Making changes for a standard report

Hi all,
can any one tell me how toi make the changes for a standard report as per the client requirment.
This is a report for RFQ price comparision,there is a SAP standard report available with tarnsaction code ME49.But some modificatios are required in the format.
How should I do this.

I checked the transaction ME49 and found that it is based on a executable report called RM06EPS0. Also it is very much possible to make changes to this repor using the enhancement points. I found that already the report provides a lot of enhancement points. Here have a look:-

When changing or deleting one or more lines of the internal table
"\PROGRAM=ZRQEEAL10\DATA=SELECT_FIELDS" or when inserting in the table
   "\PROGRAM=ZRQEEAL10\DATA=SELECT_FIELDS", 0 was used as
the line index. An index less than or equal to zero is not
allowed.
The error can occur when using the following options:
1. "INDEX idx" for specifying the line number in the table
   "\PROGRAM=ZRQEEAL10\DATA=SELECT_FIELDS"
     where you want to change, insert or delete.
2. "FROM idx" for specifying the start index when deleting a line
     area from or inserting a line area into the table
   "\PROGRAM=ZRQEEAL10\DATA=SELECT_FIELDS".
3. "TO idx" for specifying the end index when deleting a line
     area from or inserting a line area into the table
   "\PROGRAM=ZRQEEAL10\DATA=SELECT_FIELDS".
At the time of the termination, the table contained 2 lines.

Changes in SAP Standard report RVKRED01

Hi,
I am adding two fields(VBELN, VENDDAT) from VEDA table to SAP Standard report RVKRED01.
I am not understanding the code in that report...how can i add those 2 fields in that report?

You can do append structure in table VEDA and add your two filds and populate the data in the following user_exit

According to your requirement, you can prepare report through S_PH0_48000513 - Ad Hoc Query , you can get percentage from IT0007 in Ad Hoc query. first decide how many fields you want and then choose in selection criteria and generate the report.

Transaction Variant for a standard report without transaction code

Hi,
I want to create a transaction variant for a executable report. The report has some subscreens 100, 110 etc. I want to hide the subscreen through transaction variant. So I have created a transaction code (Y*) for it and then tried creating transaction variant using SHD0 transaction. But the fields are not listed to choose invisible or other options. Please advice

The fields are listed when you leave each recorded screen. You have the flag "do not display the screen". It's strange you don't have anything, are you sure you started the recording? (you enter the transaction code, the transaction variant, you click the Create button and the screens are displayed and recorded)
Which transaction is it?

How to change the text variables for a standard report-writer report ?

I am trying to change the text variables for a report -writer report and transport the same so as to change the title page and the report output heading .I know the Report-Group 6Z02 and the library 6O1 to which it belongs.I tried using the change transaction GR32 after going to the area menu through FGRP . I try to change the text variables through but it throws an error "You chose a name in the reserved name range - try different name ".
I have also tried copying this report into another report and changing the new report . I was able to change and save the text variables . Now when I try to overwrite the original report 6Z02-001 with this new report , it does not allow that.
Let me know how I can change the text variables for the same

Which registry setting to change for long running reports

Hi, We are on BOXI R2 SP3 on IIS 6.0. We have web servers in DMZ and have ports opened. We have reports running longer than 25 mins in production and business is facing issue as reports are timedout ( Errors ;oke The request timed out because there has been no reply from the server for 600,000 milliseconds .) after 20 mins. We would like to increase this value. I read KB 1324139 but its for Tomcat and we are on IIS 6.0.
I am planning to increase the values of below registry entry and also add command line parameter like "-requesttimeout 3600000 in RAS servers.
Anyone knows if I am overdoing or doing less?

