Making IP Address field in JAVA - error

Hi All,
Can anyone tell me how to make the IP Address field as displayed in windows operating system network settings.
Actually I have made one IP field using JFormattedTextField and MaskFormatter class.
code is given below:
private MaskFormatter getMf2() {
          if (mf2 == null) {
               try {
                    mf2 = new MaskFormatter(" *** . *** . *** . *** ");
                    mf2.setValidCharacters(" 0123456789");
                    } catch (Exception e) {
                    JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, e.toString());
          return mf2;
     jTextField = new JFormattedTextField(getMf2());
Am I doing anything wrong here?
Problem is its not behaving in the way windows operating system IP field behaves?
Actually I am unable to display 3 dots(.) in the field which look like they are with regular space gap in the jformattedtextfield?
In windows OS, dots in the IP address field will remain static, but with my IP field, they are moving when I am adding values into the field? How to solve this problem?
I have given three spaces in the mask formatter initially? so if I click on the first place, I am unable to type at that place? how to rectify this problem?
Please anyone help me to solve this problem and make proper IP field as it looks in windows operating system. If Any code is available in the web, please provide the link here.

I have used monospaced font, now initially dots(.) are appearing in equal gaps in the textfield.
But the problem again is that, when I am typing something, those dots are moving right side to accomodate the entries I have made.
I have set font like this*jTextField.setFont(new Font("Serif",Font.PLAIN,16));*How can I move the character I have typed to the left, instead of dots moving to the right side as done in case of windows IP Address field?
And one more help required is, actually I am giving initially three spaces in MaskFormatter and setting that MaskFormatter to jTextField.
So if I click on initial place in the textfield, cursor was displayed there, but I am unable to type at that place as I have given three spaces in maskformatter class.
So my intention is that, even if I click at the start of textfield entrance, it cursor should be pointed or displayed after three spaces only.
How I can implement this?
Please try to answer these two questions.

  • Making a UI field mandatory and error out on save if no entry made

    Hi Experts,
       I have a requirement to make a UI field mandatory and not allowing the opportunity to save if the field has no entry selected out of a DDLB. I marked the field mandatory in the config page and it displays an error message if it is left unentered but still allows to save , ie even with the error message u can save the opportunity.
      How can I get this to work and not allow save if the field is entered?
    I tried putting a check in the DO_FINISH_INPUT and DO_VALIDATE_INPUT but didnt work........ please help

    Arpita,
    This is a standard program bug with opportunity screen. Fix it by applying SAP Note 1353553 - Opportunity: Behavior of mandatory fields in Web UI

  • Formatting Address Fields into one

    Using Acrobat X PRO:
    I have a multi-page document in which a user is prompted for the address in two different formats:
    1) With the address split into 4 different values/fields:
    Street Field, City Field, State Field, Zip Field
    Example: "1234 Count Rd" (Next Line) "St Louis", "MO"  "55555"
    2) With the address all together:
    Complete Address on one line with a maximum length of 40 Characters.
    Example: 1234 Count Rd, St. Louis, MO 55555
    I would like users to be able to Fill in the Street, City, State, and Zip fields, and no matter what the format of the following fields, have the data autopopulated.
    This isn't a problem for example #1.  However, with #2 if i place all fields close together, I have to guess on how far apart to space each field and still have it fit and format properly.
    Is there any way to combine the values of 4 fields into one value (separated by commas)?
    Making the address field 'auto-fit' may be necessary but it's ugly if there is extra space in the remaining fields.
    PLEASE SEE THIS EXAMPLE document i have created for the purpose of this post

