Make visible one DFF related to another DFF on other form

Hi,
My question is regarding descriptive flex fields on Oracle Financials 11.5.8.
We have created a DFF in Invoice form (Oracle Payables) which stores value in ap_invoices_all table.
Then we have created another DFF in Invoice Distribution form which stores value in ap_invoice_distributions_all table.
We need to make the “Invoice Distribution” DFF visible depending on the “Invoice” DFF value.
Please let us know the possibility of doing this if so how to.

Context sensitive flexfields will help. You'll just need to adequately define how to get the context from the line so it can be used to decide what to show at distribution level. If you want it automatic you'll need to identify what field may get you the info. otherwise you can let the user choose the context

All the info you do with your image files is stored in the Lightroom Catalog file. The Catalog file cannot be located on a network it must have a physical connection to the computer.
While the Catalog is in use a LOCK file will be temporarily placed alongside which prevents its use by any other device.

Simple query to find difference between 2 numbers in one column relative to another column

I want to find the difference between 2 numbers from same column corresponding to some condition of another column. How do i that?
Eg: Say I have a table with 3 columns A, B & C.

B -> Varchar2

I want something like "value of column C corresponding to min(col A) - value of column C corresponding to min(col B) = result (number)" without having to write 2 select statements. How do I do that?

I am trying to query the v$archived_log view. And currently 'm running the below 2 queries to find out the updated archives on the DR site and then manually subtracting it:

Hi Nemec, you can make that happen with out coding. Use the Formated Search to define a query that will be triggered by that field when pressing shift + F2

Itunes Library .itl file in one folder, music in another Itunes makes no sense!

A while ago I attempted to move one of my libraries to another folder to try to force Itunes to orginise my files in a way that makes sense.   Older versions of itunes apparently used a Music folder and the new one doesn't (or is it the other way around). So I end up with some files in The Beatles/ItunesMedia/Music/Beatles and other files in Itunes The Beatles/Itunes Mediia/Beatles.
I wanted to force Itunes to re-orginize all of the files under which ever system is newer. I read up and was happy to find tha Itunes had a command to re-orginize and/or consolidate the files.   BUT carrying out this process turned out to be baffling.   It is very unclear what exactly these commands do and how to use them.
So now I have one folder called The Beatles and another folder called The Beatles ALL.   My .itl file is in The Beatles and all my music is in folders in The Beatles All/
I tried to fix this and saw some really strange behavior.   When I open my Library and play a song, that song is moved to ANOTHER folder next to the Music folder.   So now I have my itl file in one folder, most of my music in another folder, and two songs in this new folder that itunes just created.   I'm guessing that everytime I play a song itunes will move it to the new folder (Why?)
If you don't use separate Libraries please don't ask me why I am using separate Libraries.    I have a LOT of Beatles music that is more of a historical collection and I need to keep it separate from the Library of albums that I actually listen too.
To me itunes behavior is crazy.   Can some one explain it in a way that will make me slap my forehead and say "of course...it makes so much sense!"?   or is it just as bizzare and random as I think?
Another approach that I considered was just creating a new library and importing all of those songs. But I believe I would lose all of my playlists and I have my beatles collection extensively orginized by playlists.
Help appreciated.

This is an overview of how your library ought to be organized and how you might get it there. I can give specific instructions if you provide more details such as the full locations of the folders you mentioned earlier.
Make a split library portable
Here are the typical layouts for the iTunes folders:
In the layout above, with the media folder (everything in the red box) inside the library folder, the library is considered to be portable. A portable library can be moved from one path to another without breaking the links between the library and the media, and being self-contained is much easier to backup (You do backup, don't you?).
You can rearrange things to make a split library portable by taking a number of small steps which don't break the library.
Before you start any media files that are outside of the media folder will need to be consolidated (File > Library > Organize Library > Consolidate Files). If the library is in the old style layout then it should be upgraded to iTunes Media Organization (File > Library > Organize Library > Rearrange files in the folder <Media Folder>) to ensure that iPod Games, Mobile Applications etc. are brought inside the media folder.
The basic non-fatal manipulations are:
You can connect to an alternate set of library files by holding down Shift (Win) or Option (Mac) when starting iTunes.
You can move the library files to a new location as long as the media stays put.
You can move the library files and the media together if the media folder is a direct subfolder of the library folder.
If you have already moved/copied the media content from a subfolder of the library folder to a different location then you only need to copy the library files for it to appear as if you have moved the entire library in the way allowed above. I.e. just copy the library files into the parent folder of the media folder.
You can rename the media folder to iTunes Media (if it isn't already) if the media folder is inside the library folder.
iTunes (prior to iTunes 11) uses the name of the folder holding the library files as the window title. Having made a library "portable" you may need to take a final step of renaming the library folder to iTunes or, if the library files have ended up at the root of a drive, moving all of the library files and content folders into a new folder called iTunes.
After each change you need to open, test and close the relevant library before attempting another change. If a change broke the library, undo it or revert to using the previous set of library files.
In essence all you need to do to make your library portable is copy the library files into the parent folder of the media folder on the external/secondary drive and use the hold-down-shift/option-when-starting-iTunes method to connect to it. Other manipulations may be required to normalize the library so that the library and media folders have standard names.

