Mapping internal URL to Commercial URL

Hello All,
I want to assign my Web Dynpro applications URL to a commercial URL. How do I do this?
For exampple, URL of my Web Dynpro application at Development side is
http://was:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/<sometext>.com/<dcname>/<myAppName>
But in Production side I want to put it as http://<text1>.<text2>.com
How to achieve this?
regards,
Amey

Hi
Here are two scenarios with you:
1. You can ask your network team to manage the external URL where the redirection would be to this URL.
    It would be done at the proxy end. Its like URL A would be the external URL which would be maintained by the Network team and that URL would be mapped to the internal URL B.
2. You can install Web Dispatcher and redirection would be from that URL.
But in both of the cases you need the help of the Network team. They can easily assist you in this case.

  • The URLs mapped as Internal Url of AAM redirects to Public Url while accessing

    Hi All,
    I have created a web application in Internet Zone with the url "http://new.site.com". Then used that url as public url and mapped 10 internal url to it. The internal urls are like http://new.site1.com,http://new.site2.com,http://new.site3.com,http://new.site4.com,http://new.site5.com,http://new.site6.com
    etc.,
    The host headers has been added to those URLs in IIS also. When I tried to hit the http://new.site1.com, the address bar shows the url as http://new.site.com. The same case when i tried to hit all the other 9 urls.
    But I need the internal urls to be displayed in address bar if the user types it. Kindly help me to resolve this issue.
    Thanks

    hi,
    refrence from the article
    http://blog.blksthl.com/2012/12/03/a-guide-to-alternate-access-mappings-basics-in-sharepoint-2013/
    Left area            Internal
    URL’s
    Right area          Public
    URL’s with a zone
    Middle area        Zones,
    is what connects Internal URL’s to Public URL’s, many to one.
    Internal URL redirects or transforms to a Public URL, from left, to right. The URL on the left, is what you
    enter in the address field in your browser, the Public URL on the right is what you will see once there, this goes for visible and invisible links as well.
    Internal URL format: Protocol + URL (+non default port)
    Public URL is the address of the Web Application for one of the five zones available. The ‘Default’ must be filled out and has some special properties/uses,
    the other four are optional. You can only have five Public URL’s per Web Application.
    This is the URL that the browser will be redirected to in the end.
    Public URL format: Protocol + URL (+non default port)
    Zone is a label representing a Public URL, the zone is used to ‘connect’ an Internal
    URL to a Public URL. The zone names has no relation what so ever with the four Internet Explorer security zones (Internet,
    Local Intranet, Trusted sites and Restricted sites) and could just as easily been named 1,2,3,4 and 5. A zone can also represent an authentication provider.
    Zones: Default, Intranet, Internet, Custom, Extranet
    so it clearly says that Internal url will not be shown in browser only public URL will be shown.
    So in your case i suppose what you want to try is not possible.

  • Mapping webapp URLs to a single servlet which forwards to JSP

    I am using JSP for page presentation, but I want to have all requests
              intercepted by a servlet, which will perform various functions before
              forwarding to the requested JSP page. In general, I want the URL to
              reflect the target JSP page, to facilitate bookmarking. I'm using a
              web application to deploy the servlet+JSPs.
              Ideally, I wanted to have all request URLs look like a request for the
              JSP page without the .jsp extension (so
              http://hostname/webapp/here/there maps to /here/there.jsp within
              webapp). However, I can find no provision in web.xml for mapping all
              URLs without extensions to a specific servlet. I can use '/' to map
              all requests to the servlet, but then even image or HTML requests
              get intercepted (and trashed).
              On the other hand, if I map '*.jsp' to the servlet, then when I try to
              forward to the actual JSP page, the servlet gets invoked again
              recursively.
              I could create an arbitrary extension and map it to the servlet, and
              then have the servlet replace my custom extension with '.jsp' before
              forwarding, but this seems a bit funky.
              Has anyone come up with a better solution to this, within the context
              of a webapp? Seems like it should be a not-uncommon scenario.
              Thanks,
                                  -- Peter

    Yes, you can! It depends on how you access the servlet. If you access it via GET method you must add a request parameter to the url to distinguish from which jsp the request comes. If you use POST method (with form submission) put a hidden field in the form and with that field you can recognize from which jsp the request comes.

