Making the expenses billable to the customers

Trabaje antes en Quick Book, cunado quiero recordar los gastos como el del viaje (Business Trip) tenemos la opcion de marquar esos gastos como elementos que podemos anadir en la factura que vamos a mandar a ellos,
Mi problema es que no puedo encontrar esta opcion en el SAP Buiness one,
Voy a explixcar tambien in ingles es que mi espanol no es tan bueno
The problem is as the following: In fact in Quickbook, we have once we want to record the bill , we can record the operation at the same time we can choose which clients will support those an expenses, so we can mark the clients, this means once we wants to create an invoice for the clients, a small window pop up and remind us that there are some billable expenses we should add to trhe invoice.
I could't find this option in SAP please if anyone can help me, that would be great

Mac's have a learning curve, not steep but definately there, the nuances of the OS are easily learnable just takes a little time. I am a professional photographer and switched to macs 2 years ago, no regrets. Buy Applecare, it's the best deal since sliced bread..I also keep my PC (Prostar) updated and ready to use as back-up...L

    I have one scenario in which i have to make one payment for the  expenses directly and the expenses belong to 2 different Profit center and document splitting is activated at profit center level.
    Example

    System is not splitting the Bank according to Traveling Exp.

    3 Document Type is SA (Business Transaction is 0000 - Unspecified posting)
    4 I also tried with KZ but it is now working.

    Balancing field "Profit Center" in line item 003 not filled
    Client is not accepting for Making 2 different payment document.

    As per your suggestion i have crated
    1.Define Business Transaction Variants :- Copy Transaction 0000 & Create new variant Z001 and copy all Category in which Expenses and Balance Sheet is also present.
    2.Define Document Splitting Rule : -Created new Rule -- Maintained
    Splitting Method - 0000000012
    Business Transaction  : 0000
    Transaction Variant : Z002
    Item category : 20000 (Expense)
    Base item categories : 01000 (Balance Sheet Account)
    3.Classify Document Types for Document Splitting :-
    Document Type SA
    Transaction  : 0000
    Varient  : Z001
    And run the same posting but the error is same
    System is not splitting the bank amount according to Expenses.
    i.g  item category to be split based on Base item category.

  • How to copy line items from one expense report to the next

    I travel to the same project/destination every week so in PR05, I was able to just copy the previous expense report for the new week and edit the expense values. Now, when I book travel, the air line booking starts a new expense report entry.
    Is there a way to copy the employee-paid expenses to the GetThere-generated trip entry expense report, i.e. just copy the line items from one expense report to another that already exists. I guess that would be a merge function.

    Here are two alternative solutions:
    Alternative 1:
    If you copy the expense report before you book the services (flight, hotel …)
    in GetThere, then the airline or hotel bookings will not start a new expense
    report but will be assigned to the copied expense report.
    Alternative 2:
    This alternative is a bit laborious.
    Shift the start date and end date of the expense
    report  that was automatically created by
    your flight booking for next week (e.g. Calendar Week (CW)  47) to the week after next week (e.g. CW 48).
    Copy the expense report of the previous week (e.g.
    46)
    Afterwards open the expense report that you
    moved to CW 48 and click on the tab strip itinerary
    Now assign the bookings (flight, hotel …) to the
    expense report of CW 47 by clicking on the button assign to existing trip
    Later delete the expense report in CW 48
    Get back to me if you have any questions concerning the alternatives outlined
    above.

    These solution alternatives are only available for customes using HTML5 UIs.

    I am stucked in finding the Work in progress for my project.
    I am consuming the raw materials , semi finished goods and external services.
    whenever i will comsume the material or take the external services, all gets booked to P&L GLs (Comsumption account)
    for eg.
    for Project 1
    Raw material consumption                          :  $ 1000
    Semi finished goods consumption in project :  $ 2000
    External Service procured                           :  $ 4000
    planned revenue : $ 10000
    at the end of the month i have expend a total of $ 7000 .
    for Project 2
    Raw material consumption                          :  $ 1000
    Semi finished goods consumption in project :  $ 2000
    External Service procured                           :  $ 4000
    there is no planned revenue. i may get the revenue later.
    at the end of the month i have expend a total of $ 7000 .
    but there is no revenue planned at this stage.
    i have to do the same in system
    i want to know the procedure how will carry out this conversion.

