Make non-editable sections of webpage?

I'm designing a site using contribute. I'm wondering if I can
take a webpage that is already completed and make certain sections
of it uneditable.... such as the main links, or certain divs... Is
there a way to do this? Or can this only be accomplished with
templates?

This is possible to create by handcoding, but you have to
create editable regions and not non-editable regions.
Contribute understands the editable region code, also when
it's not a dreamweaver template (using dreamweaver templates of
course has a lot of other advantages).
The code you need looks like this:

non editable, the sentence 'This content is editable...' is
editable. The head section and title are also editable (convenient

How to make a editable section non editable?

When I created my sample site in DW4, I made my template with editable/non editable section. My footer I made editable, now I would like to add a few links on the footer (contact me, about me, etc). I did place an image,background color in the footer.
Should or can I convert the footer of my template to non editable so that I do the above and have the change made to all pages in the form of a libary item, or is there another way to do this efficently?

Just to avoid confusion, the version of DW you are using is NOT DW4, it's DWCS4. DW4 was released in 1998 and superseded by DMX (6.0).

Placing a Library item in that footer editable region would certainly give you the flexibility you are seeking, but there is a more efficient way to do this. That way would be to use a server-side include. The disadvantage of using a Library item is that after making any changes to it, you must upload every affected page to the server again (since, as with Templates, only local files are affected by these changes). On the other hand, the disadvantage of using server-side includes is that you must change your filenaming system site-wide. If your site is not too large (say <20 pages), and if you are not so experienced with server stuff, then Library items may be your best method.

You can implement the BADI" BBP_UI_CONTROL_BADI".
You can check for the role of the user who has logged in(e.g. for user REQUESTER,there will be a distinct role to idnetify that the user is a requester) and then acc set the display properties for the field PRICE.

Make Non-editable Column in Table Control of ME21N and ME22N

Hi Experts,
I was trying to look for a solution to make the columns for field MEPO1320-SLFDT(Stat Deliv. Date), MEPO1320-EEIND (Deliv. Date) and MEPO1211-NETPR (Net Price) from transaction ME21N and ME22N to be non-editable ONLY when Qty Received (MEPO1320-WEMNG) > 0.
I'd found that the modify screen codes were located at Class CL_TABLE_VIEW_MM, Method MODIFY_SCREEN_TC_LINE but there were no enhancement spots available to add my code. Is there any other method i can use to make those fields non-editable?

I think you can use this BAdi: ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST - Enhance Processing of Enjoy Purchase Order.
Use the method PROCESS_ITEM to control the fields at the item level.
I think is not possible to make the fields non-editable, however, you can put an error message whenever your condition is verified, and the user won't be able to change the fields.

But the requirement is to make Tax code in PO non-editable after GRN (we don,t have CIN implemented.),
What happening is after GRn if tax ocde is changed in print preview the total or tax value is showing as per new/changed tax code. Also same tax code picked up in MIRO.
I want to avoid that.

I really don't understand what you're trying to do.
In the ComboBox default state, you cannot type text into the non-drop-down portion. If you set it to editable, then you can type text in the non-drop-down portion.
But, in both of these situations, the user can still open the drop down and select a new value.
Do you want to display a drop down, but not give the users the ability to select a new option? If so, you might not be able to work something up by listening to the change event, although I would expect that to be non-conducive to good interface design.
If you don't want to show the drop down at all, use a Text component instead of a ComboBox.
You might also try disabling the ComboBox in order to prevent the user from interacting with it.
If you can elaborate on what behavior you're expecting and why it is unexpected, that might help us point you in the right direction.

In txn. SHDO create a screen Variant for the tcode MIRO (prog. SAPLFDCB, Screen 0020).
Then click on Create icon from top
It will open the MIRO screen, then click on payment tab, maintain entries in baseline date then clik enter it will popup one screen, there you need to flag under "output Only" for Baseline date, then save.
this setting will make non editable field.

I'm trying to make the field Collective number ( ekko-submi ) non editable only for a specific document type, using the logic above.
I change the badi ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST method FIELDSELECTION_HEADER with the code below. My problem is this method is not called in program LMEPOBADIU07 (FM MEPOBADI_FS_HEADER), becouse the insert command fails in the following code. Anybody already know this problem?

we like to do in PR Material's short text, date, Pur Grp & Requested by heads are in editable stage after final release.

You may define as Field Selection Key for your PR release indicator via customizing:
SPRO
MM -PUR-PR-Release procedure-Procedure with classification
- Set Up Procedure with Classification
-Release indicator
-Now choose your final release indicator
-Fill in FSK:
Example:
Field Selection Key FZ01
Now add this FSK to your customizing via screen layout:
SPRO:
MM-PUR-PR
-> Define screen layout at doc level
-> Add your FSK to this customizing and customize
according to the field as you want.

Make quantity field of Free goods as non-editable.

I have free goods scheme of 9 + 1 .If quantity of main material is 10 then it will split into 9 + 1 where 1 is free of cost.
While making the sales order the free goods quantity field is editable. So the users are able to change the free goods quantity. I want to make this field as non-editable.
Please suggest how to do this.

If you change the manual qty which is automatically determined by the system then there will be a message thrown by the system
Suppse in your case if 9+1 you change the qty manually to 2 from 1 there is a message V1 no 737 thrown by the system
You need to change the message class thro ABAP development only not possible thro customization
Not only this in delivery also it is possible to change the free qty and this also has to be controlled by the ABAPer only

Hi Shanthi,
If you want to make some rows editable and some as read-only, then the best thing to do is use an iterator. It is basically a class that implements interface IF_HTMLB_TABLEVIEW_ITERATOR and allows you to change properties of each cell of your table. You can do the following:
1. Create an iterator class that implements this interface.
2. Code method RENDER_CELL_START( ) to set all elements of a given row as read-only or editable as required.
3. Leave other two methods empty but do activate them.
4. Declare a public reference in your view implementation class of same type as this iterator class.
5. Pass this iterator class to 'iterator' attribute of your <chtmlb:configTable> in view htm.
In the iterator class, you also need to access your table node to decide which rows to make editable and which row to make readonly. To do this, you can declare an attribute in this class of type CL_BSP_WD_CONTEXT_NODE_TV and instantiate it from the CONSTRUCTOR. And you can instantiate this iterator class from DO_VIEW_INIT_ON_ACTIVATION( ) of your view controller.
