  • Can I manage more than one iTouch from one PC?

A family member has an iTouch managed with iTunes on PC. Another family member would like an iTouch but does not have a computer.
Can one manage more than one iTouch from one PC? How? Does one install separate instances of iTunes somehow on the PC for each device?
There is also the desire to have separate Apple Store accounts for each device. We don't what synced devices.

*How to use multiple iPods with one computer*
The Apple support document How to use multiple iPods with one computer suggests a number of ways. I use method two (Sync with selected playlists) with a slight twist. Rather than regular playlists I set the grouping field to indicate which users should receive which tracks and create smart playlists based on the content of this field.
    e.g.
"Alice's Tracks" is "Grouping contains Alice" + "Kind contains audio"
"Bob's Videos" is "Grouping contains Bob" + "Kind does not contain audio"
Tracks that both Alice & Bob want on their iPods have the grouping set to "Alice/Bob"
    etc.
I currently manage our family's five iPods using this system, each getting a different selection to suit their tastes and the capacity of their iPod. An advantage of using the grouping field is that it is stored in file tags (for non-wav audio files anyway) so that it is relatively easy to recreate the playlists should the iTunes library get trashed. Also useful if you move files about manually as playlist membership is preserved when you delete & re-import the tracks.

  • Deploying more than one webapplication on single cluster

    Hello Folks,
Is there a way to deploy more than one webapplication on single cluster of weblogic. Presently, we are getting an error while deploying second webapplication as
“Context path is already in use by the module: First Application Name”.
Awaiting reply, ...Thanks in Advance :)
    Amit

    Hi,
Yes, We can. For Instance . Your weblogic cluster consist of two managed servers. Each managed server different port number.
    managedserver1: http://localhost:7003
    managedserver2: http://localhost:7005
so your webapplication context name is same all managed servers.
http://localhost:7003/context,http://localhost:7005/context. you should select running weblogic cluster on jdeveloper ide when you deploying webapplication to server then the webapplication deployed all managed server.

  • How to manage more than one manager

    Hi!
I would like to manage more than one manager for every user (organization).
Can I write more value to manager attribute?
    I use Oracle IDM 11gR2.
    Thanks in advance,
    Attila

In this case, you might need to create a manager structure based on Roles and create a role for each identified manager and put in it those users whom they manage. OIM only allows for a single manager per user on the user form. There is no default functioanlity to allow for this type of manager structure though, so if you see any checkboxes that limit based on manager, it will not work for this. Also any email notifications that are configured to go to the manager will also not work. You would have to use the APIs to see what role the current user is a member of, and then maybe you can add a custom field to your roles to limit what is returned like "Is Manager Role" and if true, return only those.
Just a few ideas to get you headed in the right direction.

  • Can i create more than one instance for single database?

    HI
anybody can tell me how to create more than one instance for single database(without using RAC)?
    thanks
    Kalanidhi

    Anandji,
I sometimes think differently. I also think like what this person is asking..(although I have installed and administering 5 different RAC databases)
The main doubt of mine is that we create multiple instances accessing the same storage area.
Anyway the controlfiles of all instances will have the same information except the instance_names and instance id's.
Hence I always think , why can't it be possible to to create another instance in the same system and point it to a controlfile which is copied from the other instance.
Why can't the same files be shared between the two instances in a same system ?
I know I am thinking a little bit confusing...
Anyway I need to test that also...
    Mahesh.

  • Manage more than one news module in the same website

Hi, I am wondering if it is possible to manage more than one News module in the same website and have them all display different content.
Like a news module in the News section displaying announcements and a press section module displaying press related news f. e.

    Hello
    Possible: yes
    Recommended: no
This can certainly be done and Discoverer will not prevent you from having reports that use different business areas as you describe.
However, for management and security purposes it does not make for ease of use. As you know a user has the ability to share a workbook with another user. If they do this then ALL reports within that workbook are shared. If the receiving user does not have access to one or more of the business areas then some reports will run and some will not. This can be very confusing to an end user and a possible nightmare to administer.
My recommendation would be to have a workbook per business area and not mix.
If there is more than one business area per functional area, for example sales and returns, then so long as the users have access to both business areas then you could use a common workbook.
Personally I would not even do this, so my strongest advice would be to have all reports in a workbook written against the same business area.
    Hope this helps
    Michael

    Dear Srinivasan,
I don't think you can maintain the more than one address for single customer as per the standard.
    You can this options
1.You can create different ship to parties as per the addresses.
2.You can change the address manually while creating sales order for single customer.
I hope this will help you,

Either remove the semicolon (;) or the slash (/) at the end of your query, as both will execute it.

