Map ID call in RH11

I have been using RH7 and Map IDs.  I have upgraded to RH11, but I cannot figure out how to get my Map IDs to work.  In RH7 it was a simple URL call, .../roboapi.asp?Context=Map ID  What would the call be in RH11?

Unfortunately, your post shows a generic string and I can't really grasp what you are asking. The error could be anything.
Perhaps it will help if I give some examples.
Here are some common CSH calls to show examples of the syntax:
Context Sensitive Help call with RoboHelp Server 9 (WebHelp Pro)
Here is the syntax of forming the help topic call to a Map ID number.
http://<servername>:<portnumber>/<contextname>/server?area=<areaname>&prj=<robohelpprojectname>&c txid=<Map ID>&wnd=<windowname>
Anything in angle brackets means you would substitute your actual project information.
Some assumptions in this scenario:
You are using the defaut "context" name, robohelp.
The <windowname> property is optional and created by the Author in the client app under Project Setup pod (Window). If not defined, the topic will appear in a default window.
So this is what a "real" string might look like:
http://localhost:8080/robohelp/server?area=general&prj=HumanResources&ctxid=1&wnd=CSHWindow
Finally, be sure you have all RoboHelp 11 client and RoboHelp Server 9 "updates" installed:

  • Information on the flow of a backing map put() call?

    Hi,
    I've been trying to find information on the flow of a backing map put() call. Can you explain how/when/if the put() is backed up in a distributed cache? e.g. is the backup copy updated during the put call as in the case of a normal put through the distributed service?
    Thanks,
    Andy

    Hi,
    I've been trying to find information on the flow of a backing map put() call. Can you explain how/when/if the put() is backed up in a distributed cache? If you do a direct backing map put(), the put() call does not wait for the backup to happen.
    When exactly that backup happens depends on which Coherence version you use.
    For certain later Coherence version (I believe starting with 3.6.0p4) if you did that backing map put from within a MapTrigger.process() or EntryProcessor.process/processAll method (in which case, I believe, it is backed up together with changes done within the EntryProcessor/MapTrigger), or not.
    For earlier versions, a backing map put from an EntryProcessor or MapTrigger is going to be backed up in a backup message which is sent earlier than the backup message for the entry-processor change or whatever change triggered the map-trigger.
    For a backing map put not done from an entry-processor or map trigger, first of all don't do such a thing, as it can not be guaranteed that the partition is local when the backing map put is carried out. Second of all, it is going to be backed up asynchronously and there is no other operation to compare to so nothing more needs to be said about this case...
    e.g. is the backup copy updated during the put call as in the case of a normal put through the distributed service? No, it is going to happen asynchronously, and very probably later than the backing map put() returns. See above

  • [CS2][AS] Make XML import map is calling a refresh on styles?

    If this can be of use to someone else... it's probably not CS2,AS specific.. but this is what i use.
    It's the second time i have a bug like this, where changing the order of my calls is fixing the problem. With this one, i was getting random missing font error (times(1)) while batching documents(wich make the batch script batch crash as there is a modal dialog open). Not always on the same document, it was really fustrating as i was not able to get my finger on the problem!
    I actually knew the source of the problem as i had added a fix (maybe not the best solution, but it was working well) that actually was removing the style from all the text frame (i noticed that using map style to tag was not always working well(when text frame had overriden?), so that's why i added code to reset the style before doing a map. But i was not understanding why it was happening so randomly...
    I tought at first it was happening during save (as it reopen the document) but after a few experimentation it looked like it was occuring during the import map redefinition (See code below: make XML import map with properties {markup tag:tStyle, mapped style:tStyle}).
    Looks like the make XML import is calling some sort of document refresh wich then pop the font missing dialog (even with never interact as script preferences!)! (missing font is actually a bug i had also in other circumstances.. exemple when you have a extra return at the end of a tagged text (outside the tag)). A bit unexpected, i really tought that creating a xml import map was just creating data structure in document model to be used later on by the auto style call...
    The problematic script:
    tell application "Adobe InDesign CS2"
    set myDocument to document 1
    tell myDocument
    --Reset styles.
    set applied character style of every text of every text frame of every spread to character style 1
    set applied paragraph style of every text of every text frame of every spread to paragraph style 1
    --Create a tag to style mapping.
    set tList to name of every XML tag
    set tNumItems to count of tList
    repeat with i from 1 to tNumItems
    set tStyle to item i of tList
    make XML import map with properties {markup tag:tStyle, mapped style:tStyle}
    end repeat
    --Map the XML tags to the defined styles.
    auto style
    end tell
    end tell
    And the working solution (just moved the reset of style after the import map creation loop):
    tell application "Adobe InDesign CS2"
    set myDocument to document 1
    tell myDocument
    --Create a tag to style mapping.
    set tList to name of every XML tag
    set tNumItems to count of tList
    repeat with i from 1 to tNumItems
    set tStyle to item i of tList
    make XML import map with properties {markup tag:tStyle, mapped style:tStyle}
    end repeat
    --Reset styles.
    set applied character style of every text of every text frame of every spread to character style 1
    set applied paragraph style of every text of every text frame of every spread to paragraph style 1
    --Map the XML tags to the defined styles.
    auto style
    end tell
    end tell

