Manage Content via WebApp
Hi All,
I want to manage testimonial on my site in BC for this I use webApp by this I can insert testimonial via Admin panel and testimonial display on front end.
I've create a webapp for this and insert the testimonial and my testimonial output look like this :
1. Testimonial 2
2. Testimonial 3
3. Testimonial 1
and when I click on the above it take me to the next page and shows the testimonial I use All Listing which provide me the following code which is :
{module_webapps,20630,a,,,,,,,}
What I want is to display testimonial in the following format :
Testimonial 1 content goes here....
Testimonial 2 content goes here....
Testimonial 3 content goes here....
Or is there any other way to manage testimonial where admin can insert the testimonail and dispaly in frontend.
Please help me that how I can show the testimonial in the above format.

In the BC Admin area goto Web Apps and click your Testimonial Web App. On the next screen click the "Edit Web App Settings" button. Next, click the "Layout" tab on top which will bring you to the layouts for your web app.
You can update these layouts however you wish. It looks like with the {module_webapps} tag you are using that you are using the default List layout so you'll want to update/edit the default list layout. By default, BC generates some basic HTML layout for you with some TABLE code which is messy so you can easily update it.
Guarav above wants to know what fields you included but every Web App has a title and content by default so you can easily get your Testimonial to look how you'd like with the following List Layout HTML:
<p>{tag_name_nolink} {tag_description}</p>
Replace your List Layout with the above code and when you use {module_webapps} to display a list of web apps it will use this layout to display them. You can add other fields that you added to your list layout as well. Let's say you added a field called "Job Title" to your Testimonials Web app and wanted to include it when you used {module_webapps} to list your web app items. Edit that list layout again and add {tag_job title} (notice the space-- if your field in your web app has a space, be sure to code it that way in your {tag_}) If you named your field "JobTitle" the tag would be {tag_jobtitle} (no space).

New to Connect Enterprise - manage content/persmissions
I am a new administrator of our Connect Enterprise
Server [we have it on our own server, it is not hosted elsewhere] I
am trying to logically set up several different "rooms"
[administrators?] Groups and Content Folders. I am having a heck of
time. I have a license for 10 "rooms" [administrators?] who can
create meetings, add users (participants?) assign users to meetings
and promote them to host. After that, things become a mess! I want
each host of each assigned meeting the ability to manage their own
uploaded content, and I can't seem to set permissions where they
can do that. Currently they can access uploaded content via the
Meeting >Manage room with connect enterprise manager. Once they
get in there, they cannot create new folders, nor can they move it
(even to a shared folder that I thought I gave them permission to
'manage' that folder...)
I will manage about 12 to 15 individuals who will
host/present meetings -- each will upload a LOT of content.Each of
the other Administrators (of my 10 allowed) will be needing to do
the same thing. Can I give someone who is currently a participant
assigned to a group, and promoted to host for specific meetings,
permission to manage a folder of content? ANY help would be

I did get this unit about this time a year ago.
Never could do anything with it at the shop not having wifi or internet.
So instead of throwing it in the ditch, it was a paper weight all this time.
Then a member here sparked an idea to use the ATV vs the iPhone at the shop.
I think I'll leave the Vs right where it is.

Had this happen to me after a recent update, was super annoying. To turn off, go to Settings > AirPlay > Conference Room Display > Off.

To get Document content via RFC
Hi forum,
I have a small bsp-application to show documents for a material-number stored in the SAP-tresor (via ftp).
The SAP-tresor is installed in the core-system, the WEB-AS is another server.
I developed a remote-enabled function module called get_doc_content_rfc. This function module reads some customizing to get all values for calling the function module CV120_DOC_CHECKOUT_TO_TABLE.
Now, when I call my get_doc_content_rfc in the core-system, I get the document content via the function module CV120_DOC_CHECKOUT_TO_TABLE. When I call my function module get_doc_content_rfc form the developer-system via RFC in the core-system, the function module CV120_DOC_CHECKOUT_TO_TABLE dosn't deliver the document content.
In the debugger, I can see, the function module CV120_DOC_CHECKOUT_TO_TABLE opens a ftp-connection to the server with the tresor and then reads the document content. Do I use my function module get_doc_content_rfc in the core-sysem, the ftp-connect can be established. Do I use my function module get_doc_content_rfc via RFC to the core-system, the ftp-connection opend by the function module CV120_DOC_CHECKOUT_TO_TABLE gets a time out.
Now, my question. what can I do, to get the document content via RFC from the core-system.

i have just upgraded from an iPhone 3Gs to an iPhone 5. I am trying to transfer all my content via icloud but having problems logging in - it keeps telling me the server is not responding. Nano sim hasn't yet been registered - does this affect things?

