Make code inspector window independant?

Is there any way to toggle/switch the code inspector window
to be independant of the normal design page view (which might be in
design or code view)? To me this would seem to be one of the main
advantages of having a separate code inspector. i'd love to be able
to work on code in the head section of the page and see it's effect
at another part of the page in the design view. it would be best to
be able to turn this "tracking" on or off.
The other thing that's driving me crazy is for some reason
when working in some javascript in the head section of a page (in
the code inspector window again), whenever i hit "save" my position
jumps to somewhere in the middle of the page instead of keeping my
current position (where the cursor is). any insight
somebody?

  • Error code: 0x800700C1   Windows 8.1

    Hello,
    I just installed PSE 12, to upgrade from PS Essentials 3.2
    Program installed, then when propmpted to import existing Catalog/Album I received the message that onece done, that I would not be able to use the old version.
    Okay, that is why I finally upgraded to PSE 12.
    Now can open PSE, but when hit the tab to Organize, I am getting the error code:  0x800700C1
    TT HP support as this is a brand new laptop, and they tell me it is a problem with Adobe ?
    Adobe communicating with DirectX ... Error message says that I do not have it installed, when in fact I do and it is Direct X v11
    Looks like there are a number of other Adobe users with the same issue...?
    What's up with that ?
    Cannot get ahold of anyone at Adobe ... What a dissappointment.

    Make Sure your windows is up -to-date
    Reinstall windows Microsoft .NET frameworks
    Try from different user account.

  • Internet Explorer 9 not showing as not installed when using Windows Update - Error: Code 9C48 Windows Update encountered an unknown error.

    I built a few new Windows Server 2008 R2 with SP1 VMs today and ran into a problem where Windows Update is not detecting the fact that Internet Explorer 9 is already installed. Internet Explorer 9 keeps showing up as an available update when
    using Windows Update. When I try to install it as a test I get the error message: Code 9C48 Windows Update encountered an unknown error.
    My normal build procedures include applying all the patches for the OS prior to any other work on the servers. The way I like to do the patching is to do every update other then IE9 in the begininng and once all the other updates have been
    completed, install IE9 and then patch it if there are updates available. I followed this procedure on every build for the last year and I have not run into any issues until today. The only difference today is the latest patches that were released yesterday
    April 10th, 2012. To test the theory that it may be one of the latest patches, I reinstalled Windows from scratch making sure to format the disks and then I installed IE9 right after the OS install without any other updates. Once the
    server was rebooted, I checked Windows Update and Internet Explorer 9 still showed up as update (Not the Cumulative Update which normally shows up after an IE9 install) and yes, I did make sure to click the 'Check for Updates' link before I looked just
    in case. My next test was to patch a couple of the servers I had built prior to April 10th, 2012. Those servers did not have any issues with the latest updates and they are not experiencing the same behavior as the newly built servers.
    I ended up comparing the IE9 Version on the cleanly install OS (No updates were installed except IE9) and the servers I built last week which were patched. The versions are exactly the same.
    My findings above lead me to believe that there is a problem with the latest IE9 install package (which includes the latest cumulative update) and the Windows Update detection component.
    I guess I am looking for someone to report this up the chain to get this fixed so no one else runs into this problem. I know in some cases we may not be able to see additional IE9 updates until this is resolved.

    I just started having the same problem.
    I was creating a new VM in Vsphere from our 2008 R2 SP1 image and it hasn't been updated and repacked in a while, so i have to install about 60 updates, including IE9.
    I went through my normal setup as i had just created 2 VMs and updated them on Monday with no problem.
    I got the same error code as you. The install looks like it installed IE9, but the update is still showing up as available in Windows Update.
    I deleted the VM, created a new one, chose all updates except IE, then did that and it still shows up again.
    Then i deleted the VM, installed just IE 9 and it still shows up as available on reboot.
    I have a script that i can use to reset/clear WSUS cache on the computer, (Software distribution folder, and the windows update log, and recreates a certificate), so i tried that and then rebooted and it still showed up.
    I then decide ok, maybe the Image got messed up somehow, so i started creating a new 2008 R2 install from scratch last night and chose to update just IE9 as the first install. I did that, rebooted and it didn't show up in Windows Updates, so i though GREAT.
    I proceed to kick off the 100+ downloads needed before i left and left the console up.
    When i got in to work this morning, the updater seemed stuck on 31 of 102 updates, this one in particular: KB288516. I rebooted the computer, because it wouldn't stop and just seemed stuck since last night, which these updates should only have taken about
    an hour to install at most. I log back in and sure enough, it now shows Internet Explorer 9 at the bottom of the update list as being needed for install.
    I believe this is Patch Tuesday week, so maybe they screwed up something with the Windows Update detection engine, because it worked fine on Monday when i had to update IE9 on 2 VMs that i created.

