Mapping 0IR_VAL_RET and 0IR_QTY_RET with extrator 2LIS_02_SCL
hi
i used the 0PURC01 and with extractor 2LIS_02_SCL and i don't know how i can mapping 0IR_VAL_RET ( Invoiced amount, returns) and (0IR_QTY_RET Invoice receipt quantity, returns) with extrator 2LIS_02_SCL
best regard
francoise
Hi ,
The following fileds are source fields for the Info objects
REWRT_R - 0IR_VAL_RET
REMNG_R - 0IR_QTY_RET
As you mentione the fields are not available in LO DS : 2LIS_02_SCL of purchsing.But those fields will be available in the LIS DS : 2LIS_02_S012.
So please find the table for the source field from the LIS DS : 2LIS_02_S012.So based on the table u can do enhance the LO DS : 2LIS_02_SCL.

Ram.

Should we avoid Graphical mapping and stick with Java mapping?
After developing mappings in XI for a month, I just don't see any good reasons to use Graphical mappings over Java mappings. Maybe some experienced users here can give me some valid reasons why we should choose Graphical mappings. Here is what I think:
Disadvantages of Graphical mappings:
1. No way to perform automated unit testings. This is probably the biggest reason I hate it. You can do some tests manually when you work in Integration Builder. But there is no way you can write some unit testing utilities to automate the task.
2. Complexity. Even for some simple requirements, your Graphical mappings can become complicated and hard to understand. A lot of times, I find myself staring at several dozens of graphical nodes and try to understand what it does.
3. Impossible to reuse. This is totally against the DRY (Don't repeat yourself) principle. For example, to generate messages for JDBC adapter, it is common to have two identical fields for primary keys: one in the access node and another in the key node. If you change the mapping logic in one, you have to remember to change the other.
Advantage with Java mappings:
1. Fully automated unit testing. You can create JUnit tests along with your Java mapping classes and use Maven or other build tools to perform automated unit testing.
2. Your choice of XML parsing and binding. With Java mapping, you can choose any open source framework for XML parsing and binding. For example, with XMLBeans, I can convert XML input message to a Java object, transform to another Java object and write to output message. And each Java object is generated from its corresponding XML schema.
3. Highly reusable. We can use fundamental object-oriented designs to create highly reusable mapping components.
4. Better version control. Since the mappings are just Java classes, we can use CVS or SVN to track code changes.
5. Better build tools. We can fully utilize build tools like Ant and Maven to automate the build, unit tests, or even generate documents and mapping web sites.
So do you guys agree? Maybe I am still new to XI or I am missing some important things. But at this point, I just don't see why I should use Graphical mappings. Is there anyone developing XI interfaces completely with Java mappings?
Thanks in advance for any comments!
Kenny CheangHi Suraj,
> Since its graphical the blocks will take space, but
> there is always an adavntage of processing time.
> Ebven though it may appear bigger, it will take less

> mapping).
Could you explain more why the graphical mapping has better performance? I thought the graphical mapping is compiled into a Java class in the runtime anyway.
> Yes thats there, but same goes with Java mapping too
> right (if you haven't mentioned it as constants)
I mainly think about inheritance. If I have to build 10 interfaces and they all have some common behavior, I can create a base interface class to encapsulate the common logic. But with graphical mapping, you have to duplicate them in each interface.
> Disadvantages of Java mapping:
> 1. Performance
Same as above. I just don't see why Java has worse performance. I actually think Java should have better performance. You can optimize the code anyway you want. In some cases, you have to use queue functions in graphical mapping but it's not necessary in Java.
> 2. All might not be well versed with Java Code(though
> everyone may know basic java) .
I am not asking everyone to abandon graphical mapping. I am just wondering which one is better when you have skills for both.
> 3. Lot of standard functions are available in GM
> which you can choose, but you have to remember the
> exact code for those in Java mapping.
You can create functions in Java too. All you have to do is to remember the function name.

I installed the new google maps app and I am unable to make it work because it says, cannot reach server. I have a iphone 4 with 6.0.1 up to date. Please advise where I can locate to check if my location is turned on.
i found a solution for this issue when google maps shows you an empty map error message cannot reach server. Click on the icon next to search and you are supposed to be presented with your profile, if not u will have an empty space. click on that space, then the "gear " Icon and logout.
restart your iphone then strat google maps again and log back in.
apparently this is happening when you change your google acount password or enble or disable 2 step verification. -
Should I download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash to use with Lion? My need for Flash is very basic: Google Maps, YouTube, and content on certain websites. Thanks for any help you are able to provide.
Thanks for the speedy reply. I have read so many comments about Flash being incompatible with Lion I was wondering whether to download it or not. So many sites on the Web still require flash, however, you almost don't have a choice but to download it even if it is incompatible. I gather a better version of Flash will be available for Lion soon. Again, thanks for the help. I will download the latest version of Flash.