    And if the combined fields are longer than 40 characters?
    With Acrobat 4 there was a sample form that one entered the data in fields like tile, first name, mi, last name, abd degrees  and then created a full name from those individual fields and adjusted for missing data.
    The doucment level script:
    / Concatenate 3 strings with separators where needed
    function fillin(s1, s2, s3, sep) {
    Purpose: concatenate up to 3 strings with an optional separator
    inputs:
    s1: required input string text or empty string
    s2: required input string text or empty string
    s3: required input string text or empty string
    sep: optional separator sting
    returns:
    sResult concatenated string
    // variable to determine how to concatenate the strings
      var test = 0; // all strings null
      var sResult; // re slut string to return
    // force any number string to a character string for input variables
      s1 = s1.toString();
      s2 = s2.toString();
      s3 = s3.toString();
      if(sep.toString() == undefined) sep = ''; // if sep is undefined force to null
    assign a binary value for each string present
    so the computed value of the strings will indicate which strings are present
    when converted to a binary value
      if (s1 != "") test += 1; // string 1 present add binary value: 001
      if (s2 != "") test += 2; // string 2 present add binary value: 010
      if (s3 != "") test += 4; // string 3 present add binary value: 100
      /* return appropriate string combination based on
      calculated test value as a binary value
      switch (test.toString(2)) {
      case "0": // no non-empty strings passed - binary 0
         sResult = "";
      break;
      case "1": // only string 1 present - binary 1
         sResult = s1;
      break;
      case "10": // only string 2 present - binary 10
         sResult = s2;
      break;
      case "11": // string 1 and 2 present - binary 10 + 1
         sResult = s1 + sep + s2;
      break;
      case "100": // only string 3 present - binary 100
         sResult = s3;
      break;
      case "101": // string 1 and 3 - binary 100 + 001
         sResult = s1 + sep + s3;
      break;
      case "110": // string 2 and 3 - binary 100 + 010
         sResult = s2 + sep + s3;
      break;
      case "111": // all 3 strings  - binary 100 + 010 + 001
         sResult = s1 + sep + s2 + sep + s3;
      break;
      default: // any missed combinations
         sResult = "";
      break;
    return sResult;
    And then one could use a custom calculation script for a full address field:
    // Full business address including country
    function doFullBusinessAddress() {
      var ba = this.getField("business.address.full");
      var bc = this.getField("business.address.citystatezip");
      var bu = this.getField("business.address.country");
      event.value = fillin(ba.value, bc.value, bu.value, ", ");
    doFullBusinessAddress();

  • File upload java errors...HEEELPPP!

    All was working fine for months, now getting java errors in my ADDT. Mostly related to file uploads, or image uploads. I found that I don't get these errors in older sites that I've worked with, but I've created a new site and started from scratch and I'm still getting them.
    Here are the errors and what I'm doing:
    *I go insert record form wizard (in ADDT)
    *One field is a date, others are text, one is an integer, one is a file field
    That works ok up to here.
    *Then I choose ADDT > File upload. I get the following error immediately: "While executing canApplyserverBehavior in kb_FileUpload.htm, a javascript error occured."
    *I click ok, the wizard box attempts to load and it give me the error: "While executing onLoad in kb_FileUpload.htm, the following javascript errors occured:
    At line 354 of the file "Macintosh HD:Applications:Adobe Dreamweaver CS3:Configuration:Shared:DeveloperToolbox:classes:triggerUtil.js":
    TypeError: hash[transactionColumn[k]].push is not a fuction.
    I'm totally tearing my hair out, not to mention not hitting deadlines with this... can anyone help. I've tried removing the fileCache, rebuilding the site cache, removing and rebuilding the includes folder, removing and reinstalling ADDT. HEEEEEELLLLLPPP.

    Hi
    Please look into this about the destination
    Pathname of directory in which to upload the file. If not an
    absolute path (starting a with a drive letter and a colon, or a
    forward or backward slash), it is relative to the ColdFusion
    temporary directory, which is returned by the GetTempDirectory
    function.

  • How to make ship to address fields mandatroy while creating sales order

    Dear forum Members,
    My client oraganizes trade shows and hence ship to address vries everytime when sales order is entered for the same sold to party.So one times ship to customer is used in the sales order and address is entered at sales order level. Please note that at master data level all address fields are suppressed for one time customer.Hence there is no question of going back to one time customer account group and making any field mandatory.
    While changing address for ship to at order level, there are few fields which are mandatory, for example city is mandatory. I also want to make zip code and region as mandatory.where is this controlled?Please note that this is not account which controls this. i have already done lot of r&d on account group and transaction variants which are not controlling these fields at sales order level.