  • Why does Test-EcpConnectivity throws a warning regarding the internal URL property not being set, when in fact it is set?

    Hello,
    I have setup an Exchange 2013 CU6 environment which contains the following:
    1 machine with client access role
    3 machine with mailbox role
    1 machine with both client access and mailbox server role.
    When I run the Test-EcpConnectivity against the machine which has both roles I get the following:
    WARNING: The test couldn't test the internal URL of this virtual directory, because the InternalURL property isn't set.
    But when I run "Get-EcpVirtualDirectory|fl" against the same machine, it shows that internal url property is set.
    Why is this happening and how can it be solved?

    Hi,
    The Test-OwaConnectivity cmdlet has been deprecated. It is recommended to use the
    Get-ServerHealth cmdlet to monitor server state.

  • Changing Internal URL's to match External URL's for .local support ending.. Issue?

    Our AD domain is a .local domain.. We are renewing our cert and want to ditch the .local names in the cert since they are
    not going to be supported in a year..
    We got a new cert without the local server names which include the .local..
    I then changed all the internal url's to match the external url's in Exchange 2010 (OWA, ECP, Active-Sync, Autodiscover, OAB)..
    However, now all our existing Outlook clients are receiving cert errors.. If we blow away their profile and recreate it they
    work fine.. It appears the clients are using the old SCP name until they are reconfigured and then they use the new one..
    Did I miss a step somewhere?
    Thanks

    Nice, and that name will on the certificate - correct?
    Are all the other URLs updated for:
    OAB
    EWS
    ECP
    OWA
    EAS
    and there is no more .local anywhere in the URL config?

  • Uwc behind a reverse proxy asks for internal urls

    Hi,
    I have an uwc on the msg store. I try to access it through a web reverse proxy, but after the login page which appeared allright, the url is transformed to a internal url which is invalid from the normal outside scope.
    Is this setting a possible one, as advertised or not at all. And what would be the workaround, if any.
    Thanks
    Franois

    Dear Expert,
    Can i know how do you config the reserve proxy to work with the uwc?
    my network topology is:
    machine A: uwc (https://port:443) and MEM (https://port 80) (both are running SSL)
    machine B: Messaging Server (MTA and store)
    machine C: ldap and Identity server
    the login page is https://commexp/uwc , after login, it divide to two main session.
    Mail tab - https://commexp:80
    Other tab - https://commexp/uwc
    How can i set the reverse proxy for this configuration?
    And which proxy are you using?

  • Dealing with resolving internal URLs externally in a non-split DNS scenario

    Hi all -
    I submitted this yesterday under a different banner but thought I'd try this forum as well.
    I have a client who wishes to have internal URLs resolvable from outside the network and they do not have split DNS.  He scenario is this:
    UserA sends a link to UserB in an email.  Internally the URL is MySIte.Acme.int.  UserB picks up the email on his mobile device whilst travelling and wants to gain access to it.  However the external namespace of the company is
    Acme.com.  Obviously the link will not resolve outside of the corporate network.
    So far I have received recommendations for using a VPN, however this is not an option for them.  In a past life I seem to recall something about alternate access mappings (or something like that) and wondered if this was the way to do make the links
    resolvable. And, if so, if someone could point me to a good article on how to implement this it would be much appreciated.
    Alternatively I was wondering if there is some magic that can be done with URL rewrites or an edge device like UAG or TMG.
    Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
    Kind regards,
    Wren

