Mapping maintainence generated table to SPRO

Hi Guys,
I have created a Z table and checked the table maintainence generator box for it. I have done this so that user can easily edit the table contents.
Now I want to map this maintainence generated table to my SPRO.
How do I do it ?
Its very urgent

  • Table Maintainence generator Error Special Character '_' in generic key

    Hello,
    I have created a Table which contain 6 fields. All the fields of the table are primary key. The combined length of all the primary key is 163 characters. In the activation Log of the table we have a warning message which states "Key length > 120 (Restricted functionality)". Initially we are able maintain the entries using SM30. BUt now when we are making the entreis in the table an error message comes. The error is Special character "_" in generic key.and we are not able to save the entries.
    I have deleted the table maintainence generator and have regenerated it. But the same error is coming.
    Please provide your suggestion.

    Is it viable to go for a table maintaninence  generator or go for program which will delete the entry from the standard SAP table.
    Which is the best method to go.

  • Expert - Generating SCD Type2 Mapping for a Table Operator - To Share

    Hi All,
    I have created an Expert which generates a SCD Type2 Mapping for a Table Operator being used as Dimension.
    Let me know how I can share this expert. This forum has helped answer many questions and I would like to contribute.
    Thanks,
    Sam.

    Hi David,
    I am trying to follow the steps as on that page. But I am stuck at step 5 - to upload the zip file. I cannot find the "Add an Attachment" link in the page toolbox.
    The steps on that page are
    1)Use the link in the "Page Toolbox" (right-hand column) to add a new page, with a title describing the expert or script.
    2)In the keywords for the page, enter "OWB USER CONTRIBUTED EXPERT".
    3)On that page, describe the expert or other script, the version of OWB it was developed for (including patch level), how to install and use it, and who to contact with any questions.
    4)Package the Expert files in a Zip file.
    5)Use the "Add an Attachment" link in the Page Toolbox to upload your Zip file as an attachment to the page for your expert. Alternatively, post a link to your own web site where the expert can be downloaded.
    Thanks,
    Sam.

  • Table maintainence generator

    what is the need of table maintanace generator? is it reqired maintain for every table.? plz give me detaailed explanation on this??

    Hello Pavan,
    Table Maintenance is used to maintain the values of a custom table.It is not required for all the tables.It is required only in those tables where you give the option to the end user to maintain the table data.Based on your requirements,you may want to change or add/delete the contents of your table.The procedure for table maintenance is:
    1)Go to se11 and type the table name in Display or change mode.
    2)Using the menu path Utilities -> Table Maintenance Generator .Table maintenance is generated.
    3)To be able to maintain your table using a transaction(using a transaction for table maintenance dialog),you need to do the following.
    •Create a new transaction of the type “Parameter Transaction” from SE93, specifying SM31 as the transaction.
    •The VIEWNAME parameter is set to your table name with the option ‘Skip initial Screen’ set.
    •The UPDATE parameter is set to value ‘X’.

  • Mapping the Fact table to different levels of a dimension

    Hi,
    I have a fact table which stores the data for 4 levels of the dimensions. The aggregation method was taken care by PL/SQL and the fact table will have the data for all the 4 levels. When im trying to map all the levels to a column in the fact table using the OEM, it is generating the F KEY constraints referncing the columns mapped for the various levels of the dimension.
    The problem is that im using a denormalised table for maintaing the values of the dimension. So the columns mapped for the levels(Except for the lowest) can't have the unique key defined on it. The cube is not getting created because of the error in creating the F KEY.
    Can u please suggest how to map this fact table.
    Thnks,
    Manohar Vanama

    I am not exactly clear on your schema but I believe you are trying to map tables which are not strict star or snowflake. This means that you cannot use CWM1 (and OEM), unless you change the structure of the tables. You might be able to map the tables with CWM2. The document below will assist you:

  • Robohelp 9 does not generate table headers

    Hi all,
    the new table style mapping works, but is of no worth for me if Robohelp is not able to generate table headers in the Word output. Having headers in Word is also a prerequisite for the first line to repeat on each new page.
    Is there a way to output the first line as a header?