Hello Pandeyji and others,
I was having the same problem, and I referred to your thread for fixing it. I got some different results which I want to share with everyone.
First of all, how is my application different? My application is actually just a jar file which is invoked through command line. There is no web-interface, so there is no app servers/web servers that need to be configured, unlike Pandeyji's configuration.
All you need is a JDK and some dependent jar files such as log4j etc to run my jar. I was getting timeout when I was calling the byteoutputstream method to export my published crystal report into a flat file. I went through a lot of registry settings as illustrated in Pandeyji's summary above, but that did not fix the issue. I kept on getting, timeout after 600,000 milliseconds and I was trying to figure out from where it's reading this value.
Then I installed procmon to see from where it's reading the clientsdkoptions.xml file. Once I found that, I replaced that file with my version of clientsdkoptions.xml file.
Now here's the interesting part - After I replaced it with my version of clientsdkoptions.xml file, I could see in ProcMon that the RAS api was indeed reading my file, but even after I had put in a different timeout of 240,000 it kept on ignoring it, and continued timing out after 600,000 milliseconds. That was crazy...and I couldn't figure out what was happening.
I strongly suspect and believe that a majority of us have had the same results, and so none of us was sure from where it is reading that 600,000 value. Finally, with my java xml background, I kindda suspected that maybe at the time I was editing the clientsdkoptions.xml file (which I obtained from our BOE default installation directory), I probably introduced some special characters, and so kindda distrubed the default encoding of the file, and maybe that's why even though RAS is reading my clientsdkoptions.xml file, it's not using the timeout value from there.
SO.......I recopied the default clientsdkoptions.xml file from our default BOE installation, and this time opened it in notepad, and edited the timeout value there....and voila it worked...I also changed the <server> tag to a different value, say TEST_SERVER, and it still worked. Then I went back and changed all the registry values back to default 600,000 and IT STILL WORKED....meaning, the RAS API picked up my customized timeout from clientsdkoptions.xml file and not from the registry.
I've searched this issue and read it at several forums where I've seen people struggling to fix this timeout or increase it and failing even after doing all the changes..I thought let me post my experience and let everyone know..maybe it's only one change at one place that's required to be done, and not like 10 different changes at 10 different places.
Hopefully, as always, SAP Support will read this and publish a note for us developers to ease this pain. Thanks & please let me know if anyone has any questions.

Problem in making logic for customer balance report

I am working on a customer balance report in which i am picking the data from BSAD and BSID tables. I am facing a problem that i am able to calculate the opening balance in it but not able to calculate closing balance. I am comparing the data with tcode FBL5N for opening and closing balances for a given date range. Kindly help me out where i am getting wrong:-

Thanks for you response but i had developed the report and i am able to pick the correct data but i am facing the problem in displaying the NETAMT which is displaying the data using this formula :-
1.) NETAMT = NETAMT + W_TAB1-DR + W_TAB1-CR.
so that the last value matches with the closing balance.
When i am using this formula i am not able to display the correct data of deducting or addition of the opening balance in it but the value matches with closing balance .
2.) NETAMT = NETAMT + W_OPBAL-OPBAL + W_TAB1-DR + W_TAB1-CR.
When i am using this formula it is showing the first value correctly but not the last one which will be displayed in the closing balance.
I want to have desired output to display the first value to be displayed as it is showing in the (2) and last value to be displayed as it is showing in (1) last value.
How can i achieve this functionality? i really want to know...

Change layout in standard reports

Can anybody tell how to hide the unnecessary coloumns in std. reports. for ex.
S_ALR_87013648 i want to hide the commitment coloumn.

Ususlly these reports are made through a Report writter or by program for a specif purpose.
Go to SE93 and give the transaction there. The click on display.
In the following screen that appears try to identify the program this tocde is triggreing.
If its a reoprt writer one then go to report writer and do modifications by copying it. If you find this as a program then sit with your ABAPer and give your specifications.

Variant setup for SAP standard report SDRRAV01 for dynamic Posting Period

Can someone please help with the process for setting up a variant for program SDRRAV01 so that we can get the Posting Period To ( Screen field PPOPER_H : T009B-POPER ) and Posting Year To (screen field name PGJAHR_H : T009B-BDATJ ) fields populate the values dynamically to current posting period and posting year.

Issues with scheduling job in sm36 for a standard report...

After creating a variant for a program, if I try to execute SM36 -> Define step and then, I select ABAP program, the variant name associated with it. Now what do I need to do to schedule job for that report.