    What I would do is create a new internal DNS zone named Acme.com, create an A record of "mysite" pointing to the IP currently used by mysite.acme.int, and then simply add AAMs (or better yet, replace AAMs as the AAM the user is coming in on is
    what will be reflected in that email).
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sharepoint_strategery/archive/2013/05/25/alternate-access-mappings-explained.aspx
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263208.aspx
    URLRewrite won't work because the Acme.int domain is not resolvable on the Public Internet.
    So the plan of action should be:
    Go to Central Admin -> Delete -> select Remove SharePoint from IIS Web Site, and then choose the option to Delete the IIS web site. Change the AAM for the Web Application under Application Management -> Configure Alternate Access Mappings. Click
    Edit Public URLs, choose the Web Application hosting mysite.acme.int, and then change the Default Zone AAM to https://mysite.acme.com. Go back to Manage Web Applications, highlight the Web Application (you'll see the new AAM reflected here), then click on
    Extend. Create a new IIS site, change the port number (likely 443) with the appropriate host header (mysite.acme.com), select Use SSL, then click OK.
    So a couple of caveats:
    1) All SharePoint servers hosting this Web Application must have the SSL certificate matching mysite.acme.com prior to re-extending it.
    2) If you have any hard coded URLs (e.g. to images) on any SharePoint site within mysite.acme.com, you'll break their links and you will need to manually reconfigure them.
    3) If you've made any manual changes to the web.config, you will need to recreate those changes. It might be a good idea to grab a copy of the web.config for that Web Application (IIS Site) before deleting the site.
    4) Use SSL! You do not want to send NTLM in the clear over the public Internet. It can be easily intercepted and decrypted.
    Hope that helps.

  • Map Viewer URL Connection Issue

    Hi,
    I have an UI project, for which i have created a Deployment Profile named 'adfXXXXXUI' nothing but created a adflibrary for that UI project.
    While creating the adf jar, i have come across an Option called 'Connections' .
    Here i have selected Connection Names Only ... means i will be getting all the names of the connections i have created & those will be reflected in my local connection.xml file.
    After configuring the rest of the params, i deployed my UI project to "deploy -> adfXXXXXUI.jar".
    And we have used this jar to integrate with another UI application ... And the taskflows avilable in the jar will be used in the other UI application.
    Now here is my problem ... Actually my connections.xml file has a URL Connection. This is how it looks like....
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
    <References xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/jndi">
    <Reference name="MapServer" className="oracle.adf.model.connection.url.HttpURLConnection" xmlns="">
    <Factory className="oracle.adf.model.connection.url.URLConnectionFactory"/>
    <RefAddresses>
    <XmlRefAddr addrType="MapServer">
    <Contents>
    <urlconnection name="MapServer" url="http://sbsys1.intra.schneider.com:8109/mapviewer"/>
    </Contents>
    </XmlRefAddr>
    </RefAddresses>
    </Reference><Reference name="snibuilddb" className="oracle.jdeveloper.db.adapter.DatabaseProvider" credentialStoreKey="snibuilddb" xmlns="">
    <Factory className="oracle.jdeveloper.db.adapter.DatabaseProviderFactory"/>
    <RefAddresses>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="subtype">
    <Contents>oraJDBC</Contents>
    </StringRefAddr>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="user">
    <Contents>sni_guest</Contents>
    </StringRefAddr>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="port">
    <Contents>3720</Contents>
    </StringRefAddr>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="hostname">
    <Contents>uxsys186v</Contents>
    </StringRefAddr>
    <SecureRefAddr addrType="password"/>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="serviceName">
    <Contents>snit0.world</Contents>
    </StringRefAddr>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="DeployPassword">
    <Contents>true</Contents>
    </StringRefAddr>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="oraDriverType">
    <Contents>thin</Contents>
    </StringRefAddr>
    </RefAddresses>
    </Reference>
    </References>
    All the taskflows avaialble in my jar using the URL connection which mentioned above. But the adflibray jar got created with a file named 'jar-connection.xml', where i can see <Reference/> as an empty Tag. Because i have selected connections name only as an option when creating the adflibrary for my UI.
    Hence it is appearing so ... But when i added this jar to the other application, i have dragged & dropped the taskflows as a region on to the JSPX page. And i started running the page. On the page .... i can see only the data which is not making use of MapServer connection defiition. Along with that, some maps needs to rendered .. but that is not happening. Rest of the page with the filter critieria is being displayed properly.
    Now i have selected Include Connection Details as an option, by editing the adfLibrary Deployment profile of the UI & redeployed & found the same thing. Like, though i specify the Include Connection Details as an option ... i did not see those URL connection details in my jar-connection.xml file.Still it is not working.
    All the taskflows inside the jar are trying to use this URL connection from jar-connection.xml, which is avaiable inside the adfLibUI.jar.
    I tried with a scenorio some thing like ... For the application to which i have added this adfUILibrary, there itself i created a URLConnection ... but it did not worked as well.
    Requesting you to let me know how can i get avail of my URL connection in to my jar ...
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kiran Konjeti

