Hello,
I have many boxes from my screen.
I want to manage this boxes from an external table.
example:
Definition TABLE:
COL1
COL2.
I insert in table this element:
COL1=TOTO & COL2=TATA
normally,
i activate my box like this: BOX_TOTO_TATA = 'X'
i want activate my box from the table:
BOX_[TABLE-COL1]_[TABLE-COL2] = 'X'.
How can i write the code?

You have to run the startup script from the machine where you want to start the server
          for now. Also the script has to be different for admin and managed server as the init
          arguments to java commands are different.
          We have plans in future to start managed servers from admin servers itself.

2 TopLink Java Object from Table to be used in single selectOneChoice

Hello everyone, can I ask for help on how to solve my problem....
Here's my scenario, I have 2 tables namely tblCollege and tblCourse, they are related through tblCourse.CollegeCode = tblCollege.Code.
I use the jdeveloper wizard using TopLink -> Java Object from Table to add these table to my project. I created an EJB Data Control so that I can use them to my Userinterface using ADF Faces.
What I really want to do is that I need to have selectOneChoice component displaying:
tblCollege.Name + tblCourse.Name, and it should have a value of tblCollege.Code + tblCourse.Code,
so for example in my
tblCollege:
Code---------Name
1---------------Science
2---------------Music
tblCourse
Code-------Name-----------CollegeCode

what I want in my selectOneChoice is like this:

I see a couple of angles of attack, but this really depends on the technologies involved. If you are using ADF Bindings in combination with ADF Faces then you need to shape the data at the entity level. If ADF Bindings are no the in equation, you can take a less aggressive approach and shape the data in a managed bean. What is not clear to me is the end-to-end use-case. I see the read-only (i.e. how to get data to the drop box), but I am
not certain what attribute on an entity you are attempting to set. Are you trying to set the course for the current user or for a master schedule? Finally, notice that the final shape of your data set shows a unique combinations, you could increase the performance of your use-case and ease of development simply by denormalizing your schema.

CMP from Table Bug!

Hi all:
I'm using the free version of JDeveloper 9.0.2. I'm trying to create a CMP Entity bean from a table but the dialog box does not allow me to list tables from a different schema. Is there a way to change the schema so that I browse any tables defined to my test oracle instance?
The documentation says that the CMP from Table dialog should have a "schema" check box on it but mine does not. Is there some configruation setting that is needed to enable this feature?

Will it let you create a CMP bean from a table accessed via a synonym? At present I'm having a DBA copy tables from a centrally managed scheme to my development schema so that I can begin development and hope that Oracle will fix this issue soon.
I'm using the latest version and I'm very surprised this hasn't been addressed. This seriously needs to be addressed. I can see the tables via a synonym so why in the world can't I create a CMP EB??

I have SAP BW system and SAP HANA System
SAP BW to SAP HANA connecting through a DB Connection (named HANA)
Whenever I created any Open Hub as Destination like DB Table with the help of DB Connection, table will be created at HANA Schema level ( L_F50800_D )
Executed the Open Hub service without checking DELETING Data from table option
Data loaded with 16 Records from BW to HANA same
Second time again executed from BW to HANA now 32 records came ( it is going to append )
Executed the Open Hub service with checking DELETING Data from table option
Now am getting short Dump DBIF_RSQL_TABLE_KNOWN getting
If checking in SAP BW system tio SAP BW system it is working fine ..
will this option supports through DB Connection or not ?
Please follow the attachemnet along with this discussion and help me to resolve how ?

Here the issue is At OH level ( Definition Level - DESTINATION TAB and FIELD DEFINITION )
in that there is check box i have selected already that is what my issue even though selected also
not performing the deletion from target level .
SAP BW - to SAP HANA via DBC connection
1. first time from BW suppose 16 records - Dtp Executed -loaded up to HANA - 16 same
2. second time again executed from BW - now hana side appaended means 16+16 = 32
3. so that i used to select the check box at OH level like Deleting data from table
4. Now excuted the DTP it throws an Short Dump - DBIF_RSQL_TABLE_KNOWN
Now please tell me how to resolve this ? will this option is applicable for HANA mean to say like , deleting data from table option ...

