects
Cheers

164Hi Hardeep,
Looks like the transformation and DTP need to be activated again.
The error is RSBK (299) - 'Invalid program status'. So please activate the transformation and DTP possibly activate the DSO's too.
It should then work.
Thanks

Data load failed while loading data from one DSO to another DSO..
Hi,
On SID generation data load failed while loading data from Source DSO to Target DSO.
Following are the error which is occuuring--
Value "External Ref # 2421-0625511EXP " (HEX 450078007400650072006E0061006C0020005200650066
Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT, InfoObject 0BBP
So, i'm not getting WHY in one DSO i.e Source it got successful but in another DSO i.e. Target its got failed??
While analyzing all i check that SIDs Generation upon Activation is ckecked in source DSO but not in Target DSO..so it is reason its got failed??
Please explain..
Thanks,
SnehaHi,
I hope your data flow has been designed in such a way where the 1st DSO as a staging Device and all transformation rules and routine are maintained in between 1st to 2nd dso and sid generation upon activation maintained in 2nd DSO. By doing so you will be getting your data 1st DSO same as your source system data since you are not doing any transformation rules and routine etc.. which helps to avoid data load failure.
Please analyze the following
Have you loaded masterdata before transaction data ... if no please do it first
go to the property of first dso and check whether there maintained sid generation up on activation (it may not be maintained I guess)
Goto the property of 2nd Dso and check whether there maintained sid generation up on activation (It may be maintained I hope)
this may be the reason.
Also check whether there is any special char involvement in your transaction data (even lower case letter)

Error while loading application
Hi,
I'm not sure this is the right forum, but I try anyway.
I'm trying to use a 3rd party Java application Unico (just use it, I don't develop anything of that) that after working for weeks, suddenly refuses to load at startup, and returns an error like "Error while loading application" (no error code number no other hint about the problem).
The tests that did not work: 1. I installed the Unico again, 2. I created a new login and installed Unico in that login, 3. I started in safe mode (pressing shift at startup) - I always had the same message and loading aborted.
The only workaround I found is to use an external startup disk, that I fortunately had available to face cases like this: when starting the system up from that disk Unico WORKS, not only, but I can even use the same application in my internal disk that does not load otherwise.
My first conclusion is that something wrong happened to my system on the startup disk that prevents loading a Java application. The user Library seems to make no difference.
So my questions to the Java experts are:
- what in the system could suddenly block the loading of a Java application ? where should I look in the system (I can use the terminal and know something about UNIX) to fix this ? could this be caused by a permission problem ? (it looks a lot alike, but repairing permissions in Disk Utility didn't help) if so where are the Java support files stored in the Library and System Library to check and compare between the good and the bad system ?
- is there a better workaround to this problem, other than starting up from a different disk ?
Some additional info:
- the application Unico is freely provided by the Italian tax organization, so there is basically no support to use it...
- Unico requires Java 1.3.1: my system is constantly updated/upgraded and it runs the most recent release that is 1.4.0 (I guess...) and anyway worked very well till a week ago.
- since the last time the application had worked I installed two (non Apple) packages: the TomTom (GPS navigator) setup application, and new Epson printer drivers for my new printer.
- in all cases I repaired permissions and I also verified the disk with the disk utility
- Unico does not uses printers (it creates pdf files instead) and does not use USB, which in turn is used by both the Epson driver and the TomTom app.
So I cannot connect the Unico malfunctioning to this new SW except for the fact that I cannot find any other answer...
Thanks to anybody having any suggestion about
PieroI made some research: it seems to me that most (if not all) the Java machine is in the /System/Library/Framework/JavaVM.framework folder: but I found no evident difference in the file permissions between the good and the bad system (see my previous posts).
There are other locations where there are java related files: eg in Javaconfig.plist (in /System/Library/Java) that seems to name the locations for all components of the java machine. I checked some files in /usr/bin referenced in the .plist: again no difference.
Something "could" be a clue; just before the crashing point the Unico (java) program causes a message in the Console:
"[JavaAppLauncher Warning] Specifying a specific version for JVMVersion 1.3.1 is deprecated. Use the more general 1.3* instead."
This would be a clue... except that this message appears also when the program loads without problem (in the "good" system where it works). So it is more a warning.
Another clue is the message that appears in the console in the "good" system when the Unico loads correctly; and this seems really an error message (whateve it means):
"Index 1 for 'pxm#' 2062 out of range (must be between 0 and 0)
Attempted to read past end of 'pxm#'(2062) resource"
The funny thing is that when this message appears, Unico loads with no probem, while in the "bad" system it doesn't even get to this point.
So in my opinion both messages are irrilevant to identify the problem.
Or not ?
And again my main question is: what in the system could suddenly block the loading of a Java application ?
Thanks for any hint

