Malware imposible de remover, ya intenté todo! Ayuda.

Hola a todos hace unas semanas que se me habren ventanas de publicidade como esta:
http://websitesla.mobilewap.com/sp/cs_videverde.htm
Sigo teniendo publicidades emergentes.
Que saben respecto al tema! Ayuda!
Muchas gracias.

Hola!

  • I was recently attacked by registry dr and conduit malware. Malware has been removed, but since then thunderbird is slow and doesn't respond. How do I fix it?

I was attached by registry doctor and several conduit malware programs. I had the malware removed from my computer. But ever since them thunderbird has been very slow or not resonding at all. l have uninstalled and reinstalled thunderbird twice. The first time it seemed like it fixed the problem for a few minutes, but then it stopped respondig.
I have tried opening in safe mode, and the first time it seemed like it worked better, but before long it stopped responding.
Any idea what the problem is and what to do about it?

See if any of this helps. My guess is that it is your McAfee.

  • Do I need to run a malware scan after removing uTorrent?

I know this is a dumb question, but I don't know of any malware scan sites for Mac that I trust. I'm using Mavericks and my OS is up-to-date. Do I need to run a malware scan after uninstalling uTorrent? If so, where would I get one I can trust?
Here is my scenario - On a recommendation (which I no longer trust) I installed uTorrent, as I wanted to download a file that was only available in torrent form. (This file is a legally available file, so I would not be violating copyright.)
What made me worry was the when I downloaded uTorrent, it installed without asking me to enter my admin password. This raised a red flag for me. So I immediately uninstalled uTorrent, by moving the Application to trash.
So, now that I have it uninstalled, is there a danger it may have left unwanted files on my Mac?
I don't see any evidence of unwanted files. Just wondering. Am I worrying for nothing?

    darrenfromoakland wrote:

There aren't any. It is not possible to scan one's computer from a web-site, they are all scams. All or most of the Windows sites are, as well.
when I downloaded uTorrent, it installed without asking me to enter my admin password. This raised a red flag for me. So I immediately uninstalled uTorrent, by moving the Application to trash.

Many applications can be installed without the need for an admin password since they don't need to install files in any common or system locations. As long as everything goes into the Applications folder and your user folder, you should never need admin permissions.
uTorrent itself is a perfectly legit application that can be used for illegal activities, like all BitTorrent apps. I'm sure it comes with an Apple developer ID signature and under normal circumstances should not be able to harm your OS X or it's applications. But to some extent it depends on where you obtained the app itself. Any app you obtain from AppStore, a legit developer site or MacUpdate should be just fine. If you got it from C|Net's download.com or Softonic then it may have come with an installer that will also install annoying adware. It would have notified you that it was being installed (and again, no admin password is required), but a large majority of users never read those dialogs and blindly click through them to get their app installed and in use as soon as possible. If you think the latter is a possibility, then the Adware Removal Guide that Carolyn tipped you to has a Adware Removal Tool that should make quick work of anything like that.

What software would you recommend for malware scanning and removal.
Actually, a spam website disabled my IP number until I get rid of the virus.

The latter is a scam. Your computer is not disabled in any way. Your browser has simply been directed to a malicious web page that shows a pop-up claiming that you have a virus, and telling you to call a phone number to fix it. Did you call that phone number?
Whatever is going on with Mail (I'm unclear on exactly what that is) is a separate issue. You'll need to post additional details about that. Exactly what behavior are you seeing from Mail?

  • How do I check for Malware? I have a 4giga IMac and she is using 3.9 only running Safari.

I have IMac OSX 10.9.4, 4GB,Processor 3.06 with Intell2Duo. I would like to check for Malware. I run a TechTool Pro 6 every month and that comes up great.
When check how much memory I am using, with only Safari open I am using 3.9 and more of her 4.0 memory. She is very. very slow in processing. I had 4000
trash to clean out and it took her over an hour to expel. Also for some reason Safari will not allow me to click on a link, in my G-mail, and let it go to the page.
It has a sign saying a pop-up blocker is on and will not let me do it. I must open the stamp to look at my e-mails and if I have redirected link now I can do it.
I have not changed my preferences so where is this pop-up blocker?
I have looked at preferences on Safari and Google, which I do not understand Google, and do not see where this blocker could be.
Malware is something I want to make sure is not on my computer. Tech Tool Pro 6 is all I know of and it does not detect Malware.
    Help.
    Ceil