    Hi Kanwal,
    Only incompletion procedure will not suffice for your requirement.
    You need to make the field mandatory wherein, if you dont enter, system will not allow you for enterin further fields. For this you should do the following:
    Goto transaction SHD0, you will get a screen where you need to enter you Tcode "VA01"
    Below you define a transaction variant (starting with Z).
    On the next tab you have Screen Variant. Here you enter screen variant name, program name & screen number.
    Then you click on create.
    Its like as if you are doing some kind of recording. Finally you will reach to the screen where there are options available to make the field mandatory.
    For your reference the program is SAPMV45A screen number is 4001.
    Further screen are self explinatory.
    Hope this should solve your requirement

  • Problems with image field and java

    Hi, i´m a beginner user of Adobe LiveCycle Designer, i create a form and i fill the text fields with a Java code, but when i try to dinamically assign a image on the image field of my form it doesn´t work, someone have any idea of whats happening or how can i manipulate the image field from Java code? thanks

    Session data will only last as long as the servlet container allows. In most cases (eg Tomcat) this defaults to about 30 minutes, but can be changed. Check that the session timeout configuration in your servlet container hasn't been set to "never timeout".
    Even if it had, I would have expected OutOfMemory errors rather than degrading performance. Although if the max heap size of the JVM has been set to a level higher than the RAM on the machine you could be getting excess page file usage.
    This probably wouldn't put CPU utilization at 99% though.. I suspect this is a code related problem.
    My best guess is one of two reasons:
    1. Somewhere in your code, or someone elses, there is a loop that never ends.
    2. There is a bug in the servlet container.
    I don't know which servlet container you are using, but I have used Tomcat extensively and never seen this behaviour.
    In terms of solving this problem, that's a tough one. I would try running the entire application within a profiling tool to see which threads are clogging up the processor. The Eclipse java IDE has a plugin called Eclipse Profiler which will allow you to track the utilization of code right down to the method level.
    If it were me, I'd be running the entire web application with a profiler like Eclipse Profiler and waiting for it to start clogging, then see who the guilty code is.

  • Make the address field in delivery address tab as mandatory

    Hi, I want to make the address field in delivery address tab as mandatory for the combination PO type NB and accouting type F. The customer exit EXIT_SAPLMMDA_001 is not getting triggered for this. So could you please help me with this. I am trying to find a BADI.

    I assume you are not in a global working company.
    There are many countries in the world which do not have formal region codes and do not use tax jurisdiction codes.
    So making all the fields mandatory would disturb others that are not even able to fill something.
    I do not really understand the rational behind this, because the address fields are always filled, either from your plant address or (if maintained) from the storage location address, or from address of ship-to party of sales order in case of third-party POs.

    We have an ECC6 system on EHP5, and using Authoring Environment version LSOAE09_0-10006103.
    I'm running the Authoring Environment on a 64-bit Windows 7 PC.
    I've tried to publish/check-in with the following versions of the Java SDK:
    1.4.2 Update 13
    1.4.2 Update 19 (the latest in 1.4.2 with a Windows installer available)
    6 Update 14 (a colleague is using this version successfully with the AE)
    6 Update 23
    Each of those were the 32-bit versions after trying a 64-bit version of one (based on my PC's OS) and getting an unrelated 64-bit error.
    I would appreciate any experience or wisdom any other users here have to share.
    Thanks!

    It was an adjustment we made on our ISA 2006 server. Under
    1. Open Array - Configurarion - General
    2. Select Additional Security Policy - Configure Flood Mitigation
    3. On the Flood Mitigations Tab, there are a number of flood mitigation settings that can be configured.
    The setting we had to adjust is under the "Maximum HTTP requests per minute per IP address (Click on Edit)
    Increase the  "Limit:"  setting. We set it to 1500 which resolved our problem.
    4. Apply the policy and wait for the configuration to be updated on all array members ( may take several minutes)

  • JAVA error when exporting to reporting schema ODDM 4.1

    When attempting to export a design to a reporting schema, we received the following error:

    We downloaded and installed ODDM 4.1 (EA-1) build 4.1.0.866 to resolve an issue with column widths when exporting to the reporting schema (per SR 3-10154440761).  This is the 64 bit version with the included JAVA 1.8 JRE.