    This is purely ssl issue. You can try adding the below logic first.. This code basically sets ssl properties for us.
    import java.security.Security;
    Security.addProvider(new com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Provider());
    Properties properties = System.getProperties();
    String handlers = System.getProperty("java.protocol.handler.pkgs");
    if (handlers == null) {
        // nothing specified yet (expected case)
        properties.put("java.protocol.handler.pkgs", "com.sun.net.ssl.internal.www.protocol");
    else {
        // something already there, put ourselves out front
        properties.put("java.protocol.handler.pkgs", "com.sun.net.ssl.internal.www.protocol|".concat(handlers));
    System.setProperties(properties);
    Below you start your code....

    Hi,
    Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
    Please check below mention point.
    •  Create a relevant DNS entry in the mentioned zone to point to the RDS environment’s internal IP address
    •  Create a relevant DNS entry in external DNS to point to the firewall which is publishing RDS’s external IP address
    •  You can use the below mention script to change the FQDN of the RDP files provided by RD Web Access / RemoteApp and Desktop connection feed.

  • Mapping an url-pattern to a servlet in a hosted environment

    This may not be exactly the right place for this, but I thought someone may have had similar experiences and be able to suggest something...
    My JSP/Servlet application runs fine in a Tomcat -standalone environment, however there are certain mappings (hrefs and what-not) that do not function when I upload it to the hosted environment I am using. For example, the index page contains a link to something like /xyz. /xyz is an url-pattern specified in my web.xml that is then mapped to a servlet. The hosted application gets an Apache 404 when following such a link, because (the hosting help desk tell me) by default the only requests that Apache forwards to Tomcat are /*.jsp, /*.xml and /servlet/*, as defined in their httpd.conf.
    Are any of the following possible?
    1. They introduce somes line into the Tomcat section of their httpd.conf forwarding requests like myHostedSite/xyz to my instance of Tomcat (and so not forwarding theirOtherHostedSites/xyz).
    2. (My preferred shot-in-the-dark) They introduce a line into their httpd.conf that, for my site, then references another configuration file (on my part of the system), in which I could maintain a list of mappings that Apache should forward to Tomcat.
    Otherwise, I guess, I am left to change all refences in my code and pages from /xyz to /servlet/xyz which is ugly and feels like a kludge.
    Any hints, tips, help or advice (or even directions to a better place to post this) gratefully received.

    For Point 2, surely they are using a Virtual Host for your app on tomcat? this means they should be able to configure ALL requests to Tomcat based on your Virtual Host. Unless of course your using thier host name and utilising only the context path???
    The httpd.conf should have something like:<VirtualHost your.domainName.com:80>
        ServerAdmin [email protected]
        DocumentRoot /path/to/your/app
        ServerName your.domainName.org
        ErrorLog /path/to/error/log
        CustomLog /path/to/custom/log
        JkMount /*.jsp worker1 //your worker.properties file
        JkMount /*.html worker1 //your worker.properties file
    </VirtualHost>With the DocumentRoot set it should default all your gifs, jpegs etc but route htmls, jsps and servlets through to your tomcat instance as configured with your worker.properties file.
    I have to admit, Apache to Tomcat integration can be a nightmare and the Apache httpd.conf file is a monster but the above code should work provided you have yout own domain name.

    Anthony

  • Mapping webservice url

    Hi,
    Is there any way I can map my webservice similar to the way you map a Servlet
    in the web.xml?
    ie.
    currently my webservice url is:
    http://localhost:7001/Inventory/mtn/inventory/InventoryService.jws
    I would like to make it something like:
    http://localhost:7001/Inventory/InventoryService
    Thanks
    Lomeus