Apple does not provide a way to do that, presumably because it would be such an invitation to fraudulent transfers.
But if you have some unique extenuating circumstances, I suppose you could place a request to iTunes Customer Service and see if they will make an exception.

How do I make one window progress to another in swing

Ive got to design a simple quizgame interface using Swing. Its got to have a player's front-end - gives a selection of questions where the user selects one of five answers, a scoring front-end - displayed after game that allows user to enter their name and a manager's front-end - used to enter questions. The thing is I only have to design the interface. I want to have a front window that leads to the managers front end, scoreboard, and game seperatley. I also want the system to report back when the players got the question wrong or right and then take them to a scoreboard. I dont know how to keep this all seperate from the normal code in the program being written by someone else. I also dont know how to make one window lead to another etc. Please can someone help. does anyone have some code I coulkd adapt for this purpose Im really stuck!!!

Have a look at CardLayout. Rather than adding removing components, you can keep your three screens separate. Basically, you have three JPanels only one of which will be displayed at any one time. If one has textfields and you switch to another and then back, the text in the textfields will still be there.

Is it possible to make one icon big and another icon small on my desktop?

Some icons on my desktop get really annoying. I don't want to move them but I still want one of them to be really big. Is there a way that I can keep them all on there only have one icon bigger than another.

I can add a 3rd partition. Would you post a screen shot of it telling you you can only have 2 partitions so people can see what you are seeing? Make sure you cover any personal information using Preview. Post the screen shot in a Reply using the camera icon. Copy and paste doesn't work.

Can I transfer calendar data from one Apple ID to another?

Just realized that my calendars and email were all sharing one Apple ID with my husband which is problematic because I want my own devices syncing up properly. I've set up my own Apple ID, but before I activate it on my devices I want to be sure I don't lose all the data. Can I transfer a calendar from one Apple ID to another and if so, can I do this from the devices themselves or do I need my desktop?
I've read some earlier related posts and they don't seem to answer this question clearly for me.

You will probably need to do this on your Mac; I'm not sure it's possible on an iPhone. You have to deal with one calendar at a time.
Select a calendar listed under your husbands iCloud login name.
From the File menu choose Export...>Export. An .ics file will be saved at your designated destination.
Repeat this for any other calendars.
Sign out in System Preferences>iCloud and sign in with your own ID. Your calendars and other data will disappear from your Mac but not from the server.
From the File menu choose 'New Calendar' then your iCloud login name in the sub menu.
A new calendar called 'Untitled' will appear in your sidebar under your iCloud login name. Change its name to that of the calendar you exported.
From the File menu choose 'Import...' then 'Import...' from the sub-menu. A navigation pane will open: navigate to and choose your exported .ics file.
iCal will ask you where to import this to. Click the drop-down menu and select the iCloud version of your calendar (make sure not to choose the 'On My Mac' version). Import.
Your calendar contents will appear in the iCloud version of the calendar but this may take some time. You need to leave iCal running until the rotating icon at the top of the sidebar disappears.
Repeat 5-9 for other calendars.

How do I copy a page from one Pages document to another using Pages 5.0?

