Make a sequential 2D output

Hi all
i have to write a program that give some numerical inputs and after calculations make some other numerical outputs. these out puts should illustrate in a 2D arraye and table
but in each stage when user push next stage buttom labview should calculate that stage outputs and fill just this row in out put array and table for example in 2nd stage it should fill second row of out put indicators how can i do this?

  • How to make pricing field as output only in sales order header and item lev

    Hi ,
    I want to make the field PRICING DATE as output only both at header and item level. How can i do pls guide me in detail.
    Regards
    Sunaina

    Hi Sunaina ,
    Through User Exit you get this requirement plese take help of ABAPer to activate the user exit according to your requirement.
    Try With this User Exit
    Program MV45AFZZ
    USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFICATION
    This user exit can be used to modify the attributes of the screen fields.
    To do this, the screen fields are allocated to so-called modification groups 1 - 4 and can be edited together during a modification in ABAP. If a field has no field name, it cannot be allocated to a group.
    The usage of the field groups (modification group 1-4) is as follows:
    Modification group 1: Automatic modification with transaction MFAW
    Modification group 2: It contains 'LOO' for step loop fields
    Modification group 3: For modifications which depend on check tables or on other fixed information
    Modification group 4: is not used
    The FORM routine is called up for every field of a screen. If you require changes to be made, you must make them in this user exit.
    This FORM routine is called up by the module FELDAUSWAHL.
    See the Screen Painter manual for further information on structuring the interface.
    I hope it will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.

  • Sequential Digital Outputs or Counters

    I am trying to sequentially flash four digital outputs.  I want to run them at a frequency, with 25% duty cycle, one after the other.  To be clear, output one on for 25%, output two for 25-50%, output three for 50-75%, output four 75-100%, then repeat.  I tried using four counters, but they are not synchronized, so the pulses do not stay sequential.  I am using a USB-6143.  This seems really basic, but I am a pretty new user.
    Thank you -

    Assuming you are using the USB-6343 (there is no USB-6143, although there is a PCI variant), you can either run 4 counter output tasks with triggering and appropriate initial delays, or you can use a single digital output task with the appropriate waveform--for example, using lines 0:3 you could generate {1, 2, 4, 8, 1, 2, 4, 8 ...} to get the desired waveform.  The frequency of each output would be 1/4 of your sample rate (the sample rate is configurable).
    Either method would work, but using digital output seems like a much more straightforward way to go about generating your signals.

    John Passiak

  • Need a procedure to make minus query as output for 2 tables

    Can anybody help me to create a procedure so that I could get minus query of 2 table as a result.
    Requirement:
    I have two table 1- src_table_list ,2- tgt_table_list both tables have 2 columns : serial_no,table_name and 100 records each. and details mentioned in column "table_name" are actually tables name which present in my testing database.
    so I need one procedure which will pick one table_name from src_table_list and one table_name from tgt_table_name each time recursively and provide minus query as a result. as below.
    select c1,c2,c3,c4 from table1 --(fetched from src_table_list)
    minus
    select b1,b2,b3,b4 from table2 --(fetched from tgt_table_list)
    Can any body give or help me to create the procedure..as I have to prepare minus query for more than 200 tables and then I need to test them for integration testing..
    Edited by: 974253 on Nov 30, 2012 5:39 AM

    select 'select '||chr(39)||src_table_list.tblname||chr(39)||','||chr(39)||trg_table_list.tblname||chr(39)||',count(*) from '||' ( select * from '||src_table_list.tblname||'minus select * from '||trg_table_list.tblname||');'
    from src_table_list, trg_table_list
    WHERE src_table_list.serial_no = tgt_table_list.serial_no
    The above statement should give output similar to below code and will list down all the table names in the 2 tables(i.e. above src and trg) -
    select 'src_table_list.tbl1','trg_table_list.tbl1',count(*) from
    (select col1, col2 from src_table_list.tbl1 minus select col1, col2 from trg_table_list.tbl1 );
    select 'src_table_list.tbl2','trg_table_list.tbl2',count(*) from
    (select col1, col2 from src_table_list.tbl2 minus select col1, col2 from trg_table_list.tbl2 );
    Now atleast you can run these statements as script and get to know what all tables are having count differences.
    I might have missed out on some syntax part in above code but hope to have helped you in some way as you will be specific with number of tables to check for differences.