I updated my iPhone to the new IOS6 and my awesome Google map app was replaced with the sucky, horrible, awful Apple map app. I want my Google navigator map app back!!!!!!
I agree. I liked the previous map app. The version 6 app is powered by tomtom, I think. No more street view. I don't care for the new overhead view when dropping a pin. Plus, the current map app doesn't have the local points or data base that the google maps app had. Too bad I can't go back to the old map app.

CONM7007I: Mapping the following SQLException, with ErrorCode -901 and SQLS
When I execute a Query it throws
CONM7007I: Mapping the following SQLException, with ErrorCode -901 and SQLState 58004, to a StaleConnectionException: java.sql.SQLException: [SQL0901] Error del sistema SQL.
I am using iSeries DB2 and Websphere V5.
Thanks for your help.Retrying solved my problem:
StaleConnectionException
This exception (com.ibm.websphere.ce.cm.StaleConnectionException) indicates that the
connection currently being held is no longer valid. This can occur for numerous reasons,
including the following:
The application tries to get a connection and fails, as when the database is not started.
A connection is no longer usable due to a database failure. When an application tries to
use a connection it has previously obtained, the connection is no longer valid. In this
case, all connections currently in use by an application could get this error when they try
to use the connection.
The application using the connection has already called close() and then tries to use the
connection again.
The connection has been orphaned because the application had not used it in at most two
times the orphan timeout; then the application tries to use the orphaned connection.
The application tries to use a JDBC resource, such as a statement, obtained on a
now-stale connection.
Code that implements retries in case of StaleConnectionException...
boolean retry = false;
int numOfRetries = 0;
java.sql.Connection conn = null;
java.sql.Statement stmt = null;
do {
try {
// assumes a datasource already obtained from JNDI
conn = ds.getConnection();
conn.setAutoCommit(true);
stmt = conn.createStatement();
stmt.execute("INSERT INTO EMPLOYEES VALUES
(0101, 'Bill', 'R', 'Smith')");
} catch(com.ibm.websphere.ce.cm.StaleConnectionException
sce) {

numOfRetries++;
} else {

} catch (java.sql.SQLException sqle) {
// handle other database problem
} finally {
// always cleanup JDBC resources

} catch (java.sql.SQLException sqle) {
// usually can be ignored
try {
if(conn != null) conn.close();
} catch (java.sql.SQLException sqle) {

Problem with mapping 0SOURSYSTEM and 0LOGSYS in BI7.
Hi,
Can anyone tell how to map 0SOURSYSTEM and 0LOGSYS in BI7. I have these two fields in my DSO and get it populated from the Datasource. To which fileld in the datasource can i map these fields or what routine should i write?
In BW3.0 we used to just include these fields in the transfer structure of the infosource and it used to get automatically mapped in the communication structure. But in BI7 since we are not using infosource we cannot do it.hi,
chk using this in transfer routine

What is difference between Service map iview and Workset Map iview
Hi Experts,
Can anyone tell me the difference between service map iView and Workset Map iView.
When I am creating these iViews, its seams both are same. I canu2019t find difference still, can anyone help me out of this
Thanks in Advance
JanardhanHi,
Service Map Iview:The Service Map iView is an ERP-specific variant of the portal Workset Map iView. It serves as a central point of entry and guided access to the services of SAP service modules such as the Manager Self Service (MSS) module, or the Employee Self Service (ESS) module.
Workset Map iview:A Workset Map is the equivalent of a site map, providing users with explicit information on the functionality that is available in a given workset. It is based on an iView, and serves as a central point of entry and guided access to the contents of a workset.
if you want to more info pls go thr the below thread
Workset Map iView
i hope it will help you