    Hello,
    If I have understood your requirement correctly, you need to capitalize the expenses incurred on the project as long as there is no planned revenue.
    To do this, you can customize your RA valuation method. You do this in OKG3. If you give more information, specific response can be given.

  • Cannot capture the expense claim

    This is application-specific interface and this mechanism works well in my previous in other application server.
    I checked the SAP document and found if you using RMI-IIOP, you need to get the client package for your deployed EJBs and put in the path accessible by the WEB components. Based on this suggestion, I put the EJB jar file together with WEB application (Sure the EJB application still deployed in other host and JNDI point to that host. I remembered one book mentioned that if you don't want generate the client package from EJB containter, you can do it this way. For me, I just haven't found the way to get the client package with Administrator Tool it said.), It works!!!. I checked the remote object generated by home object, it is different with EJB jar file there or not. But in the document SAP said that only if you use RMI-IIOP you need do this way, for RMI-P4, you don't need that. Anyway, it seems that RMI-P4 use same way as RMI-IIOP(You only don't need narrow the home object after lookup).
    I'll try to find how to get EJB client package from WAS server. For this is my first time to use SAP WAS Server, things a little strange.

  • Downloading and reading the Expense Database to my Vista computer

    I have been entering espenses on my TE2 Palm for about 3 years. I had a EX computer that read it OK. That computer died along with all of my info! I am attempting to redo 2007 taxes and am unsuccessful in downloading the expense files from the Palm. Any ideas?

    Is your Vista version 64bit? If it is, you will need to use bluetooth hotsync. There are no USB drivers for Vista64.

  • Defaulting the Service Provider for the receipts pulled from credit card

    Hi,
    When the Associate goes on a business trip , some of the expenses are processed through the AMEX corporate credit card. Using a custom PRCC , these credit card transactions are uploaded into the system and are available as buffer during the trip creation. Associates creates the trip using ESS Portal. When the Associate selects the expense from the credit card buffer , we want the Service Provider to be defaulted to AX (AMEX). The service provider code for AMEX is configured as AX.
    In the following configuration (Travel Expenses->Master Data->Credit Card Clearing->Define Assignment Table for Credit Card Clearing , we updated the Service Provider as AX for all the expense types related to AMEX.
    Now we notice that AX is not defaulted in the Service Provider when the Associates pulls the expense from the AMEX credit card buffer.
    Is there a way to default the service provider for all the expenses pulled from the credit card buffer?

    Hi Nandagopal,
    You are right that the origin column has Amex logo when selected from the Buffer. We are using Service provider in determining who the payment should go to. If the expense is from the credit card buffer , the payment should go to AMEX directly. If the expense is non-AMEX (i.e manual entry and not from buffer) , then the payment will go to the employee themselves. Different wage types are determined based on the Service Provider for the same expense type. For example for expense type ACAR (Rental) , if the Service Provider is AX , then wage type say WJ67 is selected by the system . For expense type ACAR and no Service provider , then wage type WJ17 is derived. The accounting is determined based on the wage type.
    So Service Provider is one of the key field that determines the accounting. When the associate selects from credit card buffer , the associate should also select the service provider as AX so that payment goes to AMEX. If the Associate forgets to select the service provider , then the payment goes to the Employee. Then the employee has to pay AMEX separately. In order to avoid this, we want to default the service provider as AX when the associate pulls from the credit card buffer.
    We maintained the default service provider as AX for AMEX credit card clearing in img node Travel Expenses->Master Data->Credit Card Clearing->Define Assignment Table for Credit Card clearing. In this node we link the credit card company transaction keys to SAP expense type and you have the option to select the Service Provider. But his default is not working in Portal.
    Please let me know if this default setting should work.