    Your not running windows.
Apple provides malware detection and removal as part of Mac OS X.  A lot of the mac os x supposedly malware detection tools are malware themselves.
When check how much memory I am using, with only Safari open I am using 3.9 and more of her 4.0 memory.
Mac OS X uses all the memory it can to improve performance.  I'm not familiar with Mavericks to know if this is a problem or not.
She is very. very slow in processing
This is a problem. Doesn't mean you have malware.  You could have installed some app with a bug,  etc.
    1) You want to look in
    /Applications/Utilities/activity monitor
& see what the problem apps are.
    2) Run etrecheck.  Post results here. The author of this tool partipates in ASC.

  • Intune not reporting details of malware detection

    Hi all,
My intune has flagged one of my clients with Malware.
However it appears not to be showing the details of the Malware. (Filename & location), or giving me any options to deal with it.
It tells me the name of the Malware but nothing else. [about as much use as a chocolate teapot]
So given this how do I..::
identify the filename and location (folder) of the offending item/file.
permit/approve/allow/authorize (or whatever you want to call it) to override the false detection of systems administration tools as Malware.
    Initiate removal/delete/quarantine process..
(All I seem to be able to do is initiate a full scan which just reports that I have this Malware)
    Many thanks
    David (Nobby) Barnes

    Hi David,
You'll need to remediate the malware on the local machine and/or setup local exceptions.   However you can setup a few Anti-Malware policy settings under the policy workaround to prevent certain locations/file types from being scanned.  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-US/library/jj676574.aspx
A full scan after infection is recommended as it will typically remove/clean any malware off the machine that is found.
    Thanks.

  • IS THERE ANY MALWARE SOFTWARE FOR MAC

I am hoping someone can help me with this I am searching for malware detection and removal software for my MakBook Pro.  I am about ready to throw it threw a window and use my windows desktop (which is what I am using to ask this question).  When using my MacBook I am CONSTANTLY having problems with different malware software popups and other popups that I never used to see.  I am seriously getting ready to smash this MacBook to pieces.
    PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

Click here and follow the instructions, or if there’s a type of adware not covered by them on the computer, these ones. If you're willing to use a tool to remove it(you don't need to, but may find it easier), you can instead run Adware Medic; this link is a direct download.

  • Can't get rid of virus/malware/infection

I have a virus/malware/infection that Office Max hasn't been able to get rid of and I purchased McAfee 2012 Antivirus Plus and even contacted McAfee for help.  they want more money and I have already spent $173 and can't spend anymore.
I have all the programs needed for reloading the harddrive.  I purchased all the programs a few years ago.
I have an HP Pavillion V5000 laptop.  I need to know how to reformat the harddrive and will this get rid of the infections??
    thank you,
    Gregory

     Hi,
These files would appear to relate to a Malware infection - the reason the specific DLLs cannot be loaded may well be because your existing security software has already removed them.
    Try the following.
On another PC, follow the procedure on the link below to create a bootable CD which you can use to scan your computer and hopefully remove the Malware.
    http://connect.microsoft.com/systemsweeper
When this has completed, boot into Windows, then download and install the free versions of MBAM and SUPERAntiSpyware on the links below.
    MBAM
    SUPERAntiSpyware
When installed, run full scans with both these utilities - if any malware is detected, remove/quarantine it and run the scan again until both applications come back clean.
If the above doesn't help, post back with the following.
    1.  The full Model No. and Product No. of the notebook ( from the service tag underneath your notebook ) - see Here for a further explanation.
    2.  The full version of the operating system you are using ( ie Windows 7 32bit ).

  • I think I have a virus called Mac Protector? I do I remove it?

How do you remove the Virus Mac Protector?