How Do RoboHelp 9 WebHelp Generated Files Handle Map IDs and Aliases?
The text below was written by our team's developer/architect. I am the help author who uses RoboHelp to write content and generate the help files, but I am clueless how it all gets generated and is deployed. Please help. We use RoboHelp 9. I use it in Windows XP and our app and help run on IE 7, 9, and Firefox (multiple versions).
"Our application uses the numeric identifiers associated with the Map ID. For example, to get to the <appname>_home_page.htm file, we use the number 1053. <appname> = pecs, in this example.
All of this is used in a call to a RoboHelp method defined in the RoboHelp_CSH.js file. The mehtod we are calling is the RH_ShowHelp() JavaScript method and the code to perform the call, when you click on Page Help, is this:
RH_ShowHelp(0, ''/pecsHelp/index.htm>pecsHelp',HH_HELP_CONTEXT,topic);
Topic is translated to the Map ID number for the page help. HH_HELP_CONTEXT is defined in the RoboHelp_CSH.js file. This method translates into a URL and from what I have seen, the URL that gets generated is this:
http://{server}[:port]/pecsHelp/index.htm/{server}[:port]/pecsHelp/index.htm#<id=1053>>pecsHelp
Server and port get replaced with the appropriate values. I have no clue how id=1053 is supposed to get translated to mean "pecs_home_page.htm". If you check the PECS_help.h file, you will see the following entry:
#define PECS_Home_Page1 1053
Then in the RoboHelp alias file (PECS 3.0.ali), the following line is in the file:
<alias name="PECS_Home_Page1" link="pecs_home_page.htm"> </alias>
But both of these files are used during the WebHelp generation process and I don't know how the WebHelp generated files handle the Map ID and aliases."You need to assign the numbers you find in the pecs_help.h file to topics in your help. You do this in Context Sensitive Help > Map Files > All Map IDs. (From RH7, but I assume the location is similar in RH9.) This creates the entries in the .ali file.
Peter Grainge suggests a couple of sites to read for a greater understanding here:
http://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/calling_webhelp/using_map_ids.htm
(Although the second site is based on RH X5, the basic concepts and procedures should be very similar. )

Google Maps Navigation and Google Music problem
Hello,
I love the LG G2 but it has a few concerning issues. First, is the squealling, hissing, cracking, popping, etc. during phone calls, but I have seen that brought up by others.
The second problem that I've discovered, and the most upsetting to me, is that when using the Google Maps Navigation and Google Music All Access at the same time, whenever the navigation voice instructs a direction, the music shuts off. It is then silent until the navigation voice instructs the next direction OR when a new track starts. This was not a problem on my droid bionic, so it must be an LG G2 issue. This is a huge problem to me as I travel a lot for work and usually use GPS to find where I'm going, and I subscribe to Google Music All Access so I listen to music in the car. This problem makes that impossible to do (I have to choose).
A related issue, is that my Alpine CD player displayed track information (Artist, Song, Album) with my Droid Bionic, but with the LG G2 it displays 'UNKNOWN'. I find it hard to believe that a two year old phone has capabilities that a brand new phone wouldn't, so I'm hoping these issues will be fixed with a software patch.
Has anybody else experienced these issues, or does it work fine with your LG G2?Hawaii is a part of the USA so you will be fine there. Mexico on the other hand, you will be roaming for data there and could see extra charges for international data.

How can I map the composite_dn name with a composite in run time
Hi All,
I want to craete a report on number of total business and system faults with the help of Information Publisher in OEM 12c Cloud Control. I am fetching data from the table composite_instance_fault present in SOAINFRA schema. Below os my SQL statement:-
select error_category,count(error_category) from prefix_SOAINFRA.composite_instance_fault where composite_dn=??EMIP_BIND_TARGET_GUID?? group by error_category
Now I want to know that how can I map the composite_dn name with a composite in run time. When we fetch data from the repository we used to map target in rumtime by using ??EMIP_BIND_TARGET_GUID?? but here as I am not fetching data from repository, how can I map target in run time.
On executing the above SQL statement its returing an empty table without any data.
Please guide!!
Thanks in Advance!!Hi,
try something like this.
Mike

Mapping editor not working with Java 5 classes
I have a small protoype web service which I wrote using Tomcat/Axis/Spring/Hibernate and using EJB3 annotations for the mappings. I want to port the persistence layer to Toplink.
I installed Toplink 9.0.4.1 and added the toplink libraries to my project and implemented the DAO and the spring bean defs.
I opened the mapping editor and created a project. When I try to add classes to it for mapping I get an error that it can't find the classes (even though I selected them from the chooser). I figured it might be that they were compiled with Java 5, so I switched the JRE_HOME in setenv.cmd to my Java 5 JRE. Now I can import the classes and see the attributes but when I click on any of them in the Navigator panel, the editor panel remains blank. If I now try to save, I get:
java.lang.NullPointerException
at oracle.toplink.workbench.ui.tools.CheckListModel.getRowCount(CheckListModel.java:119)
at javax.swing.JTable.checkLeadAnchor(JTable.java:2949)
at javax.swing.JTable.tableChanged(JTable.java:2993)
at javax.swing.JTable.setModel(JTable.java:2827)
at oracle.toplink.workbench.ui.tools.CheckList.initialize(CheckList.java:47)
at oracle.toplink.workbench.ui.tools.CheckList.<init>(CheckList.java:26)
It seems that the mapping workbench doesnt work with Java 5. What should I do?Ah, I see. I saw another post here stating that must use 10.1.3.

Anyone doe this type of workflow? I need to upload documents and set a renewal date. As that date approaches send an email notification. I was thinking about using BPEL for the process unless there is an easier approach. Thanks