  • The best expense app for the best phone?

    Hi guys,
    I still haven't gotten an iPhone because I use Palm and I can't be without PocketQuicken (Not a palm app, rather a 3rd. party app) it takes care of all of my expenses on the road and then syncs them with Quicken on my Mac, I get to know in real time anywhere how much money I have or how much credit I still have on a credit card, it can also keep my monthly budget. It's ideal for traveling business men or for people who like to know where there money is or has gone to.
    Please Apple, invite the people at http://www.landware.com/pocketquicken/ to make an internal app for the iPhone, so that the best phone would have the best expense program out there. Thus giving something very useful to the iphone users. It's the only thing stopping me from getting an iPhone. I have many, believe me! many 3rd. party apps in my Treo, but the only one that I can't live without is this one. Please consider it. Thanks!

    Something that I left out is that it can also be a standalone app no need to have quicken in the Mac, it can fully do the expenses and much more on it's own. And the best part is that it wouldn't interfere with any of the phone's features, like WiFi or anything like that so no harm would come from making it an internal app.

    As I read these various posts I see that blackberry users are innovative, demanding, creative, particular but effective smartphone users.  However sometimes our frustration manifests in the typical comments such as:
    Come on blackberry how the eff could you not include in the z10 "mypin" auto generation in sms.  How the $hit do you think I invite most of my bbm contacts, not as many people are using blackberries you know so the email invite (yes it generates in email mode so you can simply copy and paste) is not as efficient any more.  There i am done ranting
    What if we knew blackberry's attentions were focused in this support forum, and through it they could make sure their updates meet the needs of  their users? If bb'ers begin posting ideas within categories that would effectively cover all aspects from application/ interface adjustments to developments blackberry devices could effectively grow with the user.  It is a beautifully reciprocal experience as companies/individuals will have free market research and power of change. 
    Companies and developers can simply calculate if they have a positive return on their investment of time, cost, resourcess and efforts.  Whether it be a company who is  interested in direct billing, a contract or advertising OR a customer is interested in attempting to impact a change.  Both sides have a vested interest. People could see how many others potentially like their new ideas whether in be in the realm of functionality or applications.  I have been told (and have read a bit)  Linux systems are an awesome example of how ideas mixed with creativity, critique, feedback and passion drive the force that is innovation, which is amazing. 
    We have the opportunity to create what could include even more people now.  As mobile technology  spans the globe and should call for impeccable security, who better to afford you and your ideas both the collaberation potential with the luxury and security of the safest network in the business.  Since the phone is complete as a unit superficially; shape and weight are perfect for  a phone, 3.5 small buttons on the whold device, and perfect size screen for communication and visual needs, (also read my post on external battery charger.....bravo blackberry),there would only be a need for minor external and relative internal improvements as technology requires adaptation.  Thus the only thing to really continue to work on is the interface and user experience. 
    It is a work of balance and interdependence as both consumer/creator roles are shared by all parties within the company/owner and the open market.  The customer experiences the ability for impact on their own environment and efficiency/comfort withn that through application and function improvements, and blackberry gets happy loyal customers and supporters. 
    If we knew could post ideas with the help of blackberry of course (online tallies ballot system etc) to provide numbers or structure or to help guide the process of evolution in regards to this aspect of our lives (obviously they cannot make every change in the same amount of time as they would have to balance attending to ideas with great support to addressing ones with fewer numbers but specific ideas.  Also the factor of people who like the option as it is or would support change would have to be taken into consideration. ) than I am certain our dispositions would change when we encounter an obstacle because we know there is option for remedy.
    For example with a great enough support for lets say to change a function of operation, there is also the possibility that the idea would simply inspire blackberry to offer it in various modes like ringtones notification or options within program settings are. I am sure as a group of intelligent users we could contribute to the establishment of a ratio for attending to the necessary factors involved.  How does it work with linux systems?
    We would have to be patient of course as this would take time to gain the momentum it would require to have turnaround be speedy when it occurs.  It could happen, remember happy people are patient people.  Show us you hear us, make some of the changes that we see and address over and over in this post and it is inevitable you will see an increase in users and ideas which will only keep the progress in motion. 
    Eventually every idea reaches a point where you decide if there is enough reason to continue to develop, practise, or refine it. If not you simply move on to your next idea. Blackberry If you allow people to share ideas on an item that is so vastly involved in our daily lives how could you not continue to receive support.
    If not this (as this is simply ones persons idea ) , then please blackberry, establish something that shows you hear and acknowledge us because you have a dedicated group of  driven and precis users who simply want their blackberry to work because they see its true potential and it has the ability to surpasses all other mobile experiences  in terms of convenience and output as it once did. Some of your users are also financial supporters who believe enough in what you have the potential to create they invest their own hard earned money.  I am both and I am certain others are in the same situation. I have never been so frustrated and so happy with the same item than I have at different points throughout my years with blackberry.  The customer support or lack of voice has been my biggest concern. We scrutinize your products daily, we have some of the best feedback for you, but without a reception they will only turn into complaints or rants.
    Offer the capacity for impact at a level no one else has to this point in the game has. As you prepare to launch to one of the biggest user markets  in the world see that there is the potential to also create one of the largest communities of innovation in the world. 
    Smartphone users collectively creating a device that would be both seamless and secure anywherre it went on the globe  Owning the software and the hardware affords you this ability to offer us some input to some level. The ability to adjust to your users constantly changing environment is what every business owner should strive for.   Listen to your customers before they end up in the rant section of their forum.  Please continue to let blackberry know we would like to have our feedback heard.