Managed Content Folder Pagelet: Can Sub-folder list be sorted?

It seems that even prefixing the names of folders with numbers cannot influence the random arrangement of folder names. Is it possible to sort these for Interaction Hub 9.1 ?
The image below is of a homepage pagelet that was generated with the Pagelet Wizard for the type 'Managed Content Folder.' Note that when viewed from the managed content 'Browse Folder' these sub-folders do appear in order 1 through 8.Is the content of the pagelet a navigation collection?
I have seen that in a navigation collection we can specify the order using the 'Placement in Folder' drop down.
I am assuming these options should be similar for Interaction Hub 9.1 as well? Let us know if this was useful or if you are still running into issues. Thanks! -
SharePoint 2010 Manage content and structure copy operation issue
Hi,
I am trying to copy a subsite from location A to B in the same site collection using the copy operation of Manage content and structure. Site is getting copied but default.aspx page is not getting copied to the destination. I tried copying the default.aspx
page directly using copy operation but that too is not working. There is no error thrown but the page is not coming up in the pages library of destination site.
As a workaround, i copied the page using SharePoint designer but i am looking for a solution to this issue.

According to your description, my understanding is that you could not copy default.aspx page using Manage Content and Structure.
I did a test about this issue, and found the followings:
1.When I checked out the publishing page, then copied the site to other location at the same site sollection with Manage Content and Structure, the page was not copied.
2.When I checked in the page without publishing, and copied the page as the step1, the page also was not copied.
3.I published the page, then copied it, the page could be copied.
So , for resolving your issue, please check the default.aspx page, make sure that the page is published.

Item level security not available to accounts with manage content?
Though I'd post this here before trying metalink.
Environment: App Server Portal 9.0.4 (10g) on Win200
The scenario:
I have set up a page with one item area. This is set to be a portlet on another page and act as a message board.
I wish to set up a group of users to maintain this message board, but restrict their access any further.
Setting a user up with 'Manage Content' on the Page properties almost does this. It allows them to Enter/Edit/Move or delete items but pretty much no more which is exactly the level of access I require.
What it doesn't allow, when they add or edit an Item, is the ability to change Access permissions.
The page has 'item level security' ticked, and a user with higher 'Manage' access can set access permissions on items, for example only allowing a certain group viewing an item, but it also allows them to manipulate the page which I do not want to permit.
Is it possible that 'Manage Content' level users can also set access on items?

Also I was trying to set access on an item created by the 'manage' user, which was beyond the 'manage content' users scope, and not a practical situation. -
Submitted content via UCM not showing up (blank page) in Oracle Webcenter
Hi All,
Once in a while (1/10, recently more and more), when users in our system Database Version:10.2.0.3.0 ---Oracle Database 10g Enterprise - UCM/Webcenter uploads new content via UCM or updating an existing content, they experience a blank page on the corresponding Webcenter page, i.e. all metadata on that content page in Webcenter appears to be blank.
In UCM the content metadata and all downloads are uploaded successfully. Our workaround is to enter the content via UCM and submit it without any changes to its metadata fields (blank submit). Sometimes, it takes more then one blank submit.
Another problem that might be related to this is downloads related items of the parent record on the content getting zero size length on Webcenter. Again, our workaround for this is to blank submit the related items via UCM, or re-upload these downloads via UCM so they be downloadable in Webcenter side.
If more info needed for this please let me know.

Alex.I probably didn't explain myself. We have two UCM instances: contribution and consumption. UCM contribution instance used to submit/update new/existing contents. These content aren’t available immediately on the Oracle Webcenter, instead, these contents replicated to the UCM consumption instance and available from there to Oracle Webcenter.
We never update/create new content via UCM consumption.
So, if for instance I've updated content xyz on UCM contribution, these changes are replicated to UCM consumption and then Oracle Webcenter can retrieve the info from content xyz and present this corresponding page.
I think the issue with blank pages (metadata fields - HCSP forms) or zero size download files has something to do with replication between UCM instances.
To fix this issue, we just submitting (blank submit - without changing any field) the form via UCM contribution instance, or we have to upload the same file again for it to replicate. -

i have created an admin server, called adminserver
then i have created in the same domain a server called managedserver
both servers run on the same machine,at different port number.
i have created a machine, and associated managedserver to it.
in the machine/configuration/nodemanager i have set listenaddress localhost and
listenport 5555.
my nodemanager starts automatically at htat port. however, when i try to start
the managed server via adminserver console, i got the exception mentioned in
the subject.
can anyone help?

can anyone point me to the right direction for solving this problem?
in the adminserver console i have defined a machine for teh managedserver, and
nodemanager is supposed to run at localhost:5555 (and indeed it does, because
ihave started it successfully).