  • More than one ipod on a computer

My household has 2 ipods - 1 x 30g and 1 x 80g. I use this computer for my ipod and the itunes store.
Can you sync more that one ipod to a computer? If not how do you do this without getting another computer?
    Thanks

If you are adding a second iPod for your own use, just connect the new iPod to your computer and follow the on screen instructions. It will update from your existing library. Depending on the size of your library and the type of iPod you choose you can have it update all songs and playlists, selected playlists only or you can manage it manually.
If the iPods belong to different people, there are basically two ways of using multiple iPods on a computer and these involve:
    a) Sharing a single iTunes library and or user account or
    b) Creating multiple user accounts.
Note: When you are sharing an iTunes library, you don't have to set each iPod to update in the same manner, you can mix and match from the options below as each iPod has it's own update settings
Sharing a Library and/or User Account
If you want to share the one library, you can set either or all of the iPods so that they only get updated with only certain playlists (you can update from more than one if you wish):
Loading songs onto iPod automatically - Windows
Choosing the update option "Sync Music - Selected playlists" allows you to create a playlist specifically for the iPod and drag the tracks you want into it. If you tire of the list and want to change it, you just add or remove the songs you don't want. The ones you take out out remain in the library to be used some other time if you choose. You can read more about playlists at these links:
iTunes: Creating playlists of your favorite songs
How to create a Smart Playlist with iTunes
Or you can choose to update any or all of the iPods manually and just drag whatever content you want to them: Managing content manually on iPod
Loading the iPod shuffle differs slightly but it can still be used with the others, for details have a look at this page:
Loading songs onto iPod shuffle - Windows
It's also possible to have multiple libraries in a single account. To create or access a second (or more) library, hold down the Option key (or Shift key in Windows) when launching iTunes 7. In the resulting dialogue you will get the option to create a new library or navigate to the other Library.
Note: You can only have one Library open at a time and iTunes will default to the last library opened if you don't use the keyboard command to choose one. This can prove tricky when using multiple iPods, if you don't use the keyboard command you can risk syncing to the wrong library:
    Using multiple iTunes libraries -Windows
    Separate User Accounts
Another option is to create a separate User account for each person on your PC or Mac. Different accounts by definition would give you completely separate libraries. Each account has it's own iTunes folder, Library and iTunes Music folder and you load it with CDs etc just as you did with your original one. The iPod can be set to update however the owner chooses, sync all, manual or sync specific playlists
I don't use Windows so I can't give you a step by step on that one, however I can point you to another web page which should help you out. You can read about Windows user accounts here:
    Using Windows XP User Accounts

  • Packing more than one items in single packing material.

    Dear All,
I require to pack more than one material in a single packing material. The requirement is as below.

Now I have to pack these material in a box such that 10 qty of each material (A,B,C,D & E) is packed in single box. Making total number of boxes to 50.
    Please help.
    thanx in advance,
    Anup

    Dear Anup,
    Please try below steps
1)Goto VL02N to change the delivery, you already created.
Or you can do the following steps while you are creating a delivery also.
    2)Go to "pack" icon.
3)In the upper section, enter the "packing material"
4)In the lower section, change the "partial quantity" to 10 for material A.
5)Select both the lines of upper section and lower section and click the green ok. It generates a shipping unit/handling unit number.
6)Now, select both lines of upper & lower section & click the button "per part. qty" (New HU per part qty of material)
Check: click "General Overview" icon to see whether it packed 10 pieces of material in 5 cartons.
You can repeat the same process for Material A, B, C, D  and E.
    Hope this helps
    Thanks

  • Managing more than one logical component in SMSY Current System Assignments

    Hi,
I have a problem with managing logical components in TA SMSY in my Solution Manager System, in the section "System Groups and logical Components". I want to maintain more than one logical System e. g. from Type Application Server ABAP --> SAP NETWEAVER APPLICATION SERV.
That means e. g. i want to maintain 2 or more Demo Systems from different Servers or Instances of the same Product Version in the same logical Component .
What I want to know is, is there a way to display these logical components in tne  "Current System Assignments" - View in that form
Logical Component is e.g. : SAP NETWEAVER APPLICATION SERV
product/main instance is   : SAP NETWEAVER [Application Server ABAP]
Product Version | Development System | Demo System | Training System | Production System | ...
    |--|||--

Edited by: Carsten Peifer on Dec 15, 2008 4:03 PM

    Thanks for your quick answer,
but i have to say, that this is not exactly what i've been lookin for.
What I need in my System Landscape is to have each demosystem as a logical Component from the same type (e.g. SAP NETWEAVER APPLICATION SERVER ABAP).
So that in Change Management in a Maintenance Optimizer Transaction i can choose between each demo system in my System Landscape (from the type SAP Netweaver Application Server ABAP) that i will maintain in Maintenance Optimizer, e.g. download a new SP Stack.
My Intention is to create new logical components from type  SAP NETWEAVER APPLICATION SERVER ABAP in my Namespace e.g. ZSAPNW01, ZSAPNW02, ... and to maintain the types of systems (Demo, Development, Training etc ...) for each logical component.
    Is this the only Possibility?
Or do i can also display my logical components the way i descriped beyond?

  • Free goods more than one for a single good

    hi gurus
how to allocate more than one free goods for the purchase of one material. answers will be highly apprecieated

    hi,
FREE-OF-CHARGE Goods delivered on purchase of a material can be created in transaction VBN1. But it can be only on a 1:1 ratio, hence for one material you can propose only one free good. Read the constraints of Free goods as per SAP Documentataion :
    <b>Constraints
Free goods can only be supported on a 1:1 ratio. This means that an order item can lead to a free goods item. Agreements in the following form are not supported: ‘With material 1, material 2 and material 3 are free of charge‘ or ‘If material 1 and material 2 are ordered at the same time, then material 3 is free of charge‘.</b>
Hope i`ve cleared ur query, reward points if so.