  • AT&T customers service reps. (Phone) and in the store not on the same page!

    On 6/27/15, I called into the 1(800) number to order a new phone and change my plan to the "Next" plan.  I went through whole process with the rep over the phone.  I asked if I could pick up the phone from the AT&T store in my area.  She told me I would have to go into the store and got through the process there.  She stated, I would only have to pay the taxes (around $42) on the phone and pick what installment plan I wanted.  Well I went into the store and spoke with a sales rep. picked the phone I wanted and proceeded with the process.  First I was told I had to pay my bill which was not an issue $127  the rep double charged my card. In which a manager had to fix.  Then I was told I had to pay $200  for downpayment to be on the Next plan.  When questioned was told oh we do this for customers getting an additional line, t(the rep I spoke to that morning said paid the taxes for the phone) so I paid the $200.  On 7/9/15 upon paying my bill I happened to look at the details of my account.  I notice the charge of $201 on 6/27/15 but my bank account reflected the amount of $242. from AT&T.  So I called customer service and spoke with a rep by the name of Robert.  Robert explained the confusion then, stated I did not have to pay the $201 for the Next plan.  I asked if I could have the $201 moved towards my bill, he stated yes it would not be an issue.  When he tried to make the adjustment he was unable to and informed me that I would have go into the store.  He also verified with his supervisor of the issue. He said he would have all the info needed documented on my account.  Later that day I went on the AT&T site to remove the mobile TV app and was unable do. So I got on the chat live contacted a rep Arvin, who helped me with issue.  Then I asked him the same question in reference the Next plan.  He confirmed with a supervisor that indeed I did not have to pay downpayment, just the tax.  He also put in notes on my account and said go into the store.  I arrive to the store (Snellville, GA) and was approached by Pamela.  I told her the issue and she proceed to tell me, that AT&T runs credit checks for additional lines. Which when I transferred to AT&T they ran a credit check.  But for an additional line and switch to another plan. I told her what the other 4 reps which includes the original rep that I started the initial order on the morning of 6/27 told me.  Pamela stated that they were wrong and did not know what they were talking about and they don't deal with customers as the store does. And she would look at my account and see.  I told her I have the print out of the chat from Arvin.  After she read the notes she proceeded to tell me I was wrong and the other reps were wrong and then she called the 800 number spoke with a customer service and the rep she spoke with told her "NO" they don't do that and I was correct in what I was saying about my the issue.  Pamela told her, she was incorrect and that she need to go read the regulations and gave her reg to look up.  During this time my mom was with me and she informed me a family friend was supervisor for AT&T Corporate office and to call her.  In which we did and she stated the same of course Pamela said we wrong and was nice nasty in reference to it as in being a know it all that she just couldn't be wrong.  My issue wasn't resolved and I felt like AT&T took my money and called myself and the 5 employees that worked there liars.  For a company that has been on the news for overcharging their customers you would think that your company would have better customer service and all on the same page.  And if the majority and a Supervisor were agreeing and saying that same thing. Pamela should have did the change on the account and not have a customer your company says it values to leave the store feeling the way I did.  Meaning knowing that I was upset and that I was told the same thing by 5 employees of your company, Pamela should have tried to compensate me or made sure that I wouldn't have any thoughts of going to another phone company.  I was made to feel like I was lied to.  It's bad enough when you walk into the stores the reps are on you like vultures.  And you feel overwhelmed and like you're at car lot.  And the reps are wheeling and dealing for their commission.  Now I'm concerned if I chose the right company???

