Make a simple template

Hello,
I bought the Core Java Server Faces book and I would like to have an environment similar to the examples given in the book.
What I want to do is I want to make very simple templates with only the basic JAR libraries that I don't need yet.
The problem I'm having is setting up Studio Creator for a very basic environment. Is there a way to strip the IDE of the JDBC, UI components so I can work with the core JSF/HTML tags?
In particular, I want to remove the
<ui:link binding="#{Page1.link1}" id="link1" url="/resources/stylesheet.css"/>
and the other <ui:/> components from automatically appearing when I try to view the "Design" page.
Is this possible? or sticking to a text editor like vim and gedit the only way to do this?

How to make a custom template the default for Apple Mail (10.7.5)?

Hi,
I'm OK with making a new custom template in Apple Mail. It shows up fine once under "custom" in the stationary pane (and once I take off signature in a new email). But... that's a lot of trouble to go through everytime I want to send an email.
So the question is: can I make my custom template my default for all my emails, unless I want to manually change it? Seems like this should be possible but I can't figure it out and haven't run into any solutions (only on how to make a template).
Do I really have to select it each time?

As an FYI: I just solved the problem by going the "low road." I'll be a bit laborious in case someone else wants a solution at a later date (I know I Googled the topic and found nothing). I experimented by simply:
Opening a new email message
Selecting my custom template
Copying the custom signature (Select All)
Opening another new email message
Selecting Edit on the Signature pulldown menu
Hitting the plus symbol to create/add a new signature in the pane
Pasting into the new signature
Naming it
Selecting "Choose signature" at the bottom of the signatures pane
And violà!!
It now appears as a possible selection *and* as the default.
Better yet - it is now my default and will work as a reply to an email.
I think I got it all right in the list above.
OK, granted, this is a pretty simply signature - a list of my website, SoundCloud, twitter etc with those names in bold and a graphic of my color logo - but... it works! YMMV.
Give it to Apple to make it so simple that any fool could do it (that would be me), you wouldn't need a "specialized" app, and - of course - there wouldn't even be instructions on how to do it!

Make my own template for a one page book?

I need to make a book template that will appear in the list of possible book designs -- is that possible?
Secondly -- I want to make a one-page book (call it a poster if you want) it's really a form that I want to print out with a different photo each time. It's actually a casting form/release for models. I want to be able to shoot a tethered photo of model, put it into a one-page form which already has a model release in it and print it out so they can sign it.
I have not been able to work with any of the existing templates because they won't permit me to reduce the number of pages to one or two. (sure I can always just choose to print one page, but I want to keep all this as simple as possible as it will be casting assistants or studio assistants doing this).
So my questions are:
1. Can I create my own Aperture book template?
2. Can I create a template that is only one or two pages?
3. Can I enter the model's name, email, phone, etc in metadata and have that print out as a release form for them to sign?
4. Can I use Automator to make this a "push the button" operation?

Never mind. I figured it out already. Can turn off page numbering from the pop-up menu on "book action". Should have just the manual. Thanks.

Trying to make a facelets template containing a dataTable

i'm trying to make a facelets template containing a dataTable. i have several problems, but first i'll show you how i wrote the template, simplified of course (the final template contains much more):

2- i write "#{mainBean.actionTodo}", and the function actionTodo() certainly exists in that bean, but i get an error that the property "actionTodo" is could not be found in that bean (i guess it's looking for a property, not a function). but why, it's in the "action" property of a submit button, so it should not be this way. how can i fix this?

seeing your answer, i don't think you've used facelets. the id's are not the issue here, they work fine. and besides, they're not variable.
i'm asking about the other two issues. what's the part that you don't understand? there isn't any more code than this, other than the template for xyz:simpleColumn, which isn't important anyway, since it works ok.

How to make a draft/template of a transition

I'd like to know how to make a draft/template of a transition in adobe premiere pro cs 5.5.

You can't. You can copy and paste a transition, though, if you target the destination track. You can also change your default transition (right-click the transition you want in the Effects panel) and the default transition duration (Edit > Preferences > General) and apply that one by one or to a group of clips by selecting them and going to Sequence > Apply Default Transitions to Selection.