    Trojan War
If you discover a trojan program is running on your computer then look to the following information for assistance:
    1. A recent discussion on the Apple Support Communities: MacDefender Trojan.
    2. An excellent site devoted to Mac Malware: Macintosh Virus Guide
Removing strange software can be a task.  The following outlines various ways of uninstalling software:
    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash.  Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder.  Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space.  If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application.  In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder.  You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder.  You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder.  Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a Startup item or a Log In item.  Startup items are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder.  Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences.  Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab.  Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the Delete [-] button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS.  Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term.  Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default.  You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, Easy Find, instead.  Download Easy Find at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder.  Usually with the same name as the program or the developer.  The item generally has a ".pkg" extension.  Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications.  Note that you must have this software installed before you install software you may need to uninstall.  Uninstallers won't work if you install them after the fact.  Here is a selection:
    AppZapper
    Automaton
    Hazel
    CleanApp
    Yank
    SuperPop
    Uninstaller
    Spring Cleaning
Look for them and others at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
For more information visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQs on removing software and dealing with spyware and malware.
After removing all the components of the software you may have to restart the computer to fully disable the software.  This will be the case when removing software that has installed a daemon.  After the daemon has been removed you need to restart the computer to stop the daemon.  Alternatively, you can kill the daemon process using the Terminal application or Activity Monitor.

  • Mac Defender Malware?

What is Mac Defender Malware? what does it really do? I Never heard of Mac Defender Malware & I Wanted to ask about it? cause i see the little yellow link about it & i'm ready to click it, i been seeing it for weeks now or something like it or whatever whatever? can i click the link to read about it? is it safe? sorry this is a stupid question

Recently discovered malicious software dubbed "MACDefender" (also goes under the name of MacProtector, MacGaurd, MacSecurity or MacShield) takes aim at users of the Mac OS X operating system by automatically downloading a file through JavaScript. But users must also agree to install the software, leaving the potential threat limited.
The new MACDefender malware was first noted on April 30, 2011 by users of the Apple Support Communities, and was highlighted on May 2 by antivirus company Intego. If the right settings are enabled in Apple's Safari browser, MACDefender can be downloaded to a system after a user clicks a link while searching the Internet.
"When a user clicks a link after performing a search on a search engine such as Google, this takes them to a web site whose page contains JavaScript that automatically downloads a file," Intego said. "In this case, the file downloaded is a compressed ZIP archive, which, if a specific option in a web browser is checked (Open 'safe' files after downloading in Safari, for example), will open."
    More details here:
    http://www.reedcorner.net/news.php/?p=138#more-138
However, users must still agree to install the malware after it downloads. After the ZIP file is extracted, users are presented with the "MACDefender Setup Installer," at which point they must agree to continue and provide an administrator password.
Because of the fact that users must agree to install the software and provide a password, Intego categorized the threat with MACDefender as "low."
Users on Apple's support forums advise killing active processes from the application using the Mac OS X Activity Monitor. MACDefender can then be deleted from the Applications folder by dragging it into the trash. There is also a 'MacDefenderKiller' uninstaller available here:
    http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/38520/macdefenderkiller
On May 24 Apple issued this Knowledge Base Article on how to avoid or remove the MacDefender malware (which has been updated several times):
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4650
But that does not mean it is over. On May 25, MacGuard is launched:

Apple  released Security Update 2011-003 on May 31, 2011, which adds malware detection and removal for the "MAC Defender" scam and delivers a daily update mechanism for updating subsequent malware definitions. This is for Snow Leopard only.
The security update for Mac OS X 10.6.7 is available from Software Update or the company's Downloads page. Installing the update does not require a system reboot.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1387
(The malware is not to be confused with MacDefender, the maker of geocaching software including GCStatistic and DTmatrix. The company noted on its site it is not affiliated with the malware.)
Trojans and other malware spreads through search engines like Google via a method known as "SEO poisoning." The sites are designed to game search engine algorithms and show up when users search for certain topics.

  • My site has been hacked. Any tools available to locate and remove "Code injection"?

Google has identified a couple of pages on my web site which malicious code installed into them and Google has listed my site as harmful.   "Malware infection type: Code injection."
I searched for the code through Dreamweaver-  Edit- Find and Replace but came up empty.
Does dreamweaver have any other tools to help locate the malware?

No, DW doesn't have any kind of malware finder/virus removal tools.
The files would be infected at the server level if Google is picking it up and those files will need to be deleted.
You may or may not have an issue in your local files, chances are good that they're totally clean.
Talk to your hosting company about getting the server disinfected.