  • Make USB-6001 digital output always high or low in C

    Hello all,
    I am new to the NI DAQ interface. I have an USB-6001 and I am trying to use this device to control some logic circuit in C. So what I want to do is:
    * set some digital output lines to high or low levels, and change their status when needed (in C).
    I have tested the device in NI MAX -> Test Panels, and found that the device is able to do this. Then I try to do it in C. I hace checked the examples, and the function I should use is the one called "DAQmxWriteDigitalU32". I have problem in understanding its input parameters. I have tried something with my own understanding, but it does not work as I expected. Here is one test I did:
    uInt32   data=1;
    int32 written;
    TaskHandle taskHandle=0;
    DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxCreateTask("",&taskHandle));
    DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxCreateDOChan(taskHandle,"Dev1/port0/line7","",DAQmx_Val_ChanForAllLines));
    DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxStartTask(taskHandle));
    DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxWriteDigitalU32(taskHandle,1,1,10.0,DAQmx_Val_GroupByChannel,&data,&written,NULL));
    taskHandle=0;
    DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxCreateTask("",&taskHandle));
    DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxCreateDOChan(taskHandle,"Dev1/port0/line0","",DAQmx_Val_ChanForAllLines));
    DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxStartTask(taskHandle));
    DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxWriteDigitalU32(taskHandle,1,1,10.0,DAQmx_Val_GroupByChannel,&data,&written,NULL));
    I want to simply set "Dev1/port0/line7" and "Dev1/port0/line0" to high level, but only "Dev1/port0/line0" responds me. The second parameter of the function DAQmxWriteDigitalU32 corresponds to numSampsPerChan. If i replace it (currently 1) with a larger value, e.g. 100, I can see that "Dev1/port0/line7" sends a number of 1 out, then return back to 0. So I guess the problem is just that I do not understand well all parameters of the function DAQmxWriteDigitalU32. Can anyone please tell me how I can set a digital output line to 1 or 0?
    Thanks!

  • How do I make front and rear outputs on my Audigy sound the same. Rear is dull and quie

    Hi?My subject line says it all really, I have installed an Audigy Platinum and have a two chanel amp and speakers connected to one port and my headset + mic connected to the other. I've swapped the headphones around to isolate the problem and its quite clear that the rear output is quieter and the quality is dull. I've reinstalled all the drivers with the latest ones from the soundblaster site but its made no difference at all. All audio setting are as default so far as I can tell, I've checked the fader and thats dead centre. Any Ideas. Toad??

    You're a star m8, I was just in that area I hadn't found that tool until just, its looking like the CMSS settings that are causing the prob. It seems best when speakers are set to 4/4. and CMSS is set to CMSS2 or Off. I just set everything to default with all effects off.Seems pretty good now thanks for the help. The card has quite a few differences and improvements on my previous SB Li've Platinum 5., I thought it would be almost identical but its better than I thought with little subtle improvements here and there to both hardware and software. Glad I installed it now, it was just going spare at work and would never have been used again. thanksToad

  • What to make of java -version output?

    hi,
    I have two machines with java on them, doing a -version gives:
    java version "1.4.0"
    Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.0-b92)
    Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.0-b92, mixed mode)
    and
    java version "1.4.0"
    Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.0-b92)
    Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.0-b92, mixed mode)
    The problem is that the first produces a strange error
    ERROR: could not initialize interface awt - exception: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: processSynchronousLightweightTransfer
    so I was wondering what the differences are between b03 and b92, and where these might be documented on suns website?
    thanks,
    asjf

    You posted the same thing.
    As far as I know b92 was the release of 1.4.0. Builds previous to that would have been betas. Newer builds have bug fixes in them, just as x.x.n builds do.
    You might also compare video cards, drivers and fonts on the two systems. Many problems in the GUI systems are caused by variances in those.