    We are working on making all our ABAP program to make unicode compliant. We are activating unicode flag in attribute and correcting syntax errors. After this when we do the extended checks or SLIN or code inspector, usually giving error for many statements such as whenever there is message.
    <b>Code is :</b>message a208 with text-004.
    <b>Error description is</b> :
    The message 208 for id zz has no long text.
    You can hide this message using "#EC *
    208 is -   & does not exist in & &. And  text 004 is - Cannot open the output file
    By using #EC * we can remove errors. But Is this the correct way and what does this indicate? Please explain.

    Can you check whether the message number 208 in message id ZZ has the Self Explanatory checkbox as checked or not? I think it is not checked and u have also not maintained any long text. Hence the error.
    By using #EC - you do not remove the error, however u hide it from SLIN.
    It is used if there is some known error you cannot avoid which is returned by SLIN and you dont want it to be reported. Also, a way to "cheat" the reviewer who might be checking for errors.

  • Floating inspector window?

    What happened to the floating inspector window?  Is there anyway to get this feature back in the latest Pages?

    Because Pages 5 was knocked up in great haste and they have appalling or no Quality Control.
    The new design fashion at Apple is to get rid of floating Inspectors and imitate Windows instead.
    They don't seem to have anyone independently checking their work. I found it within minutes of opening Pages 5.
    Apple likes to spring its surprises on its users, unfinished, document trashing, bugs and all.

  • Abap code inspector (tx : SCI) to detect certain patterns

    Hello Experts,
    I want to use SAP Code Inspector to detect common problematic ABAP codes for all developed programs.
    But, I don't know how to make the check variant for detecting follwoing three patterns.
    SELECT * FROM
    SELECT * INTO
    SELECT SINGLE * INTO
    I guess I can use "Search for ABAP tokens" or "Search for ABAP statements paterns". But, It did'nt work because ' * ' represents any sequence of characters in the code inspector.
    Anyone can help me?

    I managed to set up the variant, however found a problem.
    I used "Search ABAP Statement Patterns" under "Search Functs" and set the pattern like followings.
    SELECT + INTO *
    SELECT SINGLE + INTO *
    However following statements were detected.
    SELECT * INTO TABLE IT_DRAW FROM DRAW.
    SELECT MANDT INTO TABLE IT_DRAW FROM DRAW.
    SELECT SINGLE * INTO TABLE IT_DRAW FROM DRAW.
    SELECT SINGLE MANDT INTO TABLE IT_DRAW FROM DRAW.
    It's because + means one ABAP token in the code inspector.
    Is there anyway to find only "SELECT SINGLE *" and "SELECT *" ?

    Is there a way to confine the checks performed by Code Inspector to my
    program only?
    My program invokes much SAP-supplied code in the form of includes.  And
    the code inspector covers this code as well.  I am interested in seeing the
    results for my code only.

    Using the INCLUDE statement makes any coding part of the program for the compiler and most checks within the Code Inspector.
    Best Pratice is not to use/offer INCLUDES for reuse. If fury old code makes the inclusion mandatory then wrapping it in a resuse component. e.g. a function group is the next best solution.

    Table 'Table_name' sub-object type TABL sub-object name 'table_name'
    Buffering type is initial but delivery class is "C".
    How to avoid this?

    To build a new Code Inspector check, you have to do the following:
    ·     Create a new global class that extends one of the existing Code Inspector classes
    ·     Implement the instance constructor
    ·     Implement the actual check routine in the RUN method
    ·     Implement method GET_ERROR_TEXT to output message texts
    ·     Include the new check into the check variant tree
    Additionally, if your check has user parameters:
    ·     Add user parameters as private class attributes to your check class
    ·     Set flag HAS_ATTRIBUTES in the instance constructor
    ·     Implement methods GET_ATTRIBUTES and PUT_ATTRIBUTES to get and write away attributes
    ·     Implement method QUERY_ATTRIBUTES of interface IF_CI_TEST to create the Pop-Up for the parameter input

  • How to stop the Company Code popup window in MIRO!