    it doesnt print any server control message. in my "page_404.jsp" I am printing current date and time (to check if the server visited that page) everytime when i refresh "index.jsp" the server goes to "page_404.jsp" and prints the current date and time.
    so basically the only message which the console shows is the current date/time which i am printing in the "page_404.jsp"
    Thanks.

  • ABAP-Mapping with CALL TRANSFORMATION

    Hi everybody,
    I got an ABAP mapping that uses CALL TRANSFORMATION:
    TRY.
          CALL TRANSFORMATION (strxsltid)
            SOURCE XML IDOCXML_DOCUMENT
            RESULT XML result.
        CATCH cx_xslt_abap_call_error INTO lr_oref.
          text = lr_oref->get_text( ).
      ENDTRY.
    The TRANSFORMATION returns result THAT GETS ALREADY serialized!
    On base of the result I want to create an new output document:
    * Create output document
      DATA: li_odocument TYPE REF TO if_ixml_document.
      li_odocument = NEW_DOCUMENT.
    * Render document
      DATA: li_ostream TYPE REF TO if_ixml_ostream.
      li_ostream = li_streamfactory->create_ostream_xstring( result ).
    * Create renderer
      DATA: li_renderer TYPE REF TO if_ixml_renderer.
      li_renderer = li_ixmlfactory->create_renderer( ostream = li_ostream
                                                     document = li_odocument ).
      li_renderer->render( ).
    --> The problem is, that already CALL TRANSFORMATION creates a output document. so at the end of the mapping I got a new document wich includes the result of CALL TRANSFORMATION  and NEW_DOCUMENT in one document.
    How can I suppress CALL TRANSFORMATION from writing the output-stream?
    Thanks regards

  • Error in interface mapping  when calling a xsl file

    Hi,
    Using XSLT I am calling another XSL file  into my main xsl file.I have added both the zip files into  a single zip file and imported in my imported archive.But when i do the interface mapping testing i get an error 'Transformer configuration exception occurred when loading XSLT xslt1.xsl'.
    What should i do?

    Dear Sidhvin,
    First test your XSLT in the editor (for example STYLUS STUDIO). In Editor run your mapping and have a look whether you are getting the required result.
    if you are  getting the required result of XSLT then use it in the scenario and after importing this activate it and then run the interface.
    hope this time you will not get any error
    Thanks

    Hi Suraj,
    The sender xml is a structure(FWYT3) which might have data and might not , -
    - <xsd:complexType name="FWYT3">

    If this structure doesnt have data it`ll only show like this in sender xml,ni.e it doesnt show the fields in this structure (T_YWYT3).So this field parvw is mapped to partnertype in target.But when parvw doesnt have any data this field is not at all displayed in this structure WYT3.