    I didn't even do the survey and the reps in the store said it had to be done over the phone I just never called back I had already taken time to drive to the store I wasn't about to waste more time dealing with an upgrade over the phone I just figured doing an upgrade over the phone would be the same as doing it in the store I don't understand what the difference is

    I have a user on an iMac 10.6 connected to our domain.  She uses Outlook web access for email on our exchange server.  Last week she received the following message which is randomly preventing her from sending emails.  She claims no attachment was involved in the original email when this all started.  I have not been able to look at her account as she is out of the office but maybe someone else dealt with this issue.  I realize this may not be Mac related but thought I'd give it a try.  She did say it occurred once over two days while working on a PC but it continued over the past weekend.
    If an internal user tries to send a message with infected attachment using Outlook Web Access, it may report the following error message: The action could not be completed because of a conflict with the original item. The conflict may have occurred when an existing item was updated on another computer or device. Open the item again and try making your changes. If the problem continues, contact technical support for your organization.
    This is because F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange has detected a virus in the attachment. If the user tries to send the message again, the message will be sent but without the attachment. At the same time a blank message with an attachment named "Attachment_information.txt" will remain in the user's Drafts folder. The "Attachment_information.txt" will contain information about the virus detected in the message.

    PS - have found other posts indicating that clips smaller than 2s or sometimes 5s, or "short files" can cause this. Modern style editing often uses short takes ! Good grief I cannot believe Apple. Well I deleted a half a dozen short sections and can export, but now of course the video is a ruined piiece of junk and I need to re-do the whole thing, the sound etc. which is basically taking as much time as the original.     I encountered an error in the Payment Wizard screen as I was creating an Outgoing Payment for petty cash expenses. On the “Recommendation Report” screen, I clicked “Non-Included Trans.” and saw that one of the vendors (Vendor Code: WILCO) has the following error:
    “The document amount is greater than the max. amount allowed in the payment methods linked to the BP”
    Upon checking, the “PCF-W” Payment Method linked to WILCO does not have any restrictions, nor does WILCO have any credit/commitment limit set. I have also appropriately defined the Dummy Business Partner Bank (under Payment Terms) as well as checked the “Included” box for PCF-W on the Payment Run-Payment Methods screen.
    Could anyone please help me on this?