    David,
    We migrated this model from data modeler 3.3.  That Model was created from an import from Oracle Designer.  We have not yet tried to import the data model from Oracle Designer directly into v4.1 but are planning to do so shortly.   When we tried to export that design (from v3.3) to the reporting schema, it failed with object too large for column errors.  We wrote SR 3-10154440761 and were advised by Michael Wickham to use v4.1 EA as the column size issue had been resolved in this version.  It was apparent that the export to the reporting schema was making more progress before it failed on the JAVA error.
    We are trying to migrate from Oracle designer to Oracle Data Modeler

  • How to update address fields from a different view?

    Hello Everyone,
    I have created a context node(Model Attribute) of standard address fields using BuilAddress in a view that doesn't have it and successfully displayed them. This is contacts view where the original address of the contact is not available. Now our requirement is to update the standard address if needed from the contacts view itself. How can I do this?  The address fields are available for display only, even if I want to update them using code based on some condtions if not manual entry how can I achieve that?
    Did anyone ever use CRM_BP_UIU_SAVE Badi? I see no posts related to this in forum. Can anyone give me a sample code on what can be done in here and what data of BP is accessible in this BADI and how?
    Thanks,
    Sunil

    Hi Murali,
    Are you sure I can update the address fields using BAPI's from WEBUI? I have tried this already and the BAPI or Function just woudn't call, always return with error message.   I was thinking that BAPI's and Functions for updating just wouldn't work from WEBUI.
    To give you more details, I am in the BP_DATA/AccountContactEF view. I added the context node Address and brought in all the fields from BUILADDRESS structure, it generated the get, set methods for me. I want to update a couple of fields like telephone info, street, city etc. In this view I just redefined Create_Contact method and I tried to update the address using BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE for the contact person and it never works. I also tried BUPA_ADDRESS_REMOVE to delete and add the new address using BUPA_ADDRESS_ADD, but that wouldn't work either.
    So that is why I am exploring the option of using BADI, which I found out is very similar. I was able to access pretty much everything of BP data and Contact data. but there also the functions or Bapi's wont work.
    Let me know if you did anything similar. Also as you mentioned the GET_I method, Context node creation  Wizard generated it for me and I have the field editable, its just that when I save it , it wont save and the old values are read back and populated. Meaning if I have  'NY' for region and I change it to 'CA' , after save 'NY' comes back.
    Thanks for you help.

  • Java error trying to forward logs?

    I'm getting a really strange error when I try to set where my Operations Manager logs direct to. It happens whenever I click on the gears icon for the ANALYTICS, COLLECTOR, WEB, and SUITEAPI folders in Administration > Support > Logs. The error that pops up looks like a Java error log, but in an error dialog box. I've attached a screenshot of it. I can't even get to the form to enter the IP address and port (I want the logs to forward to Log Insight). Does anyone know what might be causing this error and how I can fix it? Thanks!

    Hi,
    This should help you in understanding the problem better.
    The <jsp.forward> tag can be used to cause a client request to be forwarded to an HTML file, another JSP file, or a servlet for processing.
    Whenever the <jsp.forward> tag is encountered by the JSP engine, the engine forwards the request that was sent to the JSP file to another file. The JSP engine doesn't process the remainder of the current JSP file.
    The output buffer
    Anything that has been written into the output buffer by the current JSP file will be lost.
    There are two possible outcomes regarding the output buffer. If the output from the compiled JSP file is buffered, the buffer is cleared before the request is forwarded.
    If the output is not buffered (page directive with buffer=none), and if the buffer is not empty, the use of the <jsp.forward> tag will result in an IllegalStateException being thrown.
    thanks,
    Sriram