    Hi,
    I can partially confirm that. HTML does have the concept of table headers, captions, footers and content. When using a table that is set up correctly, most browsers will render the table header on every printed page:
    <table>
         <thead>
              <tr><th>First heading</th><th>Second heading</th></tr>
         </thead>
         <tbody>
              <tr><td>Value</td><td>Value</td></td>
         <tbody>
    </table>
    RoboHelp does not use such tables. You can manually create these tables in HTML mode. When converting that to Word, the table headings are correctly converted to a Word table heading. In my default Word template, these headers correctly repeat after every pagebreak. But when you switch to Design view, RoboHelp then removes the structure information. The above table will be recreated as:
    <table>
      <tr><th>First heading</th><th>Second heading</th></tr>
      <tr><td>Value</td><td>Value</td></td>
    </table>
    This table will not have it's first row set as a header in Word.
    As to what to do, I can think of two options:
      - You can write a script to quickly transform the tables in your project to have a table structure that works for printed documentation. Since RoboHelp will reset your tables, you will need to execute this script every time you want to generate your Word output. Also, because the structure of the tables will be changed, you probably need to amend your css. (The first table row uses th instead of td.)
      - Personally, I use default RoboHelp tables and I use the macro Peter mentioned. Peter's site contains several macro's that will greatly improve the quality of the RoboHelp Word output.

  • Generating tables from Toplink

    Using Mapping Workbench 9.0.4.5
    I'm trying to generate table specifications from an existing class model. Sometimes the table generates with an error.
    Other times, Toplink comes back with an OK and a lousy table definition: only a couple of attributes defined. The class is large, but that attributes are almost all simple types.
    What should I be looking for?
    Thanks

    Robert,
    That is very odd. I have not heard of this sort of failure condition before. Ideally when a failure happens I would prefer to see a support request opened to help identify the specifics of the scenario so the issue can be resolved or the usage configuration that lead to the issue be identified and resolved.
    If you are unable to open a support request please send me the workbench project or a reproduction that we can use to identify the issue and propose solutions. My email address is available by selecting my name on side and viewing my forum profile.

  • How to map lookup main table field in another main table using MDM 7.1?

    We created a new SAP MDM 7.1 repository with multiple main tables.  The first main table is called ProductMaster table which contains Products information.  The ProductCode is the primary key and the only display field for the table during data loading process. The second main table is ProductByRegion table which has a main table lookup field ProductCode and a RegionId field.  These two fields (ProductCode and RegionId) combine as the PK for this main table.  Both main tables have key mapping enabled.
    I was able to load ProductMaster table using Import Manager.  But Iu2019m having trouble to load data into ProductByRegion table using MDM Import Manager.  Although I have met all the 5 requirements below (excerpted from MDM Import Manager Reference Guide P.222), the ProductCode wonu2019t show up on the destination value pane.  If I mapped all productCode to NULL field, ProductCode wonu2019t load.  If I u2018Addu2019 all ProductCode to Destination Value pane, the Import Manager added duplicated rows to Product Master table while only loading 1 record to ProductByRegion table.  I canu2019t get ProductCode show up in Matching Destination Field list.  When I checked ProductMaster records in MDM Data Manager, I right-clicked on one of records, chose Edit Key Mappings, it didnu2019t show anything.  However, if I right-clicked on one of those duplicated rows, Edit Key Mapping shows remote system and key correctly.
    Where did I do wrong?  How can I fix the problem?
    Thank you for help in advance.
    From: SAP MDM Import Manager Reference Guide:
    Mapping to Main Table Lookup Destination Fields
    Import Manager handles main table lookup fields (Lookup [Main])
    differently than other MDM lookup fields. Specifically, Import Manager
    does not display the complete set of display field values of the records
    of the underlying lookup table. Instead, the values it displays for a main
    table lookup field are limited by both the key mappings for the lookup
    table and the values in the source file.
    Also, Import Manager does not automatically display the values of a
    Lookup [Main] destination field in the Destination Values grid when you
    select the field in the Destination Fields grid. Instead, for a main table
    lookup field value to appear in the Destination Values grid, all of the
    following conditions must be met:
    u2022 The lookup table must have key mapping enabled
    u2022 The lookup field must be mapped to a source field
    u2022 The source field must contain key values for the lookup table
    u2022 The destination value must have a key on the current remote system
    u2022 The destination valueu2019s key must match a source field value
    NOTE ►► The current remote system is the remote system that was
    selected in Import Manageru2019s Connect to Source dialog (see
    u201CConnecting to a Remote Systemu201D on page 416 for more information).

