I agree. I liked the previous map app. The version 6 app is powered by tomtom, I think. No more street view. I don't care for the new overhead view when dropping a pin. Plus, the current map app doesn't have the local points or data base that the google maps app had. Too bad I can't go back to the old map app.

Other than what you have already done, you should clear the cache from your browser and, if you use it, your Facebook app. Also, deleting old texts can free up some room.

What version do you currently have?
If you have iOS 5.0 or later, do not update through iTunes if possible; update over Wi-Fi if you have it. Just go to Settings > General > Software Update. -
I've just updated my iPhone to the new iPhone OS and now it won't work and iTunes won't recognise that it's there. I've uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled twice and it's not working. Please help.
I have not had wifi since November when I upgraded to the newest IOS version. I called the Apple help line and they told me some things to do and I tried them all and they worked for a few hours and then wifi shut off again. I kept doing what they told me and it worked for a couple more days and then I could never turn it on again. My blue tooth doesn't work either. I had to actually increase my data usage with AT&T becuase of this. When I did that in December I went to the Apple store and was told that it is a hardware issue and since my phone is out of warranty I would have to pay for a new phone because they could not fix the issue. My upgrade isn't up until June 2014 so not only do I have to wait for the upgrade and I am not paying for a new phone but I have to pay $10 plus extra a month on my cell phone bill because I was going over on my Data!!! I have been beyond upset about this and Apple is not doing anything about this nor did they offer up some way to resolve the issue because obviously it is not just some rare incident if several people are having this issue. Who knows how many people out there have had this issue and have not said anything about it. Now there is a newer update that I can't do because it requires wifi in order to download.
June can not get here fast enough and I may not go back to Iphone after dealing with this for so long with no help from Apple. -

it wont even turn on, it keeps going back and forth between the black screen and then the apple mark pops up for a few seconds, and then turns back to the black screen again... and that just keeps going on...
someone please help...Seems like ios6 isn't any good for any of their devices. I have an iPhone 4 and recently updated to ios6 and have had all the wifi problems and apps getting hung up on load screens. Restore is your best bet and downgrade if you can back to ios 5.1. If restore doesn't help with a fresh install of ios6 then call every Apple support number you can find and be heard like the 1,000s of other people like us with ios6 problems demanding support. There doesn't seem to be any quick fixes for ios6 other than an update from Apple.

I have tried the above fix and iTunes crashes giving error 27 after trying to load the iPhone firmware.
I have booted my phone in DFU mode and this has made no difference.
My mac is up to date.
My iTunes is up to date.
All i tried to do was update my ios as i have been unable to make calls or send text's all day.
Do you have any other suggestions as my phone is no good to me now.