  • Without BPM:Call RFC using JCO in interface mapping using java mapping

    Hi all
    I have a very small scenario where REQUEST from the customer comes via Web Service all i have to do is to read the request using SOAP adapter and call an interface mapping(lets say the name is IM_TEST) inside which there is a JAVA MAPPING program written which will call an RFC in CRM using JCO.
    Now this was really simple and i cud test the Interface mapping successfully, but the problem is when loading the scenario in integration directory i have certain things to do
    1. to set the SENDER AGREEMENT which i did correctly
    2. set the RECEIVER DETERMINATION, INTERFACE DETERMINATION AND RECEIVER AGREEMENT now here i am stuck because there is no receiver in my case as the RFC is called inside the mapping only.
    can i call one more message mapping in IM_TEST which will write file onto the XI directory and then in RECEIVER DETERMINATION, INTERFACE DETERMINATION AND RECEIVER AGREEMENT i can mention the reciever as FTP.
    I tried it but i gives the following error
    Runtime exception occurred during execution of application mapping program com/sap/xi/tf/_MM_TEST_WRITE_FILE: com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException; Parsing an empty source. Root element expected!
    Please help me how to complete the scenario so that customer can run it end to end.

    What do i do then...actually this is the project requirement. They want a very fast response from PI and thats why they wnt us to omit BPM and the Graphical mapping from the scenario.
    I am able to test the interface mapping which calls the the Java mapping inside which there is an RFC call, but i cannot implement it end - to - end as there is no receiver business system in this case. The only business system i have is the SOAP sender.
    I am really troubled now, please help me with a solution.
    Is there any other possible way through which the process can become very fast whic hcan meet their requirement.

  • XSLT mapping - namespace problem?

    Hello,
    I am trying to proces a message with the following format:
    <XMLMESSAGE  xsi:nonamespaceSchemalocation='schema.xsd' >
       <ORDER>
         <HEADER>
         </HEADER>

      </ORDER>
    <XMLMESSAGE>
    the mapping (XSLT or message mapping) throws an exception. During runtime or test, this is the same.
    The problem occurs, I think, because of the nonamespace atriibute. If a change or remove the value, the mapping is fine.
    Does anybody know if I should save the file mentioned in the attribute somewhere? Or is there a workaround for this problem?

    No, this is not possible.
    When you have an ABAP proxy, create a webservice with that proxy and call it via SOAP adapter.

  • How to call hr_location_api.create_location for different address style with only those fields that belongs specific to  that address style.

    How to call hr_location_api.create_location for different address style with only those fields that belongs specific to  that address style. It should decide at run time means at run time it will come to know the type of address style and based on that only the fields which belong to address details mapped to calling hr_location_api.create_location.
    Thanks in advance.

    You can create a wrapper package on top of the API (hr_location_api.create_location)
    In the wrapper package you set all the values dynamically based on your requirements(say the style and add_line columns are populated on your conditions) and then you call the API.
    Does that not work ?

  • How to call multiple request to CRM and R/3 without BPM

    Hi all
    I have a scenario where a SOAP request will come to XI via webservice
    I then have to call an interface mapping which has Java mapping in it(the java code is basically calling an RFC in CRM) - then i'll receive the response of interface mapping and send it back to the customer.
    Step 2 :The SOAP request which i have received in the first place is to be written as a flat/xml file onto a directory for backup purpose
    Step 3: there will be a separate process where the response of rfc will be fed to an IDOC request structure and send to R/3 as a dashboard IDOC.
    All this is done without BPM.
    So my first problem is "how to write an incoming SOAP request to a file without using BPM?? "
    Second I knw that interface mapping can be directly added in Integration directory's Interface determination by making the property as enhanced but "In the Sender Service i write the Business system which contains soap comm channel and in the interface i write the outbound synchronous interface which is the SOAP outbound that hits the xi for the first time But i am not sure what service do i write in the receiver section as Interface mapping is in XI only....theres no other business system or communication channel involved in between."
    I really need help...plz help me