Changing from tables to CSS

OK, my mind is mush and I need a little help.
Client shows me a website he looooooooves. The whole thing is tables! Uh oh!
I have done a fair amount of the heavy lifting on this one and need some tweaks in the CSS. The entire gismo -- along with the old table-based website!!! is here. We're going on line with this pretty soon and the client is sending me content.
The top of the page is the redesign, the bottom is all of the tables. As you can see, I have done <div> work on it so that it works. I don't need any more navigation than I have, so the left-hand side navigation is not needed. I would like the navigation that I do have to be centered on the red bar. I would also like to be pointed to a tutorial that will show me how to make Dreamweaver CS3 do pre-loaded images and swaps for the navigation bar, as I have bold versions of the text for navigation for mouseover and select.
Despite the fact that I did tell the stylesheet that I want the centered table with the address, phone and hours of operation to be yellow, it's still white. I would also like a red outline that is about the same color as the red navigation: #A00000
If you need the stylesheet, which is an amalgam of old and new, I can put it here.
I would like to use this particular page as an example of how to go from tables to <div> with fixed width and will completely flesh it out sooner or later and offer it up to this Forum as an example of how you can get the best results on the modern Internet by converting from the 20th Century to the 21st.
To reiterate:
I need a tutorial on preloaded images and mouseover to change an image.
I need to finish this gismo, styling the menu to the center and the location and hours of operation box in yellow with a red border.

Another way:
Go to the edit mode of the screen select the table control column you want to make it as check box and follow the menu EDIT->CONVERT->check box.
(make sure that column definition in itab/ddtab is of size 1 char)

Error while deriving the currency from table T001P.

I am trying to run payroll for NZ using schema NZ00 but i am getting an error stating "Error while deriving the currency from table T001P. Error during initialization of Payroll"
I have checked V_T001P, V_T001 and have deleted the personnel area and subarea and again created it but still i am unable to solve this problem.
Could you please help me as to where this error can be corrected.

About the incidence, the problem might be related to the links between
personnel area, company code and currency set up (table T001P, T500P and
T001).
Please check the following points:
1- Have you assigned the Personnel area to the Company code under SPRO -
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Human Resource Management
-> Assignment of Personnel Area to Company Code.
2- SPRO -> Personnel Management -> Personnel Admin -> Basic Settings ->
Determine Currencies (Public Sector Currency Need to be maintained along
with the other node).
3- SPRO- Personnel Management -> Personnel Admin -> Payroll Data ->
Basic Pay -> Define Hourly Rates for several decimal places. (Please
maintain all the nodes).
4- Maintaining the table t500c through transaction code OE00.

A Colour Management tutorial from an amateur

Archiving at the end of a long project I came across a document I assembled at the start when I wanted to teach myself about colour management. I spent several weeks reading, experimenting and putting together these notes, but it all came to nought. To quote from the notes:
…I chose not to use colour management when printing my books on a Xerox iGen3. I converted the InDesign files to PDF with all colour management turned off, and asked the printer to print ‘direct’. The iGen RIP converted RGB images to CMYK, and CMYK images were printed as per the colour numbers. Using certain colour settings for my monitor, and for Photoshop and InDesign, I was able to obtain a very close match between what was on screen and what was on paper without the need for profiles…
I've asked a fair few questions here over the years, and this forum has been a great help, but I rarely offer anything in return. Well, here's a little something that some people might find useful. A mob of information about colour management, collated from various sources with my tuppence worth here and there to make it flow. It was put together before my InDesign days when I used Pages, so forgive the mediocre layout.

I believe that indicates that you do not have wireless encryption enabled. If you enabled wireless encryption, the light should turn green.
3) how does iTunes work through the extreme box? am i supposed to plug my home cinema into the extreme box somehow?
The AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) has no special features to support video/audio directly. iTunes has nothing to do with the AEBS.
The AirPort Express (AX) has an audio out port for streaming music from iTunes.

How to start managed server from admin server both running

I have an admin server on one machine and created a managed server on different
machine, I am not able to start managed server from either machine. When I used
the admin server machine to start the managed server remotely I got this message

Try running netstat to see whether another process is actually running at

Also check using ifconfig/ipconfig or directly checking /etc/hosts file of

Try running the manageed server directly (as sort of admin) by not passing
the admin server url and bringing it just like an admin server.
See if this works. If it works, then soemthing wrong in the way the admin
server is receiving the request/security credentials from managed server.
Also make sure both managed and admin servers are on the same patch/service
pack level.