    Hi Michael,
    Thank you very much for your response.  I'm new to SAP MDM, I need some clarification and help regarding your solution.
    I did use two maps to load ProductMaster and ProductByRegion separately.  Here were my steps:
    1. create main table ProductMaster with key mapping enabled at the table level and set ProductCode as unique and writable once (primary key).
    2. create a map to load ProductMaster record from a staging table located an oracle database.  But Key mapping didn't show anything when I looked at them using Data Manager.
    3. create main table ProductByRegion with a lookup field looking at ProductMaster table.  This field and RegionId combines as a unique field for ProductByRegion table.
    4. create a map to load ProductByRegion table.  But ProductCode records only shows on the source pane not destination pane and can't be mapped properly.
    My questions:
    1. How can I "Ensure that you add key mapping info for all ProductMaster records" besides enabling Key Mapping on the table level?
    2. How can I define a concatenation of ProductCode and RegionId as a REMOTE KEY"?
    Thanks a lot for your help!

  • Generated Table not visible in tree

    hi,
    I have registered a Schema and
    select object_name,
    object_type,
    status
    from user_objects
    order by object_name,
    object_type;
    Results of the statement:
    OBJECT_NAME OBJECT_TYPE STATUS
    EXTRADATA177_L LOB VALID
    NAMESPACES178_L LOB VALID
    PLAYER TABLE VALID
    PLAYER$xd TRIGGER VALID
    PLAYER_T TYPE VALID
    SYS_C004803 INDEX VALID
    SYS_XDBPD$176_L LOB VALID
    I am wondering why the PLAYER Table doesn't appear in the connections tree on the left side (Tables node).
    Is this a bug or doesn't show SQL Developer these generated tables? Via DB Search I can find the table but I can't edit it.
    Thanks

    Yes, it is a bug since 2 years now!
    As (temporal) workarounds, you could:
    1. log on as "SYS" (or ask your DBA) and go change the "generated" flags for the tables you need (subtract 4 from sys.obj$.flags - would leave it at 0 normally).
    2. delete the AND O.GENERATED='N' line from the SELECT in +\sqldeveloper\extensions\oracle.sqldeveloper.jar\oracle\dbtools\raptor\navigator\table.xml+
    3. create a user defined XML extension, starting from the xml obtained above.
    Have fun,
    K.

  • Extraction from R/3 generated Table

    Hi,
    I have a situation that i have to extract from a table in ECC R/3 and that table name changes and changes mainly during transports as it is a SAP generated table containing the Fund and Fund Center.
    but i need to extract the data  but not able to use it as the table name changes.
    Anyone please can throw some light  on this how to use the extractor in this situation and how to work around with this table ????
    Thanks,
    GG

    It is generated when it goes to the target system, right?
    This table name would be stored somewhere, trace the R/3 programs associated with the table to figure out how it finds the table name.
    Have an FM based extractor which will follow the same logic to dynamically select from the table (by finding the table name in the same way as SAP programs do).