AlexCarey, I've been having issues purchasing recently and place a number of calls to the support team. On Oct. 5th, and on my own decision, I went into my itunes profile and re-entered my credit card expiration date and security code. (Notice, it is not displayed for safety measures.) Today, I received an email from Apple support verifying if I made changes made to my account. For the heck of it, I logged back into itunes; click "Buy". It's working again after three days of failure. However, diagnosis still displays "Secure link to itunes store failed". Very confusing state of affairs, lately. See my post on "Itunes dilemma"

How can I make a blogger template in DW?

I generally know how to use DW, and I am still learning. I
was hoping to make a Blogger template for my new blog. I know that
it's a CSS heavy thing, which is fine. I guess I just wondered, can
I just make a template and import it and still have the same
functionality that blogger gives me? Do I have to do anything

Open Mail, Help
So, create your template from scratch or edit an existing Mail template and re-save it with a new name.
Your own saved or edited/re-saved templates are stored in the Custom list at the bottom of the Stationery types.
The default templates remain with original names in the original folders.
Then to use your template in a New Message, select it from Show Stationery, Custom.
To make it easier to select Stationery templates, first open Mail, New Message, View, Customize Toolbar, and then drag the Show Stationery button to the New Message toolbar. (It will not ever appear in the default Mail toolbar, only the New Message toolbar, and can only be added to the New Message toolbar.)

I want to make a simple line chart

i want to make a simple line chart using the data in two nonadjacent columns.
it seems that the easiest way to do this is to export the sheet to google docs and use THEIR charting, which is a two-click deal.
is there an easy way to do this in numbers?
my impression:
numbers:
very fancy, super pretty, easy to modify APPEARANCE, difficult to use actual charts. custom paint job on a junker
googledocs:
available everywhere, basic, more difficult with actual data flexibility, but you can use what you've got.
the whole emphasis on numbers seems to be how pretty i can make displays, but not a lot of emphasis on making it easy to make things work.
can anyone shed some light on how to make this simple instead of pretty?

You can definitely use the technique I mentioned to order the columns to make it easy to chart:
Here I created a table (the top one) to hold the original data and make a second table (the lower one) to pull data into two adjacent columns:
The bottom table, as I said pulls data from the top data table:
Then highlight the data in the table to chart, and selec the chart type from the menu (I suggest the bar chart which is the first item in the chart tool menu):
I made up this data and mean it to be no reflection on your running ability

I find that if you have multiple 3d object they must be merged into a single 3d layer their positions reset to align to the same axises then sized and positioned along them. I'm quite new to JDev, so I downloaded the 10.1.3 preview. I'm here with a copy of the book '10g PL/SQL Programming' by Scott Urman.
In chapter 2.2.1 it is described how to use JDev to make a simple connection to the DB and debug a PL/SQL script.
But I just cant find the Connection Wizard?! I can only create a connection to a CVS server in my JDeveloper.
Any hints? thx!

Which version of JDeveloper 10.1.3 did you downloaded?
You need the J2EE packaging (not the core Java one) if you want to have the DB connection.

Simple Template Help

Hello, I hope someone can help, I need some help. I'm a
dreamweaver newbie. Came over from Frontpage.
I am trying to make a flexible template and I'm having
problems. I've watched the adobe video on templates but this hasn't
helped me out.
I'm working on a portion of my website that will have
multiple pages with the same header AND the same drop down menus. I
am trying to build the editable region of my template with tables.
I want one table to be a 2 column, 2 row table. One of the columns
is reserved for Google ads. and the other column I want to be
"editable" with text and photos.
My problem is that I am not able to get the freedom I want in
my editable regions. I want to be able to add more tables within
the editable cells. I'm just NOT getting the flexibility I need in
the editable regions of my template. Help!!! I've been trying to
build this for hours without getting it figured out.
Appreciate any advice and I will gladly add more details if

Be aware that DW will 'expect' you to know lots more about
HTML and CSS than

Code looks reasonable except
a) the code in the actionPerformed is commment out
b) the owner of the dialog should be the frame
If you need further help then you need to create a "Short, Self Contained, Compilable and Executable, Example Program (SSCCE)",