Sorry, this is not a solution to your problem but i am trying to solve the same
problem for a week now.
I have wl7.0 sp2, 1 admin server, 2 managed servers on the same box. I get the
same error. I know that the default certificate installed provides a hostname
verification of weblogic.com. I turned the hostname verification off, i put in
the Dweblogic.nodemanager.sslHostNameVerificationEnabled=false, i get the same
error when starting the managed server. I went ahead and created my own certificate
for machine called mallik, created my own passphrase, created a new keystore,
made the admin server view the keystore, used the same certificate for both the
admin server and the node manager. It still fails with the same error. I went
ahead and added the machine 'mallik' to nodeManager.hosts file. It fails. I am
totally confused now what needs to be done.
My nodeManger.hosts looks like this:

i have created an admin server, called adminserver
then i have created in the same domain a server called managedserver
both servers run on the same machine,at different port number.
i have created a machine, and associated managedserver to it.
in the machine/configuration/nodemanager i have set listenaddress localhost
and
listenport 5555.
my nodemanager starts automatically at htat port. however, when i try
to start
the managed server via adminserver console, i got the exception mentioned
in
the subject.
can anyone help?

in the adminserver console i have defined a machine for teh managedserver,
and
nodemanager is supposed to run at localhost:5555 (and indeed it does,
because
ihave started it successfully).

Start managed servers via admin console
Hello,
I have installed weblogic server, created a domain, added a managed server. All working fine. Now I want to be able to start managed server through admin console.
According to this documentation (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13222_01/wls/docs81/adminguide/confignodemgr.html), it should all be pre-configured for development environment. But when i try start the managed server in admin console, it says "server does not have a machine associated with it." I added a machine and assigned that machine to the managed server, now it says "the Node Manager associated with machine m1 is not reachable.".
Can someone point to instructions on how to setup this on dev environment. In one of the instructions, it is suggested to change nodemanager.properties in common\nodemanager folder. But this file doesn't exist in my environment.
All i want is to start all admin and managed server with one script or with start the admin server and able to start the managed servers via console.

Check from the console whether your node manager is reachable or not.
Console Path:
Machines -> <YOUR_MACHINE_NAME> -> Monitoring (tab) -> Node Manager Status (sub-tab) -> Status: Reachable

Still even after this if the node manager is not reachable
Check the node manager logs,whether you get any exceptions

Manually Manage Content?
I have a massive iTunes amount of music and video, and have recently started storing most of my video on an external drive and my iPod Classic and not in my iTunes library. (There's a fair bit of content I do want with me at all times, and I'm on the go so often that keeping my iTunes library entirely on an external drive doesn't work for me, as that means carrying an piece of hardware, power cord, and firewire cord with me everywhere, which kind of defeats the purpose of a portable computer.)
I'm considering an Apple TV, but had a question before I shell out a few hundred bucks.
Obviously, to get content onto the Apple TV, I have to load it back into my iTunes library, which I don't have a problem doing. Once it's there, do I have the option with the Apple TV to manually manage content the way I can on an iPod, or may I only sync it? That is, can I load content into iTunes, put it on the Apple TV, then delete it from my iTunes library the way I've been doing with my 160 gig iPod?
Thanks:)No, you cannot, in theory or otherwise. Being able to select, even very specifically, what items to sync to the AppleTV is still far different than manually managing content the way you can with an iPod. With an iPod you can turn off syncing and manually drag and drop content from iTunes to the iPod. After manually moving content to the iPod you can delete it from iTunes and the content will not be deleted from the iPod unless you yourself delete it.
Specifying what items to sync to the AppleTV does not allow you to delete those items from iTunes as the original poster was hoping to do. Doing so would cause those items to be deleted from the AppleTV at the next sync. The closest "in theory" solution would be to choose what items to sync and then delete the files from your HD but not remove the items from your iTunes library. This would probably work but would be very, very risky as choosing to consolidate or refresh your iTunes library would result in the deleted files being remove from the iTunes library and ultimately from the AppleTV on the next sync. So the simple answer is no, the AppleTV is not able to work the way the original poster and many other people had hoped.

Why page is being unpublished when moving from Manage Content and Structure ?

I am getting strange behavior in Manage Content and Structure as below :
when I move published pages from site 1 to site 2 , all moved pages in
site 2 are being unpublished !!
and mention below status :
Status: Checked in and viewable by authorized users.
how to move pages from
Manage Content and Structure so that I don't need to publish the moved pages manually ?

This is a default behavior as a new content is added to site 2 with a different metadata so it is marked as unpublished