Edited by: IgnitedMind on May 1, 2013 12:06 AMWithout knowing what you have installed or what modifications you have done it is not possible to say what goes wrong. Like I previously mentioned, you may have installed an incompatible version of a core system library. Sorry, I'm not going to read any installation manual to find out what you might have done wrong. You may need to reinstall the complete system or just the popt installation package.
Based on my experience people sometimes seem to misunderstanding the concept of software version requirements, which are always minimum version requirements and does not mean, for instance, software made for gcc 4.1.10 does not work under 4.1.12. You cannot simply upgrade or downgrade core system libraries without affecting the installed system. Using YUM to install software will check this and prevent you from breaking your system. RPM does not check any dependencies and hence can break your system beyond repair. -

Hi Gurus,
I'm trying to upgrade my test 9.2.0.8 rac to 10.1 rac. I cannot upgrade to 10.2 because of RAM limitations on my test RAC. 10.1 Clusterware software was successfully installed and the daemons are up with OCR and voting disk created. Then during the installation of RAC software at the end, root.sh needs to be run. When I run root.sh, it gave the error: while loading shared libraries: libpthread.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory. I have libpthread.so.0 in /lib. I looked up on metalink and found Doc ID: 414163.1 . I unset the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL in vipca (unsetting of LD_ASSUME_KERNEL was not required in srvctl because there was no LD_ASSUME_KERNEL in srvctl). Then I tried to run vipca manually. I receive the following error: Error 0(Native: listNetInterfaces:[3]). I'm able to see xclock and xeyes. So its not a problem with x.

10.1.1.2 sunny2prv.ezhome.com sunny2prv
My questions are:
should ping on sunny1vip and sunny2vip be already working? As of now they dont work.
if you look at oifcfg getif, I initially had eth1 10.0.0.0 global cluster_interconnect,eth0 192.168.2.0 global public then I created eth1 10.1.1.0 global cluster_interconnect with setif. Should it be 10.1.1.0 or 10.0.0.0. I looked at the subnet calculator and it says for 10.1.1.1, 10.0.0.0 is the subnet. In metalink they had used 10.10.10.0 and hence I used 10.1.1.0
Any ideas on resolving this issue would be very much appreciated. I had been searching on oracle forums, google, metalink but all of them refer to DOC Id 414163.1 but it does n't seem to work. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Once I execute the add nodeapps command as root on node 1, I was able to get vip exists for config nodeapps on node 2. The above 2 statements resulted me with same values on both nodes. After this I executed root.sh on both nodes, I did not receive any errors. It said CRS resources are already configured.
My questions to the gurus are as follows:
Should ping on vip work? It does not work now.
srvctl status nodeapps -n sunny1pub(same result for sunny2pub)
VIP is not running on node: sunny1pub
GSD is not running on node: sunny1pub

Will crs_stat and srvctl status nodeapps -n sunny1pub work after I upgrade my database or should they be working now already? I just choose to install 10.1.0.3 software and after running root.sh on both nodes, I clicked ok and then the End of installation screen appeared. Under installed products, I see 9i home, 10g home, crs home. Under 10g home and crs home, I see cluster nodes(sunny1pub and sunny2pub) So it looks like the 10g software is installed. -
Error while loading shared libraries: libg2c.so.0
I just installed g77 and compiled some program I wrote for a computaional physics class. They also compile / run fine with xlf90 and xlf95 on a mac.
But here, on my intel box I get this error:
[ryan@dogma Desktop]$ ./a.out
./a.out: error while loading shared libraries: libg2c.so.0: cannot map zero-fill pages: Cannot allocate memory
I know there is plenty of RAM available too.
Any ideas?Check for Task #2299 — gcc-g77 creates "bad" executables in the bugtracker. The maintainer has posted a gcc-g77 package to test. I will test it tonight but another user said that it corrected a problem with octave about the libg2c.so.0 library.