  • Validate 2 E-mail address fields in insert record form

    Hello,
    I have used the Insert Record Form Wizard to create a form, including using the Validate Form Server Behavior to validate many fields.
    I can't figure out how to compare & validate 2 E-mail address fields.
    After the form was created I opened the existing Validate Form Server Behavior - Advanced tab and built the condition {sub_email2} != {sub_email} but this had no affect on submitting the form.
    The other thing I tried was creating a new Compare Transaction Field behavior with the same condition {sub_email2} != {sub_email}, this also seemed to have no affect.
    I am just a beginner, so I admit to not really knowing what I'm doing, for me ADDT has been a great aid.
    The other thing I noticed, when I tried both the items above, besides not affecting being able to submit the form with different E-mail addresses. The red asterisks indicating a required field, would disappear.
    Here is the form http://www.oescahealthregistry.org/forms/pedigree_submission.php this version of the form does NOT include either of my attempts to validate the E-mail fields.
    Thanks in advance for your help.
    Dennis

    Hi,
    A compare statement should work fine. As an example I made small form that inserts name and email (2 fields) using Insert record wizard.
    Name field is required, email field is required and checks that its a valid email structure ([email protected]). I then finish the wizard.
    <input type="text" name="email" id="email" value="<?php echo KT_escapeAttribute($row_rsemail['email']); ?>" size="32" />
    <?php echo $tNGs->displayFieldHint("email");?> <?php echo $tNGs->displayFieldError("email", "email"); ?>
    I then add the extra field to the form that the 2nd email will be entered into, this one I called email2, I then copied the display hint and fielderror code from the first email and placed it behind the 2nd email box and changed the text to reflect email2. Which probably doesnt matter but I put it there anyway.
    <input name="email2" type="text" id="email2" size="32" />
    <?php echo $tNGs->displayFieldHint("email2");?> <?php echo $tNGs->displayFieldError("email2", "email2"); ?>
    Now that I have both email fields in the form, I go to the developer tools under server behavior and select compare transactions fields under form validation.
    I hit the + to add a field I then choose email for field, then == for condition, then {POST.email2} for compare to. I enter in an error message and hit ok.
    Thats it the form is ready.
    The first email field will check against email validation and the 2nd email will check against the first email.
    I hope that helps.
    Take note that the database actually only has 2 fields to enter data. Then 2nd email field is only for validation.

  • Shifts of Address field data

    Somewhere along the line in Synching .mac information all of my Address program file's ZIP Codes were duplicated and written into the State box, the State data was moved to the City field, and the City data was moved into the Street field preceeded by a carriage return. Is there any way to fix all this short of 750 x 4 "Copy" and "Paste" maneuvers?

    THIS SCRIPT HAS NOT BEEN TESTED. Make a backup of your AB data before trying it. It may fix your problem. It assumes that the bad data is in the first address for each person card, and that all person cards need adjusting.

  • Address Field questions

    We have a requrirement that is requesting we make the Lead "Billing Zip" required on any new leads entered, As the Billing Zip field is grouped into "Address", I cannot seem to get any of the Default validation or Field Validation rules I put into place to work.
    Zip code is the identifier we use to auto-assign leads in CRM.
    The issue is that if a user does not enter a zip code, the lead gets auto assigned to the default lead person listed under lead assignment rule group "Unassigned Lead Owner", and that user is getting swampped with leads where no zip code was provided.
    Are the Address fields considered "System" Fields?
    I am aware that system fields do not allow field validation, but in address, those validation options are not greyed out, suggesting I should be able to put field validation rules on them.
    I tried [<ZipCode>] IS NOT NULL
    [<ZipCode>] <> ''
    I also tried creating a new "Lead Zip Code" field where we can force the user to populate the new field, and then put a Post Default Validation Rule on the billing address field that says [<ZipCode>] = [<stLead_Zip_Code>]. That does not auto-populate the Billing Zip field upon save either.
    Any Suggestions, and/or can anyone confirm if the address fields are considered "System"...hence these attempts are a mood point?

    Hi, I tried putting the post default in place by first making the new "Lead Zip Code" field required, and also have a validation rule set on the new field where "[<stLead_Zip_Code_ITAG>] IS NOT NULL"
    I then went into the "Addrerss" field and added the post default = "[<ZipCode>] = [<stLead_Zip_Code_ITAG>]" Logged out, back in, and created a new lead. That did not work. The "Billing Zip" field is still blank when I create and save a new Lead.
    Am i not using the correct criteria in my post default criteria?
    We are currently a single country configuration, so that should not be an issue.