    PS - have found other posts indicating that clips smaller than 2s or sometimes 5s, or "short files" can cause this. Modern style editing often uses short takes ! Good grief I cannot believe Apple. Well I deleted a half a dozen short sections and can export, but now of course the video is a ruined piiece of junk and I need to re-do the whole thing, the sound etc. which is basically taking as much time as the original.   • Making A Row Of Thumbnails The Same Size As The Screen Monitor No Matter What Montior You Use

    I am making a website and am trying to get the row of thumbnails/cells (which contain 5 thumbnails across each set in a cell) to be the same length as the screen monitor so that you do not have to scroll horizontally across to see more cells/thumbnails in the table.
    Here is the thing.  When I first started making tables, I was making actual pixels to fit MY screen size, but then I found when I looked at the website on another computer the tables came out different sizes (because of different size monitors I assume).  So, I changed the tables from pixels to 100% and that seemed to do the trick.  Whatever computer I pulled the website up on, the tables extend perfectly across the monitor screen to its fullest extent and without having to scroll horizontally.
    The next part of the website involved adding thumbnails of images.  So I made a table 6 rows across by 5 columns down.  And I put a thumbnail in each cell, so that 5 thumbnails went across the row.  I also set the table width to 100% just like I previously did for my heading table.  When I tested it on a laptop computer it seemed perfectly fine and the 5 cells in the row extended across exactly to the length of the monitor.  But, then when I opened it up on a desktop computer, I had a problem.  What you see is 4 of the columns on the monitor and then the fifth column is further to the right off the screen, which makes you have to move a horizontal scroll bar to see the fifth column.  This table is also not flush with the heading table either obviously, although I have both set to 100%.
    I don't know if my problem has to do with the table I made or the image sizes in Photoshop.  In photoshop after I had scanned the image I went to "Image Size" and reduced the "document size" width to 1.5 cm to make the image come out a lot smaller.  Should I be doing something different in Photoshop when changing the "Image Size"? Maybe saving it as a different measurement (choices are percent, inches, cm, mm, points, picas, columns)?  Or, do I need to change something with my table/cells?
    Anyone know?

    If I have to accept the fact that this table I made can't fit each person's monitor screen, then ok, but at least have it to where all the tables are flush with each other.  If you take a look at the website URL I posted, every table I made for this page is set to 100%.   No matter what computer I pull up the webpage, the heading tables and bottom copyright table come out to 100% of the screen size like it should.  It is the tables I have for the pictures that extend pass this and make a horizontal scroll bar necessary and are thus not flush with the other tables.  And,I figured out why.  When I resized my images in Photoshop, I set the width of each thumbnail to 177 px.  I also have 30 px padding on both the left and the right side of each cell (60 px total).  So, calculating this we have: (177 px x 5 images across = 885 px) + (60 px padding x 5 cells across = 300 px) = 1185 px....an EXACT amount (which is MORE than my screen width) and OVERRIDES the 100% I set for the table.  Therein lies the problem.
    So, what I need to figure out is how to make either the cells or images adjust accordingly to fit the actual width of the monitor; 5 cells across = 20% each cell = 100% grand total across.
    Follow me so far?
    I know there has to be a way.  I've seen other pages that can do it.  I will keep trying and eventually figure it out.

    I once had a phone call in the middle of a trip. I was listening to my music and phone rang. It was work calling. I answered the phone and the music continued to play. I had to tell the person to hold, then i had to use multitask to find the app and manually turn it off. Once that was done, i retrurned to the phone call to find out that when i receive an email it too plays through the speaker while i am on the phone. Why wouldn't it mute these things while i am making a phone call? Is there a setting for this? It seems to me that this only happened since IOS 5, but i can't be 100%. What i am 100% on is the fact that it happened on my Iphone 4 and is now happening on my Iphone 4s.

    If so, when a call is received while listening to music with the iPod, when the call is answered the music should be paused. When ending the call, the music starts playing again from where is was paused.
    There is no automatic mute with notifications for received email or messages while on a call and there is no setting for this.