    Yes abhishek
    Client dont want BPM involved as it makes the process really slow
    First of all i wanna knw how to use enhanced option in an interface determination....in the ID
    as i am trying  to load my interface mapping but it says no object found
    I am giving you the structure of interface mapping
    MI_OB_SAX_MAP (outbound async source interface of interface mapping )
    MI_IB_SAX_MAP (inbound async target interface of interface mapping)
    MT_OB_SAX_MAP  (source message)
    JavaClass - test_java/sax_map (Java mapping program)
    MT_IB_SAX_MAP (target message
    Now when i am trying to configure this in ID
    BS__ (Sender business system)
    MI_OS_TEST_JAVAMAP (sender SOAP interface)
    But i dnt what receiver business system should i select in receiver service ??
    as the java mapping is calling RFC inside the code...so no other business system involved
    i m stuck.....if u could plz have a look into it

  • Problem by adding attachments in Java Mapping

    Hi,
    we have to add some attachments in Java Mapping.
    So we are using the Java Mapping API.
    But it doesn't work correctly.
    We got the following error in sxmb_moni:
    Attribute Manifest ExampleAttachment is initial
    So we checked what happened in the Manifest and in the SAP SOAP Envelope and we see that there is an inconsistence.
    In the SAP Manifest we find the following entries:
    <SAP:Manifest xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xmlns:wsu="http://www.docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-utility-1.0.xsd" wsu:Id="wsuid-manifest-5CABE13F5C59AB7FE10000000A1551F7">
         <SAP:Payload xlink:href="cid:payload-79a6e3c088db11dfa4dd0017a477c1e8<at>sap.com">
              <SAP:Name>MainDocument</SAP:Name>
              <SAP:Description/>
              <SAP:Type>Application</SAP:Type>
         </SAP:Payload>
         <SAP:Payload xlink:href="ExampleAttachment">
              <SAP:Name>ExampleAttachment</SAP:Name>
              <SAP:Description/>
              <SAP:Type>ApplicationAttachment</SAP:Type>
         </SAP:Payload>
    </SAP:Manifest>
    For us it seems the entry for our ExampleAttachment is wrong. I think there must be a real content id for the attachment like the cid for the MainDocument. In the SOAP Envelope you can find the following entry for the attachment:
    content-type:text/plain
    content-length:45
    content-id:payload-79a6e3c088db11dfa4dd0017a477c1e8<at>sap.com
    This is an example for an attachment!
    --SAP_0017A477C1EC1DEFA3D200A5CB55CE04_END--
    So here you can see a real content ID, but you can't find it in the Manifest.
    So do we anything wrong in our source code or is it a bug of the SAP API?
    Do you have any ideas?
    Here the Java Mapping we're using for adding an attachment (as a test):
    import java.io.BufferedReader;
    import java.io.InputStream;

         private static final DynamicConfigurationKey KEY_FILENAME    = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");

              // dynamic configuration
              DynamicConfiguration conf = in.getDynamicConfiguration();
              String fileName          = conf.get(KEY_FILENAME);
              getTrace().addWarning("AttaHandler: FileName = " + fileName);
              String text = new String("This is an example for an attachment!");
              Attachment atta = out.getOutputAttachments().create("ExampleAttachment", "text/plain", text.getBytes());
              out.getOutputAttachments().setAttachment(atta);
              String outData = inData;
              try {
                   out.getOutputPayload().getOutputStream().write(outData.getBytes("UTF-8"));
              catch(Exception exception1) { }
         // convert Stream to String
         public String convertStreamToString(InputStream in){
              StringBuffer sb = new StringBuffer();
              try {
                   InputStreamReader isr = new InputStreamReader(in);
                   Reader reader = new BufferedReader(isr);
                   int ch;
                   while((ch = in.read()) > -1) {
                        sb.append((char)ch);}
                        reader.close();
              } catch(Exception exception) { }
              return sb.toString();
    Thanks for your help,

  • XI Message Mapping - Old version gets picked up

    Hi All,
    I changed XI message mapping in my BPM. Sometimes changed mapping gets called and things work correctly. However, most of the times, older version of mapping gets called and program works the old way.
    I refreshed the cache in SXI_CACHE. But the problem is persisting.
    Does anyone has any idea why this is happening and how to correct this?
    Your inputs will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Riyaz

    pls look at this doc page # 13 & 14.. u can understand abt the cache better..