I posted this question on another page, and haven't recieved an answer to it yet. However I have found a temporary solution, so I am posting this here in case anyone else has a similar problem.
The issue here is that I have just upgraded from Snow Leopard to Maverick (10.9.1), and my Pages also upgraded (to 5.0.1), altering my Pages documents. This is the issue, as as far as I can see the new Pages does not offer some of the basic needs that the old Pages did! In other words it is worse than the previous version.
Using the upgraded new Pages 5.0.1 seems to result in some major editing problems for me. If you upgrade, make sure you KEEP the old version of Pages 09 (v 4.3). That is what has saved me! If you have the same problems I have had - explained below, you will still be able to close the new version and open your Pages document in the old version, provided it is not a new Pages document. If it is, it will be possible to export it as a Pages 09 document and edit properly.
After upgrading to the new Pages 5.0.1, when I open documents in Pages and try and copy a section from one document to another (easy before using the thumbnails) many of the Menu items previously available are visible but appear faded and are not possible, including Insert>Section Break/Page Break/Page Number and Edit>Cut/Copy/Delete/Undo/Redo
This even happens if I duplicate the Pages document and try and do any of these from the Duplicate (which should be an easily editable copy).
My solution has been to simply open all Pages documents that Iwant to edit (or may want to edit in future) in the old Pages app (v 4.3), which I never got rid of. That has meant I can continue editing and copying a section (of 1 or more pages) from one Pages document to another.
If anyone reading this has figured out a way to edit Pages documents using the new version 5.0.1 please post an explanation, and I will try it!

Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
Archive/trash Pages 5, after Exporting your files to Pages '09, and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

In LabVIEW6i, is there a way to make particular elements of an array invisible while the others stay visible (without losing any element's info.)?

I have an array of clusters. Each cluster pertains to a certain oscilloscope I am controlling. There is another control which specifies which oscilloscopes I have "on".
If a particular oscilloscope is "on" I want its cluster to be VISIBLE in the array. If a particular oscilloscope is "off" I want its cluster to be INVISIBLE in the array.
How can I implement this in my program without losing ANY of the info. in my array?

I suggest to use two arrays; one for user interface holding the ON clusters,
and one for internal use holding all clusters. The diagram periodically
updates the internal array with user interface array data.
By INVISIBLE do you mean "skipped from the array" or displayed as an empty
placeholder? To hide an OFF cluster you could put in the cluster a flat
button boolean that is small and transparent when ON and large enough to
cover the whole cluster area (and other controls) when OFF.

Implicit read with assembly module instance working on one computer, but not another

Hi,
I'm trying to set up an on-site computer to run a VI which uses assembly instances for data communication, but for some reason I'm unable to establish a connection to the PLC.
I'm running the example vi "CreateAssemblyInstance.vi" to try and get the communication set up before I start using my actual program.
When I run this code on my development machine, I'm able to establish a connection to the PLC and read data. I then go into RSLogix 5000 and change the IP address to the on-site machine and try to run the test VI there, but I'm unable to make a connection. LabVIEW-side, the program thinks that it's established a connection and is reading/writing data, but PLC-side I'm getting a "Connection Failed" message in RSLogix.
I find it weird that LabVIEW thinks the connection was established just fine, which the RSLogix says it can't connect to the VI.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen. We aren't sure why the same VI runs on one machine but not another. We used RSLogix to change the IP address of the target machine, so we don't think that's the issue. And both computers are on the same network, so we don't think it's a firewall issue either.
LabVIEW-side, things should be identical. I'm running the same example VI that came with the Ethernet/IP module. PLC-side, we're changing the target IP of the module within RSLogix 5000 (and we're sending the updated information to the PLC) to match the machine we're trying to make a connection with. Are we missing any steps? This is the first time we've tried using an assembly module, so we're having a hard time troubleshooting.
Any ideas on why this is happening?

I'm pretty sure we're using a generic ethernet module:
I can communicate explicitly with the problem computer, it's able to use 'Tag Read' and 'Tag Write' to communicate with the PLC.
We started having another problem just recently too. The Tag Read and Write commands are almost always timing out. I keep getting the error message -251723752:
Detailed error info: Error -251723752 occurred at EthernetIP Tag Read REAL.vi;Details: The request response was not received in the requested timeout period Possible reason(s): Ethernet/IP Industrial Protocol: (Hex 0xF0FF0018) The request response was not received in the requested timeout period
I can't figure out what's causing this all of a sudden, could these issues be related?