    Hi,
    When User logs in the system and enters into the MIRO transaction, he is asked to enter the Company Code first in order to proceed further. I know that once you enter the company code then the system does not ask it to enter again during that login, however, it will asks again whenever User login the system again!
    Can someone tell that how to stop this Company Code popup window in MIRO, so that the system should not ask for the Comp Code whenever User logs in and enters into MIRO? I think there are some entries maintained in the User Master for this!

    It is Necessary for the user to enter the company code for which he need to process the Invoice.
    First think is if the user knows ,that he is only going to do for one company code.then
    in the T code SU3.
    In the parameter TAB
    you can make the Default value for the parameter ID BUK as your Comany Code value ( Eg 1000)
    so that when ever the user does the MIRO ,it comes with that company code only.
    and if he want to do for another comapany code ,he has to use the option of Switching the comapny code.
    so this is user dependent and has to be made for all users.
    Note .the above setting works only you have entered saved and logged off and log in again.
    also ,this value gets defaulted you all the comapny codes in all screen.

  • Opening new tabs makes the browser window wider

    when opening a new tab in safari
    it makes the browser window bigger (at the bottom)
    but not only at the bottom actually
    after a few close-open's it also starts growing at the top
    and for me it's unacceptable cause there are folders that i need fulltime access to (at the top)
    is there a way (a script) to prevent safari "grow" and make the browser window bigger in a while ?
    i don't really know why is it happening because if you press cmd+t it opens a new tab and the browser window kinda slides bigger at the bottom but then if you press cmd+w it does the opposite and the browser window stays the same size after those actions
    i can't follow but after some time it starts to be bigger not only at the bottom
    it grows til the dock and then starts growing at the top
    is there a way to prevent that ?
    i mean take opera for example. it always stays the same size and new opened tabs take the "inside space" if you know what i mean. the browser window doesn't get bigger. there is space allocated especially for tabs
    i like safari but it is very important for me that it stays the same size all the time
    i have all windows and folders situated exactly where i want them and if something moves and covers other items, it gets uncomfortable

    Yes, it sounds like this is the cause.
    Some pop-up window code forces the new window to be a certain size. Since it's intended to open in a new window, that normally wouldn't cause problems. But you're forcing the pop-up to open as a new tab in the current window, which causes the current window to be resized to that new page's defined size.

    Goto SCI transaction and define a check variant which will examine your code for errors. In this variant you can specify the naming convention for your Local Variables, Global Variables etc. In the same variant you can define the Performance Checks like Loop within a loop, nested selects, security checks, programming conventions etc. Make the variant global so that everybody has access to it.
    2. Now you are ready to use this variant. Goto SCII --> Select Single --> Select an entry from the dropdown --> give the corresponding progam name/class name --> Give a variant name under Check Variant.
    3. Execute.
    4. It will show all the discrepancies in your code from where you can double click and goto the respective line of code and correct the error.
    Note that you can also use a STANDARD VARIANT.

    ==> I/O field (input field) ... has no accessible label
    Can any one tell me abt this what exactly could be the error .... ( Syntactically Correct & also activated Well ).

    Usually when we create input field from dictionary, input field is accompanied by a label on its left. And if you see carefully there is a line connecting the label and the input field.
    Do you have any input field which doesn;t have corresponding label, or is there any label and input field pair where you cannot see the line connecting them.
    In former case define label for the input field (in same line) and check that in property window of label on 'display' tab either checkbox 'As label on left' or 'As label on right' is checked. In latter case just check the property and check these two checkbox.

    We want to run the code inspector on standard SAP reports (say, RABAB0504). But when we run the code inspector, it gives the message "This is a SAP object that cannot be checked". Why can't we run the Code Inspector on this?
    If we copy the code of Code Inspector into a Z program and remove the checks for this standard programs, would it run successfully or would there be any complications in that?
    Please help me.

    Well, it doesn't make much sense it run it on an SAP object. What would you do if it found something? But, if you must try, why not try copying it yourself and see if it works?