Add Fields from table ADRC (Fields Name 1 to 4) for Open Item Processing

Hi SAP Expert:
Our client requires vendor/customer name to be displayed in the open item processing line layout for transaction code f-58, so they can double check if the vendor name is complete as intended.
We intend to add fields from table ADRC instead of REGUH since the characters in maintaining vendor/customer name is 40 characters and REGUH - ZNME1s are only 35 characters.
We have managed to add fields from ADRC and change the SAPDF05X program and were able to display the names in open item layout, except that the program seems to "automatically" create a generic table which only carries 30 characters of the vendor/customer name. The source table should be RFOPS_DK but the program automatically looks up from table RFOPS_GEN for the particular fields - Name 1 to 4. Is there a way to "instruct" the program to use RFOPS_DK instead of RFOPS_GEN?

Thanks, i have assigned the layout via o7v3, it is the program that i have a problem with, actually another program that we change is the program MF05BFPO where it generates data to be displayed in the FBZ4 screen, though we add a field with 40 characters (ADRC Name 1 to 4) what the program dispalys is a 30 character Name1 to 4 from structure RFOPS_GEN.
My question is can i extend/change the structure RFOP_GEN to 40 characters, is there any SAP standard program that will aftected if i do so? thank very much...

Combo box in table

Hi,
I have a combo box in table.
In my table i have 5 Rows with 3 column and in 3rd column i have my combo box.
Now my problem is i want to set my own value in combo box but when i write:
comboBox.setvalue(3)
then it update all the combo box in each row with the same value.
I want to update my combo with different value in each row.

Load Combo Box from MS Access

Me and a co-worker are trying to learn the Designer for a proof of concept (yes, that means newbies). We are currently struggling with loading a dropdown combo box from a table in an MS Access database. We have the connection set up and the field assigned to the control. It populates with the first record from the table, but clicking on the dropdown button does nothing. Is it only populating with one record? Is there a property on the control that is not allowing the list to expand?
I saw another thread in this forum on this topic and the last entry in the thread included the phrase "I GAVE UP" - not very encouraging. This functionality is a must-have and seems pretty basic.
Any advice?

I have been trying this using a Data Drop-down List and I cannot get it work. I have a data connection set up and instead of selecting Table from the choice I used an SQL query to select only one column in the table. There are three lines in the script some of which are confusing to me. var sDataConnectionName = "DataConnection"; //I got this one. it was easy var sColHiddenValue = "<value>"; var sColDisplayText = "<value>"; The last two I'm really not sure what to put there. I tried putting the name of the table column in place of each of "<value>". but it doesn't work. What else do I need to do to get it to work?

CMP Beans from Tables: Why does the Container try to create new tables?

I'm trying to develop an EJB application using JDeveloper on 9iAS. I have several CMPs and have my tables that I want my CMPs to be based on already defined in my DB schema. I want to use CMP but I don't want the Container to create the tables, rather I want the Container to map my CMP EJBs to the already existing tables.
The issue is:
While creating these CMP EJBs in JDeveloper I chose the "New Enterprise Java Bean" EJB creation wizard using the option labeled "Container-managed Entity Beans from Tables". My assumption is that this does what I want, because the wizard prompts for a schema and table you want to map to. Then it creates the attributes & getter/setter methods, PK class, etc. all based on the table defintion automatically. Great. So why when I try to run my application do I get error messages for each EJB such as:
Auto-creating table: create table STREET_TYPE (PK_STYP_ID NUMBER(8), STREET_TYPE VARCHAR2(20), primary key (PK_STYP_ID, STREET_TYPE))
Warning: Error creating table: ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object
Huh?? I thought the idea is that the CMP EJB is mapped to the existing table in my schema. Why is the Container trying to create new tables?? Is this possible? Or am I missing something fundamental about how Containers create and manage CMPs? Or is this just a JDevelop container issue? TIA

If so, in the application.xml file of you
OC4J instance the is a setting autocreate-tables,
which by default is true!
Set it to false as below and that should clear up
your problem.

</bindings>In my managed bean, in addition to the accessors for the bindingContext of bindings, I have:
 BindingContainer bc = getBindings().findBindingContainer("testPageDef");
 ControlBinding cb = bc.getControlBinding("TestRO1");
 RangeBinding rb = (RangeBinding)cb;
 List testList = rb.getRangeSet();
 Iterator testIter = testList.iterator();
 int testCount = testList.size();
 while (testIter.hasNext()) {
 Map attrs = (Map)testIter.next();
 System.out.println(attrs.get("C1")+","+attrs.get("C2"));
 //Do some fancy stuff here with the values.
 }However, my testList.size() always returns 0.
Is this the right method to programatically access the data from the view layer from a managed bean, or have I missed something completely? Are there any working samples that I could take a look at?