  • How do I make a VI that contols a 6534 card take less time to load 1Mbyte and output data ?

    Hello-
    I'm developing a pattern generation burst mode type VI that reads byte characters from a text file, manipulates the bytes that it reads and then outputs the data from a 6534 card. The REQ1 pin is pulled high which makes the card continually output data until the internal buffer is empty. An internal clock is used. The problem is that the size of the file that is read by the VI can be relatively large, in the 1MByte range. After the VI manipulation, the output array is 16 times larger than the input string. So, when the VI reads a 1MByte text file, the output array contains 16 million entries (each array entry is 3 bits by the way). It takes about 20 seco
    nds to run and output data from the 6534 even when reading files that are 200kbyte or so. I'm outputting the data at 5Mbps. I'm not sure where all the delay is coming from. Using the 'Profile VI" function under the 'Tools' menu shows a snapshot of time that really doesn't help me since it only shows that the time is spent in my VI. Is this just the result of loading large files ? Or, is there a way to preload the 1MByte file into the 32MB of RAM on the 6534 card before the VI is actually run. What I mean is that I do have the option in my system to have a time when all text files will somehow be loaded into the 6534 memory, during some initialization period, and then the VI would be run with the text file already loaded. This of course assumes that the delay is loading the file from the harddrive, but since the harddrive transfer speed is fast, I have no idea where to speed things up. Any ideas ? Thanks !

    Your question actually belongs to the Measurement Devices >> Digital IO section since it concerns operating the 653x family of digital boards. You will see other related questions and answers there. In the future, please direct your digital questions to that forum.
    If you are trying to profile your VI, you can break it into different pieces. For instance, you can make a subVI out of the file data manipulation.
    Now, are you doing pattern generation or burst mode handshaking output? From your description of the signal connections, it looks like burst mode. You can double-check in the 653x User Manual at the http://www.ni.com/manuals pages. Still, it looks like you could accomplish your task with pattern generation. There are example VIs for both operations that
    I suggest you start with. They are located in the LabVIEW >> Examples >> Daq >> Digital >> 653x.llb directory.
    It also sounds like you are doing a single buffered operation, where you have a set amount of data that you want to output, and once done, the VI will stop. You are preloading the data to the buffer at DIO Write.vi before the 6534 actually outputs the data with DIO Start.vi when you program like the examples.
    Thus, start with the appropriate example and then add the File I/O to it. You can even test with a smaller file to see the effects. You will also find useful information concerning the 6534 in the KnowledgeBase, particularly KnowledgeBase 298CGF9M "How Many Samples of Data Can I Store in the Onboard Memory of the NI 6534?". You can find this online by going to the http://www.ni.com/support and choosing KnowledgeBase from the Technical Resources pull-down menu. Then, type in keywords to search for, such as "6534".

  • Help combining output data from an HP4140B and a LakeShore 330

    Hi!
    First of all, I would like to apologize if this question has already been answered in the forums, but I haven't been able to find anything for this particular situation... I am using LabView v.8.6 so as to conduct TSC (thermally stimulated current) measurements, by controlling a Lake Shore Cryotronics 330 (Lake Shore Model 330 Autotuning Temperature Controller) and a HP4140B pA meter. I am taking as a starting point the VIs available in the driver libraries (http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.download_page?p_id_guid=014FB74E7B0C1ED3E0440003BA7CCD... and http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.download_page?p_id_guid=E3B19B3E92C3659CE034080020E748..., respectively), and I would like to merge both programs ("Lake Shore Cryotronics Controller Output.vi" and "HP4140B Example (current vs. voltage).vi") into a single program that can simultaneously record both the current values (at a fixed voltage) from the HP4140B and the temperature as it is changed in the 76K to 300K range (with the Lakeshore 330).
    The problem lies in the fact that I don't know how to make compatible the numeric output "Sample sensor data" of the Lakeshore with the numeric array (which does not have a defined size) named "current/cap" of the HP4140B in aforementioned programs. What I am trying to do is to: (1) save the data to a file (I have attempted using "Write to measurement file" Express block, which I am not sure of whether it's the best option or not); and (2) plot current vs. temperature (not current vs. time and temperature vs. time separately).
    Any help with these issues would be most appreciated, since I'm stuck on my research because I can't record any data! This really goes right over my head...
    PS: I enclose the file that I have been working on, but perhaps it's better to work from scratch (I'm still a newbie and I may have made errors!)

