Make movie coverart use white background instead of black

The coverArt used for movies and TV shows does not use the full 600x600 pixel size like music albums. It leaves black sections above and below each movie coverArt. Is there any way to change the background color to white so it blends nicely with the rest of the screen?

Drop-down menus text on white background instead of blue

I installed Firefox 9.0.1 on a new PC running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.
The selected option on the drop-down menus consists of black text surrounded by a thin blue border on a white background. This makes it difficult to see. On the old machine and on my laptop, this [selected option] text appears on a light blue background which is easier to see.
Has something gone wrong in the installation process? Everything else in Firefox appears to be working as before.
Is there a way of getting back the blue background on the selected option of a drop-down menu?

I had this problem. Disabling adblock plus 1.2.2 resolves it. (tools / ad ons)
Now I have to have adverts, or no Guardian. Tricky choice!

Viewer shows white background instead of free-frame of clip - What happened

Did I accidentally change a setting somewhere? Whenever I pause a clip in the viewer the free-frame turns into a white background so it becomes near impossible to edit. How do you fix this?

White bars instead of black?

If anyone can help me, I'd appreciate it. I'm not sure how/why this started happening, but when I watch movies online I now see WHITE bars above and below the film instead of BLACK ones as I did before. White ones are a bit blinding and highly annoying. Does anyone know anything about this? Please help! Thanks so much!

I second this question... My eyes have trouble focusing when their are two white lights above and below videos. I would like to know how to change it to black where my eyes wont have to work to see those darker scenes. Kind of makes turning off the lights during movies useless too.

White fade instead of black in a transition

Hi,
I am working on a transition between two clips in FCE4. I want the transition to be a really quick fade out and fade in, almost like a really fast bright flash. I attached the two clips (I need to in order for the transition to be as fast as I desire and therefore can't use a white matte like I originally tried) and then place the fade in/fade out transition to overlap both clips. This works, only it fades quickly to black and then to my next clip. I want it exactly the way it is, only for the fade transition to be white instead of black. Any help?

What setting to make movies play from the beginning instead of where you...

Hi,
I remember a setting that you could change to make your movies or podcast start from the beginning of the movie instead of where you left off.
Could anyone direct me to where I could change that setting?
For example: if I watch half of a movie and go to another movie and watch that one, when I come back to the first one it is starting where I left off. I want it to always start in the beginning of the movie.

If you select multiple tracks and go to Get Info (say Yes to the prompt) there's an option down at the bottom to Remember Position. Put a check mark in front of it and select "No." In your movies in iTunes, you can press Apple-A to select all of the files.

Make HP7510 printer use other cartridge when printing black and white document.

Hi,
HP7510 inkjet printer.
Assuming normal black is used up. Will the printer continue with the
photo black cartridge to complete documets?
Can I configure the printer to do so?

The photo cartridge is used for graphics and printing on photo paper. You may be able to use the photo cartridge by selecting Photo paper in the driver settings. This is not a recommended solution - printing will be slower and it may put too much ink on the page. It may be an OK solution for temporary printing.

Firefox suddenly misinterpreting wmode transparent. Instead, displaying my content against a white background, instead of transparent. HELP.

White background transparency and black box outline removal ?

Hello,
I need to know how to do two things with Illustrator CS (yes, the old version).
First, I need to turn all white areas to transparent. I have two imported images which have white square backgrounds behind their pictures / designs. I need to over-lap a design over another, but the white area / square behind the image is interferring with the other. How do I make all white to be transparent ?
Second, when I remove / hide areas of an image with a white box it has a black outline. How do I remove this black outline?

1. Better take Photoshop or any other comparable raster programme.
2. You're probably talking about a black stroke. Read about strokes in the help files.

White background, blue and black text only

Had the same problem several weeks ago and it went away when I re-set the proxy setting. Problem now resurfaced.
First bit - 'untrusted site' keeps popping up. Got one for Google . / Firefox help. Can now only use Chrome to get to Firefox help (thus I'm unable to provide the 'troubleshooting info')
Then I get to a site - e.g. Mozilla Support and the background is white and the only text is black or blue hyperlinks.
I have: - Reset / reloaded Firefox, deleted the 'cert8.db' file. The clock is fine.
Any help would be appreciated.

Looks that you are blocking CSS files.
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Creating white letterbox instead of black

when putting 16;9 into 4;3, the letterbox at the top and the bottom is black. Can someone tell me how to make it white?

Put your video on the Video 2 track.
Then, on the Video 1 track behind it, put white video or a white graphic.

Is there any fix to show transparent png background instead of black ?

When I try to load a png file with transparent background into firefox 35.0.1, the background appears black.
I've already tried Transparent standalone images add-on with no results .
Also there is not an option in about:config to fix this .

That code should probably be in userContent.css and not in userChrome.css

Checker background instead of black.

Two questions from a guy who is kicking and screaming leaving in FCP7. I have two questions. My fade from black on the timeline is a checkerboard, I want it to be black. And two, the step forward buttons on the right monitor when clicked remains stationary and just repeats the audio frame that it sits on. Thoughts? A preference change?

Recovering lost White background on blueprint file

I was at work today and opened a Ps document that someone else had created. I don't know what I did (I'm a relatively new Ps user) and I don't even know how I ended up saving it. The document is floor plans overlaid on a site plan with logos, text. etc. (so, it's too complicated for my limited time and knowledge to be able to re-import the source document and re-format the entire thing). When I first opened the document, all the floor plans looked normal, but now, one no longer has a white background. The black outlines of the rooms are still there, but there's nothing underneath (I see the gray and white checkerboard background between the black outlines). I need to know how to make that area white again. It seems to me like maybe I deleted a layer... maybe... I don't know...? I can't just use the fill tool to fill white into the background space because (a) the entire shape is not closed, so applying a fill to one area fills the entire document and (b) I know that's not the right way to do it... I'm trying to get it back to the way it's supposed to be, not just make it look right because other people from work might still use the electronic file. Please help!

Thanks for your reply! Someone else answered (I posted the question twice) and said to make a new layer filled with white. I did that, and then moved my new layer behind the site rendering, and that did the trick!