    Hi neeraj,
    Thank you very much for your response.
    As you mentioned about A ,B and C,
    I will explain about the usecase in those terms.
    A has request and response schemas.A has some response format. Both A and B are intended for meter reading after we give some input from A.B is from external vendor(external refarence).That vendor is going to give their WSDL url (It is not yet given).
    I am giving the Oracle Jdewveloper SOA composite editor picture also( I am assuming this based on input,Correct me If I am wrong):
    A sits in 'exposed services' swimlane and B sits in 'External References' Swimlane.I want to create one BPEL Process (That is C) which acts as bridge between both services.
    The requirement is : Request goes from A (A will have its own request and response schemas) to BPEL process(C).BPEL PRocess ( C ) talks to B and it has to take the(transform the) response from B and it should transform that response into A response fornat.Because A can't understand B's response.So B's response should be converted into A's response format.
    I assume that A and B services response formats have similar kind of fields(suppose A has one field like name ,B may have it as company name.I need to map or transform those parameters using transform activity(This is assumption)
    That was the reuirement.
    In order to get that, Do I need to map A's response schema to B's response Schema so that whatever response we get from B is converted into A's response format?
    How do I send request from A(What happens to response schema of A?) and How do I transform from B's response format into A's response format?
    I hope this has given clear picture about the requirement.
    Can u give guidance in this regard?
    Thanks in advance.
    Please help me out as it is very critical.

    Hey guys.
    Am trying to access my jsp files using mapviewer over the internet. i'm using a dial-up modem from tech to provide a public ip. and want to access it at home using a mobile simulator. it gets to the page but it won't display the map because when it calls

    it returns the location of the image followed by ?refresh=3022972......
    such as http://hostname:portnumberforapplicationserver/mapviewer/images/omsmap10_30.png?refresh=3022972................
    i can access the image by typing the url without the "refresh" part.
    any suggestions as to how i can take it out of the url or why it shows up or what can be done?..
    Thanks in advance,

    actually am sorry it wasn't the refresh part that was creating the problem.
    if i type in the url for the map image in the web browser it works fine, but it i type the url in a mobile simulator such as nokia mobile simulator or even an actual mobile device it does not show up and comes up with an error. why is that? i've enabled images to be shown and set up the proxy and everything properly. the rest of the GUI works fine, just the map image won't show up!! please help...

  • ACE class-map match url syntax

    Can someone help me with the string that would match a url with no path specified?  For instance; user types "https://outlook.domain.net" into their browser and I want the ACE to redirect that request to https://outlook.domain.net/owa".
      2 match http url oulook\.domain\.net\

    Adam and Shday,
    I'll give you a hand on this =)
    Adam we can solve your problem only if you're doing SSL offloading on the ACE as the layer 5 information that needs to be checked is being sent encrypted.
    In case SSL termination is configured then the configuration would be like this:
    rserver redirect OWA
      webhost-redirection https://%h/owa 301
      inservice
    serverfarm redirect OWA
      rserver OWA

    Shday yours is pretty much the same but you need to decide if class-default needs
    to be in place:
    rserver redirect Domain
    webhost-redirection http://%h/any_path 301
    inservice
    serverfarm redirect Domain
       rserver Domain

  • Map image url not being displayed on mobile devices

    Hey guys
    Am having problems displaying the image of the map using mapviewer on a mobile simulator or even a mobile device itself.

  • How to map a url that does not match with the context root  ?

    does weblogic support url that does not match the context root ?
    ex. the context root is AAA. the welcome page can be
    retrieved using http://localhost:7001/AAA
    Can it be configured to use http://localhost:7001/BBB to bring up the index.html in context root AAA ? if so, how ?

    I agree with Imp68.
    It still amazes me that in 2014 so many web sites are still not standards-compliant and instead insist on sniffing for the user-agent.  And, in the majority of cases, I've found that the websites work fine with any modern browser.
    phardell,
    To be clear, Safari is not the problem, the website is!  The developer of this website is still living in the 1990s and needs to move forward with the times.  Imp68's suggestion will cause Safari to "pretend" to be whatever browser you wish.  Try choosing "Safari 7" if that worked for you in the past and the website will likely go back to working.  If that does not work then try choosing "Internet Explorer 10" from the menu and see if that works.
    No matter what the result, you should look at the bottom of the page for a link to report problems with the website.  Submit a comment that tells them that they need to "modernize your website to support all modern web browsers".
    Good luck.