    Kyle,
    Thank you for your response and sorry for having taken a while to reply, but the equipment is shared with other groups and I haven't had access to it in a while.
    I have managed to get the program running using LabVIEW 7.1 (I don't know why, but the HP4140B drivers don't seem to be compatible with LabVIEW 8.6) and using the "HP4140B Read Single Meas.vi" example (and not "HP4140B Read Wave Meas.vi", as I had tried before) so as to get a double instead of an array, avoiding synchronization problems when merging data from the HP4140B and the LakeSHore 330. Then I have used a do-while loop to get "continuous sampling" of the waveform. Nonetheless, because of having chosen this approach, now I can only use a fixed voltage, which would be of for a TSC measurement, except for the fact that I need to increase the voltage in small steps so as to avoid damaging the sample. I am using another do-while loop so as to keep increasing the voltage gradually (and also be able to update the LakeShore 330 parameters), and once the desired voltage is achieved, I press a "stop" button, allowing the program to flow into the next stage and take the measurements... I am aware that it's not an elegant solution, so if you can come up any ideas for an improved version, it would be most appreciated!
    Regards,
    Pablo

  • Is there a way that to make text look like it is being written on the screen?

    I once saw a tiltle (using the font edwardian script) that looked like it was being written on the screen.
    I tried using the linear wipe transition, but this does not make the full effect i want.. for instance, when you make a letter "t" in cursive, you start at the bottom, then go up and then down and finally cross the "t". the wipe just went from left to right....
    thanks

    I have done this for several Titles, using Photoshop and a Layer Mask, that gets "erased," revealing the letters. My Titles were of "handwriting with chalk" on a blackboard, so I could keep the edge of that Layer Mask, looking more like the "chalk." Photoshop also makes it easy to output Layer Comps for each "step" in the handwriting process. IIRC, I did about 5 Frames per Layer Comp on Import, but do not recall if I used an extremely short Cross-Dissolve Transition between those - I intened to do so, but just do not remember if I liked that, or went with just the Still Images? Will try to find that animation, and maybe create a full tutorial of the process. In my case, I also added an SFX of chalk on a chalkboard.
    If you have Photoshop, it's really quite easy to pull off.
    Now, I do not know if Photoshop Elements has Layer Masks yet, which make it so very easy to accomplish. One could do it backward, where the Text Layer gets Erased, and then one would have their full Image as the last in the sequence, and then the next would have a little bit of the Text removed, then a bit more, then a bit more - going backward, until the "writing surface" is clean. One could also do this with a Transparent Background, so that one saw the Video below, and no actual "writing surface" visible.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

    I am using oracle report for this purpose as i have some other validations associated with it.
    i am printing the report output in a flat file.i want ALL THE OUTPUT SHOULD COME IN ONE LINE.
    but this is not happenning so...for the string lengths more than 1000 it's coming in diff line.
    How can i make sure that my output file WILL BE IN SINGLE LINE.
    i tried in unix vi editor i can give 3000 charecters but it doesn't go to the second line.
    any help on this issue will be helpful
    thanks in advance

    If there's no easy way to do it, you may use a "special character", like chr(xx), as your long line delimiter to chop a line into a couple of lines. Then you write a very simple C program to post-process the report output file to remove these "special character".
    If all characters are possible in your report file, you may use a string as the delimiter.
